Opening/ "Fathoms Below"[edit | edit source]

  • [The ocean, so fascinating, so wonderful, and so mysterious. Birds are flying and porpoises are swimming happily. From the fog a ship appears crashing through the waves. On board, sailors are singing their hearts out while doing their work on their ship.]
  • [Sailors]
  • I'll tell you a tale of the bottomless blue
  • And it's hey to the starboard, heave ho
  • Look out, lad, a mermaid be waitin' for you
  • In mysterious fathoms below
  • (Amongst the sailors is a daring, handsome, young man named Prince Eric.)
  • Prince Eric: Isn't this great? The salty sea air, the wind blowing in your face (Max, his happy-go-lucky old English sheepdog, barks joyfully). . . a perfect day to be at sea!
  • Grimsby: [Leaning over the side and looking seasick.] Oh yes… delightful…
  • Sailor 1: A fine strong wind and a following sea. King Triton must be in a friendly-type mood.
  • Prince Eric: King Triton?
  • Sailor 2: Why, ruler of the merpeople, lad. Thought every good sailor knew about him.
  • Grimsby: Merpeople! Eric, pay no attention to this nautical nonsense.
  • Sailor 2: But it ain't nonsense, it's the truth! I'm tellin' you, down in the depths o' the ocean they live. [He gestures wildly, the fish in his hand flops away and lands back in the ocean, relieved.]
  • [Sailors]
  • Heave. ho.
  • Heave, ho.
  • In mysterious fathoms below.
  • [The fish sighs and swims away. The scenes changes to the fish swimming though some kelp then past some sea anemones, then it changes to a school of fish swimming as the film titles "Bloom's Adventures of The Little Mermaid appear. We then see the fish swimming past three Jellyfihs, then by a group of humpback whales. As it swam by some rock we see merpeople emerging out and then swimming towards the legendary Kingdom known as Atlantica]

Atlantica Introduction[edit | edit source]

"Daughters of Triton"[edit | edit source]

  • (Sebastian makes his way down where he lands to his spot and took out his music note sheet, and placed it down, before swimming up then taps his conductor baton, and conducted the orchestra as they played their instruments as we find three shells coming up)
  • [Triton's daughters]
  • Ah, we are the daughters of Triton
  • Great father who loves us and named us well:
  • Aquata
  • [Aquata]
  • Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah
  • [Triton's Daughters]
  • Andrina
  • [Andrina]
  • Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah

  • [Alana]
  • Ah-ah-ah
  • [Triton's Daughters]
  • And then there is the youngest in her musical debut
  • Our seventh little sister, we're presenting her to you
  • To sing a song Sebastian wrote, her voice is like a bell,
  • She's our sister, Ar-i . . .
  • (But then they gasps horrified to find their younger sister missing from her shell)
  • Sebastian: (gasps horrified and turns nervously to King Triton)
  • King Triton: (very angry) Ariel!!!

"Part of Your World"[edit | edit source]

  • Flounder: Ariel, are you okay?
  • Ariel: If only I could make him understand. I just don't see things the way he does. I don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad.
  • Bloom: Ariel, there's something I have to tell you. I don't trust your father.
  • Ariel: Bloom, I know my father can be stubborn sometimes, but he cares about me.
  • Stella: Hello?! Did you see how rude he was when he yelled at you? "As long as you live under my ocean, you'll obey my rules!" My father would never treat me that way.
  • Flora: Yeah, he was rude. That was no need for him to shout at you, Ariel.
  • Tecna: Well, I also don't trust his so-called "court composer" Sebastian. Did you see how unforgiving he was when Ariel tried to apologize for missing the concert by accident? (Sebastian watches nearby and glares as Bloom and her friends express their dislike of him and Triton) That was way beyond rude.
  • Musa: You know, if my pixie pal Tune witnessed all of that, she would never approve of their behaviors. I mean what's their deal?
  • Layla: Everyone needs to chill. Triton and Sebastian are not bad as you guys think.
  • Stella: Well, not only did they yelled at her because of that concert, but Triton acted very prejudiced about the human world! I know some humans can't be trusted like Jafar. but they got it all wrong about what's above the water.
  • Layla: They're just stressed right now. Remember when it took Basil a while to get used to Olivia back in London?
  • Stella: This is different!
  • Bloom: They just hurt Ariel's feelings back there, Layla! They don't care what it means to her to be adding human treasures to her grotto.
  • Ariel: But Bloom. these things are not just why I'm interested in the human world. There's so much more to it than that.
  • Bloom: What do you mean, Ariel?

