Plot edit

The main character, from among the inhabitants of an enchanted forest, is the kind and naive Mavka, who wakes up in the spring along with the rest of the forest's spirits. The musician Lukas, driven by the need to cure his uncle Leo of an illness, goes into the forest to find the tree of life at the suggestion of the cruel Kylina, who wants to use the tree's nourishing power to obtain eternal youth. Mavka admires Lukas's musical talent and feelings arise between them. However, Kylina and her plans to destroy the forest stand in the way of establishing peace between the inhabitants of the forest and the humans. In order to achieve her goals, Kylina incites the villagers against the forest spirits, igniting a battle between them. During this battle, Mavka, as the forest's guardian, summons the One Who Sits in the Rock to bestow her with the power of pyrokinesis, allowing her to drive the villagers out of the forest, but her consciousness is taken away by the One Who Sits in the Rock. A deadly firestorm descends on the village. However, thanks to Lukas's music and a common song, the villagers manage to wake up Mavka, stop the firestorm and save themselves. Kylina found the tree and used its power but de-aged into a baby. The villagers and the forest ended their fight and make peace with each other.
