Latias is a Dragon/Psychic-type legendary Pokémon. In the fifth movie, she became a close friend to Ash Ketchum and asked him to help her save her brother, Latios from Oakley and Annie. Ash soon came across to a totally different Latias who crash-landed into a lake after being knocked out by a recently blasted off Team Rocket in the sky. After he rescued her and tended her injuries, she became intrigued by Ash and started to follow him while observe his every move as a trainer during his journey.
