Winnie the Pooh, Rudolph, and Frosty's Christmas in July/Transcript

From Pooh’s Adventures Wiki

Opening/Bowser (in a cameo appearance) tells the Story/Winterbolt's imprisonment[edit | edit source]

  • Bowser: Yepperino. Believe it or not, Rudolph's nose went out. And all because of something that started years and years ago, and I mean years. Long before you, me, and heck even before Pooh Bear and his pals ever existed, all this territory was ruled over by..(flashback)...a powerful magic king of the North Pole named.....Winterbolt.

(Snow Dragons roaring)

  • Bowser: And this terrible tyrant's powers came from a scepter of solid ice.

(Winterbolt zaps the good creatures as the Snow Dragons blasted them with their icy breaths)

  • Bowser: And all the good creatures who dared defy his wickedness were destroyed or driven away from their northland homes.
  • Winterbolt: (laughs evilly)
  • Bowser: Old Winterbolt's tyranny lasted for ages. But one day..
  • Winterbolt: Ohh! Who's..
  • Bowser: ...there came a being who was more than his match. One of Zordon's companions: Lady Boreal, the Queen of the northern lights who took on human form in order to defy Winterbolt and defend the oppressed and innocent.
  • Lady Boreal: King Winterbolt.....for years, I have seen your malevolent cruelty. And now I take human form to command thee' stop this tyranny at once! You've caused enough pain and unhappiness.
  • Winterbolt: You don't frighten me. Be gone.

(Winterbolt zaps Lady Boreal but deflects it)

  • Lady Boreal: You had your chance, cruel monarch of the north. And now I must silence you.
  • Winterbolt: Forever?
  • Lady Boreal: Alas, nothing is forever. But you will fall into a deep, deep sleep and so you shall remain so long as my magic burns bright.

(Lady Boreal zaps Winterbolt)

  • Winterbolt: Aah! Aah! Argh! Too powerful for me. (drops his scepter) Your force...overwhelms...me.
  • Bowser: (chuckles) And he fell into a profound sleep of many, many winters.

(The Snow Dragons fall under the same spell as they sleep)

  • Bowser: And eventually, Winterbolt and all his evil were forgotten. The good and gentle creatures returned to the north. First, the animals. And then the little ones.....the kringle elves. And I suppose it was Lady Boreal's good grace which led Santa and his young bride to these northlands.
  • Santa: The perfect place for me to build my toy factory and carry out my life's mission far away from all who would stop me.

(scene transcends to Santa's castle/workshop)

  • Bowser: And the passing years were good to Santa and the others. But Lady Boreal's monumental efforts had drained her of most of her magic and all of her strength. She knew her days as a human were numbered.
  • Lady Boreal: Alas, nothing is forever. But in Santa, the northlands have a kind and true leader and I may rest with ease.
  • Bowser: And she became again the magic glow of the aurora borealis. (scene transcends to Winterbolt's castle) But, one day on the far side....
  • Winterbolt: (awakens) Argh. I am awake. I live again! Ha ha ha. Winterbolt lives! (walks to his throne room) I can't wait to see what's been going on while I've been resting. Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha.
  • Santa: Ho ho ho.
  • Winterbolt: Who is this, my magic eye of snow shows? He looks to be a king. But there can be no king of the north save me. (enters a secret room) I must rid my northlands of this ho-ho-hoing creature and his flock of Christmas interlopers. But how? Tell me, o Genie of the Ice Scepter.

(Winterbolt summons the Genie)

  • Genie: His power comes from the love he receives from children all over the world.
  • Winterbolt: Is he as powerful as me?
  • Genie: At the moment, far more powerful.
  • Winterbolt: Then I shall make the world's children love me instead of him. Tell me, how does he please these children?
  • Genie: Each Christmas Eve, he sets forth in his sleigh and leaves every child a toy before dawn.
  • Winterbolt: Ha ha ha. Is that all? Genie, tell me how I might stop him from going forth.
  • Genie: Next Christmas eve.....have the snow dragons create a storm of ice and fog the likes of which the north has never seen. Santa will become hopelessly lost and the toys will never be delivered.
  • Winterbolt: Bravo! Excellent! Then I shall set forth with my own supply of toys in my own sleigh. Ha ha ha. Why, I could be greater than Santa! I'd give the little brats twice as many toys and they would love me more. They'd become lazy and dependent on me and I would rule them all! And when they grew up why, the whole world would be my own personal snowball!
  • Lady Boreal: How little Winterbolt knows of the ways of Santa and children. There's more than just giving toys. There is kindness and the loving warmth of a family on Christmas morn. These things cannot die. I will not let them. Ahh. But I am so old and weak. Ice and fog on Christmas Eve to hinder Santa's sleigh. I must leave him something.....small, I fear, to guide him on his way.

(scene transcends to the cave of Donnor)

  • Bowser: And a little later that day a tiny reindeer was born.
  • Mrs. Donnor: Have no fear, my little one. Soon your father will be home. Ahh. And I must rest for the moment.

