The Wishing Bear/Transcript

From Pooh’s Adventures Wiki

This is the transcript for the Ash Ketchum and The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh episode, The Wishing Bear

Opening[edit | edit source]

(One winter's night in the Hundred Acre Wood, Pooh Bear and Christopher Robin were looking up at the stars and the biggest star of all was twinkling)

Pooh Bear: Christopher Robin, is that twinkly one really your very own wishing star? Really?

Christopher Robin: Oh yes, Pooh. Would you like to wish for something?

Pooh Bear: Oh very, very much.

Christopher Robin: Then you have to say the special wishing rhyme.

Pooh Bear: But I don't know the special wishing rhyme.

Christopher Robin: Silly old bear. That's because I haven't told you yet.

Pooh tells Tigger and Piglet about the wishing star[edit | edit source]

(Elsewhere, Piglet is struggling to roll a big snowball up a hill, but it is too heavy for him to push it even further up.)

Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear! (gets pushed down by the snowball)

Pooh Bear: Um, hop like a bunny. Uh, dig like a,.. Uh, no that's not it.

Misty: We're sure you'll get it, Pooh.

Piglet: Yaaahhh!!! (comes rolling down the hill on a big snowball) Eeeee!!!

Ash Ketchum: Whoa! Look out!

Brock: Run away!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

(Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock run out of the snowball's way.)

Pooh Bear: Oh! Yaaaahh-eeeee!!!! (gets rolled over by the snowball and it crashes into a tree)

Piglet: Hello, Pooh Bear. I'm building my very own snowman. All by myself.

Rabbit vs the Bugs[edit | edit source]

(At Rabbit's house, Rabbit is humming to himself while cooking some vegetable soup)

Rabbit: I just love vegetable soup.

(Outside the leader of the bugs watch Rabbit as he holds up a bunch of carrots)

Bug leader: Oh boy. (Other bugs follow and they open the window) Carrots.

(They dash on in and eat up the carrots)

Rabbit: Hey! (Throws the bugs off his carrots only to find them eaten) Try to steal my vegetables, will you?! (Grabs a skillet to swat them)

Bugs: Yaaah! (They run away before the skillet could hit them and head out the door)

Rabbit: And don't come back, you...

Bugs: (hum "Charge" as they grab a hoe to try to give Rabbit a taste of his own medicine)

Rabbit: Oh my. Oh my!

(Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock continue walking while Pooh is still trying to remember the Wishing Rhyme)

Pooh Bear: Flap like an armadillo. No. Flap like a pig. No.

Rabbit: (o.c.) Back! Back!

Pooh Bear: My goodness!

Ash Ketchum: Rabbit?!

(They see Rabbit fighting the bugs with his skillet in the style of a sword fight)

Tigger: (o.c.) Oh no! Bunny Boy's outnumbered a gillion to one!

Brock: Those bugs just won't give up!

Tigger: What'll we do?

Piglet: Uh uh perhaps I should uh... build a snowman? (Walks off to build a snowman)

Misty: Piglet now's not the time to... (feels the ground rumble) Uh-oh. Not again.

(Rabbit continues fighting the bugs until he feels the ground rumble)

Rabbit What now?!

Ash Ketchum: Heads up, Rabbit!

Piglet: Yaaah! (rolls downhill in the big snowball for his attempt at building a snowman)

Bug Leader: Retreat! (he and the other bugs drop the hoe and run away as the snowball rolls into Rabbit's house leaving it a mess with snow everywhere)

Brock: Whoa! That's quite an avalanche!

Misty: Are you guys, okay?

Tigger: Well Rabbit, ha-ha, I guess Piglet got rid of those buggy boys.

Rabbit: Yes, he certainly did that. But they'll be back. I wish there was someway to keep them out of my house for good!

Helping Pooh remember[edit | edit source]

(Pooh Bear was eating lots of honey from pots when the camera goes to under the table)

Rabbit: Oh getting your memory back is like losing the hiccups. You just have to scare the person. (puts on a paper bag with a scary face painted on it gets out from under the table to scare Pooh Bear) Raaaar!

