Tigger's Shoes (Pokémon version)/Transcript
This is the transcript for the Ash Ketchum and The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh episode, Tigger's Shoes.
Opening edit
(The episode begins with Rabbit humming happily to himself as he pushes a wheelbarrow of cabbages heading to his garden. Just then he heard Tigger bouncing and he begins to panic.)
- Rabbit: Oh! I won't let him bounce me again. (takes the cabbages and hides them in a tree stump) Oh,I got to hide! Got to hide!
- Tigger: Hoo hoo hoo hoo! First I give a bounce, which I follow with a pounce. An adjustable, combustible. You see, I really must-able. Truly and unruly, duly just a little bounce.
(Tigger lands into the tree stump and he, Rabbit and the cabbages fall out.)
- Tigger: Howdy, long ears.
- Rabbit: (screams)
- Tigger: Say, whatcha doing lying down on the job?
- Rabbit: (annoyed) Look, I got cabbages to harvest, (picks up the cabbages) so would you mind not bouncing for a few days?
- Tigger: (gasps in shock) Not bounce?! But, that's-that's-
- Rabbit and Tigger: What Tiggers do best.
- Rabbit: Yes, yes. I know. (suddenly gets an idea) Wait. I've got it!
Tigger tries to bounce up Castle Ridge/Rabbit makes up a story of the Awesome Bunny edit
Rabbit steals Ash's shoes/Rabbit shows Tigger the amazing shoes of the Awesome Bunny (the shoes he stole from Ash) edit

- Ash Ketchum: Hey, my shoes! (frantically begins looking for his new shoes) Where'd they go?!
- Misty: What?
- Ash Ketchum: My shoes! My special training shoes that I just bought! I just had them right here at this spot and now they're gone!
- Misty: Well, I haven't seen them.
- Brock: Me neither.
Rabbit cruelly puts heavy weights in Ash's stolen shoes edit
- Gopher: (giggles) You sure taught him a lesson. (chuckles)
- Rabbit: (unzips Ash's shoes) It's not over yet. (dumps heavy stuff in them like nuts and bolts)
- Gopher: But, uh, with all that junk in there, he'll never be able to bounce
- Rabbit: That's the point! (puts a horseshoe in them)
- Gopher: (immediately becomes disgusted with Rabbit's cruelty towards Tigger) Oh, wait a minute! (heads for the door) A little prank is one thing, but this is getting carried away!
- Rabbit: But he deserves it, right?
- Gopher: Hmph! (slams the door in disgust)
- Rabbit: Well, I think so. (dumps some more heavy weights in the shoes)
- Gopher: (immediately comes back) By the way, uh, Rabbit, where did you get those shoes anyway?
- Rabbit: Oh, uh,.... I found them.
- Gopher: You sure?
- Rabbit: Oh, alright, fine! I took them from Ash's cabin, okay?!
- Gopher: You what?! You stole them?!
- Rabbit: No, no, no! I borrowed them from him! But, please, don't tell Ash I took them without asking! I'm begging you! I only took them so that I could teach Tigger a lesson in bouncing me! You'd understand, right?
- Gopher: (not buying any of Rabbit's excuses, but secretly plays along) Don't worry, Rabbit. I understand. I won't tell a thing about your little caper.
- Rabbit: Oh, thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Gopher! You're the best!
- Gopher: Yeah, sure. Whatever you say. (leaves, but crosses his fingers since he's planning to tattle on him)
Tigger becomes tired due to the heavy shoes edit
-
-
- Pooh Bear: (grunts) Where did Rabbit get them?
-
- Pooh Bear: Poor Tigger. He looks so very tired.
- Rabbit: Why doesn't anyone think my joke is funny?
-
- Ash Ketchum: I cannot believe I lost my new training shoes. I spent a lot of money on them!
Ash and his friends discover Tigger's somnambulism edit
-
- Misty: Tigger? What's the matter with him?
- Ash Ketchum: I-I don't know. I've never seen him bounce in his sleep before.
