Editing Stay Out of the Basement/Transcript

< [[Pooh's Adventures of Goosebumps]]

(The episode starts at a house)

Girl: I wish you weren’t going.

Mom: I know. But your aunt Eleanor is sick, honey. She needs me.

Girl: I know. But-

Mom: I’ll be back as soon as i can.

Girl: I know but I’m worried about dad he’s been acting so strange.

Mom: He’s under a lot pressure, Margaret.

Margaret: But she never has time for me anymore. He’s even stopped calling me Princess. 

Mom: I thought you hated that name.

Boy: I bought a card for Aunt Eleanor.

Mom: That’s nice, Casey.

Margaret: Dad is always down in the basement. Ever since he lost his job.

Winnie the Pooh: Hello. Is anybody here?

Margaret: Hello what’s your name?

Winnie the Pooh: This is Tigger, Piglet and Rabbit. Ash, pikachu, Misty, Togepi, Brock, tai, 





Margaret: Dad? (Pounds on the door) He never heard us.

Pikachu: Pika?

(Then a man came through the door)

Dr. Brewer: (shouting) Stay out of the basement!

Winnie the Pooh: (scared) Begging your humble pardon, Dr. Brewer.

Shaggy: Zoinks! We're busted!

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, busted!

(They come up stairs)

Dr. Brewer: Look kids I’m sorry I raised my voice. I just don’t want you down in the basement.














(Later a video game was played by Casey, then there was a noise and Margaret jumped)

Danny: What was that?











(Then a car horn honked it was Mr. Brewer)

Shaggy Rogers: Sounds like a car. 

Fred Jones: And it's definitely not the Mystery Machine. 

Squidward: It’s Dr. Brewer!

Margaret and Casey: Dad!

Zazu: Dr. Brewer is going to be as mad as a hippo with a hernia!

Pikachu: Pika!

Spongebob and Patrick: Uh-oh!

Sandy Cheeks: Let’s get out of here.

(They head upstairs and made it then Casey realize something)

Casey: My sweater. It’s in the basement.

Margaret: Casey!

Casey: I got to get it. Dad will know we’ve been down there. (Goes to the basement)

Ash Ketchum: I'll go with you.

Margaret: Hi Dad. Did Mom make her plane?

(He goes to the light switch and turns the light on)

Dr. Brewer: Yes.

Shaggy: Like that’s good.

Dr. Brewer: Did you go in the basement?

(The next morning, a flower was placed on a vase, Margaret, Velma, Daphne and Brock were making breakfast, as Casey and the others came in)

Tigger: Good morning.

Margaret: Good morning, guys.

Casey: Yum.

Ash Ketchum: Wow! I'm starved!  

Margaret: Don’t you dare. That’s for Dad. 

Tigger: Fiddlesticks.

Ash Ketchum: Aw, man.

Velma: Relax, you guys, there’s more in the pan.

Tigger: Really? You don’t say.

Piglet: Oh, good.

Brock: Help yourselves.

(Margaret velma Daphne and Brock go to the basement door and knocks)

Margaret: Dad breakfast is ready.

Brock: (Frederick Little’s voice) Get it while it’s hot.

(No noise as Margaret knocks again)

Margaret: Dad. Breakfast (No answer as Margaret sighs)

(Later Dr. Brewer’s breakfast is still there as Casey Margaret and the heroes are in the living room)

Casey: You want to go outside and play catch?

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu and I can.

Shaggy Rogers: Scooby and I too.

Casey: Cool. What do you say Margaret?

(Margaret didn’t reply)

Casey: You know how dad is when he’s working.

Margaret: Yeah weird.

Casey: He’s not weird. It’s just that his work is important than breakfast that’s all. He’ll eat it when he’s ready. See I told you.

(Suddenly Dr brewer heads into the kitchen)

Casey: Well I’m going outside to play.

Dr Brewer: Not hungry.