[Ariel]

Look at this stuff. Isn't it neat?

Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?

Wouldn't you think I'm the girl,

the girl who has everything?

Look at this trove, treasures untold

How many wonders can one cavern hold?

Looking around here, you'd think

Sure, she's got everything

I've got gadgets and gizmos a-plenty

I've got whooz-its and whats-its galore

You want thing-a-mabobs? I've got twenty

But who cares? No big deal. I want more!

I wanna be where the people are

I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancin'

Walkin' around on those...

(Flounder shows off his tail as feet)

What do you call 'em? Oh, feet

(Flounder laughs along with Bloom and the Winx)

Flippin' your fins you don't get too far

Legs are required for jumpin', dancin'

Strolling along down the...

What's that word again? Street

Up where they walk

Up where they run

Up where they stay all day in the sun

Wanderin' free,

wish I could be

part of that world

What would I give

if I could live

outta these waters?

(Sebastian gasps upon seeing his own reflection and fall to a cup)

What would I pay

to spend a day

warm on the sand?

Betcha on land

they understand

Bet they don't reprimand their daughters

Bright young women,

sick of swimmin',

ready to stand

And I'm ready to know what the people know

Ask 'em my questions and get some answers

What's a fire and why does it...

What's the word?

[Ariel and the Winx]

Burn?

[Ariel]

When's it my turn?

Wouldn't I love,

love to explore that shore up above?

Out of the sea,

wish I could be

part of that world

  • (Then the mug Sebastian got stuck in rolled down and broke and he fell to Jack-in-the-box and he ends up grabbing hold off a sheet as it then fell down with him and other human items with a big crash)
  • The Winx: (gasps startled)
  • (Flounder his in a knight's helmet startled)
  • Ariel: (upon noticing Sebastian has accidentally crashed into a pile of some of her human treasures) Sebastian!
  • Stella: (angrily) Oh no!
  • Bloom: (grunting angrily)
  • Musa: What do you want?! Come to rub it in Ariel's face again about that stupid concert?!
  • Sebastian: Ariel, girls, what are you- How could you- What is all this?!
  • Ariel: It's just my collection.
  • Sebastian: Oh, I see, your collection. IF YOUR FATHER KNEW ABOUT THIS PLACE-
  • Flounder: You're not going to tell him, are you?
  • Stella: Yeah! Especially after the way you and Triton treated Ariel back in the throne room was unacceptable, so don't even think about it! You are keeping your big mouth shut!
  • Bloom: So don't even think about telling the sea king about this!
  • Layla: Bloom, wait. (to Sebastian) What are you doing here?
  • Sebastian: Look, I never wanted to follow Ariel in the first place. I was sent by King Triton to watch over her and keep her away from the surface.
  • Tecna: So that's why you followed us here!
  • Musa: Sent by the king to spy on Ariel? Not cool!
  • Sebastian: It was not my idea!
  • Flora: We know that, but still...
  • Layla: Sebastian, we know you're only doing you job for Ariel's father, but we would appreciate it if you keep everything about her grotto a secret.
  • Ariel: She's right, Sebastian, he would never understand!
  • Sebastian: Ariel, you're under a lot of pressure down here. Come with me, I'll talk you home, and-
  • Ariel: (spots a shadow figure above the ocean) What do you suppose- (swims up to the surface to get a closer look)
  • Sebastian: Ariel? (Ariel swam out of the entrance of her grotto) Ariel?!
  • Musa: Where's Ariel going?
  • Tecna: We better follow her and make sure she doesn't get into any trouble.

"Under The Sea"[edit | edit source]

  • Sebastian: Ariel, listen to me. The human world, it's a mess. Life under the sea is better than any'ting they got up there!

