He is the middle and only male child of his family. He was named after the street on which the show's creator Chris Savino's childhood home was located.

Biography edit

At 12-years-old (11-years-old before Season 6), Lincoln is both the middle child and the only son of the Loud family, as well as the sixth oldest. He attends the 6th grade at Royal Woods Middle School, having previously attended the 5th grade at Royal Woods Elementary School.

In "Time Trap!", Lincoln and his siblings altered history, causing their parents to decide not to have any kids in the future. As a result, Lincoln got deleted out of existence, although he returned when Lisa and Lily prevented this timeline alteration.

Early Life edit

Lincoln was born in the limousine of the President of the United States. After Vanzilla broke down, the President's limo picked up the Loud parents on the way to the delivery room. When in the limo, Rita ended up going into labor unable to arrive at the hospital on time, so the President tried to deliver Lincoln but fainted. Lincoln was delivered by the First Lady of the United States.

As a baby, he once got into Rita's make up. Lori fed him his very first ice cream when he was around one years old. At age one, Lincoln often refused to wear his diaper (pants) and stripped it off. Around age two, his father, Lynn Sr. took an embarrassing photo of Lincoln while potty-training him. Around ages two and three, Lincoln took a bath with Lynn who was around four and five years old at the time.

At age three, Lincoln became a big brother, when his sister Lucy was born. Lincoln once wore a Blarney suit for a whole week.

At some point in his toddlerhood, Lincoln chipped his front tooth. He went on his first mechanical pony ride with Luan and Lucy when he was around four years old. Around this time Lincoln owned a tricycle.

When Lincoln was five years old, he dressed as Ace Savvy for Halloween. While trying to catch up to his older sister Lynn, he accidentally ran into Clyde who was dressed as One-Eyed Jack, giving him a nosebleed in the process. After offering his cape, the two became best friends.

Lincoln celebrated his sixth birthday at the bowling alley, his fingers got stuck in the ball's holes and he ended up flying down the lane with it, knocking all the pins down in the process. Around age six, Lincoln and his friend Clyde made a secret hideout in a cave at Tall Timber park.

On Lincoln's seventh birthday, he had a magician themed party. When he pulled the rabbit out of the magician's hat, he got startled and screamed, the rabbit got chased by Charles and they ran into the table which sent Lincoln's birthday cake flying into his face.

Lincoln became the current middle child when Lily was born.

Lincoln has had broken back teeth about since he was 5 years old.

Lincoln often speaks to the viewers about how he gets around his often-chaotic household, the insane antics of his ten sisters, and other things he's doing, and it makes him break the fourth wall. He possesses a habit of reading comics, manga, and novels in his underwear.

Personality edit

Lincoln is a good-hearted, well-meaning and accident-prone person, who is always looking for fun, and thinking about the well being of others. As the family nerd, along with Lisa, Lincoln is an avid fancier of comic books, manga, video games, fantasy and science fiction stories, which are typical interests for a boy his age. His favorite comic superheroes are Ace Savvy and One-Eyed Jack, whom he and Clyde often dress as when working to solve mysteries. His favorite music band is SMOOCH, as seen in "For Bros About to Rock" and "Yes Man".

He is known to be "the man with a plan", as he is usually elaborating plans with a specific objective, most of them for his own benefits. His plans rarely succeed because of his own selfish and reckless decisions or by his sisters' interference. When he goes too far, he will always find the solution even if that means making himself look like a fool, as seen in "Making the Case" and in "Sleuth or Consequences".

Lincoln's best friends and former classmates are Clyde, Liam, Rusty, Zach, Stella, and Ronnie Anne. Sometimes, he tries to hang out with other kids, but the rest of his social life has not really been explored and it's been revealed that when he tries to make new friends they're always being mean to him, as seen in "Save the Date" and "Hand-Me-Downer".

He's a very individual person with limited experience of teamwork in contrast to his sisters who cooperate as roommates, which was shown in "It's a Loud, Loud, Loud, Loud, House".

He missed out of fun with his sisters, as shown in "A Novel Idea", "Raw Deal", "No Such Luck", and "Kings of the Con", but almost with his friends in "Yes Man" due to his sisters set up the SMOOCH's VIB concert for him to experience in front of his house by convincing the real SMOOCH to show up and his friends to attend as an apology for taking advantage of his selflessness.

Most of the time, Lincoln is clumsy, quiet and relaxed, but sometimes he is forgetful and gets upset when he is annoyed, or when something goes wrong. He has proved to be very patient (especially with his sisters) and also hates that others think he's bad luck. His greatest fear is the family falling apart, as shown in "Butterfly Effect", along with being hated by his sisters, as shown in "Making the Case" and "No Such Luck".

