- Unlike in the real special feature, Simba, Nala, and Zazu make their special appearances in this short film, due to Timon and Pumbaa being the only Lion King characters making offscreen appearances (save for the photo montage at the end) in the real special feature, despite Rafiki making an onscreen cameo via archive animation. In fact, Timon and Pumbaa might make onscreen appearances for character interactions.
- Jonathan Oosterhof (aka LionKingRulezAgain1) was originally going to make this short film (since he originally made Pooh's Adventures of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and the first few episodes of Pooh's Adventures of Timon & Pumbaa), but he retired from making anymore Pooh's Adventures films, so Daniel Esposito will make this short film instead, especially since he will take over most of the Winnie the Pooh/Lion King projects.
