Opening/"Love is a Song" edit

Ash ventures out in the forest/Bambi is born edit

(The film opens up in the middle of a North American forest. It is quiet and the sun is slowly peaking through the trees as a new day is dawning. In the middle of the forest, there is a cabin. Out comes Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu. They walk out through the door and take a good look around.)

Ash Ketchum: (takes a deep breath and breathes out) It's so peaceful. Wouldn't you say, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) Let's take a little morning walk through the forest before breakfast. Okay, buddy?

Pikachu: Pika!

(As they go out to venture the forest, the birds are heard chirping, the water in the streams are flowing, and the wind is blowing calmly. Everything in the forest is calming, relaxing, and peaceful. Just then, they see an owl flying by, which frightens poor Pikachu.)

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) Relax, Pikachu. It's just an owl. See? (points to it going back into its tree and going to sleep) It won't hurt you. It's just going to sleep for the day.

Pikachu: (relieved) Pika, Pika...

(A squirrel wakes up and hears the owl sleeping. The squirrel stretches itself as its best friend, the sleeping chipmunk, pulls his tail back to sleep more. A mother robin comes flying by, giving her chicks some berries. They soon start to fight over them until one of the chicks ate them all. That little moment made Ash and Pikachu laugh, seeing it was a harmless argument between two baby chicks.)

Ash Ketchum: (laughs and sighs) Aren't they cute, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Pika! (laughs)

(They continue on with their morning walk. A mouse comes out of her nest, scratches her ear, and looks around. She takes notice of a drop of water left from rain. She takes the drop and uses it to wash her face. A little rabbit comes out of its den in the ground. He yawns and stretches itself. Meanwhile, Ash and Pikachu still continue their walk until they start hearing an unfamiliar sound.)

Ash Ketchum: Huh?

Pikachu: Pika?

(They look around, wondering where it was coming from. Pikachu looks at a nearby thicket and realizes that the noise is coming from in there.)

Pikachu: Pika!

Ash Ketchum: What is it, Pikachu?

(Pikachu runs to the thicket and looks into it.)

Pikachu: Pika, Pika!

Ash Ketchum: (runs over to Pikachu) What did you find? (bends down and looks into the thicket; what he finds is something unusual; an unknown animal silhouetted in the dark and laying on the ground moaning) Aw, man. She doesn't look too good, Pikachu. That animal in there looks sick. It's almost as if she's...she's... (notices something different about it; he quickly realizes that she's not sick, but in pain) Whoa, boy!

(Meanwhile, Ash's gang are wondering where he is.)

Misty: Where do you think he could be? He said he'd be back before breakfast.

Lumiere: It's not like him to be late.

Cogsworth: Yes, Lumiere. It isn't like him to be late. He's a very bright boy.

Fred Jones: Alright, gang. Let's just stay calm. I'm sure that when he gets back, there's going to be loads of explaining to...

(Suddenly, Ash bursts in through the door.)

Brock: Ash?! Ash, where have you been?

Misty: You're late!

Ash Ketchum: There's no time to explain! Give me some towels, please!

Daphne Blake: Towels? What do you need towels for?

Ash Ketchum: Just do as I tell you!

Velma Dinkley: Okay, okay! Hold your horses! (grabs some clean towels and groans) I don't see where you're going with this, Ash, but...

Ash Ketchum: (takes the towels) Thanks! I'll be right back! (runs out in a hurry)

Misty: Well, that was a bit rude.

Mrs. Potts: What is that boy up to?

Mr. Potato Head: And what's the big rush?

Woody: I don't know, but we're going to find out.

Brock: Yeah, Woody's right. Come on, guys. Let's go find him. And when we find him, he's got some serious explaining to do.

(Ash and Pikachu run back to the thicket as fast as they could. They both stop near the entrance where they see the unknown animal inside. It wakes up and feels scared.)

