Ash, SpongeBob, Simba, and their friends meet a wooden puppet named Pinocchio who wishes to become a real boy.

Plankton, and Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear will guest star in this film.
- The Crime Empire, Team Rocket, Sheldon J. Plankton, and Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear will work for The Coachman in this film.

- This film will be dedicated in memory of Dickie Jones who died from natural causes on July 7, 2014.
- Pikachu's attempt to revive Pinocchio via Thunderbolt is a reference to Pokémon The First Movie
- Due to brief language, the JA word will be replaced with the word "donkey", making it the first Pokemon crossover with a G-rated film to be censored.
- Officer Jenny will appear in this crossover where she informs Ash and his allies about the missing boys, and after they return from Pleasure Island, she helps them bring in the Coachman, his goons, and Honest John and Gideon to custody and have them sent to Arkham Asylum.