(Dr. Brewer heads back to the basement, as he head into the basement Margaret heads to the cupboard and reads the container and to her shock)

Margaret: Plant food?

(Later Margaret was on the phone)

Margaret: Mom I swear I saw him eating.

Casey: Hey dad. What’s with the cap? I thought you hated baseball.

(Pikachu begins sniffing)

Margaret: I saw you last night. In the bathroom.

Dr. Brewer: Were you spying on me? 

Margaret: Dad why were leaves growing out of your head?

Dr. Brewer: Go on eat.

Casey: Um what is this?

Dr. Brewer: It’s my special recipe.

Tigger: Yuck!

Ash Ketchum: I think I lost my appetite!

Shaggy: Like, we'll pass, Dr. Brewer.

Scooby-Doo: Uh-huh.

Dr. Brewer: Don’t be silly. It’s gonna be good. Eat it.

(Suddenly a plant comes towards Casey and grabs him)

Casey: Help. Guys! Help!

Ash Ketchum: Bulbasaur, I choose you! Razor Leaf!

(Bulbasaur shoots razor leaf to cut the plant and Casey is released.)

Genie: Ash, you little genius .

Ash Ketchum: Well it helps when you have great Pokémon.

Spongebob: Are you okay, buddy?

(Then Dr. Brewer put his hand on Margaret’s shoulder)

Dr. Brewer: What are you doing?

Tigger: I think we're in big trouble.

Genie: Yeah, (chuckles) Oops.

Casey: That plant tried to choke me.

Ash Ketchum: We weren't doing anything, Dr. Brewer.

(Dr. Brewer looks and picks it up)

Dr. Brewer: You shouldn’t been near the window.

Margaret: Well Casey heard a fight in the basement.

Dr. Brewer: There was no fight.

Casey: But I heard it.

Dr. Brewer: I’m telling you there was no fight!

Sandy: Where's Dr. Merrick?

Margaret: Yeah where is he?

Dr. Brewer: He just left.

Margaret: I didn’t see him leave.

Spongebob: Yeah. He still must be inside.

(Dr. Brewer looks at Margaret)

Dr. Brewer: Are you interrogating me, Margaret?

Margaret: No.

Dr. Brewer: (To Casey) Now you tell me, what were you doing next to the basement window?

Casey: I was playing like you told us too.

Patrick Star: Yeah, there's no need to be mad, Dr. Brewer.

Pikachu: Pika Pika. 

Ash Ketchum: Are you calling us liars?!

Misty: Yeah, we saw everything!

Petrie: Me so scared of Dr. Brewer. He's cranky.

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, why's Dr. Brewer in a bad mood?

Shaggy: He's not in a bad mood, Scoob. I think he's a monster inside.

Velma: Oh Shaggy, will you please quit it with that?







Sawyer: Dr. Brewer, we had just about enough of your controlling attitude.

Pikachu: (angrily) Pika! (sparks sputter from his cheeks)

Danny: Sawyer's right, Dr. Brewer! This has gone far enough!

(They took off the covers and sees lots of worms which grosses everyone)

Margaret: Gross.

Tigger: Yuck!

Misty: Worms on the bed! Gross!

Daphne Blake: Too gross.

Shaggy: Like, this has gone too far!

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, too far!

Margaret: You're right, Shaggy. We have to get to the bottom of this. We have to know the truth and I have a feeling the truth is in the basement.

Rabbit: This madness must end!

(They head to the shed)



Dr. Brewer: Kids, it's so good to see you.

Tigger: Say, you're Casey and Margaret's father?

Dr. Brewer: Yep.



Zazu: A plant copy?!

Velma: Jinkies! Who would've guess it?

Shaggy: I’m so confused.

(Margaret shoots the other Dr. Brewer and screams and disintegrates)

Shaggy: Like how did you know that was a plant copy?

Margaret: Well, Shaggy, our real dad was kept in the closet down in the basement at all times when this plant copy locked him up a few days ago. Plus, there's only one person who calls me princess. Our real dad.