Ash Ketchum: Hey, shh-shh-shh-shh. It's alright. It's alright. I mean no harm. I won't hurt you. I've noticed that you're struggling and I've come to help you. But you're going to have to trust me with this. You understand? (it shakes its head in response to "yes.") Okay. (crawls into the thicket with Pikachu) Now, just lay there, relax, and it'll all be over soon. Nice and easy now.

(Meanwhile, the little rabbit hears the bluebird chirping wildly, waking all the forest animals up. It was like it was spreading some kind of wonderful news. The little rabbit's siblings hop out of their den and follow the bird. Soon, all of the forest animals come running after the bluebird, which startles Ash's gang.)

Mr. Potato Head: Whoa! Hey! Watch it! Careful! Oh, for the love of Idaho! What's the big rush around here?!

Hamm: Or better yet, would anyone please explain what in Sam Hill is going on around here?

Bluebird: Haven't you heard?! It happened! The new prince is born!

Woody: New prince?

Buzz Lightyear: What new prince?

Bluebird: The new prince of the forest! The Great Prince and his mate had just given birth to a new heir! The forest has a new heir to the throne! Isn't it wonderful?! (flies away)

Misty: Great Prince? His mate?

Brock: A new heir? Born to this day? In the middle of the forest? (gasps in realization) Let's go!

(Ash's gang decide to follow the bluebird and the forest animals. Meanwhile, the little rabbit is thumping his foot to wake the owl up. The rabbit is called Thumper and the owl is called Friend Owl.)

Thumper: Wake up! Wake up!

Friend Owl: Oh, what now?

Thumper: Wake up, Friend Owl!

Friend Owl: Hey, what's going on around here?!

Thumper: Wake up!

Thumper's sister #1: It happened!

Thumper's sister #2: It happened!

Thumper: The new prince is born!

Thumper's sister #3: We're going to see him!

Thumper: Come on! You'd better hurry up!

(Friend Owl flies off to join them.)

Ash and friends meet Bambi edit

(Ash's gang and the forest animals gather together in the thicket. They now realize what Ash and Pikachu had been doing this whole time. The creature they were helping was a beautiful, female deer. A doe who was giving birth to a cute, little, baby fawn. They all look in awestruck as the baby fawn rests soundly aside his mother.)

Brock: Well, would you look at that?

Misty: It's-It's a baby fawn.

Buzz Lightyear: (gasps) Woody, look! A fawn! It's a baby fawn!

Woody: Oh! So, that's what this was all about.

Shaggy Rogers: Zoinks! Like, he sure is adorable.

Velma Dinkley: Jinkies! Look at him. He's cute when he's asleep.

Daphne Blake: And he's so tiny!

-

Sarge: (to Ash) You did good, son. You did good.

Friend Owl: Well, heh, this is quite an occasion. Yes, sir. It isn't everyday a prince is born. You ought to be congratulated.

Ash Ketchum: Oh, yeah. Congratulations.

Ash's gang and the forest animals: (in random unison) Congratulations.

Bambi's mother: Thank you very much. (nuzzles her baby) Come on. Wake up. We have company.

(The baby fawn opens its eyes for the first time and looks up.)

Female raccoon: Hello, hello, there.

Mrs. Quail: Hello, little prince.

Thumper's sister #4: Hello, hello there.

Mrs. Quail's chicks: Hello, little prince!

Ash Ketchum: Hi, little prince.

Ash's gang: Hi, there.

Scooby-Doo: Hello. (giggles)

(Friend Owl playfully hoots at the baby fawn making him laugh and the heroes among with the forest animals laugh.)

Jessie the Cowgirl: Hey, lookie! He's trying to get up!

(The baby fawn struggles to stand on his feet.)

Thumper: Kinda wobbly, isn't he?

Thumper's mother: Thumper.

Thumper: Well, he is. (to Bambi) Aren't you?

(The baby fawn bleats, and he falls backwards which caused everybody to laugh.)

Friend Owl: Looks to me he's getting kind of sleepy. (the baby fawn yawns) I think it's time we all left. Come on. (shooing) Come on. (shooing)

Thumper's mother: Thumper, come on.

