The Phantom Blot, Dr. Blowhole, and Dr. Eggman combine their scientific genius talents to build a virtual reality machine from Questworld that transforms human beings into data cards. But, Trakeena who has escaped for the Banishment Zone with a supercomputer, Z, captures the villains and plans to use the transformed human beings and the Rangers to drain their lifeforce and mutate to destroy the Morphing Grid and Zordon. But, The ghosts of the Psycho Rangers use it in reverse, restoring them to our physical plane and must stop Trakeena's plan so they can get their revenge.