Something that Lincoln has shown is that he is a multi-faceted person and doesn't have a distinct personality. Thanks to a life of living with ten sisters, each with a different personality, he is adapted to them, so he can communicate with any of them, and help them with their activities without a problem. Living in a female dominated family caused him to develop typically feminine traits, like kindness, sensitivity, cooking, beauty pageant knowledge, and sewing skills.

He acts as the "Jack of All Trades" to all of his sisters. He is not as good as his sisters in what they do, but he is competent enough to impress and help them in what they are doing: such as helping Lucy write her poems, being one step ahead of Luan in her pranks, preventing Lisa's experiment from exploding by adding a chemical, assisting Leni with her fashion designing, and catching Lynn's football in "Project Loud House". He is also quite good at playing the cello, as he was the only one Luna complemented when she pressured the siblings into playing their instruments well in "House Music".

Like his sisters, he often watches the in-universe reality show The Dream Boat, though in the episode "Roughin' It", he pretends to dislike it when he feels he has lost his manliness from growing up with sisters. In the end he rejoins his sisters in watching The Dream Boat after he got his manliness back and learns not to worry about what's manly, girly, or any of that junk.

Lincoln feels overshadowed by his sisters, as shown in "Making the Case", "Kings of the Con" and "The Loud House Movie" because he was different and has nothing to show while his ten sisters are all beloved and being more successful than him because of some sort of achievement or accomplishment.

The episode "Study Muffin" showed that he's a responsible student, has good grades, and doesn't really need a tutor, unlike Lynn, Lucy, Lana, and Lola. This makes him the second smartest of the Loud siblings, after Lisa.

In the episode "No Such Luck", Lincoln finds himself with unexpected free time after his family thinks that he is bad luck and bans him from attending their activities, for which he is not unlucky because he's just clumsy and accident-prone.

Lincoln is incredibly calm, as in the episode "Not a Loud", he wasn't panicking about the possibility of being adopted. He was also calm when he was telling his parents about the clues that made him believe he's adopted. In spite of this, "The Loud House Movie" reveals that he is deeply insecure over feeling as though he is stuck in his sisters' shadow, but following his adventure in Loch Loud, comes to terms with his place in his family as the one who takes care of them, with his sisters reassuring him of their appreciation.

As of the fifth season, Lincoln now attends Royal Woods Middle School, where he is a student in Mr. Bolhofner's class (due to Principal Ramirez doesn't work out for him to assigned to Mrs. Salter's class with his friends because there's no room left). Starting in "Kernel of Truth", he and his friends now run the school's morning news show. He also now has special talents of his magic shows and the Action News, like his sisters and his best friend Clyde already had. He didn’t get Christmas at once in "Season's Cheatings" due to him sacrifice his Rip Hardcore backpack to Chandler for Lola's gift and his plans were ruined completely, but he gets a rolled up paper with a gift from Lily to make it up to him for not getting his new backpack for Christmas, revealing it to be a finger-painting she made of herself giving Lincoln his backpack.

Biography edit

Lincoln is 11 (later 12) years old and the only boy in the Loud family. He is an avid fancier of comic books and manga, which he often enjoys reading in his underwear. He also enjoys video games, sci-fi movies, and coin collecting. Lincoln often speaks to the viewer (sometimes referring as Meta-Reference) about how he gets around his often-chaotic household and the antics of his ten sisters.

While Lincoln can occasionally be selfish and manipulative, he usually is quick to realize when he has done wrong and find ways to make up for it. He is, on the whole, a very nice boy who deeply loves his sisters in spite of their eccentricities and how often he clashes with them.

Often during the series, despite his relationship with his sisters, he particularly really love his three older sisters so much that they always truly loves him: Lori, Leni, and Luna. He is Leni and Luna's favorite brother and Lori really deeply loves him.

Appearance edit

Lincoln has fair skin, white hair with a flik on aside, with two little hairs sticking up on the other side., and has (3x3) red-brown freckles on both sides of the cheeks and a small chip on his front teeth, and he wears an orange short-sleeve shirt with blue jeans and white sneakers with three red stripes in the middle. Sometimes he wears a red and white striped shirt, blue trousers, and a belt.

White hair edit

Lincoln's white hair is a very unique feature that Lincoln has. He's the only one in the family with this hair color, as his sisters are either a brunette or a blonde (with the exception of Lucy, whose hair is black).

Leni is quite fond of Lincoln's white hair. She says it reminds her of their Pop-Pop and gets defensive if anybody mocks Lincoln for it, as shown in "Chore and Peace" and "Ties That Bind".

It is uncertain as to why Lincoln's hair is white. Chris Savino has confirmed it's not a result of albinism. However, one popular theory as to why it's white is because of the effects of stress. This, however, is false, as in "The Whole Picture" and "The Loud House Movie" it's shown that not only Lincoln has had white hair since he was a baby, but that it's also highly possible that it's genetic. Given that The Duke, his ancestral lookalike, was called out for having white hair in a time lacking hair dye by Lincoln himself and never corrected on this.