Thumper: (goes to leave, but stops for a moment) Whatcha gonna call him?

Bambi's mother: Well, I think I'll call him Bambi.

Thumper: Bambi. (thinks for a minute) Yep, I guess that'll do alright. (leaves)

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) Bambi, huh?

Bambi's mother: Uh-huh.

Ash Ketchum: That's really pretty.

Bambi's mother: Thank you.

Ash Ketchum: Okay, Bambi it is.

Misty: (V.O.) Ash!

Ash Ketchum: I know. I'm coming. (to Bambi's mother) You sure you're okay?

Bambi's mother: Oh, yes. I'm just tired for now. Thank you for bringing the new prince into the world. You truly are the kindest human I've ever seen.

Ash Ketchum: You're welcome. I'll leave the two of you rest for a day or so. I can't wait to see him walking.

Bambi's mother: He will, dear. He will.

Ash Ketchum: See you later. (exits the thicket)

Bambi's mother: Bambi. My little Bambi.

Ash Ketchum: (looks back at the thicket) Wow, Pikachu. That doe reminds me of my mom. (thinks back about his own mother) We better let them rest, Pikachu. Come on.

Pikachu: Pikachu!

(Ash and Pikachu head back to the cabin. But little did they know, a much larger, bulkier stag with big antlers, the Great Prince of the Forest, is on a hilltop staring down at the thicket. But he's not just watching his mate and newborn son, but he's also looking at Ash and Pikachu. He had seen the way he helped his mate give birth to Bambi and was a bit confused as to why was in the thicket to help her. To him: a human helping an animal in his forest is a bit unorthodox.)

Bambi learning to talk edit

(A few days later, the doe and Bambi are doing their morning walk.)

Squirrel: (sees Bambi walking) Walking already. Well, what do you know?

(Bambi walks and nearly trips over. But he continues his walk.)

Mrs. Quail: Good morning.

Bambi's mother: Good morning, Mrs. Quail.

Mrs. Quail: And where's the young prince this morn-? (sees Bambi walking) Oh! (goes up to Bambi with her chicks) Good morning, Bambi.

Mrs. Quail's chicks: Good morning, young prince!

(Mrs. Quail and her chicks leave, but once comes back.)

Mrs. Quail's chick: Goodbye!

(Bambi continues his walk.)

Mother possum: Good morning, young prince.

(Bambi turns his head as he sees them upside down.)

Mother possum's babies: Good morning, young prince!

(Bambi continues his walk. He sees something crawling in the ground. Out comes a little mole.)

Mole: Good morning. Hmm. Nice sunny day. (crawls back into the dirt and goes back to digging)

(Bambi curiously looks into the hole and tries to follow the mole. But he trips over the tall grass.)

Misty: Oh, my!

Ash Ketchum: You okay, Bambi?

Thumper: What's the matter?

Thumper's sisters: What happened?

Thumper: Did the young prince fall down?

Thumper's sister #1: Is he hurt?

Rex: Did he hurt himself?

Bambi's mother: No, he's alright.

-

-

-

Bambi's mother: Come on, Bambi. Get up. Try again.

Ash Ketchum: Come on, get up, Bambi.

Thumper: Come on, get up.

Woody: Get up, little fella. Come on.

Buzz Lightyear: Get up, Bambi. You can do it. Come on.

Thumper and his sisters: Come on! Get up, Bambi! Get up! Try again.

Meeting Flower edit

Bambi: Bird!

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) No, silly, that's not a bird.

Thumper: That's a butterfly.

Bambi: Butterfly? Butter- (sees that it's gone; he goes to the flowers) Butterfly!

(Ash and Thumper laugh.)

Thumper: (chuckles) No, that's a flower!

Bambi: Flower?

Thumper: Uh-huh. It's perdy. (sniffs the flowers)

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) Pretty. Gone and sniff 'em, Bambi. They're beautiful.

Bambi: Perdy. (sniffs them until he bumps into a skunk)

Ash Ketchum: (freaks out a bit; quietly) A-s-s-skunk?

Bambi: Flower!