(Under the Sea)

  • [Sebastian]
  • The seaweed is always greener
  • In somebody else's lake
  • You dream about going up there,
  • But that is a big mistake
  • Just look at 'de world around you

He whispers to Ariel which she looks shocked with a smile and followed him. Sebastain and the rest continued on without knowing)

(Songs ends)

After "Under The Sea"[edit | edit source]

  • Sebastian: Ariel? (the fish swim away) Aww... Somebody's got to nail that girl's fins to the floor.

Ariel and King Triton's argument/King Triton destroys Ariel's collection[edit | edit source]

  • Bloom: Triton, I don't know what's wrong with you, but you're being very mean. And we're not going to sit here while you throw your little kingly tantrum. You can't do that to Ariel!
  • King Triton: (turns to Bloom) Young lady, you're not from another ocean. You're from the human world, aren't you?
  • Bloom: How did you know that?
  • King Triton: Sebastian has told me everything. I do not tolerate with trespassers interfering with rules I make around my kingdom.
  • Bloom: (accusingly) What is with you? Hey, I think I know what Ariel likes, and trust me, I don't go for the whole jerk thing. (Triton glares at Bloom as she confronts him) I still can't figure out why you hate humans so much. You're a totally conceited, totally cocky, totally boring waste of good oxygen! I'm sorry, but guys like you give guys a bad name, Triton!
  • King Triton: I did this for my daughter's own good!
  • Tecna: Just because you're trying to protect your daughter, it doesn't give you the right to be so cruel. We're sick of it.
  • Musa: Yeah, Triton, you're acting like a total tyrant.
  • Flora: As a father, you should show some love and compassion to Ariel and not abuse her to follow your rules.
  • Stella: Besides, you should have thought about it before you sent your crustacean lackey to do your bidding!
  • King Triton: Enough! I don't care what you all say about me. I'm only trying to keep my daughter safe from the dangers of the human world, and you're all getting in my way.
  • Bloom: We were only trying to make Ariel happy for what she wants.
  • Tenca: And it's you who's getting in her way,
  • Layla: They're right, Triton. Not all humans are bad. If you were to meet this human Ariel saved and see he's not as bad as you think, you would give him a chance. You know you would.
  • King Triton: I refuse to do anything with one of those barbarians!
  • Bloom: You're acting more like a barbarian than you think!
  • King Triton: Don't you take that tone of voice of me, young lady!
  • Musa: You are the one with the bad attitude!
  • Stella: Yeah, all you care about are your unfair rules. You are nothing more than a rude, selfish, ruthless, bad-tempered-
  • King Triton: Not another word! And you are never, NEVER, to set foot in this kingdom to see my daughter again! IS THAT CLEAR?!
  • Bloom: You can't tell us what to do because you're not our father! If you don't care about how your daughter feels just because she wants to live a different life above the sea, then why don't you just get out of here, and LEAVE HER ALONE!
  • King Triton: (takes one look at his daughter crying, then shows a sign of regret and leaves the grotto without another word)
  • Bloom: (thinking she accidentally hurt his feelings, she tries to apologize to Triton) Triton, wait. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-
  • Stella: Please, he had it coming.
  • Layla: Stella!
  • Stella: What? You don't think I'm right?
  • Sebastian: (tries to comfort Ariel) Ariel, I-
  • Ariel: (still sobbing) Just go away.
  • Layla: You leave her alone too, Sebastian.
  • Musa: Yeah, you better come with us. We have some unfinished business with you.
  • (They all swim out to leave the poor sobbing Ariel alone as she continues to cry on the rock she's laying on. Unknown to Ariel, Ursula's eels Flotsam and Jetsam appear above and finding her alone they swam to her)
