(As Ash and his friends keep looking for Pinocchio, we then cut to the pool house where Lampwick whistles while smoking and playing pool. Pinocchio sits back on the chair while smoking a cigar.)

*'''Pinocchio''': Where do you suppose all the kids went to, Lampwick?

*'''Lampwick''': They're around here somewheres. Why do you care? You're having a good time, ain't ya?

*'''Pinocchio''': Uh-huh. I sure am.

*'''Lampwick''': Oh, boy. This is the life, huh, Pinoky?

*'''Pinocchio''': Yeah. (smokes his cigar) It sure is.

Jiminy Cricket: (furiously) Pinocchio! So, this where i find you! How do you ever expect to be a real boy? Look at yourself, smoking, playing pool. (kicks the ball) Ow! You're coming right home with me this minute!

Lampwick: Hey, who's the beetle? (picks up Jiminy)

Jiminy Cricket: Let go! Put me down! (muffled) Let me out!

Pinocchio: He's my conscience. He tells me what's right and wrong.

Lampwick: What?! (drops Jiminy) You mean to tell me to take orders from a grasshopper?!

Jiminy Cricket: (angry and offended) Grasshopper?! Look here, you-you imputent young pup, it wouldn't hurt to take orders from your grassho- your conscience if you have one!

Lampwick: (dismissively) Yeah, yeah, sure. Screwball in the corner pocket. (shoots a ball)

(Jiminy yells as he goes down, the he moves out of the way as the eight ball hits the other pool balls. Lampwick laughs meanly at Jiminy and he furiously comes out.)

Jiminy Cricket: Why, you young hoodlum. I'll knock your block off! (huffs and puffs as Lampwick laughs even more) (marches up) I'll take you apart! Put you back together!

Pinocchio: (stops him) Oh, don't hurt him, Jiminy. He's my best friend.

Jiminy Cricket: Why I'll-(outraged) Your best friend?! And what am I just your conscience! (takes his coat) Okay, that settles it!

Pinocchio: But, Jiminy!

Jiminy Cricket: You buttered your bread! Now sleep in it!

(The entire gang turns away from Jiminy. As they leave, they all give Jiminy angry looks for trying to abandon the puppet)
