Narrator: The city of Towns-- (stops himself, softly) The City of Townsville, the city that sleeps. a tired town with an early, early bedtime.
(Pan slowly along a street; the lights of restaurants and clubs are being turned off for the night.)
Narrator: No need for late nights here. Gotta get that beauty sleep.
(On another block, a car appears to close its eyes, dousing its headlights, and a policeman sleeps standing up at the corner.)
Narrator: (yawning) So peaceful, the empty streets.
Cop 1: (mumbling in sleep) Hands in the air.
(Dissolve to a street on the outskirts of town and pan slowly toward the girls’ house.)
Narrator: Even in the suburbs, Townsville citizens are tucked away in their beds.
(Dissolve to the Professor’s bedroom; the city proper is visible from his window. He sleeps sitting up in bed, pipe in hand and notes scattered in front of him. A microscope sits on a stand near the bed. He is still wearing his lab coat.)
Narrator: (chuckling) Still haven’t found that unified theory, eh, Professor?
(Now we see Blossom asleep in bed. Pan right to show her younger sisters, also sleeping. The three share a triple-width bed.)
Narrator: Ah, here’s our girls, far away in a dreamy slumber.
(Bubbles is cradling her stuffed octopus. Buttercup throws punches at the air on the side of the bed. Camera stops on her.)
Narrator: (chuckling) Ha, ha! Go get ’em, Buttercup. Yes, everyone’s resting up for a bright new day.
(Cut to a museum.)
Narrator: But wait. What’s this? (Cut to the upper stories and turn down to a ground-floor window that has been cut through.) Someone in Townsville is not asleep.
Buttercup: It's been awesome since we're now superheroes. Give me five, Ash.
(Ash and Buttercup high-five each other. Pikachu hugs Bubbles which caused her to giggle.)
Bubbles: I missed you too, Pikachu,
Pikachu: Pikachu.
Blossom: You guys are just in time to back us up.
Rabbit: What's been going on around here, girls?
Blossom: We've been trying to find out who the culprit was. There was a robbery at the museum last night.
Pooh Bear: Oh, my, how dreadful.
(Just then the girls and the heroes hear a dog bark.)
Piglet: What was that?
Blossom: Look!
(The girls and the heroes go to the car and see a dog trapped inside.)
Pooh Bear: Oh, dear. The dog's trapped in there.
Bubbles: Poor puppy.
Buttercup: He must be one hot dog.
(Blossom and the heroes felt annoyed with Buttercup's bad joke.)
Tigger: Don't worry, doggy. We'll get you out. (tries to open the door but it's locked) Oh, shucks, it's stuck.
Blossom: I'll do it, Tigger. (breaks the car door setting the dog free)
Dog: Help me!
Heroes: (gasp in shock)
Pikachu: Pika?!
Girls: What?! A talking dog?!
(The girls and the heroes fly to the mayor's office.)
Blossom: Yeah, what is it, Mayor?
Mayor: Oh, PowerPuff Girls, I'm so glad you made it so quickly. (to heroes) Pooh Bear, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Ash, Pikachu, Brock and Misty, so delightful to see you, my friends.
Pooh Bear: What's the problem, Mayor?
Mayor: Well, Pooh Bear, I'm glad you asked that. The safety of Townsville is great peril. A sick plot is underway that mad man is responsible for this--(sees Ms. Bellum) Huh?
Girls and Heroes: Ms. Bellum! (Ms. Bellum now has a dog head which caused the girls and the heroes to gasp in shock)
Mayor: No time to lose, my friends, the culprit in this caper is Mo-- (but suddenly Mayor's head transforms into a dog which shocks the girls and the heroes)
Pikachu: Pika!
Rabbit: My word!
Pooh Bear: Oh, bother.
Piglet: Oh, dear, the mayor is a dog!
Bubbles: (happily) Puppy!
Blossom: Okay, enough's enough! We gotta to see the professor! Bubbles! (Bubbles pets Mayor) Come on, we got work to do.
Misty: Come on, Bubbles. Time to go. (Bubbles groans in disappointment) You can play with the dog some other time.
Bubbles: Okay, Misty.
(The girls and the heroes arrive home.)
Blossom: Professor!
(Professor in his dog form comes over to the girls and the heroes. He wags his tail.)
Professor: Bow-wow-wow-wow.
Bubbles: Puppy! Whee!
Professor: Bow-bow-bow-wow.
Pooh Bear: What's he saying.
Tigger: I don't know, I don't speak dog.
Blossom: Wait, guys, I think he's trying to tell us something.
Girls and Heroes: Come on, boy. What is it, boy. Come on, come on.
Professor: (chews on the pipe stem) Bow-bow-wow.
Rabbit: He said he's thirsty.
Bubbles: Uh, what's that, boy? You want some water?
Misty: I'll get it, girls.
(Misty gets a dog dish filled with water.)
Misty: Here you go, Professor. (he drinks some water)
Blossom: All right, boy, who's responsible for all this? Come on, who is it?
Professor: Bow-wow.
Buttercup: What?
Brock: I think he wants to play fetch.
Buttercup: Oh, okay. Fetch!