  • Flotsam: Poor child.
  • Jetsam: Poor, sweet child.
  • Flotsam: She has a very serious problem.
  • Jetsam: If only there was something we could do.
  • Flotsam: But there is something.
  • Ariel: (slowly tries to calm down after the chaotic incident, she looks nervously at the eels) Who-who are you?
  • Jetsam: Don't be scared.
  • Flotsam: We represent someone who can help you.
  • Jetsam: Someone who can make all your dreams come true.
  • Flotsam & Jetsam: Just imagine.
  • Jetsam: You and your prince.
  • Flotsam & Jetsam: Together forever.
  • Ariel: I don't understand.
  • Jetsam: Ursula has great powers.
  • Ariel: The sea witch? Why that's...I couldn’t possibly... No! Get out of here! Leave me alone!
  • Flotsam: Suit yourself.
  • Jetsam: That was only a suggestion. (flicks the piece of the statue to Ariel)
  • (Ariel looks down at the piece and sees Eric's face on it. She picks it up and looks at it. It reminded her of how the statue and the rest of her treasures were destroyed by her father's rage. Seeing that there was now no way of being with Eric now that her father learned about him and seeing what he did to her collection in the grotto, Ariel made up her mind.)
  • Ariel: Wait!
  • Flotsam & Jetsam: Yes?
  • (Meanwhile, while Ariel was talking to Flotsam and Jetsam, Bloom and her friends argued with Sebastian and blamed him for not only revealing Ariel's secret grotto and her saving Prince Eric to King Triton, but also getting them into trouble with the king and getting exiled as a result)
  • Flounder: (sniffs) Poor Ariel.
  • Bloom: This is unbelievable. You call yourself her friend and you tattle tale on her like that?!
  • Layla: How could you do this to Ariel, Sebastian?! You promised you wouldn't tell her father about this!
  • Sebastian: I didn't meant to tell, it was an accident.
  • Musa: Yeah right. Even after your pathetic attempt to get the best of her with your catchy song, you went too far.
  • Bloom: Totally. This is kind of your fault, you know.
  • Sebastian: What's that supposed to mean?
  • Stella: Seriously, you've been harassing Ariel ever since you wouldn't forgive her about that lousy concert. You couldn't even keep your big mouth shut and your secrets to yourself! And now, you've crossed the line by blabbing it out to her father that she's in love with a human prince and watching him destroy her collection. And getting us in trouble with him for what he thinks was "getting in his way"?! That was so not nice!
  • Tecna: Because of you, Triton has made us fugitives of this kingdom! Your behavior was by far, careless and reckless indeed!
  • Sebastian: That's not true!
  • Layla: Well, you just let Triton destroy Ariel's stuff and you did nothing to stop him!
  • Musa: Yeah, that and maybe you did that on purpose!
  • Sebastian: I never intended the sea king to do that.
  • Bloom: Oh, what do you care? You just helped him ruin her life.
  • Sebastian: But if you girls would only listen-
  • Stella: We heard enough! You are so going to get it!
  • Flora: Stop it! That's enough, all of you! Get a grip, you guys. Sebastian didn't mean to tell on Ariel, he's telling the truth.
  • Musa: How do we know, huh?
  • Tecna: She's right, why should we believe that lying, trouble-making crustacean?
  • Flora: If you girls were to listen to him, maybe you'd have a batter chance of understanding. (to Sebastian) Go ahead, Sebastian. Tell us why you didn't mean any of this to happen.
  • Sebastian: I only thought the sea king knew something about this. I didnt mean to tell him what happened, but I panicked, it just sort of slipped out.
  • Musa: I don't get it, you honestly thought Triton knew about our secret when he called you in to ask you a question about Ariel?
  • Sebastian: Yes.
  • Bloom: Hey, you really do care about Ariel, don't you.
