Ethan Bennett/Clayface I

Detective Ethan Bennett is the major supporting character of the animated series, The Batman. He has been a good friend of Bruce Wayne's since they were both kids. He is the detective in charge of capturing the Batman. He becomes the villain Clayface I after he inhales putty made by the Joker, though he redeems himself later on and gets cured back to his humanity for good.