Flower: Me?

(Thumper laughs hysterically)

Thumper: That's not a flower! He's a little-

Flower: That's alright. He can call me a flower if he wants to. (chuckles) I don't mind.

Ash Ketchum: You don't?

(The skunk shakes its head)

Ash Ketchum: Oh. Well, uh, o-okay then. (in his thoughts) I never thought of meeting a really nice skunk before. He seems pretty cute, shy, gentle, and cuddly. And very harmless too.

Bambi: Perdy! Pretty flower!

Flower: Oh! (laughs) Gosh!

Little April showers edit

(Ash, Pikachu, Thumper, and Bambi keep wandering around the forest until they hear a loud thunder clap. That loud noise scared them to the bone.)

Thumper: I think I better go home now. (leaves)

Ash Ketchum: I guess I'd better get you back to your mother, Bambi. Come on. Come on. It's okay. It's okay. (another thunder clap occurs, only louder) WHOA!!!

Pikachu: PIKA!!!

Ash Ketchum: Oh, geez! Bambi, we'd better get you home quickly! Let's go!

(They run back to the thicket as fast as they could. Sooner or later, Bambi and his mother are nestled into their den, ready to sleep while thunder continues to roar in the night. Back at the cabin, Ash and Pikachu manage to make it back before dark and before the storm was about to get worse.)

Ash Ketchum: Phew! We made it, buddy. Bambi is safe with his mother in their home and we're safe and sound in our own place.

Pikachu: Pikachu.

(Thunder continues to roar outside.)

Mrs. Potts: Oh, dear! That's quite a storm.

Bambi's mother teaches Bambi about the dangers edit

Bambi: The meadow!

Bambi's Mother: Wait, Bambi, wait!

(She blocks him as Bambi instantly halts.)

Bambi's Mother: (firmly) You must never rush out in the meadow. There might be danger out there we're unprotected. The meadow is wide and open and they are no trees or bushes to hide us. So, we have to be very careful. Wait here. I'll go out first.

Meeting Faline/Meeting the Great Prince of the forest edit

-

-

-

Ash Ketchum: Well, well, Bambi. Who's your friend, there?

(Bambi is too shy to answer.)

Bambi's mother: That's little Faline.

Ash Ketchum: Faline, huh?

-

-

-

-

-

-

-

-

-

-

Bambi: He stopped and looked at me.

Bambi's mother: Yes, I know.

Bambi: Why was everyone still when he came on the meadow?

Bambi's mother: Everyone respects him. For of all the deer in the forest, not one has lived half so long. He's very brave and very wise. That's why he's known as the Great Prince of the Forest.

Ash Ketchum: Wow....

(The Great Prince moves away to the depth of the forest, but suddenly he stops and hears the crows screeching. Ash and his gang head back to his cabin until Pikachu hears something. He hears the crows' screeching as well)

Ash Ketchum: What's wrong, Pikachu?

Pikachu: (runs back to the meadow and sees something shiny in the bushes far away from the herd) Pika!

Ash Ketchum: What is it?

Pikachu: Pika, Pika! (points to the shiny light)

Ash Ketchum: Huh? (hides behind the bushes, pulls out a pair of binoculars and looks closer; he sees a shiny tube peaking through the leaves with two small holes; he realizes it is a rifle and there's a poacher behind there; he gasps in horror) Poacher! Bambi!

(The Great Prince understands the crows' message and rushes back to the herd to report the danger. The deer and the animals perked up and they all run for their lives.)

Ena: Faline!

(Faline runs up to her mother. Ash runs through the herd to find Bambi.)

Ash Ketchum: Bambi! Bambi! Bambi, where are you?!

Bambi's mother: Bambi!

(Bambi is confused at the commotion as he frantically looks for his mother.)

Bambi: Mother! (he dodges the incoming deer as they leap over him)

Bambi's mother: Bambi! Bambi!

Ash Ketchum: Bambi! Bambi, answer me! (he spots Bambi in the middle of the meadow; he is out in the open where the poacher can see him; gasps) Bambi! (runs up to him as fast as he could)

(Bambi continues to look for his mother out in the meadow.)