  • Sebastian: Well, not for how rebellious she behaves. But in way, I do care about her. I now realize how much her collection means to her, and I'm sorry for everything that happened. Can you all forgive me?
  • Bloom: Sure, Sebastian. I forgive you.
  • Tecna: I forgive you too.
  • Flora: Me three.
  • Musa: Yeah, any friend of Ariel is a friend of mine.
  • Layla: I agree. I think we should all give Sebastian another chance.
  • Stella: Not me.
  • Tecna: What do you mean, Stella? Sebastian is not that hard as we thought.
  • Stella: That's what he wants us to think. One minute he's our friend, and the next thing we'll know, he's going to double cross us and tattle tale on Ariel again.
  • Bloom: We can forgive him for this.
  • Stella: Haven't you girls forgotten what he did?
  • Bloom: Stella, because, he's learned his mistake. We can trust him now.
  • Stella: How do you expect me to trust that little liar?
  • Flora: (sees something) Hey, wait a second.
  • Stella: No, you listen, if you expect me to forgive that-
  • Flora: (covers Stella's mouth), Shh. Look. (they all see Ariel swimming away with Flotsam and Jetsam)
  • Sebastian: Ariel, where are you going? Ariel, what are you doing here with this riff-raff?
  • Ariel: I'm going to see Ursula.
  • Layla: (gasps horrified)
  • Sebastian: (gasps with horror) Ariel, no! (grabs her tail and tries to stop) No, she's a demon! She's a monster!
  • Ariel: Why don't you go tell my father! (she swats him away) You're good at it!
  • Sebastian: But I-
  • Layla: Oh no.
  • Bloom: What's wrong, Layla?
  • Layla: I forgot to warn you girls about Ursula.
  • Tecna: What are you talking about? Who is Ursula?
  • Layla: She is an evil sea witch. She wants to destroy King Triton for banishing her from Atlantica so she could rule the seas.
  • Bloom: (gasps) That's so awful.
  • Stella: Now why would that jerk of a king banish someone so evil?
  • Flora: Never mind that. What does Ursula want with Ariel?
  • Musa: I don't know, but I think it has something to do with the human prince Ariel likes.
  • Bloom: I say we follow Ariel and find out what this Ursula is up to. Sebastian will lead the way.
  • Sebastian: (gasps) Me?
  • Bloom: Look, it may take us a while to trust you now, but you know this ocean better than we do. So the way I see it is we could either sit here and argue about Triton any further, or we could do something. So what do you say, could you lead us to Ursula's lair?
  • Sebastian: (sighs) Alright. Follow me.
  • (They all swam after Ariel, Flotsam, and Jetsam. We then see Flotsam, Jetsam, and Ariel swimming by some small underwater volcanoes till they reached Ursula's lair, which is the corpse of a deceased sea monster. The Winx, Sebastian, and Flounder watched from afar)
  • -
  • -
  • -
  • (We then see Ariel, Flotsam, and Jetsam swimming to the entrance though Ariel is frightened to go in at first)
  • Flotsam and Jetsam: This way.
  • (Ariel was reluctant but hesitantly swims into the entrance. Inside she would discover the garden full of polyps as the groaned or moaned rather scary as she looks around rather scared. Then one of the polyps seized her hand)
  • Ariel: (gasps)
  • (She almost got pulled down till she pull her hand up and got free and panted till...)
  • Ursula: Come in. Come in, my child. (Ariel came and looked in) We mustn't lurk in doorways. (she comes out from her chambers) It's rude. One might question your upbringing. (chuckles as she looks herself in the mirror) Now then, you’re here because you have a thing for this human: this, eh, prince fellow. Not that I blame you. He is quite a catch, isn't he? (chuckles) Well, angelfish, the solution to your problem is simple. (she blew a kiss to herself in the mirror) The only way to get what you want is to become a human yourself.
  • Ariel: (gasps) Can you do that?
  • (Ursula gives a sinister look)
  • Ursula: My dear, sweet child. That's what I do. It's what I live for: to help unfortunate merfolk, like yourself. Poor souls with no one else to turn too.