Pooh Bear: (gets scared by Rabbit's paper bag mask and tumbles backwards and into a bookshelf) Oh bother.

Rabbit: Quickly Pooh. What do you remember?

Pooh Bear: Well, I remember that your house used to be a lot cleaner then this.

Misty: Well that didn't work.

"When You Wish Upon a Star"/Ending[edit | edit source]

Pooh Bear: (falls from the branch as it rips off part of the costume) Whoops!

Christopher Robin: (catches Pooh) Gotcha!

Ash and his friends: (giggle)

Pikachu: Pikachu.

Christopher Robin: Why, Pooh! My wish came true!

Pooh Bear: But how can that be? The wishing star's been used up?

Brock: (v.o) What do you mean "used up"?

Ash Ketchum: (v.o) Yeah, what are you talking about, Pooh?

(But during the conversation, Rabbit, Tigger, and Piglet arrive. They were stunned to see that Pooh is still on the ground and not in the sky.)

Pooh Bear: Guys, I tried to make a wish on the wishing star after my friends made their wishes, but I wished too hard. (to Christopher Robin) Christopher Robin, after wishing the star too hard, I wore him out and he...fell. (points up to the sky) See?

Christopher Robin: Silly old bear. Look!

(The sky reveals that the star is still in the sky all along.)

Tigger, Rabbit and Piglet: (gasps) Oooohhh....

Pooh Bear: You mean the wishing star was there all the time?

Ash Ketchum: Why, of course it was there, Pooh.

Pooh Bear: But I'm sure I saw it fell out of the sky the minute I wore it out. Really, I did.

Misty: Oh, Pooh, you silly, little thing. I think what you saw last night was a comet.

Pooh Bear: A comet?

Tigger, Rabbit and Piglet: (confused) Huh?!

Brock: In other words, a shooting star.

Pooh Bear: So, that wasn't the wishing star that fell out of the sky?

Misty: Of course not, Pooh. You might have mistaken the comet as the wishing star falling out of the sky when it was actually blocked by the clouds.

Ash Ketchum: Yeah! So, that had nothing to do with the wishing star.

Tigger, Rabbit and Piglet: (dumbfounded) Oh...

Pooh Bear: Oh, bother. I thought I could be a wishing star after it fell out of the sky, but it turns out that I jumped to conclusions yet again.

Brock: Oh, there, there, Pooh, it's not your fault. You just didn't understand what was going on.

Christopher Robin: But all your friends' wishes came true, didn't they?

Misty: Yeah, didn't they?

Pooh Bear: Yes, but I thought I did them.

Ash Ketchum: Maybe with a little bit of help from the wishing star? (chuckles)

Pikachu: (chuckles) Pika, Pikachu...

Pooh Bear: Stars certainly are smart!

Ash and his friends: (laugh heartedly)

Christopher Robin: Let's go home, Pooh. Maybe your honey pot you wished last night is full again?

Pooh Bear: In a moment. (giggles) I want to thank the wishing star. He made my important wish come true.

Ash Ketchum: Oh? What is it?

Misty & Brock: Yeah, what is it?

Pikachu: Pika?

Christopher Robin: What wish is that?

Pooh Bear: (hugs Christopher Robin) You.

Ash and his friends: Aww...

Tigger, Rabbit and Piglet: Aww...

(The star glimmers down upon them. The moment then becomes tender as the group begins singing a familiar song.)

Misty: (singing) When you wish upon a star

Makes no difference who you are

Anything your heart desires will come to you

Brock: (singing) If your heart is in your dream

Ash Ketchum: (singing) No request is too extreme

Ash, Misty, and Brock: (singing) When you wish upon a star

As dreamers do

(As they sing, Rabbit, Tigger, and Piglet become tearful at how heartwarming the moment was. So, their decide to join in.)

Christopher Robin: (singing) Fate is kind

She brings to those who love

The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing

Pooh Bear: (singing) Like a bolt out of the blue

Fate steps in and sees you through.

Pooh, Ash, Christopher Robin, and everyone: (singing) When you wish upon a star

Your dreams come true

(They all stare up at the star as it continues shining down. The screen then says, "May your wishes and dreams come true.")

The End!