Sawyer: Then that all makes sense.

Velma: (looks down at the remains of the plant copy and sighs) Well, thank goodness that's over.

Scooby-Doo: Scooby-Dooby-Doo!

(Dr. Brewer, Margaret, Casey and the heroes smile while Scooby winks and the camera fades to black.)

(A few days later Dr. Brewer and Dr. Merrick are removing all of the plants and brings them to the truck.)

Dr. Merrick: We can study at the university lab. Oh, by the way the board wants to know when you can come back full time.

Dr. Brewer: Well, as soon as I can get over all these side effects. Uh, listen, I appreciate everything you've done for me.

Dr. Merrick: And I appreciate you coming out of that closet.

Dr. Brewer: Well, you should thank Margaret, Casey, Pooh Bear, Ash, Littlefoot, Scooby, Danny and everyone else for that.

(The heroes smile warmly. Margaret goes up to her father and hugs him.)

Margaret: I still don't understand how the whole thing started.

Fred: Yeah, how exactly did all this happen, Dr. Brewer?

Dr. Brewer: Well, Fred, it was an accident. I've cut my hand on the slide and some of my blood mixed them with some blood molcules.

Genie (uneasy): Eww.

Zazu: Oh, my goodness gracious! 

Dr. Brewer: Yep, and I ended up with something was part plant and part human.

Velma Dinkley: (amazed) Jinkies! So that's all it happened! 

Dr. Brewer: Yes, that's right, Velma.

Mrs. Brewer: You'd never told me any of this.

Dr. Brewer: Yeah, I know. I should've. But I was wrapped in my work then I went too far. I created a plant that was an exact copy of me.

Margaret: Except that it was evil.

Dr. Brewer: Well, too us, yes. Like, most organisms that wanted to dominate the environment it overpowered me. And I think it wanted to make plant copies of us all.

Casey: Oh, man!

Mrs. Brewer: You know when Aunt Eleanor was getting better she asked me about you too and I said you both are growing like weeds. I never realized how close I was to the truth I almost was.

Dr. Merrick: Well, I'm just glad it was okay.

Mrs. Brewer: And all human.

Shaggy: For sure, Mrs. Brewer! (Laughs)

Dr. Merrick: (chuckles, to Dr. Brewer) Listen, I'll call you tomorrow, Dr. Brewer.

Dr. Brewer: (shakes hands) Thank you.

Dr. Merrick: Okay. Bye.

Greg: Bye, Dr. Merrick.

(Dr. Merrick drives away.)

Dr. Brewer: Now, listen anybody for lunch?

Anthony: Yeah! I love food.

Danny: What's for lunch, Dr. Brewer?

Dr. Brewer: I got a great mix salad and some garden vegetables.

(Margaret and Casey groan)

Sawyer: (chuckles) After all that with the plant copy, I don't think I can even look at a salad again!

Dr. Brewer: No, no, I'm only kidding, Sawyer. Hamburgers for everybody!

Tigger: Oh, boy! Hoo-hoo!

Mr. Krabs: Now, we're talkin' (chuckles) SpongeBob, me boy, care to give Dr. Brewer a hand?

SpongeBob: (pulls out his spatula) Aye-aye, Mr. Krabs!

Shaggy: Like, groovy, hamburgers our favorite!

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, our favorite!

Fred: (laughs) Well, come on, gang! Let's go eat!

Dr. Brewer: Fred's right, Let's go, let's go!

Margaret: I'll be right there.

Anthony: (As he and the others go inside) I love hamburgers!

(Margaret ties her shoe just then a flower starts to talk to her.)

Flower 1; (whispers) Psst! Margaret. Margaret, help me. (Margaret felt shocked) Please, help me. I'm your father. I'm your real father.

Flower 2: No, I'm your father.

Flower 3: No, I'm your father.

(Margaret gets really scared as the flowers continue arguing.)
