Roo

Roo is a character in the Winnie The Pooh franchise. He is a stuffed joey belonging to Christopher Robin who first appeared in Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. Roo is one of Pooh's friends, the playful and spirited son of Kanga and friends with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, and Rabbit.

Appearance

Roo is a joey whose height is similar to Piglet's, only shorter. Roo has light brown fur and an upturned tail. He has beady black eyes and thin eyebrows. He also has a small nose and black mouth. His only attire is a sky blue long-sleeved T-shirt that he wears all the time. Finally, Roo sports two strands of black hair on the top of his head. The inside of his ears is light pink and he has pink pads on the bottoms of his feet.

Personality

Roo takes after Tigger in that he is spirited and adventurous. He acts his age, being curious and energetic. He is also optimistic and fearless; when he and Tigger were stuck atop a tall tree, Roo remained calm and upbeat throughout the entire ordeal while Tigger was petrified. Another example is the time Roo was caught in a river. Rather than panicking, he remained happy-go-lucky, despite how worried the adults were. His fearlessness also drives him to be daring and even a little rebellious. Roo was the most excited to catch a Heffalump in Pooh's Heffalump Movie and scoffed at the idea that such a mission would be too dangerous for him to handle. When Rabbit forbade him for tagging along, Roo ventured into Heffalump Hallow anyway.

Roo is rather wise for his age, at times. He was initially afraid of Heffalumps due to the legends he had heard from the adults around him but was open to the prospect of a Heffalump being just as harmless and friendly as the Hundred Acre Woods residents. Roo was, in fact, the first member of the Hundred Acre Woods to befriend a Heffalump, which kickstarted a mutual understanding between Heffalumps and the Hundred Acre Woods gang.

• Roo is the main character in Springtime with Roo, Pooh's Heffalump Movie and Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie.
• Roo made a few full appearances in Winnie the Pooh Meets Anastasia, Pooh's Adventures of Godzilla vs King Ghidorah and Pooh's Adventures of It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown.
• Roo made his first appearance in a Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa's Adventures film in Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa's Adventures of The Tigger Movie.
• Roo will make his first debut with his mother Kanga, his other friends Owl, Gopher, Lumpy, Darby, and Buster in the bonus ending for Winnie the Pooh Meets Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, in which he and the rest will become members of the newly-found The 100 Acre Wood Assistance Inc..
• Roo will make his first appearance in a SpongeBob SquarePants crossover in SpongeBob's Adventures of The Tigger Movie.
• Roo will meet Littlefoot and his friends in a flashback sequence of Littlefoot's Adventures of Piglet's Big Movie.
• Roo will make his first apperance in a Winx Club crossover film and meet Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna, and Layla in Bloom's Adventures of Pooh's Heffalump Movie.
• He will meet Bumblebee in The Cyberverse Adventure Crew and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
• Roo will meet Ryan and his team in Ryan F-Freeman Meets Winnie the Pooh (2011) and other Pooh movies like Piglet's Big Movie.
• In Ryan F-Freeman's Adventures Series, Roo is one of Ryan's allies and he never abandons Pooh and Rabbit.
• In Pooh's Adventures of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, like Pooh and friends, he takes an interest into the Duel Monsters card game that Yugi and his friends play. Although it would not be until Episode 4 (The Insector Combination Sub or Into the Hornet's Nest Dub) where after sneaking aboard the boat to join Pooh, Yugi and Joey to the Duelist Kingdom Tournament where he would find spare Dueling Gloves and one Star Chip each for himself, Tigger, Rabbit and Piglet. He initially offered two of them to Tristan and Tea, but they ultimately declined, wanting to wish Yugi, Joey and Pooh their support instead and wanting to give him and the others a chance to experience a high level tournament for themselves. It is later revealed that he and Kanga managed to commit to some trades on the boat for some more cards and by the start of the tournament assembles a deck of his own with his key card, Crab Turtle. Despite overcoming opponents over the 48 hour time limit including several Player Killers hired by Pegasus from Bowser, a fake Christopher Robin dispatched to shake his heart and Mako Tsunami to stay in the running, he, Piglet, Rabbit and Tigger are ultimate defeated by Kaiba by the time Yugi, Pooh, Joey, Tristan, Tea and Bakura emerge from the Labyrinth. He, Rabbit and Tigger still makes it into the castle thanks to additional Star Chips won by Mai as thanks for the gang for defeating Panik the night before (Piglet though grateful refuses the offer, not wanting to risk Pooh's elimination from an odd number of participants in the castle, instead choosing to return to Japan and keep an eye on Christopher Robin and Solomon Muto's soulless bodies). When Bandit Keith loses to Joey, even earning disqualification for cheating and stealing his Glory of the King's Hand pariticipation card he nigh before, he attempts to attack Pegasus and demands the prize money as ransom, only for the latter to eject him from the island for his dishonourable, let alone rude behaviour. During this fit of rage and his earlier struggle with Pegasus' men, Keith leaves every last one of his cards behind at the duel ring. Pegasus offers the group of heroes a chance to keep the cards so they can treat them with far more respect and dignity Keith ever gave them. Yugi, Joey and Pooh refuse to take the cards, wanting to advance to Pegasus with their own strength now they've come that far in the tournament, but they still allow their friends to take Keith's abandoned cards with Roo himself deciding to risk everything in his Quarter Final bracket by adding Barrel Dragon to his deck, wanting to make use out of its 50/50 triple attack ability for himself. He defeats Tigger after his prior attempts with Barrel Dragon kept misfiring literally, but loses to Pooh in the playoff of their bracket. Roo despite being upset at first quickly cheers up when he encourages Pooh and Yugi to do their best in the final playoffs and that no matter who wins the chance to face Pegasus, he would be rooting for them.
