== Learning about the Legend/Freeing Moltres and Zapdos/Lighting Island ==
(Meanwhile, Articuno is seen going on an Ice Beam frenzy, freezing everything in sight, including the ocean)

(At New York City, a rainstorm brews above, but in a sewer lair, Mewtwo and 4 Human-like Turtles looks at a news report that gives an update on the wild weather)

* TV Reporter: Here's a map of the area around Shamouti Island, the epicenter of the world wide weather disasters. Though their premise is not yet clear, tens of thousands of Pokémon are making their way toward the island. Water Pokémon are coming by sea, flying Pokémon are coming by air, and those unable to make the crossing are massing on the land nearest the island.

(A helicopter soon flies over the site where the land Pokémon are gathered, and it turns out the TV reporter is aboard, along with other passengers)

* TV Reporter: With me now are Professor Samuel Oak and Professor Philena Ivy to help shed some light on this phenomenon.
* Prof. Oak: Near Shamouti lie the islands of fire, ice, and lightning, home to the legendary birds Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos. I fear they are somehow involved. Ancient writings from many different cultures name this area, specifically the islands of fire and ice, as the cradle of the ocean. The source, if you will, of all the waters of the world. This has been disputed by scientists for centuries. But it does makes some poetic sense, when you consider what forms when you combine fire and ice.

(As Prof. Oak talks, we go back to the underwater river)

* TV Reporter: And, what about Lightning Island, Professor?
* Prof. Oak: Well, imagine if an imbalance of power occurred between lightning, ice, and fire. Here's, potentially, how the underwater current has formed. If the balance between the powers of Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres were some how disrupted, it's conceivable that a powerful underwater current, this churning beast of the sea, could, in fact, emerge from this region and ultimately flood the entire planet.
* Prof. Ivy: The Pokémon seem to be gathering because they feel a sense of impending doom. Pokémon are acutely in tune with the balance of nature. The urge to correct this imbalance is causing them to gather, possibly, to try and save the planet. Though they may be unable to do anything about it.
* TV Reporter: (notices Delia) And who are you?
* Delia: My son and his friends are traveling in the Orange Islands. And if things get as bad as Professor Oak says, I may never see my boy again. And Ash is the whole world to me.
(back at New York, Mewtwo hearing Delia's words, gets worried)

* Mewtwo: Pooh Bear. Hang in there, my friend. (closes his eyes)

(Meanwhile, at the shrine, Slowking is watching the snow storm that has occurred because of Articuno)

* Slowking: I could use pants.

(The village of Shamouti Island is revealed to be snowed in and frozen as Tobias and Carol watch from indoors)

* Carol: Melody.

(Meanwhile, the sun is beginning to rise as Articuno continues to freeze everything. Up above, Lawrence's airship looms and our heroes look down at the frozen ocean)

* Jessie: Well, this sure beats an inflight movie.
* Tigger: If only we had some popcorn.
* Winnie the Pooh: And honey.
* Rabbit: (facepalms) D'oh.
* Melody: “Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice, or lightning, lest these titans shall wreak destruction upon the world in which they clash.” What if the ancient legend is coming true?
* James: If it is true, all intelligent life will be destroyed.
* Jessie: That's right.
* Piglet: And we'll be...
* Meowth: You, will be fine.
*Eeyore: Well, Now that we know the problem, what will we do now?
* Ash: We gotta do something.
* Misty: We have to set Moltres and Zapdos free!
* Tracey: Yeah, but how?

(Ash tries running up to the capture devices that hold Moltres, but gets knocked down by their power)

* Pikachu: Pika Pi! ("Ash!")
* Rabbit: Brute force won't work. Let's try using some of your Pokémon!

(The airship soon looms near one of the islands as Articuno flies in)

* Lawrence III: Time to turn up the heat.

(The cannons activate and fire at Articuno, but it evades the shots. Under the sea, Lugia senses the battle and creates a giant underwater cyclone. Meanwhile, inside the airship, Pikachu tries freeing Moltres, but to no avail)

* Ash: I choose you, Charizard!

(Charizard materializes)

* Tigger: Charizard, use Flamethrower on Moltres's cage.

(Charizard fires a Flamethrower at the devices holding Moltres, but that doesn't help either, even when combined with Pikachu's electricity)

* Misty: Fire and electricity aren't enough!
* Tracey: We can't just give up, we've gotta keep trying!

(Team Rocket turns to Zapdos)

* Jessie: Well, if things are going to start to get ugly, we might as well try Weezing.
* James: Right, go!

(Weezing materializes and tries ramming into the capture devices, but it gets knocked into a forcefield surrounding a piece of Lawrence's collection and to the floor)

* Meowth: Come on, ya big palooka! Get up an' fight!
* Jessie: (grunts) Let's try Arbok!

(Arbok materializes)

* Jessie: Now, Arbok, use Poison Sting!

(Arbok opens fire, but the capture devices still stand)

* Ash: Squirtle, Bulbasaur, I choose you!

(Squirtle and Bulbasaur materialize)

* Rabbit: Squirtle use Water Gun and Bulbasaur use Vine Whip.

(Squirtle launches a Water Gun while Bulbasaur uses Vine Whip.)

(At that moment, an explosion occurs, freeing Moltres) 

* Pooh and Pals: (gasp)

(Moltres fires it's Flamethrower)

* Tigger: DUCK!

(Moltres frees Zapdos. Soon, the two legendary Pokémon escape to do battle. And up on the bridge of the airship, Lawrence watches as Zapdos and Moltres bring the airship down)

* Computer: Mayday! (x2) Prepare for crash landing on Lightning Island.

(Right on cue, the airship crashes and our heroes rush to get out)

* Rabbit: There's our way out, forward march!

(Everyone escapes the airship, but Ash, his friends, and Team Rocket tumble all the way down to the ground)

* Piglet: (slips) Whoa!
* Pooh: (slips) Oh, bother.

(Tigger, Rabbit, and Eeyore (already down) runs as the others tumble down, they quickly get back up off-screen and continue running as one of the propellers on the airship destroys a nearby shrine. As a result, the yellow sphere rolls right up to Ash)

* Pikachu: Pika Pika! ("The yellow sphere!")

(Ash looks at the lightning bolt within when Zapdos shows up)

* Misty: Look out!
* Tigger: Make a break for it!

(Everyone runs to escape Zapdos' bolts. Meanwhile, under the frozen ocean, Lugia continues to race to the surface. Up above, Moltres and Articuno are locked in combat until Zapdos swoops in)

* Jessie: I'd hate to get burned by their fire!
* James: I'd hate to get zapped by their lightning!
* Meowth: I'd hate to get hit by, their droppings!
* Eeyore: Or get frozen by their ice! 
* Rabbit: Everyone aboard the boat!

(Everyone gets on board the speedboat as Zapdos opens a water channel for them to escape. However, they go down a massive waterfall that was made with the channel, but at the last moment, Lugia's water cyclone saves their lives and our heroes hear Lugia's song as it takes them to shore.)

* Melody: What's that sound?

(Pooh and Pals looks at Rabbit for answers)

* Rabbit: Eh, don't look at me.

(Meanwhile, Team Rocket uncovers a life raft)

* Jessie: Quick! We may need this!

(Team Rocket brings out the life raft as the water cyclone takes everyone to the Shamouti Shrine and drops them off the hard way. Everyone manages to disembark before the boat goes over the edge of the cliff.)

* Tigger: Phew! That sure was a close call. One slip and it's game over.
