== Alex meets the Biker Mice/Taking care of Alex == Karen Pruitt: I'll go make you some soup. Jack Pruitt: I'll bring the TV up from the family room. (kisses Alex on the head) Karen Pruitt: Oh, I'm so sorry. (kisses Alex on the head) Jack Pruitt: Hey. Don't scratch. Karen Pruitt: Keep that under your tongue. I'll be back. Alex Pruitt: Nice family. Huh, Doris? (Doris squeaks) Rabbit: Stan and Molly got a lot of nerve teasing Alex. Pooh Bear: Oh, bother. Ripster: Just because they're bigger than him, doesn't mean they get to tease him. ??: Misty: You know you shouldn't let Molly and Stan tease you. I'm a lot like you. Alex Pruitt: Really? You mean your three older sisters tease you? (Ash, Brock, Sulley, Mike, Fred, Rabbit, Pooh, Piglet, and the other heroes leave Misty with Alex) Misty: That's right. I understand how you feel. My older sisters, Daisy, Lily and Violet, known as "The Sensational Sisters", tease me a lot, especially since I am the youngest and they would consider me the runt of the family. Alex Pruitt: Misty, aren't you worried you might catch chickenpox from me? Misty: Oh, I had chickenpox when I was a toddler, and my sisters teased me for it, saying that I had polka dots. Alex Pruitt: I guess that makes us alike. (Just then, the Biker Mice come into Alex's room) Throttle: Hey, Misty. The others told us you were up here. Misty: Yeah. I stayed behind to look after Alex. Vinnie: So, this is Alex Pruitt, huh? (Alex paused for a moment after seeing the Biker Mice) Alex Pruitt: (screams in fright) Misty: Alex, Alex, it's okay. They won't hurt you. Throttle: We're friends of Pooh Bear, Ash, and the others. Modo: Yeah, we're the good guys. Alex Pruitt: I'm sorry. I just never saw... What are you guys anyway? Throttle: We're mice, Alex. Alex Pruitt: (confused) Mice? I've seen mice including my pet rat, Doris. But I've never seen giant mice with antennas and wearing biker clothes. Where did you guys come from? Modo: From Mars. Alex Pruitt: (surprised) You're alien mice from Mars? Vinnie: Well, not really "alien". More of like "martian". ??? (The next day, Jack, Stan, and Molly came out of the house) Jack Pruitt: Take off. You guys should get going. Stan Pruitt: See you later, Dad. (Stan, Molly, and other children run towards the school bus. Inside, Alex rings his bell) Karen Pruitt: Mr. Greenfield's 401k is invested in the EAFA fund. You have it listed in the mid-cap fund. That's where your 3,000 shortfall is. Bruce: (on phone) Oh. Okay. (Alex continues ringing his bell) Karen Pruitt: Okay? Bruce: (on phone) So you're gonna make it up next quarter. Karen Pruitt: Bruce, can I-- I just have to put you on hold. One sec. (to Alex) Alex. I'm on with the office. (Alex stops ringing his bell) Karen Pruitt: So, I think that what we-- (Alex resumes ringing his bell) Karen Pruitt: I'm really sorry, Bruce. Can I just call you back in a minute? Bruce: (on phone) Sure. Karen Pruitt: Thanks. (Karen hangs up as we see Alex watching an exercise video on TV. He takes out is toy gun and fires the suction cup dart at the TV) Alex Pruitt: (laughs) Gotcha. (Karen comes in) Karen Pruitt: You rang? (Alex controls his remote-control car, carrying an empty glass to Karen) Karen Pruitt: Thirsty? (Karen picks up the glass) Alex Pruitt: Thanks, Mom. (We then change to a realtor and a woman entering an empty house) Female Realtor: Oh. Here we are. Woman: I do wish that my husband could have been here today. Female Realtor: Well, it's a cozy little place. Woman: Oh! Well, isn't this charming? Female Realtor: And it's available immediately. (The woman turns around, revealing to be Alice in disguise) Alice Ribbons: My boys are just gonna love it here. Yes, they will. (Outside, the realtor removes the sign from the ground. We cut back to Alex, walking to his telescope, wearing a Darth Vader turban. He was spying on Mrs. Hess' house) Man (on TV): Plus special care and feeding tips next on Pets on Parade. (Alex looks through his telescope and sees Mrs. Hess. Doris comes out of his bag) Alex Pruitt: Look, Doris. (Doris looks through the telescope and sees a cat on Mrs. Hess' TV and hides back in the bag) Alex Pruitt: If you think that was amusing, wait till you see what I do next. (Alex goes inside Stan's bedroom and looks under his bed and finds his shotgun) Alex Pruitt: Oh, yeah. (Alex uses the telescope from the shotgun and taped it on his TV remote and presses the power button, turning off