== Pocahontas and John Smith's kiss/Kocoum's death/Ash and John Smith get captured == (Cut to: Exterior, Grandmother Willow's glen, night.) Grandmother Willow: The earth is trembling, child. What's going on? Pocahontas: The warriors are here! John Smith: Pocahontas! Pocahontas: John! John Smith: Listen to me. My men are planning to attack your people. You have to warn them. Pocahontas: Perhaps it's not useless to stop this. You have to come with me and speak to my father. John Smith: Pocahontas, speaking isn't going to do any luck. I already tried speaking to my men, but everything about this land has them spooked. (Percy enters.) Grandmother Willow: That's the strangest creature that I have ever seen! (Percy chases Meeko) John Smith: Percy! Easy now, Percy, come here! Pocahontas: Meeko, come back! John Smith: You see what I mean? Once two sides want to fight, nothing can stop them. Pocahontas: Come, come here! Both of you! John Smith: It's alright! It's alright, he's a friend. Naughty, naughty dog! Sit! Pocahontas: What are you doing here? Meeko! John Smith: Percy, get back here! What are you doing here? Stop that! Grandmother Willow: '''ALRIGHT, THAT'S ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!''' It's enough to make your sap boil. Now then, there's something I want to show you. Look. (Touches a vine to the river's surface) Pocahontas: The ripples. John Smith: How about them? Grandmother Willow: So small at first, then look how they grow. But someone has to start them. John Smith: They're not going to listen to us. Grandmother Willow: Young man, sometimes the right path is not the easiest one. Don't you see? Only since the fighting stops, can you be together. John Smith: Alright, let's go speak to your father. (Pocahontas and John embrace, but kiss. Kocoum and Thomas are watching.) Kocoum: Aye-ye-ye-ye-ye-yow! Pocahontas: (gasps) (Kocoum attacks John) Pocahontas: Kocoum, no! Kocoum! Leave him alone! Unh! Kocoum, stop! (Thomas loads his gun.) Thomas: (whispering) Both eyes open. (Thomas shoots. Kocoum falls.) Pocahontas: (gasps) John Smith: Thomas! Thomas: Is he...? Pocahontas: You murdered him! Thomas: I thought that––– Pocahontas: Get away from him! John Smith: Pocahontas, it won't help! He was only–––– Pocahontas: He murdered him! Native American warriors: (shouting) John Smith: Thomas, get out of here. Get out of range! (Thomas exits. John is captured.) (Cut to: Exterior, Powhatan village, night.) Powhatan: Who did this? Native American warrior: Pocahontas was out in the woods. Kocoum went to find her, and this white man attacked them! In addition, we caught this boy who can be useful in Kocoum's role. Powhatan: Your weapons are strong, but now our frustration is stronger. At sunrise, he will be the first to die! Pocahontas: But Father! Powhatan: I warned you to stay in the village. You disobeyed me. You have disgraced your father! Pocahontas: I was only trying to help. Powhatan: Because of your foolishness, Kocoum is dead! Take him away. (exits) * '''Powhatan:''' We have suspected your kind might be in trouble. We were right to see you as threats and so you'll pay for what you have done to one of my best warriors. * '''Ash:''' Try your worst. * '''Powhatan:''' There's nothing I can do now, but if you wish to value your life, you and your friends will join us at war, if not the white man will perish. And if that's true that he becomes the first person to die, that man and his ilk will pay for killing my finest warrior. * '''Ash:''' I’ll take this punishment, just as long as you let me keep my honor. * '''Powhatan:''' Very well. You have until sunrise to make your choice. Release him. (One Native American Warrior approached the tied-up Ash and used his dagger to cut his hands free. Ash heads toward Pocahontas and the others) * POCAHONTAS: Kocoum was just coming to protect me. * NAKOMA: Pocahontas, I sent Kocoum after you. I was worried about you. I thought I was doing the right thing. * POCAHONTAS: All of this happened because of me… And now I’ll never see John Smith again. * Ash: And now we have no choice but to use our Pokémon to hurt people. * Nakoma: No. Kekata told me you’d never do that. He told me you use Pokémon for peace. I told Kocoum not to harm you all. Kekata said to me to tell you that the best thing you can do is run away. * Misty: On one condition: that we see John Smith one last time. * NAKOMA: Come with me.
