== Shamouti Island/Ash Ketchum: The Chosen One/The Mission ==
(Meanwhile, our heroes have come ashore on Shamouti)

* Ash: We sure are lucky.
* Tigger: Phew. That sure was a close call. That storm almost caught us.
* Misty: If we hadn't found this place, we'd be in real trouble.

(Suddenly, Tracey notices something disturbing)

* Tracey: I think we still might be.

(Our heroes look and notice a whole bunch of islanders wearing masks and holding different things approach them)

* Tigger: Um-duh. Show'em what you're made of, buddy bear.
* Winnie the Pooh: Fluff?
* Tigger; I think we're in big trouble.

(Soon, one of the islanders speaks)

* ???: Maren! How are you?
(Our heroes are caught off guard as the islander removes her mask)
* '''Tigger:''' (stutters) What?
* '''Piglet:''' What?
* '''Winnie the Pooh:''' What?
* '''Rabbit:''' What?
* '''Eeyore:''' Huh?
* ???: It's been a while.
* Maren: Carol, I can't believe it! It's great to see you.
* Carol: What are you doing back on Shamouti Island?
* Maren: We got caught up in that storm and floated in, and it looks like we got here at the perfect time.
* Carol: You're right. The annual Legend Festival starts today.
* Maren: This is my favorite Island holiday. Are you going to be the star of the show again?
* Carol: No, I'm too old to be the Festival Maiden anymore. So this year, my little sister will take over for me. Wonder where she could...
* ???: I'm right here!

(Everyone looks as Carol's sister shows up)

* ???: The only one not wearing some stupid costume. You'd think after a few centuries, you'd have outgrown this dorky ritual.
* Carol: It's our tradition! You should be honored to take part!
* ???: Don't worry, I'll play my role in the big legend. I've only seen you do it, like, a zillion times.
* Carol: Just be there! Well, unfortunately, that's my little sister. Her name is Melody, but don't get fooled. She's not always this adorable. Who's this?
* Maren: Oh, sorry. This is Ash Ketchum, he's a Pokémon trainer.

(Carol and the crowd are shocked when they hear that Ash is a Pokémon trainer, and even Melody turns her attention to Ash after she hears that he's a trainer)

* Carol and the crowd: Pokémon trainer?!?

(The crowd begins to celebrate as someone else comes up to Ash)

* Tobias: The ancient legend foretells your arrival. And only with you can the guardian of the waters vanquish the great titans of fire, ice, and lightning! (lifts his mask) In your hands, oh, chosen one. In your hands rests the world and its fate.
* Ash: It does?
* Tobias: Don't let it worry you, kid. It's just for the tourists. (mask closes on him) Blasted beak.
* Melody: So, you're a Pokémon trainer, huh? Hmm. I guess he'll do. Here's your traditional welcome kiss.

(Melody kisses Ash, to the mixed reactions of the other heroes)

* Tigger: (to Rabbit) Ashy Boy got kissed by an islander. (laughs)

(Melody sees Pooh and Pals)

* Melody: Are you guys Pokémon?
* Winnie the Pooh: I don't think so.
* Melody: Oh, I don't think so. Who are you guys anyway?
* Winnie the Pooh: Well, this is Piglet, and Tigger, and Rabbit, and Eeyore.
* Eeyore: Thanks for noticing.
* Winnie the Pooh: And I'm Winnie the Pooh. But you can call me...
* Carol and the crowd: Winnie the Pooh?!

(The crowd begins to celebrate as Tobias comes up to Pooh and Pals)

* Tobias: The ancient legend foretells your arrival. And only with you can the Guardian of Eltar vanquish the Great Evil that plagues the Multiverse! (lifts his mask) In your hands, oh, chosen ones. In your hands rests the world and its fate.
* Piglet: You th-th-th-think so?
* Tobias: Don't let it worry you, little one. It's just for the tourists. (mask closes on him) Blasted beak.
* Tigger: So, that's what Big Z was telling us about. (laughs, breaks the fourth wall) Looks like we got our work cut out for us.

(Melody spots Misty)

* Melody: Are you his little sister?
* Misty: I am not!
* Melody: Well, then I guess you must be, his girlfriend.
* Misty: Bleh! Gross!
* Melody: Oh, I don't think so. I'll be glad to play for him tonight at the Legend Banquet. Starts around eight. Oh, and Misty, try not to get jealous.

(Ash just chuckles as Misty shows a bit of jealousy)

* Rabbit: Well, I'd like to know more about this legend and what Ash's role is in it.
* Tigger: Well, what are we waiting for? Stop your talking, and start your walking! (laughs)
* Tobias: We have found our chosen one!

