This is the transcript for the Ash Ketchum and The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh episode, Things That Go Piglet in the Night.
Opening[edit | edit source]
Piglet: Yeow! Oh d-d-dear!
Pooh Bear: Hang on tight Piglet!
Ash Ketchum: What a great day to play on the swing!
Pooh Bear: Isn't this fun? Whee!
Tigger: Ya-hoo! Hoo-hoo-hoo! Higher! Higher!
Owl: (Hoots) Tallyho!
Misty: This is fun Pooh! Whee!
Eeyore: Sure likes fun, not that I'll ever have any.
Gopher: Hey! What's all this racket? (Gets pulled out of his hole) Hey watch where you're going you Sunday driver.
Tigger: Ha-ha-ha! Hiya Gopher!
Brock: Wanna swing with us?
Gopher: Don't hiya me sonny! How do you expect a fellow to get any sleep with all this noise? Don't you people know it's past your bedtime?
Tigger: Bedtime?
Misty: Bedtime?
(Gopher falls back into his whole and everyone falls off the swing when Tigger stops it)
Tigger: Tigger's need their sleep too, you know. Ah-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
Ash Ketchum: Oh man! We were so busy playing we forgot about our bedtime.
Rabbit: I'm coming back first thing in the morning for my turn.
Tigger: Me too. It's the early bird that steps on the worm.
Eeyore: Bet even the worm gets a turn before me.
Tigger: Hey Piglet, better get home too. Don't wanna be out here with the lights out. The woods are full of bumpities and spookables.
Piglet: Spookables? Oh dear! Oh d-d-dearie dear!
Misty: (firmly) Tigger...
Brock: What did we tell you about going overboard with ghost stories?
Eerie sounds in the night[edit | edit source]
(At Pooh's house Pooh is asleep when he hears a sound that went...)
???: Yaoooh!
Pooh Bear: What was that?
(At Kanga and Roo's house Roo and Tigger were sleeping when the same sound went...)
???: Yaoooh!
Tigger: What was that? Either the moon's got termites, or it's them spookables! I better "investagrate".
(Ash and his friends were asleep as well when...)
???: Yaoooh!
Ash Ketchum: (gasps in fear) W-W-What was that sound?!
Misty: It sounded like a g-g-ghost!
Brock: We b-b-better go c-c-check it out.
(Ash, Misty, Pikachu, and Brock exit the cabin and go walking around to look for the source of the scary sound.)
???: Yaoooh!
Pikachu: Pika! (becomes fearful)
Ash Ketchum: (gulps)
(They continue searching for a while. But the more they look, the more the noise got spookier.)
???: Yaoooh!
Ash and his friends: (freak out, hug each other, and quiver in fright)
Pikachu: Pika! (hides in Ash's hat)
Ash Ketchum: Now, we're starting to act like Shaggy and Scooby.
Misty: N-n-no k-k-kidding!
Brock: Okay, guys, pull yourselves together. As much as we wish Mystery Incorporated are here to help solve this mystery, we've gotta be brave now. So, let's focus on finding that ghost and catch it.
Ash Ketchum: Okay, Brock.
Misty: If you say so.
???: Yaoooh!
Ash and his friends: (scream in fear and run off in the forest)
Pikachu: Pika! (run off)
(At Piglet's house, Piglet is hiding under some pillows.)
Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear. I don't like it when the night...squeaks.
???: Yaoooh!
Piglet: Yike! (covers his ears) There. (chuckles) When I can't hear can't hurt me. (chuckles)
(An ominous shadow of a donkey swinging appears through Piglet's window.)
???: Yaoooh!
Piglet: Oh, n-n-n-no!!! (hides) Oh much better. (comes out with a pillowcase on his head) Now I can't see or hear it. B-b-b-b-but what if it can see and hear me?
(Piglet runs out of his house with the pillowcase still on him)
Piglet: Help! Poooh! (bumps into his mailbox and runs off into the forest) Oh dear, I have to get to Pooh's house. He'll know what to do. (falls down Gopher's hole and makes his way through and comes out of another one of Gopher's holes) Poooh!
Gopher: (comes out of the hole) Hmmm. Something mighty strange goin' on around here.
(Piglet kept running through the woods but couldn't see that he walked up a small tree which pushed down and flung him up into the air)
Piglet: Whoa! (Then he came tumbling down another tree) Oh d-d-d... d-d-d dear. (And the tree was where Pooh Bear's house was, and Piglet landed on the roof and tumbled some more. Pooh Bear heard the noise and pulled out his popgun. Piglet then rolled into Pooh Bear's roof gutter and into the drainpipe and landed in front of Pooh Bear's door)
Pooh Bear: (carrying his popgun goes to the door and when opens it, he thinks he saw...) A ghost!
Piglet: Oh where?! Where?!
Pooh Bear: Help! (Runs around)
Piglet: Aahh! (Runs into Pooh Bear's house and crashes and comes running out of the house again just as Pooh ran some more)
(Tigger hears the eerie sound again)
Tigger: Gasp! A spookable! No bumpity's gonna get the drop on me!
(Then from behind him came Ash and his friends)
Ash Ketchum: (v.o.) Tigger?
Tigger: Huh? Ash? You heard it too?
Misty: Yes. And we have a feeling that a ghost is haunting the Hundred Acre Wood.
Brock: And it might spring out and scare us any moment if we don't find it.
(All of a sudden, the "ghost" landed on Tigger, which scares Ash and his friends. However, as the dust clears, the "ghost" who was scaring everyone turned out to be...)
Pikachu: Pika?
Ash and his friends: Eeyore?!
