Gone with the Wind/Transcript

From Pooh’s Adventures Wiki

This is the transcript for the Ash Ketchum and The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh episode, Gone with the Wind.

Opening/Piglet is blown around by the wind[edit | edit source]

(The episode begins at our heroes' cabin. They are minding their own business watching television until they get startled by the sound of the wind hitting the window from outside.)

Pikachu: Pika?

Ash Ketchum: Wow! Look at all of that wind out there!

Misty: My goodness! It's atrocious!

Brock: Oh, I do hope none of our friends get blown around out there. Who knows where they'll end up?

Pikachu: Pika...

(Back at the Hundred Acre Wood, the wind is no better than it is at our heroes' cabin. Because it is blowing Piglet all over the place while holding onto his umbrella.)

Piglet: WHOA!!! (gets blown over to his house) Whoa! Eee! (grabs onto the doorknob, but it breaks off) Eee!!! (falls onto a bird's nest, but is flung off) Yaaahhh!! Oh, my g-g-g-goodness!

(He nearly hits a tree, but then the wind blows him to a different direction. We then cut to Pooh's house, where his window is open and inside, he's trying to close the window but is being blown backwards.)

Pooh: Ooh! What a blustery morning! It must be Windsday again. Oh, bother.

Piglet becomes too afraid to go outside[edit | edit source]

Pooh and his friends try to get Piglet to come outside[edit | edit source]

Rabbit: W-We'll just have to try another approach. A more underhanded one. Or should I say, "underground"?

(Later, we cut over to Gopher's home, where Pooh, Rabbit, and Tigger ask for Gopher's help in trying to get into Piglet's house to convince their friend that there's nothing to be scared of.)

Gopher: Now, remember, stick close to me. The thing in tunnel exhibition is losing your bearings.

Tigger: Uh, we don't want to lose our Tiggerings or Rabbitrings either.

Gopher: Enough lollygagging! Time to get to work! It's a long way to Tipperary.

Pooh Bear: Tipperary? But Piglet doesn't live in Tipperary.

(Above ground, the four friends are shown to be digging a tunnel. But things don't go as smoothly as they'd hoped as they take a wrong turn and slam into a huge rock.)

Gopher: Ah, need to make a right turn.

(They try again and continue digging the tunnel. But when they do make it to Piglet's house, they unfortunately ended up passing underneath the floorboards as Piglet watches from underneath his chair. By the time, they stop digging they end up directly under a small lake.)

Gopher: This is it! Directly under Piglet's house!

(Gopher inexplicably pokes a hole at the bottom of the lake and accidentally drains all of the water from below.)

Gopher, Pooh, Rabbit, and Tigger: (screaming as they are being washed away by the draining lake water into the tunnel)

(The lake stops draining and gurgles.)

The staying inside party[edit | edit source]

(At Pooh's house, Pooh, Rabbit and Tigger are drying up from the lake-in-the-tunnel incident. As Pooh's shirt is shown being hung outside the door to dry.)

Rabbit: Whatever we do next, I hope it's a little less...moist.

Pooh Bear: Well, since Piglet's not coming out, and we can't get him out, there's only one thing left to do.

Rabbit: Eh, you mean...?

Pooh Bear: Yes, Rabbit! We must give Piglet a staying inside party. It's like a going away party. (giggles) Only different.

(Later, we see Pooh and the gang having a party at Piglet's house. Pooh lights up a candle on a cake as if it was a birthday cake.)

Rabbit: Silly hat. (tries to get it to fit) Oh! Ouch!

Owl: Hoo! Yes, reminds me of my Great Uncle Waldo the homing pigeon, who mistook a closet for the front door. (laughs) Didn't find his way out for three years! (laughs)

Tigger: Wanna come out and join the fun, Piglet? (blows the noise maker under the chair)

Piglet: No especially.

Gopher: (sits on Piglet's chair) If you ask me, it sounds pretty silly missing your own party.

