Harry Potter, Dylan, Danny, and their friends have reunited with Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and the rest of the Mystery Gang as they travel to Spooky Island where an army of monsters have taken over the island. Now Harry, Ron, and Hermione are to help Scooby Doo and Shaggy and the Mystery Gang save the world from Scrappy Doo, who has plans to take over the world.

- Dylan (Shadow101815), Dobby, Danny, Sawyer, Lord Voldemort, Draco Malfoy, The Dursley Family (Vernon, Petunia, Dudley), and Arthur and Cecil will guest star in this film.
- This film is a present-day adventure, and it will take place right after Winnie the Pooh Meets Cinderella (2015).
- This film will take place right after Pooh's Adventures of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Pooh's Adventures of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Pooh's Adventures of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Pooh's Adventures of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and Pooh's Adventures of Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, which explains that Harry Potter and his friends have met Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang.
- The storyline continues in Harry, Ron and Hermione's Adventures of Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
- The Harry Potter series, Cats Don't Dance, and Scooby-Doo were all made by Warner Bros.
- This will be the first Harry Potter crossover with a live-action film. However, the Warner Bros. Animation logo will still be used in this film, due to characters from Cats Don't Dance guest starring in this film.
- Unlike Daniel Esposito's upcoming film Pooh, Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa's Adventures of Scooby-Doo, this film will remain uncensored not only to match with the Harry Potter footage but also to remain PG-rated. In fact, this might be the first Harry Potter crossover film to retain mild profanity.
