*Joe Yaroch (aka ToonJoey34) originally planned to make a separate Winnie the Pooh crossover with ''An Extremely Goofy Movie'', but it was learned that he retired from making anymore Pooh's Adventures films, so Daniel Esposito (who made ''[[Pooh's Adventures of A Goofy Movie]]'') will make the film as a Winnie the Pooh/Pokémon mixed crossover instead.
*Yru17 originally planned to re-edit a separate Land Before Time crossover with ''An Extremely Goofy Movie'', but he retired from re-editing anymore crossovers, so Daniel Esposito will guest star Littlefoot and his friends in this film instead.
*Unlike the first movie where it was friendly and comical, the sequel took a more dark, serious and mature approach in storytelling, despite the original film being G-rated. This is because of how the main villains are portrayed, how much danger the characters are facing, and how much sadness and pain everyone is experiencing. The movie even focused on the subject of death. Since it is revealed that prior to the first and second films, Max's mother had passed away from a terrible illness after being sent to the hospital. In the film's climax, Goofy narrowly escaped three near-death experiences caused by Bowser: was nearly poisoned to death when Bowser put liquidized rat poison in his soda, was nearly fallen from a great height to his demise on the rock-climbing mountain when Bowser tried to throw him off and was nearly strangled to death by Bowser in an attempt to bribe Max into joining his side. However, all three near-death experiences were thwarted by Max at the same time.
*In this film, Ash and Serena, despite some tensions and conflicts in the film, realized they’ve developed feelings for each other and became a couple at the end of the movie.
*Max, P.J., and Bobby learn about Goofy's past life as the Captain of the Royal Knights in the ''Kingdom Hearts'' series. They also learn about Goofy's worst enemy, Bowser, and his followers from our heroes in this film.
*Despite Bradley Uppercrust being the main antagonist in the original film, Bowser is the overarching main antagonist of the Winnie the Pooh/Pokémon crossovers of the ''Goofy Movie series''. Max Goof's experience with his rival/archenemy, Bradley Uppercrust, and his father's archenemy, Bowser, serves as a lesson to him. For if he hadn't allowed Goofy to come back into his life nor gotten over his judgmental behavior towards him near the end of the movie, he would've ended up like becoming just like Bradley and Bowser themselves whilst his father would've been dead by now.
