== Mewtwo's Prologue/Lawrence III learns the Legend/Captures Moltres ==
(scene New York City, we see Mewtwo on top of a bridge, he senses us)

* Mewtwo: (addresses us) I knew you'd return. I suppose you're wondering what happened after I told my friends the truth. (uses his psychic powers to show us Ash's final battle) You see, after our departure to the 100 Acre Wood, Ash Ketchum returned to his Ultimate Mission: completing the Pokémon World Coronation series and defeating his most powerful opponent: Leon, the Galar Region Champion. While Misty and Brock returned to their Gyms to fulfill their respected duties while watching their friend in action. I know what you're thinking, "Ash was defeated by Leon." But, you thought wrong. With great strength and power, Ash and his Pokémon defeated Leon and became the even more famous Pokémon World Champion. 
* Referee: Charizard is unable to battle! Which means the victory goes to Ash!
(Ash and his Pokémon celebrate as flashback ends)
* Mewtwo: After that, Ash and Pikachu continued their mission to travel around the world like my friends do. (looks up in the sky) Little do they realize that their next adventure with my friends will be far more greater than they realize. He would have to fulfill a special duty at the Orange Islands.

(scene fades to Shamouti Island while a flute is heard playing a melody)

* Man: Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice, or lightning, lest these titans wreak destruction upon the world in which they clash. Though the water's great guardian shall arise to quell the fighting, alone its song will fail, lest the earth shall turn to ash. Oh, chosen one, into thine hands bring together all three, their treasures combined tame the beast of the sea.

(As the speaker says these words, we get a view of what the speaker looks like, revealing he's reading from an ancient stone tablet)

* Lawrence III: Now it, begins.

(Soon, something draws the man's attention)

* Computer: Analysis indicates that the titan of fire referred to in the ancient inscription is the legendary Pokémon, Moltres. Believed to have originated in a remote region of the Orange Islands. The titan of lightning is the Pokémon, Zapdos. And Articuno is the titan of ice. Historical documents confirm that the three legendary Pokémon are unique species found only in the vicinity of Shamouti Island.

(As the computer gives the man the rundown on what it discovered, he sits down in a chair)

* Lawrence III: Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno. Any one of them would be a priceless edition to my collection.

(As Lawrence III talks, a virtual map of the Orange Islands comes up)

* Lawrence III: But together, they are the three keys that unlock, the ultimate treasure.
* Computer: Pokémon matching subject parameters Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, detected.
* Lawrence III: Then let's get started.

(The chair Lawrence III is sitting in rises towards a hole in the ceiling)

* Lawrence III: Which one is nearest?
* Computer: The fire Pokémon, Moltres.
* Lawrence III: Good.

(The chair stops in some kind of command area, and it's revealed that the man is piloting an airship and is right over Shamouti Island and the three islands where the three legendary birds dwell. Soon, some cannons fire on one of the islands, freezing parts of it solid. Soon, after one blast freezes a cave entrance, the glow of a fire is seen inside the cave, the fire within begins to melt the ice. And eventually, a powerful stream of fire breaks through the ice freeing the source of the fire within, Moltres itself. Moltres proceeds to fly towards the airship)

* Lawrence III: Now the chase, (snaps his fingers) is on.

(The cannons fire at Moltres, with a couple shots landing right on target. With Moltres stunned, some strange devices come down from the bottom of the airship. Moltres manages to destroy one of them and avoid some of them, but it's all in vain as Moltres is inevitably captured and brought into the airship from where the capture devices came from)

* Lawrence III: Well, I've taken the first piece without too much difficulty. It's like a simple game of chess. Next, I'll capture Zapdos, and Articuno soon after. And that will flush out the king. And then, that's when the game's going to get interesting. Bring together all three, their treasures combined tame the beast of the sea. Lugia.

(We soon hear and then see Lugia swimming/flying through the ocean as the title of the movie rolls)