Tigger: Hey Eeyore, what'cha doing out here acting all scary like?
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, you scared us to death.
Brock: We thought you were a ghost.
Eeyore: Learning to swing. Don't get a chance during the day. And I didn't mean to scare you and your friends, Ash.
Tigger: Oh, the poor guy.
Misty: Well, why didn't you say something when we were out swinging yesterday?
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, you could've just told us.
Brock: We're sorry.
Tigger: Ha ha ha! Well don't worry. I'll learn you to swing like a nightingale.
Misty: We can help too Tigger.
Brock: And you'll be a great swinger in no time Eeyore.
Eeyore: I can hardly wait.
The ghost hunt/Swing lesson attempt #1[edit | edit source]
(In another part of the forest Pooh Bear, Rabbit, Owl and Gopher were walking together in an attempt to catch the "ghost" that scared them with Pooh with his popgun, Rabbit with a butterfly net, Owl wearing a soldier's helmet, medals and carrying a broomstick and Gopher carrying a large mallet)
Gopher: Eh, what I wanna know is how we're supposed to catch a ghost.
Rabbit: Surprise! (Swings his net)
Pooh Bear: Why thank you, Rabbit. (Giggles) Is it my birthday again so soon?
Rabbit: No, no, no. We have to catch the ghost by surprise.
Gopher: I'll surprise him. He he he he he. With this (swings his mallet but falls down due to its weight)
Owl: (hoots) I say I do hate to bring this up, but before we confront the apparition, we do have to find him, don't we?
Rabbit: That's right. Unless he finds us first.
(the four huddle together in fright)
(back with Tigger, Eeyore, Ash and his friends...)
Tigger: Since you're having trouble holding on to the swing, this glue will hold the swing onto you. Ah hoo hoo hoo hoo!
Misty: I'm not sure that will work.
Tigger: Of course, it'll work, Misty! Hoo-Hoo!
Brock: But let's give it a try.
Ash Ketchum: Well, okay then. But I don't think this glue is sticky enough.
Tigger: Ah, don't worry, Ash. It's perfectly secure. Move aside, fellers!
(Tigger struggles to lift Eeyore onto the swing, until he finally gets him onto the glue covered swing)
Eeyore: I've got a sticky feeling about this.
Tigger: One, two, three, shove!
Eeyore: Yaaaooh! (crash lands leaving only his tail on the swing)
Ash Ketchum: Oops.
Brock: Well, that didn't work.
Tigger: Ha ha Ha. Worked on this end. Aha. Hey Eeyore. I know what the problem is.
Eeyore: Glad somebody does.
Tigger: It's not your swinging, it's your landings. Ha! Them I can fix.
Ash Ketchum: And I think we have just the thing.
The chase[edit | edit source]
(back in the scariest part of the woods...)
Piglet: I should be brave. At least brave enough to peek out and see something besides my feet. But suppose I peeked and did see something besides my feet. Pooh! (Piglet's shout for help echoes in the woods)
Pooh Bear: Did you hear that?
Rabbit: I-it's the g-g-g-ghost.
Pooh Bear: Now's your chance to surprise it, Rabbit.
Rabbit: Um, uh, uh... maybe we should just write it a letter?
Gopher: I got something special delivery for it. Follow me!
(the four friends went inside a large hollow log)
Pooh Bear: (v.o.) My the dark certainly is dark in here.
(on the other side of the log Piglet walked in and sounds a door opening and closing were heard inside the log then a crash was heard)
Piglet: (v.o.) Oh, excuse me.
Owl: (v.o.) Quite alright.
Piglet: (v.o.) Thank you
(at the moment Pooh Bear, Rabbit, Owl and Gopher realize they were talking to...)
Pooh Bear, Rabbit, Owl and Gopher: (v.o.) The ghost! (And they ran out of the end of the log where Piglet came in, while Piglet went out the other side)
Piglet: Pooh!
(the four friends ran up a tree and they stopped at the edge of a branch only to run into...
Pooh Bear, Rabbit, Owl and Gopher: The ghost!
Piglet: Where? Where?
(they crashed into the ghost and fell out of the tree
Piglet: Oh. D-d-dear! (while falling the pillowcase came off of him and they all landed into a small pond) Pooh Bear?
Pooh Bear: Why hello, Piglet. What were doing hiding inside of that ghost.
The ghost hunt continues/Eeyore swings successfully/Ending[edit | edit source]
(the five friends were all walking home, in the moonlight)
Piglet: Well you see, uh there was, uh and then...
Rabbit: Ha! I knew there were no such things as ghosts all the time.
Piglet: Oh but there is a ghost, Rabbit I heard it.
Pooh Bear: Yes, Piglet. And we heard you too.
Rabbit: Ha! Ghosts!
(then a creaking sound was)
Piglet: Look there it is!
Gopher: Well, looks like we're gonna investigate after all.
(back the swing...)
Misty: There you go, Eeyore. This glider and parachute we all made for you should help you land safely.
Tigger: (to Eeyore) Hmmm, you what you oughta have?
Eeyore: My stuffing examined.
Ash Ketchum: No, Eeyore. You need something else to protect you.
Tigger: (puts a bucket on Eeyore's head) Yeah. Ha ha ha. A head protectorizer.
Brock: And this bucket makes a great helmet for you.
Eeyore: Wonderful.
Tigger: (paints a face with eyes and a smile) There. Now you can know which way front.
Ash Ketchum: Okay, Tigger. All systems are go.
Pikachu: Pika!
Tigger: (to Eeyore) Hold on to your hooves! (runs off to another hill to make a running start to the swing) Ready?
Eeyore: No, but go ahead anyway.