Poor Unfortunate Souls[edit | edit source]

  • [Ursula]
  • I admit that, in the past, I've been a nasty
  • They weren't kidding when they called me, well, "a witch"
  • But you'll find that nowadays, I've mended all my ways
  • Repented, seen the light, and made a switch.
  • True? Yes.
  • And I fortunately know a little magic
  • It's a talent that I always have possessed
  • And here lately, please don't laugh
  • I use it on behalf of the miserable, lonely, and depressed
  • "Pathetic"
  • Poor unfortunate souls in pain, in need
  • This one longing to be thinner
  • That one wants to get the girl
  • And do I help them? Yes, indeed
  • Those poor unfortunate souls

(From the entrance we find Sebastian, Flounder, Bloom, and the Winx peeking in and looked creeped out upon witnessing the garden of creepy polyps as they sneaked in while avoiding them)

  • So sad, so true
  • They come flocking to my cauldron
  • Crying, "Spells, Ursula, please!"
  • And I help them!
  • Yes, I do
  • Now, it's happened once or twice
  • Someone couldn't pay the price
  • And I'm afraid I had to rake 'em 'cross the coals
  • Yes, I've had the odd complaint
  • But on the whole I've been a saint
  • To those poor unfortunate souls
  • Ursula: Now here's a deal. I will make you a potion that will turn you into a human for three days. Got that? Three days. Now, listen. This is important. Before the sun sets on the third day, you've got to get dear old princy to fall in love with you. That is, he's got to kiss you. Not just any kiss. The kiss of true love.

