Simba

Simba is the titular main protagonist of Disney's The Lion King franchise.

He is the King of the Pride Lands and Pooh's new friend from Pooh's Adventures of The Lion King. He first met Simba after he met Timon and Pumbaa when they chased off the buzzards and Pooh and his friends help Simba save the pride lands from his wicked uncle, Scar, and claim his rightful throne. Simba is married to Nala and has a daughter called Kiara and two sons called Kion and Kopa.

• Simba in Swahili means lion, so he is named after his own species.
• Simba's cub counterpart was voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas in The Lion King and Matt Weinberg in The Lion King 1½, while his adult counterpart was voiced by Matthew Broderick in The Lion King films and Cam Clarke in his other appearances and has been currently voiced by Rob Lowe since The Lion Guard.
• Simba started his own adventures, first, by making his first guest appearance as a cub, along with Nala, also as a cub, in Simba's and Nala's Adventures of Tom and Jerry: The Movie, where he and Nala met Tom and Jerry for the first time, and then, as an adult again, along with Timon and Pumbaa, in Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa's Adventures of The Jungle Book, becoming the leader of the Jungle Adventure Crew, which was still small at this point.
• Simba made his next guest appearance in a Winnie the Pooh crossover film in Pooh's Adventures of Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.
• In Janno's series, Simba became Lightning McQueen's new crew chief after Doc Hudson died.