Bambi: Mother! Mother! Mother!

Ash Ketchum: Bambi! (runs up to Bambi) Come on, Bambi! We gotta go! (grabs Bambi and goes to run, but he bumps into the Great Prince) Oh, it's you! (The Great Prince shakes his head to follow him) You want us to follow you? (he nods) Oh, okay! Okay! Come on, Bambi! Let's get out of here! Quickly!

(The Great Prince leads Ash, Pikachu and Bambi out of the meadow before meeting up with Bambi's mother. Soon after, they all reached to the safest part of the forest as a gunshot is heard from a distance. Crows is heard cawing. Later, Bambi's mother comes out of the bushes to check if the coast is clear. Ash comes out next along with Pikachu.)

Ash Ketchum: Is he gone?

Bambi's mother: Yes. Come on out, Bambi. Come on. It's safe now. We don't have to hide any longer.

Bambi: (a bit shaken comes out of the bushes) What happened, Mother? Why did we all run?

(Ash lowers his head down sadly.)

Bambi's mother: Man...was in the forest.

Ash Ketchum: (sighs sadly) I was afraid it might come to this. (gets up to his feet) Bambi, that creature, whom your mother, the Great Prince and the other animals ran away from and is dubbed "Man", is a human. Just like....me. (Bambi gasps in horror at the revelation) And just like Misty, Brock, Daphne, Fred, Velma, and Shaggy. They're humans too. But that guy is no ordinary human. He's a hunter. Or poacher as I like to call it. Those kinds of humans hunt wild animals. And they've have been doing things like this since the very beginning of time. Including your species.

Bambi: What?! But why?

Ash Ketchum: Because they need to provide enough food for their families so they can last the whole winter. It's been this way for a very, very long time, Bambi. We humans have gotta eat what we gotta eat. And there's nothing we can do to change it. It is how we developed ways to provide food for other people. And from the looks of what happened out in the meadow today, that poacher was sure looking forward to making a fine meal out of you. When someone like him appears again, you must always be on high alert. Because you never know what harm they'll do if they strike the forest.

Bambi: Are there always bad humans out there?

Ash Ketchum: Not all humans are bad, Bambi. There are also good humans who help protect the animals of the forest. Like, um, rangers. They help protect mountains, forests, and the environment. And they help protect the animals who are in danger. One time, I met a ranger who arrested two poachers when they were trying to capture a massive herd of elephants in Africa.

Bambi: Whoa! That's amazing!

Ash Ketchum: Yeah! And she was very friendly too. So, you see, Bambi. While there's humans who are bad and do harm to animals and their environments, there are also good humans who actually care about animals and their environments. And me and my friends are one of those good humans who do care. We all mean well. And we would never do harm to this forest nor do harm to any kind of animal. Please remember that. Okay?

Bambi: Okay.

Winter sets in/Ice skating edit

Thumper: Hiya, Bambi! Watch what I can do. (jumping to the ice) Whee! Come on, it's all right! Look, (thumps his foot on the ice) the water's stiff.

Bambi: (runs and jumps up) Yahoo! (lands on the ice)

-

-

Misty: Aww, guys, look at that. Bambi and Thumper are ice skating.

Brock: That is so cute.

-

The tragic death of Bambi's mother edit

Bambi: Winter sure is long, isn't it?

Bambi's mother: It seems long. But it won't last forever.

Bambi: I'm awful hungry, Mother.

Bambi's mother: Yes, I know.

(The next day, Bambi's mother found some grass that's been sprouting in the snow.)

Bambi's mother: Bambi! Bambi, come here! Look. New spring grass.

(Bambi and his mother go to munch on the grass. However, their joyful feasting is going to be cut short as someone is lurking in the shadows and watching them. It is the same poacher that hunted them during the last summer when they were in the meadow with the stags and the Great Prince. Bambi's mother perked her head up, looks around as she senses his presence, and became very aware of the danger.)