- Misty: Do you think he's dead?
- Ash Ketchum: Oh, don't be silly, Misty. The dead don't bounce.
- Misty: Not unless... he turned... INTO A ZOMBIE!!!
- Brock: No, Misty, I think Tigger might have become a somnambulist.
- Misty: HE'S A SOMNAMBULIST!!! Hey, what's a somnambulist?
- Brock: A sleepwalker.
- Ash Ketchum: You mean with Tigger bouncing in his sleep, he's actually sleepwalking?
- Brock: Exactly.
- Ash Ketchum: Is it really that possible to happen to him?
- Brock: Well, of course it is. It can happen to anyone. Especially Tigger. It's a very rare health condition people get during their sleep. But while sleepwalking, they have no control over their actions. It's like they're walking on air.
- Ash Ketchum: Walking on air...
- Misty: So, what do you think might have triggered Tigger's somnambulism? I'm worried about him getting hurt.
- Brock: I really don't know.
Gopher spills the beans/Ending edit
- Pooh Bear: Why, it's only Tigger. (giggles) Wake up, Tigger!
- Tigger: (wakes up) Hiya, Buddy Bear! (notices that he's up on top of Castle Ridge) Uh, hey! How'd I get up here?
- Piglet: The Awful Bunny took you! Un, right, Rabbit?
- Rabbit: Oh, uh, yes. And he took back his shoes. (kicks the bag with the shoes into a hole)
- Gopher: Yah!!! (throws out Ash's stolen shoes and it lands onto Rabbit's feet)
- Rabbit: Yipe! Ooh-hoo!
- Gopher: That's a film-flam fib! There was no awesome bunny! You invented him! And these-those shoes too. (unzips the front to expose Rabbit's prank)
- Tigger: (gasps as he bounces back down from the ridge) You mean Rabbit deliberately put big old weights on my footsies?!
- Rabbit: But, uh, let me explain! (gets bounced on by Tigger)
- Tigger: (inexplicably happy about it) Bunny, old, buddy! You know those shoes will build up my muscals! And thanks to you, I prove I'm the best bouncer in the whole world!
(As Tigger talks, a pair of red angry eyes appear in the darkness.)
- Rabbit: (a bit bewildered and confused) Then-then you forgive me?
- Tigger: Forgive? Why the first thing tomorrow morning, you're gonna help me train for my next bounce.
(A pair of human hands take back the shoes while no one was looking.)
- Rabbit: Next bounce?
- Tigger: Yeah. I heard about this cow that jumped over the moon. Listen, us Tiggers can't let no cows be the bestest jumpers... (but Rabbit responds to Tigger by fainting) Well, what do you know? Overcome with exciter-ment.
- Ash Ketchum: (o.c.) RABBIT!!!
- Rabbit: (abruptly wakes up and gasps in horror)
- Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet (minus Gopher): (gasp in fear)
(The mysterious angry character who's been watching the group was none other than Ash, who appeared to have come to take back his missing shoes.)
- Ash Ketchum: You've been a very naughty boy again, Rabbit!
- Pikachu: Pika, Pikachu!! (sparks electricity)
- Rabbit: B-B-B-B-But I.... (Ash angrily dumps out the heavy weights Rabbit stuffed into his shoes as part of his cruel prank towards Tigger and throws them onto Rabbit) Ash, I can... (gets pummeled by a horseshoe) Ouch!!
- Ash Ketchum: I've been looking all over for these shoes!
- Rabbit: (rubs his head from the horseshoe) Ash, I can explain! (but he gets yanked and dragged away by the ears by Ash) Whoa! Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!
- Ash Ketchum: I'm sure you can.
- Gopher: (whistles innocently but he smirks in satisfaction at Rabbit as he is about to get his just desserts)
- Rabbit: (gasps in realization that Gopher tattled on Rabbit about his cruel prank to Ash in secret)
- Ash Ketchum: Just wait until we tell everything to Brock and Misty. They'll be pretty interested in hearing that little story of yours.
- Rabbit: (gulps nervously)