(Throws the pipe and Professor gets it. Back to the dogs heading to Mojo's lair and pour the stolen jewels.)
Mojo Jojo: Oh, yes, perfect. Now, I have enough jewels for my plan. My plan needs lots of jewels to make it work and now I have enough of them. The jewels that is.
(Back to Professor bringing his pipe.)
Heroes and Girls: (praising)
Girls; Now, who did, boy?
Bubbles: Oh, no! It was Bow-wow Wow-wow!
Blossom: No, Bubbles. I think he said "Mojo Jojo."
Professor: Bow.
(The heroes gasp in shock upon realizing that Mojo Jojo was the culprit who turned the citizens into dogs.)
Pooh Bear: My goodness!
Ash Ketchum: What?! That two-faced traitorous ape who betrayed you girls and who almost got me killed?!
Pikachu: Pika!
Buttercup: Yep, that's him, Ash. So, let's get him!
Blossom: Not so fast!
Buttercup: Mojo...
Bubbles: Jojo!
Mojo Jojo: Too late, Powerpuffs! Or should I say Powerpups?
Ash Ketchum: Stop right there, Mojo!
Pikachu: (angry sparks) Pika!
Mojo Jojo: Why, hello there, everyone. Long time no see.
Pooh Bear: Well, Mojo. I see you haven't changed a bit.
Mojo Jojo: Neither have you or your friends.
Misty: What did you do to the girls?!
Mojo Jojo: See for yourselves.
(The heroes gasp upon seeing the girls turned into dogs.)
Rabbit: Why did you turn the citizens and the girls into dogs?
Mojo Jojo: Well, Rabbit. I'm glad you asked. The human race will bow down to me. The whole world will be mine!
Ash Ketchum: You're still the same two-faced traitorous ape!
Pikachu: (angrily) Pika Pika!
Mojo Jojo: Oh, so you recalled the time I've betrayed the Powerpuff girls and almost killing you?
Ash Ketchum: That's right!
Mojo Jojo: (annoyed) Ah, put a cork in it, Ash. Since I'm out of jail for the first time, I'm now listening to one of your stupid lectures. You and your friends are not changing me at all!
Misty: Who said you can get out of jail?!
Mojo Jojo: None of your business, missy!
Misty: The name's Misty!
Mojo Jojo: Whatever.
Pooh Bear: Oh bother.
Piglet: What are you going to do, now?
Mojo Jojo: I'm going to turn the whole world into dogs!
Piglet: No, you wouldn't!
Mojo Jojo: Aww, wouldn't I? Besides if you come any closer I'll turn you all into dogs just like the Powerpuffs or I can have you all ripped to shreds by those hypnotized dogs.
(Ash runs up to the Powerpups.)
Ash Ketchum: Girls! (the Powerpups run up to Ash and lick him) Are you okay? (Blossom barks in agreement)
Pikachu: Pikachu.
Ash Ketchum: Pikachu use thunderbolt!
(Pikachu shocks Mojo which caused him to scream in pain.)
Mojo Jojo: (growls) You annoying little brat!
Ash Ketchum: Sic him, girls!
(The Powerpups growl at Mojo.)
Mojo Jojo: Stay away, you mangy mutts! Don’t force me to show you my influence. (He leaps up onto a nearby platform and laughs. Steps behind him lead up to it.) Ha, ha! Can’t get me now. Ha, ha! Bleah!
(He blows them a raspberry as they run to the edge and paw at it in an attempt to reach him. However, the height difference is just great enough to stop them. Close-up behind them.)
Mojo: Try as you might, I am higher than you,
(Buttercup looks right o.s. and begins to run around the machine.)
Mojo: (from o.s.) and being higher than you puts me out of your reach. Ha, ha, ha! (He laughs.)
(Buttercup approaches from behind him.)
Mojo: (from o.c.) If you were up here, you might get me.
(She jumps up the stairs and bites him in the hindquarters. He yells in pain and throws the statue into the air. It lands on his head and shatters in slow motion. From outer space, we see the world again engulfed in a beam, and the French lovers are changed back to human form, followed by the Eskimo and the Japanese man. This last is left naked, still on his table and hunched over his plate. The cop on the street corner is next—he is still sleeping despite everything that has happened—and the beam disappears into Mojo. Now he is a black dog with a green face—still wearing his helmet and purple cape. He has a blue nose and white boots on all four feet. The destruction of the Anubis head has reversed the spell on everyone, while giving Mojo a dose of his own medicine with turning him into a dog for the time being.)
(As he begins to bark, the camera pulls back and the scene dissolves around him to the girls’ yard. He is chained to a stake in the ground; the family, back to normal, watches him. The girls are pleading to be allowed to keep Mojo as a pet. Bubbles is jumping up and down with excitement, and she keeps doing so even after the Professor begins to speak.)
Professor: Girls, it's a big responsibility keeping an evil villain in the house. You've got to feed him, water him, take him for walks, keep him from causing mayhem and chaos, and chewing the furniture.
(The standard end shot comes up, and the Narrator begins to bark. He stops after a few seconds.)
Narrator: (laughing) Ha, ha! Fooled you. So once again the day is saved, thanks to the Powerpuff Girls.