Pooh Bear: (cuts up a slice of the cake for Piglet) He's just being afraid. (whispers) It's the wind, you know. (puts the cake down) Piglet, make a wish.

Piglet: I wish I never had to come out of here again. (blows out the candle and quickly takes the cake)

Roo: Mama, if I hide under the chair, (giggles) can I eat cake all the time?

Kanga: No, dear. Oh, you'd have to have ice cream too.

Eeyore: Piglet was a good friend. Whenever he bothered to be around.

Tigger: Yeah. (sniffles) I'm gonna miss the little guy. (munches on the cake and swallows it)

Pooh Bear: Piglet, we have a gift for you to remember us by. It's a pinwheel. (gives Piglet the pinwheel)

Piglet: Oh, thank you, Pooh.

(Everyone leaves the house.)

Rabbit: Are you coming, Pooh?

Pooh Bear: (puts his party hat on Piglet's chair) Goodbye, Piglet. (leaves)

Piglet: (sniffles) G-Goodbye, everyone. (sniffles) Goodbye.

(Pooh closes the door and the room is completely empty.)

Ash and his friends talk to Piglet[edit | edit source]

(Some time after the party...)

Ash Ketchum: (o.c.) Piglet?

(We ultimately see Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu at Piglet's front door to his house, knocking.)

Ash Ketchum: Um,... Piglet? We kinda heard rumors about you being too afraid of going outside because of being blown around by the wind. And we cannot help but sympathize with you.

Misty: But is it okay if we come in and, maybe, talk to you?

Brock: Just to see if you're okay?

Piglet: (from inside) By yourselves?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, Piglet. All by ourselves.

(They open the door and enter Piglet's home.)

Misty: Piglet? Are you there?

Brock: You home?

Piglet: (peaks out from under his chair) If you're looking for me, I'm under here where I am safe from the wind. (hides back under the chair)

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) Oh. Of course. (he and his friends kneel over to Piglet's chair) How are you feeling, Piglet?

Pooh is blown around and Piglet saves the day/Ending[edit | edit source]

(The next day, Piglet is watching his friends having a picnic outside while holding the pinwheel Pooh gave him.)

Rabbit: (sighs as he and Tigger are playing on the swing) I remember when we used to push Piglet in this swing.

Tigger: (pushes Rabbit on the swing) Yeah, the little guy would be yelling so happy. (pushes Rabbit a bit harder) And then he'd go higher and higher and higher until he (pushes Rabbit even harder) just flew out.

Rabbit: (flies off the swing) Yaaahhh!!! (crashes somewhere)

Tigger: I wonder if he misses that.

Piglet: (sadly) I do...

(At sunset, we see our friends watching the sun going down.)

Tigger: (sighs) This sunset's really colorish.

Rabbit: Eh, too bad Piglet missed it.

Pooh Bear: Good night, Piglet.

Piglet: Good night, (sniffles) Pooh Bear...

(Later that same night, Ash and the gang are wondering if their conversation with Piglet was good enough to help their little friend.)

Ash Ketchum: Guys, I'm a bit worried about Piglet. Do you really think it will help him get over his fear of the wind? What if our conversation with him wasn't supportive enough?

Misty: Ash, don't worry. We've done things like this before.

Brock: Yeah, you need to have a little faith. I'm sure it'll help Piglet soon enough. Just give the little guy some time. It'll work out for him.

(Ash looks out the window in worry for little Piglet. Back in the Hundred Acre Wood, the wind got worse, and it continues to blow. It blows so harder that it started to uproot an old, dead tree.)

Piglet: The wind is worse than before. It's no use. The only safe place is under my chair. But I can't stop thinking about my conversation with Ash and his friends. What if they're right? What if I can conquer my fear of the wind? (turns around and notices something outside) Oh, dear! (to his surprise, he sees his best friend, Pooh Bear, struggling against the stormy wind) What's Pooh doing out in this terrible weather?

(The tree gets blown off the ground and is sent flying.)

