Ash: C'mon, Charizard! We gotta stop that wedding! Hurry up!

(Charizard roars)

Cornelius: 🎶 Let me be your wings, let me be your only love, let me take you far beyond the stars 🎵

Reverend: Uh, Mr. Mole, do you take this woman to be your lawful wedded wife?

Cornelius: 🎶 Let me be your wings, let me lift you high above, everything we're dreaming of will soon be ours 🎵

Mr. Mole: (clears throat) I do.

Cornelius: 🎶 Anything that you desire, anything at all! 🎵

Reverend: And, Thumbelina, do you take this mole to be your lawful wedded husband?

(Just as Thumbelina is going to respond, Ash and the gang burst through the church doors, taking everyone by surprise.)

Ash Ketchum: '''STOP RIGHT THERE!!!'''

(The guests gasp as Ash and his friends rush up to the alter.)

Thumbelina: Ash?

Mr. Mole: (in his thoughts) What?! I thought Mrs. Fieldmouse got rid of him!

Mrs. Fieldmouse: (quietly) What is he still doing here?!

(Ash and the gang reach the altar. They all stop to catch their breath as they appear from running in exhaustion.)

Thumbelina: Ash, what are you doing here? 

Mr. Mole: Really, son. It's very rude to drop in uninvited to a wedding like this.

Ash Ketchum: You keep your mouth shut and stay out of this, mole! (Charizard growls at him, making him frightened) Thumbelina, I have to speak to you.

Thumbelina: Oh, now you want to speak to me? Well, it's a little late for that. Well, if you'll excuse me.

Ash Ketchum: But you can't marry Mr. Mole! Not over a foolish lie about Cornelius's death!

(The guests gasp in fear)

Thumbelina: (pauses) W-What did you say?

Mrs. Fieldmouse: Ridiculous nonsense! Don't listen to him, Thumbelina, dearie. He's just- (Charizard growls viciously at her, warning her to back off)

Misty: You will be as quiet as possible, you mangy rodent! Or we'll have Charizard burn your fur off!

Brock: Now, sit... back... down... right now!

Pikachu: (frustratedly) Pikachu!

Mrs. Fieldmouse: (gulps hesitantly and reluctantly sits back down)

Queen Elsa: You were saying, Ash?

Ash Ketchum: Thumbelina, do you honestly believe that a handsome fairy prince like Cornelius would freeze to death and die this very instant? Especially after you'd met him a couple of weeks ago? I mean how do you know if anything Mrs. Fieldmouse said about his supposed demise was real? And look at Mr. Mole! Do you really love him? You barely even knew him! You can't just marry someone you just met and hardly knew! That's not how love works! (points at Mr. Mole) He is not your true love!

Thumbelina: But what do you know about true love?

Ash Ketchum: Because Cornelius is your true love. Not Mr. Mole, not Berkeley Beetle, and most likely not Grundel the Toad! Prince Cornelius is your one true love, Thumbelina, and you know it. You can't give up on him now. I know he's out there alive. You just have to believe in it. Remember the promise you both made on the night you met him? You promised never to forget him. And that's a promise you have to keep forever and not ever break. Because if you marry Mr. Mole, you'll end up breaking that promise. Think about it. What will Cornelius feel if you broke that promise right in front of him? What will he say?

(A flashback occurs.)

Thumbelina: (flashback) Do not forget me.

Cornelius: (flashback; gasps) Forget-me-knots! Oh, I'll never forget you. Never.

Thumbelina: (flashback) Never, never.

(The flashback ends.)

Ash Ketchum: Well?

(Thumbelina thinks it over and realizes that Ash is right.)

Thumbelina: He's right.

Reverend: What?!

Thumbelina: He's right!

Reverend: I beg your pardon?

Thumbelina: I cannot marry Mr. Mole.

(The guests gasp in alarm. Ash and the gang grin proudly at Thumbelina.)

Thumbelina: I don't love him! He's not my true love!

Mr. Mole: What?

Mrs. Fieldmouse: Thumbelina!

Brock: Shut up, you lying rodent!
