*[[Timon]] and [[Pumbaa]] have originally guest starred in the previous film, but have since been removed from the remake versions, especially due to ''[[Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa's Adventures of Tarzan]]'' being planned to be rebooted by Yakko Warner.
*[[Buzzie, Flaps, Dizzy, and Ziggy]], [[Jiminy Cricket]], and [[Zazu]] are absent in all versions of this film, due to their guest appearances in ''[[Ash Ketchum Meets Tarzan]]''.

*This film was originally dedicated simply to Nigel Hawthorne (the voice of Professor Porter), as he had died on December 26, 2001. In fact, the original ''Tarzan'' was Hawthorne's last film role. The remake, however, was dedicated not only to him, but to Robert B. Sherman (who wrote the songs for the ''Winnie the Pooh'' featurettes).
