From left to right: Walsa, Marjo, Grocky

The Time Skeletons are a villainous group from the Time Bokan Series that are interested in finding and stealing a rare diamond called the Dynamond, while also attempting to thwart the Time Bokan crew in their Gaikottsu mecha. They also tend to focus on causing mischief and mayhem in the timeline whenever they're not focused on getting Dynamonds in order to knock Tanpei, Junko, and Parrosuke temporarily off-course in their escapades to find Dr. Kieta. When not facing the Time Bokan crew, they're usually facing other heroes on some of the schemes they feel more inclined with getting away with. This lead to a minor rivalry with the DeltaForce over in Angel City.

One of the staples of the Time Skeletons are their Highlight Attack. Even with the heroes backed up against the wall and on the ropes, their premature celebrations keep them from actually seeing their final move through to the end. This ends up with the attack backfiring and their mech of the week exploding into pieces.

They rarely work for anyone except themselves, however they appear in the Prologue of the DeltaForce Extended Timeline as a second set of henchmen to Judge Doom, and they prove to be capable fighters, for even if the "leader" is down, they refused to give up until the bitter end. They also appear to have ties to Shuriki and Dio in the Quartet Adventures series.

Team Members[edit | edit source]

  • Marjo - Marjo (in the English dub; Lucinda Skullduggery) is the female leader of the crew, 30-years old and living life as a rich woman. Marjo only cares about finding Dynamonds for wealth and power. Although attractive, beauty hides the spoiled and self-absorbed side of her. She also tends to be very manipulative, always getting what she wants when people turn a blind eye, making her a triple threat to any opponent she faces. (She's also a very casual smoker.)
  • Grocky (English dub; Captain Arrow) - The team's mechanic, with his name being a pun on the word "groggy." As the most intelligent member, Grocky specializes in designing animal-themed mechas that are built around the Gaikottsu mecha they constantly use as the controller. Despite this knack for invention, he's also very clumsy. Whenever he performs a "highlight" attack, he never checks to see if it'll work, constantly backfiring on him and the team.
  • Walsa - Where Grocky is the brains, Walsa is the absolute brawns. This 35-year old man serves as the bodyguard of Marjo. He's usually called upon to deal with threats to the gang. Although the dumbest, he's the most observant, often quick to notice small details the others would overlook. Walsa serves as the Co-Pilot of the mechs when Grocky operates the weapons. He seldom thinks for himself and most of the time is on the beck.

Schemes[edit | edit source]

Main Timeline[edit | edit source]

  • During the events of A Land Without Feelings, they declared a rivalry with Team Rocket, claiming to be the original evil trio and better at them in every way, with their plan to take out Tod and capture Ash's Pikachu for themselves.
    • Mech Name: Eagle Gaikottsu (A large Eagle-based mech with a powerful divebomb attack as well as a literal bomb shooting attack)
      • Cause of Failure: A Care Bear Stare shot their highlight attack straight back at the mech, before being blown up by a second being tacked on as well as Tod's Megaflare finishing move and Pikachu's Thunderbolt.
      • Second Cause of Failure: After being rebuilt, it was immediately destroyed by Tod's Rip and Tear attack, after having been juggled by Pikachu's Gigavolt Havoc and Seviper's Poison Tail.
        • Dio's Punishment: One hour in a jail cell with spiked bars for failing twice in a row in a 60 minute time frame.

DeltaForce Timeline[edit | edit source]

  • Their debut scheme on the wiki was to help find and capture Roger Rabbit in DeltaForce Prologue - The Case of Roger Rabbit. They were up against Tod and Angel through a good amount of the adventure.
    • Mech Name: Cheetah Gaikottsu (A large Cheetah-based mech capable of outspeeding the average car, as well as being small enough to fit down alleyways in a city)
      • Cause of Failure: Two well-timed Electric Attacks from Tod and Angel blew up the engine and sent the Time Skeletons flying away temporarily.
    • Mech Name: Dip Machine (They were able to hijack the mech after Judge Doom's death and attempt to use it to dip Tod)
      • Cause of Failure: Tod blew up the main nozzle after it was repaired before proceeding to force the mech forward after it was drained of Dip. It was then run over by a train summoned by the DeltaForce duo, causing it to explode and send the Time Skeletons into a blast off of their own!

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • According to the creators of the Pokémon Anime, the Time Skeletons, Doronbo Gang, and Akudaman Trio served as the main inspirations behind Team Rocket's Jessie, James, and Meowth.
    • In fact, the trio have their own Smoke Out technique, however unlike Weezing and Seviper who use it as an Offensive Smoke Out, they use it Defensively to mask their Time Travel ability at some points in the original show. Given their technical prowess, it's highly possible they can always replicate it in some outings.
  • The gang's symbol appears to resemble the Greek letter for "Omega," however it is turned upside down to look like a U. Interestingly enough, Marjo doesn't wear this symbol on her clothes when on the job.
  • Despite most of their plans almost working, they never canonically scored a single win against the Time Bokan Crew.
  • In their original incarnation, they have an "alternate" way of blasting off, which was commonly censored in the English Dub compilation films. The official English Dub (which is lost media), is unknown if this alt version is uncut. However, in DeltaForce (and by extension most Pooh's Adventures appearances they're in), they commonly are seen blasting off the same way Team Rocket does, or surviving the skull explosion after a major loss and running to fight again another day.
  • Marjo is the richest of the group, so it appears most of the funding for the Gaikottsu Mechas comes from her. When hired by another villain, they will use the funds provided for extra weapons or mech parts.
  • The Time Skeletons appear in the background of Angel's Trial in Angel in Wonderland. They're mainly there to witness the chicanery, as they know they don't have the power to overpower the Queen of Hearts on their own.
  • In the English OVA of Time Bokan called Time Fighters, they got English names. Marjo is Lucinda Skullduggery, Grocky is Captain Arrow, and Walsa is called Mongo. Their name is also switched to The Skullduggery Crew.
    • However, in the Lost English Dub by Harmony Gold, "Time Patrol," their names are changed again. Marjo is Lady Alice, Grocky is Platypus, and Walsa is Fernando. Not much is known about this dub outside of a 2-minute clip compilation of the Russian Dub, though apparently it covers a lot more episodes than Time Fighters.