Rock outfit edit

When performing for concerts His face is white and his right eye has a black star, making him look like a member of the band KISS guitarist Paul Stanley His outfit consists of a black leotard, open at the chest, but it was ripped when Lincoln did splits for the grand finale, Thanks to Leni his costume is the same but with improvements it had a detachable top a broad, purple garter-belt around the waist with studs, rhinestones and chains

Trivia edit

  • Before "Net Gains" (although he is mentioned in that episode), Lincoln was the only character to appear in every single episode of the series.
    • "Good Sports"/"Geriantics" is the first episode where Lincoln is absent from both segments (if not counting the Casagrandes storyline).
    • Lincoln is, however, one of only two characters to appear in every full-length episode; the other is Lori.
  • Since he is the main character of the show, he appears on the title card for every episode.
    • This also applies to episodes that do not revolve around him ("House Music," "Back in Black," "Patching Things Up," "Pets Peeved" etc.), as well as episodes where he does not appear at all ("Net Gains", "Fandom Pains", "Missed Connection", and "The Write Stuff," to name a few).
    • The only exception to this tradition is with the Casagrande story arc that occurs during the first nine episodes of Season 4, where Ronnie Anne takes Lincoln's place of appearing on every title card.
  • The colors of Lincoln's shirt and pants, orange and blue, are complementary colors, which are colors directly opposite from the color wheel.
  • In Lincoln's room, there is a toy that looks like a green-headed dragon without arms. It resembles the monster King Ghidorah from the Godzilla franchise; although, King Ghidorah is golden in color.
  • There is another toy in Lincoln's room that resembles the Mazinger mech from the Mazinger franchise.
  • Lincoln is right-handed.
  • Lincoln often breaks the fourth wall to explain what he is doing, the progress he's on, and what he has learned in the beginning, middle, and/or end, respectively.
  • Besides being the only son in the family, Lincoln is the only one of the Loud family to not have a four-letter name, except for dubs where his siblings' first names are translated.
  • In some captions and translations for "One of the Boys," Lincoln's alter-ego "Linka" is translated to "Linda", probably out of auto-correction.
  • It is uncertain as to why Lincoln's hair is white. Chris Savino has confirmed it is not a result of albinism. It looks like he inherited it from Pop-Pop, however, Pop-Pop most likely has white hair because he's old. Also, in "The Whole Picture," it's shown that Lincoln's had white hair since he was a baby, suggesting that he was most likely born with white hair and it isn't a result of stress. Not even he and his family know why his hair is white. The Loud House Movie shows a paternal ancestor of Lincoln's who also had white hair, meaning he likely inherited it from his father's side.
  • Lincoln was named after the street Chris Savino grew up on, which was named E Lincoln Ave.
    • Before he was given his final name, Chris Savino said that Lincoln was either going to be named Luis, Leo, or Leon.
      • Leon would later be used as the name for Lily's genderbent counterpart.
    • Besides, Lincoln being in a family of ten sisters is a reference to the fact that Chris Savino comes from a family of ten children, five of whom were daughters. Savino's the ninth of ten children.
  • In "For Bros About to Rock," his first concert was the first concert that Luna did not ruin. She almost did when they were in line to get tickets, but she made up for it and gave him an unforgettable time.
  • Lincoln's ideal superpower is to have one of each.
  • Lincoln's stuffed rabbit, Bun-Bun, is modeled after his original design when the show was originally about a family of rabbits.
  • During production, Lincoln was the last of the Loud children to be named.
  • A lookalike of him appeared on a billboard in the Disney XD series Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
  • Lincoln seems to be a good teacher, as he used only a manual to teach Leni how to drive, Lana how to dance with a ribbon, Lily how to play chess and video games, and Lola how to read.
  • When Lincoln turns his head, the strands in his hair never turn with his head, instead they stay in the same spot.
  • According to an episode of the Nick Animation Podcast, before Lincoln was decided to be the middle child, there were versions where Lincoln was part of the elder siblings and another where he was part of the younger ones.
  • Lincoln tends to remind himself to think of shorter names for his operations.
  • Lincoln's winter gear resembles Charlie Brown's winter gear.
  • Lincoln is one of three siblings who caused a blackout; the other two are Leni and Luna.
  • Lincoln can understand Lily's babbling.
    • This means that Lincoln, Luan, and Lisa are the only ones who can understand Lily's babbling.
  • Lincoln may have chipped his front tooth around the time Lucy was born.
  • During his birthday, the trees had left leaves, and there was no snow. That suggests that Lincoln was most likely born during spring or summer.