Pooh Bear: Oh, (the tree catches him by the shirt) BOOOOTHEEERRR!!!

Piglet: Oh, no!

(Pooh's cry echoes so loud that Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu heard it from the cabin right when they were eating dinner.)

Ash, Misty, and Brock: (gasps in horror)

Pikachu: Pika?!

Ash Ketchum: Pooh?!

Misty: What's he doing out there?!

Brock: I don't know, but we gotta go get him! He could be stuck somewhere!

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, come on! Let's go!

Pikachu: Pika!

(Pooh tumbles around and the tree leaves him dangling over a cliff.)

Pooh Bear: (looks down and sees how high he's dangling) Oh, my goodness! (his shirt is ripping) Oh, my goodness goodness! (it rips completely and nearly falls) Whoops! (his scarf ties onto the tree)

Piglet: Pooh!!

(Ash and his friends arrive at the scene below the cliff.)

Misty: (gasps) Look! There he is!

Ash Ketchum: Pooh!

Brock: Pooh, hang on! We'll save you!

Pooh Bear: Sometimes, a scarf is a very useful thing to have. (tries to hold on as tightly as he can, but unfortunately his scarf begins to tear) Uh-oh!!!

Misty: (gasps) His scarf is tearing!

Ash Ketchum: Quickly, Brock! Get him something to land on!

Brock: I'm on it! (begins digging through his bag) I know I have a safety net in here somewhere!

Piglet: Oh, no! I'm coming, Pooh Bear! (rushes to the door and opens it) Hang on, Pooh! (the wind blows the pinwheel and carries Piglet into the air) Oohhh!!!

(Brock struggles to find a safety net.)

Brock: (grunts) Where is it? Where is it? Where is it?

Misty: Hey, guys, isn't that...Piglet?!

Ash Ketchum: Piglet? (looks up and sees Piglet; gasps) It is! And he's flying around with a...pinwheel?

Pikachu: Pika?

Brock: Ah-ha! I found it! Okay, each of you grab a corner of the net! We have to catch Pooh before he hits the ground!

(Above the ground, Pooh's scarf finally rips, and he begins falling.)

Piglet: Pooh! (flies down towards Pooh) Q-Q-Quick! T-T-Take my hand!

Pooh Bear: (takes Piglet's hand) Why, thank you, Piglet.

(But they're still falling despite the pinwheel bringing them down slowly. On the ground, our heroes are running towards Pooh and Piglet to catch them.)

Misty: Quick! Over this way!

Brock: No, that way!

Ash Ketchum: No, over here!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

(After a few struggles, they manage to pinpoint the landing spot for Pooh and Piglet. The two friends continue to fall slowly until the pinwheel breaks apart, they both land safely onto the net.)

Misty: Oh, dear! Are you guys okay?

Piglet: We're fine, Misty.

Ash Ketchum: Are you alright, Pooh?

Pooh Bear: Yes, Ash. I'm okay. (to Piglet) Well, Piglet, I was coming to save you from the wind. But you used the wind to save me.

Brock: Really? Is it true, Piglet?

Piglet: Why, yes. Yes, it is, Brock.

Misty: Oh, my goodness, Piglet, that was mighty brave of you.

Ash Ketchum: I'll say.

Pooh Bear: And it seems the wind's not telling you that you're scared anymore.

Piglet: Oh, that's true, Pooh.

Pooh Bear: (sees that Piglet's pinwheel is broken) Aww, but you're going-away present is ruined.

Piglet: (throws away the broken pinwheel and hugs Pooh) I don't need a going-away present anymore. Because I'm back, Pooh. I'm very back!

Pooh Bear: I'm glad, Piglet. I'm very glad.

Ash and his friends: (giggle)

Pikachu: Pikachu.

Ash Ketchum: Okay, now, let's get you two home.

Misty: You must be tired after everything that's happened tonight.

Pooh Bear and Piglet: Yes.

(They all walked home together while the wind is still blowing, but in a gentle breeze.)

The End!
