== Magna Defender reveals the Truth to Shadow ==
(Scene: Bandora Palace)

* Lord Zedd: Bowser, my lord and master, come here. We seem to have hit a snag in your plan.
* Bowser: What's going on?
* Lord Zedd: Your former hedgehog flunky is onto you.
* Bowser: He's helping the Magna Defender get to Zordon!
* Lord Zedd: Now, no evil plan is safe from that fur ball. We have to get rid of him. Send down the Tengas!
* Shadow: This way. Come on. (Tengas appear) Tengas! Stay here! (sees one) Huh? Oh, no!
* Magna Defender: Shadow!
* Shadow: Chaos Spear!
* Tengas: (all get destroyed)
* Magna Defender: You're weak, Shadow. How could you defend me after all I've done to you and the Rebels? Always fighting for good...it's futile. Maria was just the same way.
* Shadow: Huh? You know Maria?
* Magna Defender: Yes. I know Maria well. It started after the Legendary Battle. (flashback) When Treacheron took Zika and blasted me away I fell into a deep crevice. But I was teleported to G.U.N. Laboratory in the year 1974. There I lay stranded in the med bay. I thought I would never get out. Then, one day, I was visited by Professor Gerald Robotnik and his granddaughter, Maria. He told me about Project Shadow and vowed to help me get home to Mirinoi. I agreed to help on the condition that I get back to my time to a revived Zordon. Then we learned about you Shadow, the Ultimate Life form. After that, we successfully found a way back to Mirinoi in my time until...(gunshot) G.U.N. invaded. I helped the professor escape by holding off G.U.N's forces. I was damaged but I managed to escape. But when I got you three, it was too late.
(Shadow and Robotnik gets carried away)
* Magna Defender: When I found her, I healed her wounds. We were both still weak. So, we both made a plan.
* '''Maria:''' Since you helped me, I'll help you. If we join as one we can both be free and we can help save the world together.
* Magna Defender: It was my only chance. I stole Maria's spirit by switching life forces with her. Then I made my escape.
* G.U.N. Agent: There he is! Get him!

(a flash of lights bursts out of G.U.N. Labs and landed outside of Angel Grove in 2024)

* Magna Defender: Finally, back at the future! (walks away)

(flashback ends)

* Shadow: I don't understand.
* Magna Defender: I needed her strength. I had to get out to destroy Dark Specter any way I could.
* '''Shadow:''' Maria... she's alive?
* Magna Defender: Very much alive-- inside of me. She weighs heavy on my heart when I feel hatred taking control. Her goodness is tearing me apart.
* '''Shadow:''' Maria?
* Magna Defender: Maria will be lost forever unless you destroy me.
* '''Shadow:''' What?

(fades to commercial break)

(we return to see a field of flowers)

* Magna Defender: Go on, do it. Put us both out of our pain.
* Shadow: Destroy you?    
* Magna Defender: It's the only way to free Maria. Here. I'll make it easy for you. (draws his sword) You can call it self-defense.
* Shadow: No. I won't do it.
* Magna Defender: What's the matter with you? Don't you want to see Maria again?    
* Shadow: More than anything but not this way. When I was chosen by Zordon, I promised him to use my powers to defend all of Earth from evil. You're not evil. I won't destroy you. Neither would the Rangers, the Rebels, or Maria. If you are truly good, you let Maria out yourself. (leaves)
* Magna Defender: I used to have honor like him.

(flashback to Magna Defender's home planet)

* Zika: Father!    
* Magna Defender: Your mother wanted you to have this. (hands over the dagger)
* Zika: Thank you, Father. I'll keep it forever. When I grow up, I want to fight for good, just like you.    
* Magna Defender: That's my little warrior. (laughs)  

(We see Scorpius's attack Zika)

* Magna Defender: Zika, no! (end of flashback) My son.