(Lady Boreal appears)

  • Rudolph: (laughs)
  • Lady Boreal: Little one.....I have so little magic left to leave thee. Use it wisely and well. On this small hoof, a magic mark I make. The Christmas star cradled by a snowflake. And with this secret mark the magic of the northern lights lives in thee. "How," you ask? Think good thoughts, and you will see.
  • Rudolph: (thinks good things) Oh!
  • Lady Boreal: "Will the magic last forever," you wonder? Nothing is forever as I have often said. But this magic is strong and your nose will glow so long as you use it for good. If you are tempted, even once to use it for an evil purpose it will be extinguished forever. Do you understand?
  • Rudolph: Uh-huh.
  • Lady Boreal: And will you never use it for evil?
  • Rudolph: Nuh-uh.
  • Lady Boreal: [chuckles] And now I leave you, little babe to your mother's love. Use your secret magic well. (vanishes)
  • Mrs. Donnor: Oh! What was that? Was someone here?
  • Rudolph: Uh-huh. Nuh-uh...uh-huh.
  • Mrs. Donnor: [chuckles] Oh. Can't you make up your mind, my little one?
  • Donnor: Hey! Where's my boy?
  • Mrs. Donnor: Here, my darling.
  • Donnor: Flew 300 miles in only 15 leaps when I heard the news and..(sees his son) Ahh, will you just look at him? Ha ha. My little buck. We'll name him.....Rudolph!

(Rudolph's nose starts glowing as the parents gasp, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer plays along with a montage)

  • Winterbolt: (seeing Rudolph) Eye of snow, what's this you show? A red-nosed reindeer? So that's how Santa defeated my snow dragons. Heh heh heh. It will be a different story next Christmas Eve. A red-nosed reindeer is no match for King Winterbolt! (fires his scepter as flashback ends)

Pooh Bear: Where did he go?

Piglet: He c-c-could be anywhere.

Ash Ketchum: Then we'd better split up and search for him. Half of you look this way. Half of you look that way.

-

Misty: Where are you, Scratcher?

Rabbit: There's nowhere to run and there's nowhere to hide. We will find you.

Tigger: And once we catch you, you've got some explaining to do.

-

-

Ash Ketchum: Come out, come out, wherever you are, you little troublemaker.

-

-

Brock: Ah-ha! (runs up to Scratcher as he tries to get away, jumps onto him and catches him with a net; grunts) Gotcha! (grunts) I gotcha! (to his friends) I got him, you guys! I got him!

Scratcher: You'll never take me! I'm never going to jail!

Rabbit: Don't bet on it, you crafty old reindeer!

Misty: You will be going to jail if you don't cooperate with us! Now, listen here, Scratcher, we do not want to hurt you. All we want is some information from you.

Scratcher: Huh?

Ash Ketchum: We want to know what exactly is going on around here. And why Rudolph admitted that he stole the money and gave it to Sam Spangles.

Brock: And from what we've learned from Frosty, we figured that it might have had something to do with the likes of you. So, start talking!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Pooh Bear: Yes, if you please.

Scratcher: Ha! I'll never talk. Never!

Misty: (whispers) Put him down, Brock.

(Brock sets Scratcher down.)

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu?

Pikachu: (smirks) Pika....!!!!

Scratcher: Oh, no.

Pikachu: CHU!!!!!

(Scratcher gets zapped by Pikachu's thunderbolt.)

Scratcher: (dazed) Uhh....

Pooh Bear: Will you tell us now?

Scratcher: No! (gets zapped again)

Tigger: How about now?

Scratcher: No. (gets zapped again)

Eeyore: Now?

Scratcher: No! (gets zapped again)

Rabbit: Now?

Scratcher: No! (gets zapped again)

Misty: Now?

Scratcher: No! (gets zapped again)

(Scratcher continuously gets zapped by Pikachu's thunderbolt.)

Scratcher: (dazed) Uhh....

Piglet: Now will you tell us?

Scratcher: (gets worried about getting zapped again) STOP!!! Okay, okay! I'll talk! I'll talk! The reason why Rudolph admitted his crime of stealing the money and giving it to Mr. Spangles was because I told him to!

(Our heroes gasp in horror.)

Brock: So, that's why Rudolph's nose stopped glowing! Stealing the money was never Rudolph, it was you! It was all you!

Ash Ketchum: Why are you doing this to him, Scratcher?!

Scratcher: I'm not telling!

Ash: Pikachu?

Pikachu: Pika...!!! (sparks electricity)

Scratcher: Okay, okay, okay! Mr. Spangles and I were offered a deal of a lifetime by Winterbolt. He promised that he'd help Spangles take over the circus and get my job back as being one of Santa's reindeer if we'd help him with his plans. It was an offer we couldn't refuse!

Rabbit: So, that's it?! You mean you did all of this just so you can get your old job back?!

Misty: This whole mess was all your fault, Scratcher! What you did was unforgivable! And now because of you, Rudolph's glowing nose is gone, and everyone has turned against him!

Scratcher: Ha! Talk about me all you want, but none of that is gonna change! Spangles is still gonna take over the circus, thanks to your pal, Rudolph. And it's only a matter of time before your snowman friends melt into puddles of water since it's the month of July!

Brock: Wait a minute. One more question, where is Winterbolt now?

Scratcher: I don't know.

Pikachu: Pika....!!! (sparks electricity)

Scratcher: Okay, okay, okay!!! The last time I saw him was that he was being chased by Rudolph in the desert!

Pooh Bear: Why?

Scratcher: I don't know why. But what I do know is that he was holding some kind of hat.

(Our heroes gasp in horror again.)

Rabbit: Why, do you realize what this means, you guys?

Brock: It means that Winterbolt must've set Frosty up by tricking him into giving him his hat so he could steal it.

Misty: And when Rudolph discovered what Winterbolt did, he must've gone after him so could take it back.

Ash Ketchum: Guys, we gotta do something! We gotta go help him!

Tigger: But what are we gonna do about mean old Scratcher here?

(Our heroes stare angrily at Scratcher as he grins nervously. Then they chain him up, put a muzzle on him, and lock him up in a cage.)

Misty: There! That outta keep you boxed up for a while.

Brock: Okay, guys, let's move!

(Our heroes head out to the desert to go help Rudolph take Frosty's hat back from Winterbolt.)