Sebastian Agrees to Help Ariel[edit | edit source]

(On the shore of Eric's Castle home we find him playing his flute the melody of "Part of Your World" with Max the dog watching. Then Eric stoped playing and got up)

  • Max: (barks)
  • Prince Eric: (sighs) That voice. I can't get it out of my head. (sighs) I've looked everywhere, Max. Where could she be.

(Then we find our heroes helping Ariel reach to shore on land once Ursula turned her into a human. We find Flounder and Sebastian panting tired after reaching the shore.)

  • Bloom: Is everyone okay?
  • Stella: Yeah, that was one scary encounter we had with Ursula back there. I guess you were right about that sea witch, Layla.
  • Layla: Yeah, not only is she evil, but ugly too.
  • Musa: That is one witch I don't like!
  • Tecna: I don't understand what Icy, Darcy, and Stormy are doing working with her. It's not likely for them to go around and witch us up.
  • Flora: Whatever they're doing. It must be another plan to get revenge on us.
  • Ariel: (wakes up, surprised to notice her new legs, then raises one leg up and smiles as she wiggles her toes)
  • Scuttle: Well, look at what the catfish dragged in! (laughs and lands on Ariel's new legs) Look at ya. Look at ya. There's something different.
  • Bloom: Scuttle, you wouldn't believe what just happened to Ariel. She's-
  • Scuttle: Don't tell me. I got it. It's her hairdo, right? She's been using the dinglehopper, right? (Ariel shakes her head) No?, No, huh?
  • Layla: Try guessing again, Scuttle.
  • Scuttle: Well, let me see. New seashells? (Ariel doesn't answer)
  • Musa: (to Scuttle) You're getting colder.
  • Scuttle: No new seashells. (Ariel shakes her leg) I gotta admit, I can't put my foot on it right now, (Stella becomes annoyed at Scuttle's stupidity) but if I just stand here long enough, I just know that…
  • Stella: SHE'S GOT LEGS, SCUTTLE! Ariel traded her voice to this sea witch named Ursula and now she's got legs. How did you not get that?
  • Scuttle: I knew that.
  • Musa: (sarcastically) Right.
  • Flounder: Ariel's been turned into a human. She's gotta make the prince fall in love with her, and he's gotta kiss her.
  • Sebastian: And she's only got three days! (Ariel trips over her new feet and made a splash soaking Scuttle) Just look at her! On legs! On human legs! (gasps) My nerves are shot. This is a catastrophe! What would her father say? I'll tell you what her father would say. He said he's gonna kill himself a crab! That's what her father would say! I'm gonna march meself straight home right now and tell him like I (gets scooped up by Bloom and her friendsl) should have done the minute...
  • Musa: Sebastian, don't!
  • Sebastian: And don't you shake your heads at me, young ladies.
  • Stella: You're not telling!
  • Bloom: Yeah, you promised you wouldn't be a tattle-tale again!
  • Sebastian: Maybe there's still time. If we could get that witch to give her back her voice, she could go home with all the normal fish and just be... (sees Bloom and her friends scowling at him) Eh, just be...
  • Musa: You might as well toss it in, Sebastian.
  • Stella: Hate to say this, but you don't have any other choice.
  • Tecna: Sebastian, as hard as it may be for you to understand, you should start thinking about what's best for Ariel.
  • Bloom: Think, if she goes back to her life in the sea now, she could be miserable for the rest of her life.
  • Flora: You can't keep forcing her to change her mind. You know that, right?
  • Sebastian: But, girls, she's-
  • Layla: Sebastian, please. Ariel has had enough with her father's harsh rules and bad temper. We can't make her suffer like this anymore. Even if you don't like doing this, could you at least try to help Ariel find Prince Eric? Think about it, it would really mean a whole lot to her.
  • Sebastian: (Ariel makes a sad, gloomy look on her face at him) But I... I... (then finally gives in) I hate to admit, but I have to agree with you girls on this one. (sighs) All right, all right. I'll try to help her find that prince. (get kissed by Ariel and is set down on a rock) Boy, what a soft shell I'm turning out to be.
  • Stella: Oh, boo-hoo-hoo. Those who help princesses in need never whine about making up for their bad attitude.
  • Musa: Stella, Sebastian already said he was sorry! Will you get over it?
  • Stella: I'll get over it once he stops acting like a crabby mouth.
  • Bloom: No offense, Stella, but don't you think we've all been acting a little crabby towards Sebastian?
  • Stella: Um, why do you say that?
  • Tecna: Well, you know, we've been acting very judgemental towards him like how quickly we judged Nabu before getting to know him better.
  • Flora: Yeah, maybe we all were too judgemental towards him.
  • Stella: But girls, he shouldn't have been involved with Triton's harsh rules!
  • Layla: We know, Stella. It may seemed like that at first, but they're right, and I think you still owe him some forgiveness from earlier.
  • Stella: (hesitates for a moment, but realizes her friends are right) Maybe you're right. (to Sebastian) Hey. Sebastian?
  • Sebastian: Yes?
  • Stella: Here's the thing. I'm no good at this stuff, but whatever, here it is. Some of the things I say are me putting up walls because I'm insecure.
  • Sebastian: Really?
  • Stella: Sometimes. Anyway, I'm sorry for not forgiving you earlier.
  • Sebastian: It's alright, Stella. And I'm sorry again, girls, for not understanding how much the human world means to Ariel and for getting you all in trouble with King Triton.
  • Bloom: It's okay, Sebastian. You know, we may not have gotten along well with you back in the sea, but now we can be on good terms with you since we're all helping Ariel to fall in love with Eric and save her from Ursula, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy's wrath.
  • Sebastian: You're right, Bloom. You girls have an extraordinary amount of loyalty to Ariel whenever she's feeling blue. Perhaps it is time we start working together.
  • Flora: First, we gotta find something for Ariel to wear, she doesn't have clothes now that she's been turned into a human.
  • Scuttle: Don't worry, guys. I've got this. Now Ariel, I’m tellin' ya, (picks up an old ship sail) if you wanna be a human, the first thing you gotta do is dress like one. Now let me see.