  • Lori fed Lincoln his first ice cream when they were about seven and one respectively.
  • Lincoln is the second smartest sibling, after Lisa.
  • Lisa removed his appendix.
  • He gets nervous while meeting one of his idols for the first time.
  • Lincoln is the first character to change voice actors/actresses due to their voice actor hitting puberty.
    • At currently six voice actors, Lincoln has had the most English voice actors out of any character in the franchise.
    • Lincoln is not the first Nicktoons character not to have a consistent voice actor. Arnold Shortman from the Hey Arnold! franchise had to change voice actors six times for the same reason as Lincoln.
  • Between the time that Lynn and Lincoln were born, Luna was the middle child of the Loud family.
  • Lincoln was born in the limousine belonging to the President of the United States.
    • This may be why his name is Lincoln, as it was the name of former President of the United States Abraham Lincoln.
  • Lincoln appears to have three different designs as a baby:
    • The first is on the "Baby Steps" title card, where he has hair and is wearing footy pajamas (Chris Savino).
    • The second is in "The Whole Picture", where he has less hair, but still has the same footy pajamas (Jordan Rosato).
    • The third is in "Not a Loud", where he is wearing a onesie and a white beanie (Jordan Koch).
  • His parents think he always forgets to put the toilet seat up.
  • Lincoln has trouble with woodworking, which causes him to lose his eyesight, the feeling on his legs, and his ears start ringing.
  • He does not know that there are other types of wood and screwdrivers.
  • In "The Loudest Thanksgiving," it is revealed that Lincoln always falls asleep after eating turkey and misses dessert.
  • According to Listen Out Loud,[which episode?] Lincoln is 4'3" (129.54 cm) tall. However, according to "Ultimate Treehouse," he is 4'6" (137.16 cm) tall.
  • If Lincoln's second nightmare in "Predict Ability" is correct, he has blue eyes.
    • His live-action counterpart from A Loud House Christmas does have blue eyes.
  • He typically uses the bathroom at 7:03 AM.
  • He's scared of rope climbing.
  • He likes breakfast burritos with cheese and no potatoes.
  • His favorite Flippee flavor was once watermelon-lime, but was later apparently changed to cherry and blue bonanza, though it may be that he likes both types equally.
  • In "Be Stella My Heart," it is revealed that he prefers curly fries over regular fries.
  • Lincoln is typically slow to get ready, but if he has a plan, he might get ready quicker.
  • The videotapes seen in Luna and Luan's closet in "Making the Case" reveal that:
    • He once cried for three hours.
    • He has ruined Christmas once, Halloween once, and Arbor Day twice (ironically, he would nearly ruin Halloween again).
    • He broke his tailbone once.
  • Sometimes his sisters tell him to do bizarre things as a result of mishearing requests, but he can "speak sibling" to easily decipher what the original request was.
  • After refusing maple syrup on his pancakes by claiming that he is "syruped out", Lincoln was banned from Canada for three years, which matches up to his duration of middle school.
  • He is often suspicious of new neighbors, as with the Millers whom he and Clyde suspected were either supervillains, aliens, or ghosts. However, he was not suspicious of the Yateses.
  • Flippees help him think.
  • His butt has been numb every time he rides the school bus since kindergarten.
  • When he was one, he would occasionally refuse to wear pants.
  • He is the only Loud sibling whose entire first name isn't written on his Christmas stocking (his stocking reads "Linc").
  • Lincoln is the first animated character to be featured as the mystery celebrity on Nickelodeon's Unfiltered.
  • His favorite seat on the couch is at the end.
  • He dislikes sitting next to Lily, Luan, or Lynn in Vanzilla because they throw objects, pull pranks, and play rough games respectively.
    • Likewise, he dislikes sitting in front of Lori (because she gets carsick) or Lana (because she owns a peashooter).
  • Until ghosts were established to actually exist in "Ghosted!", Lincoln was the only Loud sibling to believe in them besides Lucy.
  • Lincoln's middle name is "Albert" after his grandfather.
  • He still occasionally plays with the fake rubber egg he made in "Shell Shock".
  • He has never tried pizza with any sort of poultry on it.
  • He writes an essay about Pop-Pop, titled 'My Hero', every year.
  • He has been exposed to chickenpox, but it's unknown if he caught it.
  • He and Clyde have come up with 2,000 different codes.
  • He once nearly got bitten by an iguana.
  • He and Clyde have a very complicated secret handshake that involves things such as spitting, wearing tutus, and high fiving (which often disgusts Ashley).
  • He owns a book titled Secret Ninja Stuff, which used to be a secret until his sisters found it.
  • So far it is unknown how Lincoln chipped his front tooth, although as seen in "The Whole Picture", he likely chipped when he was a toddler.