Bambi's mother: Bambi. Quick! To the thicket!

(Bambi and his mother turn and run for the thicket as fast as they could. The hunter shots his gun at them. Ash and Pikachu hear the gunshot not that far while they were eating breakfast.)

Ash Ketchum: Hmm?

Pikachu: Pika?

Ash Ketchum: (gasps) Bambi!

(They get up and rush out the door. They run over to the nearby meadow where they find Bambi and his mother running from the unseen poacher.)

Bambi's mother: Faster! Faster, Bambi! Don't look back! Keep running! Keep running!

(Bambi and his mother continue running until "BANG!!". The final gunshot was heard. Bambi made it out safely, but unfortunately, his mother wasn't so lucky.)

Ash Ketchum: (gasps in horror)

Pikachu: Pika?!

(Ash and Pikachu couldn't believe what'd just happened right when Bambi ran off to the safety of his thicket. His mother, the female doe that they helped give birth to the new heir of the forest, had been shot and killed by the poacher. And to make matters worse, that emotionless human did it right before their very eyes. The doe is now gone forever, and Bambi no longer has a mother's care.)

Ash Ketchum: (horrified) No...

(They turn and look back at the path Bambi ran, worried about how he's gonna react when he finds out that his mother is dead. As the apathetic yet unseen poacher starts carrying the carcass of Bambi's mother away off-screen, he sighs sadly and sulks his head down as he mourns her death.)

Ash Ketchum: (devastated) Come on, Pikachu. Let's spread the word.

Pikachu: (sadly) Pikachu......

(With no other option, he and Pikachu turn and head back to the cabin to tell his friends the grave news. Minutes later...)

Ash's friends: He did what?!

Ash Ketchum: Yes. It's sad but it's also true. (sniffs)

Pikachu: (sad) Pika....

Gonzo: He killed Bambi's mother?!

Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh. And the worst thing is Bambi doesn't know anything about it. He just kept on running. He hoped that he and his mother would make it out of that meadow alive. But unfortunately, his mother never made it.

Mrs. Potts: Oh, dear!

Cogsworth: Oh, how dreadful!

Lumiere: What a pity...

Scooby-Doo: Uh-oh.

Shaggy Rogers: Zoinks.

Velma Dinkley: Jinkies.

Fred Jones: Aw, man.

Daphne Blake: Jeepers.

Scrappy-Doo: This is terrible.

Mrs. Potato Head: Oh, goodness gracious.

Rex: What are we gonna do?

Jessie the Cowgirl: How are we ever gonna explain this to Bambi? He's too little to fend for himself. This is so unfair. His heart will break.

Buzz Lightyear: Well, Jessie, (sniffs) there's only one thing we can do: we have to tell the Great Prince.

Woody: Buzz is right, guys. (sniffs) He needs to be informed of what has happened to Bambi's mother immediately. It's for the best.

(Ash and Pikachu look out the window with worried looks on their faces, hoping if Bambi will be alright.)

Pikachu: (sadly) Pika....

(Meanwhile, Bambi continues running until he reaches the thicket.)

Bambi: We made it! (Panting) We made it, Mother! We... Mother! (comes out and is snowing) Mother?! (no answer and goes to look for her) Mother, where are you?! (runs off to look for her) Mother? (no answer) Mother! (still no answer; back with Ash and the gang, they hear Bambi calling out for his deceased mother) Mother? (still no answer; Ash sighs sadly and is on the verge of tears) Mother? (still no answer and he starts crying) Mother! (sobs and suddenly gasps)

(Bambi is surprised to see the Great Prince along with Ash and his gang standing in the middle of a blizzard. But they all have sad, mournful faces, which confused Bambi.)

Great Prince of the Forest: Your mother can't be with you anymore.

Ash Ketchum: (sighs sadly with tears in his eyes) I'm so sorry, Bambi.

(Bambi begins to cry over the loss of his mother.)

Brock: (trying not to cry) Let's get you home now.

Great Prince of the Forest: (to Bambi) Come. My son.

