The upcoming remake version was then be titled ''Winnie the Pooh Returns to Madagascar'' until it was learned that another prequel TV series ''Madagascar: A Little Wild'' actually begins the chronological events, reverting this film's title back to ''Winnie the Pooh Goes to Madagascar'' for the sake of ''[[Winnie the Pooh Goes to Madagascar: A Little Wild]]''.