Mrs. Hess' TV. Mrs. Hess notices and turns the TV back on) Woman (on TV): This is a very important piece. (Alex then presses the channel button on the remote and changes the channel to a music video) Alex Pruitt: (chuckles) (As Alex presses the power button again, we see Beaupre rolling down the van's window he takes out a device as it shows a house on the monitor. We then see Jernigan disguised as an electrician and starts taking pictures and clips a wire. Alice drives the van past a house as we see a dog in the back yard and stops the van. Unger opens the gate as the dog growls. He brings the dog to the van and opens the door as he brings the dog into the van) Earl Unger: Sit. (The dog does so) Earl Unger: I can't wait for next week. (comes into the van) Alice Ribbons: I hate dogs. (Back at the Pruitt house, the Biker Mice come into Alex's room) Throttle: Alex, what are you doing out of bed? Alex Pruitt: Just showing Doris. Modo: Didn't your momma ever tell you to stay in bed while you're sick? Alex Pruitt: Yeah, but I don't feel that bad. Vinnie: Well, you'd better get back into bed or you won't get any better. Alex Pruitt: Okay, if you say so. I just wanted to show Doris how I'm playing tricks on Mrs. Hess. (Downstairs) Karen Pruitt: Charlie, we've been over all this. You know I can't come in. Alex is sick. Charlie (on phone): Finley just called. He's on his way in to review his portfolio. Karen Pruitt: Oh, gosh. You're kidding. Charlie (on phone): No. Karen Pruitt: How long is he in town? Charlie (on phone): He's leaving Friday. Karen Pruitt: (exhales) Charlie (on phone): You know we can't cancel-- Karen Pruitt: No, that's okay. Mary Lou can handle it. She can-- She can access-- Charlie (on phone): Mary Lou is not who he expects to see. Now you're the point person on this. Karen Pruitt: No-- Charlie (on phone): Look. You gave me your word you could handle it. Karen Pruitt: I know I promised you. But my child wasn't sick when I promised you. There's n-- Charlie (on phone): It's not my fault you can't find a babysitter. Karen Pruitt: Okay, fine. One hour. I can come in for one hour. That is it. Charlie (on phone): Fine. Karen Pruitt: If Alex beeps me, I'm gone. You can fire me if you want to, but I'm gone. Charlie (on phone): Karen-- Karen Pruitt: And, Charlie, I just want you to know that you're putting me in the position of having to choose between making a house payment and taking care of my sick child, and I really don't appreciate it. Charlie (on phone): Karen-- Karen Pruitt: (hangs up) Jerk. Sh--Okay. (In Alex's room, Alex was playing with his bubble gun) Alex Pruitt: Did you tell Charlie that I'm desperately ill? Karen Pruitt: (takes the bubble gun) Thank you, Alex. Yes. Charlie knows you're sick. (unbuttons Alex's shirt to put lotion on him) Alex Pruitt: What about the Family Leave Act? Karen Pruitt: I just have to go in and pick up some stuff and sign some papers and show my face. I'll be gone an hour at the very most. I called Mrs. Hess and told her you'd be alone, and she-- Alex Pruitt: You called Mrs. Hess? She knows I'm gonna be alone? Karen: She said if anything comes up, she'll be right over. She wasn't happy about it, but-- Alex Pruitt: She could get tanked up on iced tea and come over and make me smoke cigarettes, Karen Pruitt: Oh, don't be ridiculous. Alex Pruitt: What do I do if there's a tornado? Karen Pruitt: They don't happen in winter. Alex Pruitt: Social unrest? Karen Pruitt: I don't think so. Alex Pruitt: Boredom? I hear it's deadly in old folks. Karen Pruitt: Good-bye, sweetie. (She kisses him on the forehead and was about to leave) Alex Pruitt: What about crooks? Karen Pruitt: I don't think that's a problem during the day, honey. Alex Pruitt: Why not? Nobody's home during the day. I'm only eight, and I figured that out. Don't you think a grown-up crook could figure it out too? Karen Pruitt: This is a very safe neighborhood. There's only one road in and out of here. The doors will be locked. You have all my numbers. I'll be home soon as I can. Alex Pruitt: But, Mom! What about dragons, giant spiders, mummies, the living dead and other figments of my imagination? Karen Pruitt: Alex, I can't help you there. Only you can control your imagination. Pooh Bear: I think we've got everything under control, Mrs. Pruitt. Karen Pruitt: Thank you. (blows Alex a kiss) (She leaves the bedroom, leaving Alex with Pooh and his friends) Alex Pruitt: That's a scary thought.