(Everyone begins to follow the Great Prince as they lead Bambi back home with tears still flowing. Bambi stops for a moment but turns back and continues onward.)

The next spring edit

(The scene changes to the next spring where the birds are mating.)

-

-

Friend Owl: (abruptly wakes up from the birds' singing) Oh, what now? Hey, hey! Stop that racket! Scat! Shoo! Shoo! (the birds keep singing) I'll fix 'em. Hoo-hoo. (acts innocent and then hoots loudly, which scares the birds) There, I guess that'll teach 'em. (goes back into his tree, but the birds resume their singing, which startles him completely) Oh, what's the use! (flies off to another tree) Same thing every spring. "Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet! Love's sweet song!" Hmph! Pain in the pinfeathers I call it.

-

Ash Ketchum: (giggles) Sorry about that, Friend Owl.

Misty: Didn't mean to wake you.

Friend Owl: Oh, that's all right, children. I'm glad to see you.

Twitterpated edit

Thumper: (scoffs) Twitterpated!

Bambi fights Ronno/Looking for Romance edit

-

-

Ash Ketchum: (slowly recognizes the angry buck in the midst of being scared) I remember you. Y-You're Ronno, aren't you?

(But Ronno just points his sharp antlers at them.)

Misty: Guess he's in no mood for a conversation.

Pheasant 2: Hush.

Pheasant 3: Be quiet.

Pheasant 1: He's coming closer!

Pheasant 3: Be calm. Don't get excited.

Pheasant 1: We'd better fly!

Pheasant 2: No! No, don't fly! Whatever you do, don't fly!

Pheasant 1: He's almost here! I CAN'T STAND IT ANY LONGER! [the other pheasants watch sadly as she flies and immediately gets shot]

(Meanwhile, back a man's campsite, the poachers carelessly left their campfire burning. The wind blew some coals over and, in an instant, the campfire creates a wild brushfire that spreads from one place to another. The forest animals flee from the fire as fast as they could. Meanwhile, Ash and the gang are becoming worried about Bambi, Faline, Thumper, and Flower. But suddenly, they start to smell smoke.)

Misty: (smells something) Brock, do you smell something?

Brock: (smells the same odor) Yeah.

-

Shaggy Rogers: Hey, guys, come outside!

Woody: What is it, Shaggy?

Shaggy Rogers: Like the forest animals are acting out all crazy again, man!

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, crazy!

-

(The group sees flocks of birds flying away from the forest.)

Daphne Blake: (uneasily) Fred?

Fred Jones: Hmm...... Gang, something is going wrong. The forest is far too still.

Velma Dinkley: Indeed, Fred. This really is suspicious.

Ash Ketchum: I think we better go see what's going on.

Brock: (sniffs the air) Ugh! The odor's getting stronger!

-

Rex: What's going on out there, Ash? What's happening? Tell me, Ash! I want to know! (hops up and down) Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me!

Ash Ketchum: Wait a minute, Rex. Wait a minute.

Pikachu: (twitches his ears) Pika? (sees something glowing up ahead and taps Ash's shoulder) Pika, Pi!

Ash Ketchum: What is it, Pikachu?

Pikachu: (points to the light on the hilltop) Pikachu!

Ash Ketchum: (gasps upon seeing the glowing light on the hill) There's something up there, you guys. Look!

Heroes: (gasps upon seeing the light)

Lumiere: W-what's that?

Rex: Maybe it's daylight! Morning has sprung!

Mr. Potato Head: What?! Don't be ridiculous, Rex! How can the sun be rising in the middle of the night?

Woody: Hold it, you guys! I don't think that's daylight.

Misty: Now that you've mentioned it, Woody, it's getting hotter. Whew!

(Ash gasps and starts putting the pieces together like a puzzle. The strong odor of smoke, the scared animals and birds running away, the glowing light appearing on the hill, and the sudden feeling of heat. He finally begins to see what is going on here!)