Sebastian reveals to Bloom and her friends why King Triton hates humans/King Triton feeling guilty[edit | edit source]

  • Sebastian: (removing the food particles off his shell) This has got to be without a doubt the single most humiliating day of my life. (gets patted on the head by Ariel) I hope you appreciate what I go through for you, young ladies.
  • Musa: You know, Sebastian, if Ariel hadn't saved you back at the dinner table, you would have been eaten by Eric's servant by now.
  • Stella: She's right, 'darhling'. When a princess helps you out of any situation, you should be thankful and grateful for her, shouldn't he, Bloom? (turns to see Bloom looking melancholy) Bloom, what's the matter?
  • Bloom: Nothing.
  • Flora: We can tell something's wrong. We can feel it.
  • Layla: Is this about our disagreement with King Triton earlier today?
  • Bloom: I feel bad.
  • Tecna: Bloom, how could you feel sorry for Triton after the way he treated Ariel and how he destroyed her collection?
  • Stella: And not to mention, banishing us from Atlantica just because we were only trying to help Ariel. You were right to tell him off to leave her alone.
  • Bloom: I know, but maybe I shouldn't have raised my voice back there. I just wanted him to understand that there is good in the human world.
  • Musa: Look, if any of us can convince Triton that not all humans are bad, it's us, and obviously, it's not happening. Just let it go. It'd be better for everyone, right Stella?
  • Stella: It's sad, but it's true. There's no hope for Ariel that her father would understand.
  • Flora: Let's just forget about him, Bloom. He's not worth it.
  • Tecna: Besides, if he doesn't care how Ariel feels, then we should forget about him and move on.
  • Layla: As much as I hate to agree with them, Bloom, I'm afraid they're right. Triton would never approve of Ariel being a human if he witnessed all of this. Even if we did try to get him to meet Eric before he got to know him better, he would try to kill him, and it would terrorize his people into think Triton is a barbarian. It would only make things worse.
  • Bloom: You're right, Layla. Maybe it's safe to assume Triton still doesn't care how Ariel feels.
  • Tecna: What I don't understand is why he doesn't want his daughter to have anything to do with the human world.
  • Musa: I agree, Tecna. What did we ever do to make Triton hate humans so much? We haven't done anything wrong to him or to Ariel.
  • Sebastian: (listens to the girls lamenting about Triton's hatred to the human world, then sighs, knowing it's time they knew the truth.) You girls are right. You haven't done anything wrong to Triton or Ariel, and the sea king wasn't always this strict and prejudiced.
  • Flora: What do you mean, Sebastian?
  • Sebastian: Ariel had a difficult childhood growing up in a world with no music, no fun, and without a mother. (Bloom and her friends gasp)
  • Stella: Ariel doesn't a mom???
  • Bloom: What happened to her?
  • Sebastian: Years before you girls came to Atlantica, when Ariel and her sisters were very little, King Triton loved playing and having fun with them. He especially loved hearing his wife sing beautiful songs their daughters. Ariel's mother was than just his queen, she was his best friend. One day, when they took their daughters to the surface on their wedding anniversary, King Triton gave his wife a beautiful music box as a present. But then, that happy moment ended when a group of vicious pirates appeared, attacked them and stolen their treasures. King Triton managed to get his daughters to safety, but his queen didn't make it. She stayed behind to save her music box. But unfortunately, she...
  • Tecna: (starts crying) She was killed?
  • Sebastian: (nods sadly)
  • Flora: That's horrible.
  • Sebastian: When Ariel's mother died, the whole kingdom was heart-broken. The heart that never healed....was her father's. Ever since then, King Triton has forbidden contact between the mer world and the human world. He also banned music from Atlantica for some time, but Ariel and I managed to lift the banning of music. But he wouldn't change his mind about humans. And I had no choice but to follow the sea king's every command of his rule, even if Ariel continued to disobey him.
  • Musa: So that's why Triton hates humans so much.
  • Layla: Sounds like it was too painful for him to be around humans. And based on what happened today, it still is.
  • Bloom: Is it really true of what happened to your mother that your father believes humans are bad, Ariel? (Ariel nods sadly, then turns to Sebastian) Sebastian, why haven't you told us any of that before?
  • Sebastian: Because... we weren't friends before,
  • Stella: It doesn't matter, because after how harsh Triton behaved towards us for helping her to make her life better, I just don't wanna hear his name ever again, you got that?!
  • Tecna: What's important now is that we help Ariel get Eric to kiss her before she becomes a slave to Ursula, Icy, Darcy, and Stormy.
  • Sebastian: That's right. Now, Ariel, we got to make a plan to get that boy to kiss you. Tomorrow, when he takes you for that ride, you gotta look your best. you gotta bat your eyes...like this. (bats his eyes, then puckered up his lips) You gotta pucker up your lips...like this. (he, Bloom, and the others see that Ariel has already fallen asleep)
  • Layla: Now how about that, Ariel has already fallen asleep and is very happy with her new surroundings on land.
  • Musa: We'll explain the details to her again in the morning when we wake up early.
  • Bloom: Good night, you guys, we got a big day tomorrow.
  • Sebastian: (As the girls turn in for the night, Sebastian blows out the candle and hops on to Ariel's pillow.) You are hopeless, child. You know that. (lays down on the pillow) Completely hopeless. (yawns and goes to sleep)
  • (Meanwhile, back in Atlantica, King Triton had sent everyone to find Ariel, Bloom, and their friends to apologize to them about what happened back at the grotto. The seahorse herald arrives to the worrisome king)
  • King Triton: Any sign of them?
  • Seahorse Herald: No, your majesty. We searched everywhere. We've found no trace of your daughter or Sebastian.
  • King Triton: What about Bloom and her friends? Have you had any luck finding them either?
  • Seahorse Herald: I'm afraid not, sire. They might have already left the kingdom when you banished them, and it's possible your daughter may have went with them.
  • King Triton: Well, keep looking. Leave no shell unturned, no coral unexplored. Let no one in this kingdom sleep until they're all safe at home.
  • Seahorse Herald: Yes, sire. (bows and leaves)
  • King Triton: (sulks in his throne, feeling guilty about destroying the treasures in Ariel's grotto and banishing Bloom and her friends) Oh, what have I done? What have I done?