(The islanders lead Ash and the gang to where the Legend Festival and Banquet are to be held, while Pikachu continues to look worried)

(That night, the festival is underway. And it's got plenty for our heroes to enjoy, including a Gyarados puppet that acts and dances like a Chinese Dragon in a Chinese New Year celebration. There are also ceremonial dances, and plenty of food. Speaking of which, at the banquet hall, our heroes are enjoying the feast)

* Maren: And she says "No, but I have Krabbies!" (laughs along with Carol and Tobias)

(Pooh and Pals are sitting near Ash, Misty, and Tracey eating a feast of fresh Combee honey and bread)

* Piglet: Uh, you know Pooh, I was thinking...
* Winnie the Pooh: That's a very good habit, Piglet.
* Piglet: (giggles) No. I was thinking about what Tobias and Melody said about us and Ash. Umm, what's gonna be our role in this legend?
* Rabbit: Patience, Piglet. We'll know soon enough.
* Eeyore: It figures.

(Tigger notices Misty still fuming a bit)

* Tigger: What's up?
* Misty: It's ridiculous. Me, Ash's girlfriend. (takes a bit from what she's eating) It's totally ridiculous.
* Rabbit: You'll get over it. Sooner or later. Besides, I'm sure Melody was just kidding. (glares at Tigger)
* Tigger; (laughs nervously)
* Ash: I can't wait to see what my part in the legend ceremony's gonna be.

(Soon, Melody is heard and seen playing a flute from a shell on stage)

* Tracey: Ash, that's her! The girl we met on the beach!
* Misty: Melody.
* Ash: Melody?

(Melody continues playing the song while everyone watches in amazement)

* Misty: She's a big showoff.

(After the performance and as the feasters applaud, Melody rushes to Ash)

*'''Rabbit:''' I can't believe how wonderful that song was!
*'''Winnie the Pooh:''' I can't either.
*'''Eeyore:''' Moved me to tears.
*Melody: Hear ye all! “From the trio of islands, ancient spheres shall you take. For between life and death, all the difference you'll make. Oh, chosen one, you must climb to the shrine to right what is wrong, and the world will be healed by the guardian's song.”
* Ash: What do I do?
* Melody: I just told you, Ash.
* Ash: Yeah, I heard all that stuff, but, what do I have to do?
* Melody: Oh, it won't be very hard, Ash. Not for you. And besides, almost all the chosen ones come back alive.
* Piglet: A-a-a-a-almost?
* Carol: Melody!
* Winnie the Pooh: (sees Piglet shivering in fear) It's alright, Piglet.

(Melody winks and chuckles)

* Melody: All you have to do is get these glass balls from three islands. One from Fire Island. (hands Ash an orange) One from Ice Island. (hands Ash a lemon) And one from Lightning Island. (hands Ash a pear) And you bring them to the shrine back here. (gets out her flute) And then, (gets up) I celebrate by playing this song. (plays the song of Lugia again) And then it's over, oh, chosen one.
* Ash: Do I get to wear a cool costume?
* Melody: Sorry, but it's just come as you are. (takes the pear, takes a bite out of it and winks) Besides, you look perfect to me. The handsomest chosen one in years.
* Ash: Okay! Get me a boat and I'm ready!
* Melody: Oh, there's no hurry. You have all day tomorrow. Tonight's just for the party. Stay, have some fun.
* Tigger: She's right, Ashy Boy. Even Tiggers need their beauty sleep too, you know. (laughs)
* Ash: Well, some things are more important than fun. I'm Ash, the chosen one. This is serious. I gotta be responsible.
* Misty: That's a switch. (eats a grape)
* Maren: (approaches Ash) You know what? I like your attitude. We can take my boat, Ash.
* Ash: Then, let's go! You coming, Misty?
* Misty: No thanks. If you want somebody to do whatever you want, whenever you want, you should find yourself a girlfriend.
* Ash: What about you, Pooh?
* Winnie the Pooh: Well, as long as we don't run into any trouble, then I guess it's okay.
* Piglet: I'll go, too.
* Eeyore: Me, too.
* Tigger: Me, too. How about you, Long Ears?
* Rabbit: I, uh...
* Ash: Well, Rabbit?
* Rabbit: Uh, well, uh, that is, uh....um...what I mean....
* Winnie the Pooh: Well?
* Rabbit: Well, I, uh... (groans) Oh, alright. I guess I'll go with you guys, too.

(Pikachu suddenly takes Ash's hat and runs off with it)

* Ash: Pikachu! Pikachu!
* Pikachu: (muffled by the hat in his mouth) Pika! ("Come on!")
* Ash: Hey, gimme back my hat! (rushes off after Pikachu)
* '''Rabbit''': Hurry, hurry! There's not a moment to lose.

(Pooh, his friends and Maren follows after him)