Ash Ketchum: (realizes what's going on) Wait a minute.... (runs up the hill with Pikachu; but as they go up the hill, the heat around them begins to grow hotter and hotter; once they reached the very top of the hill, they make a terrifying discovery: A FOREST FIRE CARELESSLY CREATED BY MAN'S CAMPFIRES!!; gasps, screams, and runs back down to his friends in panic) THE FOREST IS ON FIRE! (Bambi is still weak and wounded from the poacher's last gunshot. He slowly wakes up and sees everything dark. The forest is fogged with smoke. He then hears a familiar voice, but it sounds like someone's coughing. Then suddenly, out from the smoke, Ash Ketchum appears and has come to the young prince's aid.)

Ash Ketchum: (coughs and gasps) Bambi! (quickly runs over to him) Bambi, get up! Come on, Bambi! Please get up! We have to get out of here! (feels Bambi's gunshot wound on his shoulder and looks at his hand all covered in deer blood) Oh, you've been shot. (takes out a roll of bandages and a small bottle of saline from his backpack) Hold still, old friend. (takes a towel, wets it with saline and tends Bambi's wound; it stung him a bit, but it helped; then he wrapped his wound around with the bandages until it's good and secure) There. That should do it. (quickly packs up his backpack and puts it on him) Now, come on, we gotta get out of here. This whole place is gonna burn down. Let's go. (tries to lift him up) Come on, Bambi, we gotta go!

Great Prince: Get up, Bambi.

(Bambi looks up and sees his father, the Great Prince.)

Ash Ketchum: Oh, it's you. Your Highness, he's been-

Great Prince: Yes, I know. Bambi went looking for Faline after I told him about Man coming here again. He found her being attacked by his hunting dogs and protected her from them. That gave her the chance to escape. But when Bambi was attempting to do the same, Man shot him. You did a great job tending him when he was injured, son. And I'm very proud of you. To reward you for helping Bambi so much, I will help you in return by guiding you both out of this fire.

Ash Ketchum: Thanks so much. (turns to Bambi) You hear, Bambi? It's time to go. Come on. (tries to lift him up again) Stand up.

Great Prince: Get up!

Ash Ketchum: (grunts) Stand up, Bambi, please! (grunts)

(Ash struggles to get Bambi to his feet despite that he is wounded.)

Great Prince: You must get up.

Ash Ketchum: (grunts) Come on, you can do it!

Great Prince: Get up!

Ash Ketchum: Almost there!

Great Prince: Get up!

(Bambi finally gets up to his feet.)

Ash Ketchum: There! Attaboy! I knew you could do it!

Great Prince: Now, both of you, come with me.

Ash Ketchum: Let's go. Come on. (helps Bambi follow his father away from the area he fell in as the fire closes in) So, do you know the way out of here?

Great Prince: Yes. There should be a stream flowing in the middle of the forest. It has a waterfall that connects directly to a small lake that isn’t too far. There should be an island there. And from what I've heard from the birds, Faline and your friends should be waiting there for the both of you.

Ash Ketchum: That's good to hear.

Great Prince: (hears the fire closing in) We better hurry. We've got no time to lose.

Ash Ketchum: (climbs onto Bambi's back) Right. Let's go, Bambi!

Ending edit

(The scene changes where Friend Owl is sleeping and just then Thumper and his children arrive. He among with his children thump their foots.)

Thumper: Wake up! Wake up, Friend Owl!

Thumper's Children: Wake up, Friend Owl!

Friend Owl: (groans) What now? Hey, what's going on around here?

Flower: It's happened.

Friend Owl: Happened?

Flower: Yes, in the thicket. Hurry up, Bambi.

Bambi: Yes, Papa, I'm coming.

(All of the forest animals head for the thicket then they all gather around to see Faline and her two newborn fawns.)

Raccoon: Look! Two of them!

Friend Owl: (chuckles) Well, sir. I don't believe I've ever seen a more likely looking pair of fawns. Prince Bambi ought to be mighty proud.

(Bambi and his father looked down proudly. The great prince leaves while Bambi stays to look to see how his mate is doing.)
