An elderly woman picks up the music box and places it away in her purse. She walked her way downstairs and was seen outside getting in her coach.

One of the coachmen closes the door of her coach.

The horses begin to pull the coach.

*'''Dowager Empress Marie (V.O. narrating):''' There a time, not very long ago. When we live in an enchanted world of elegant palaces, and grand parties. The year was 1916, and my son, Nicholas was the Tsar of Imperial Russia.

In the palace of the Romanovs we find many guests dancing.

She sat on her throne seat. The scene changed to Marie's son, Nicholas II, along with his wife, Alexandra Feodorovna, and their youngest daughter, Anastasia Romanov.

A moment later the background turned dark, and the music went into a dark tone.

An uninvited guest came walking forward. The guests were frightened and shocked upon seeing the person. A creepy and sinisterly looking man with a white bat on his shoulder.
*'''Dowager Empress Marie (V.O. narrating):''' His name was Rasputin. We thought he was a holy man, but he was a fraud, power mad, and dangerous.
Nicholas II furiously confronted Rasputin.

*'''Rasputin:''' (sarcastic) But, I am your confidant.
*'''Nicholas II:''' (furious) "Confidant!" (scoffs) You are a traitor! Get out!!

*'''Guests:''' (gasps shocked)
Marie, Young Anastasia, and Young Dimitri were shocked upon listening.

*'''Rasputin:''' Mark my words! (to Nicholas II) You and your family will die, within a fortnight!

He fired his Reliquary's power to a chandelier terrifying the guests with shock, as they cleared out of the way as the chandelier crashed down to the floor. The scene changes to Rasputin's lair.)
*'''Dowager Empress Marie (V.O. narrating):''' Consumed by his hatred for Nicholas and his family, Rasputin sold his soul for the power to destroy them.
Rasputin's skin begin to get absorbed out into the mist coming from his cauldron and then was given his reliquary which restored his skin to him. Then he begins to cast his curse.
*'''Rasputin:''' Go. Fulfill your dark purpose, and seal the fate of the Tsar and his family, once and for all.
Spirit like demons flew out from his reliquary and flew off. The scene then changes to the Romanov's palace where a group of violent soldiers of the Russian Revolution were seen outside the gates trying to make their way in, till the spirit like demons begin to unlock the gates.
*'''Dowager Empress Marie (V.O. narrating):''' From that moment on, the spark of unhappiness in our country was fanned into a flame, that would soon destroy our lives forever.
The revolutionist soldiers burst into the palace yard and begin to destroy Nicholas II's statue. The scene then changes inside the palace where the staff along with Marie and Young Anastasia were seen running for their lives to evacuate from the riot.

Young Anastasia runs as fast as she could to her room.

Young Anastasia quickly runs into her room and looked around till she runs to her dollhouse to get her music box. Marie comes in while shutting the door.
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' Anastasia!
Then they hear a frightful explosion-like sound
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' (gasps)
Marie runs to her granddaughter to protect her, then we see Young Dimitri come out to find them from the servants quarters. At the window we see Rasputin's pet bat, Bartok outside noticing them.
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' (to Anastasia) Please hurry.
*'''Young Dimitri:''' (helps them) Come this way! Out the servant's quarters!
As he quickly helps escort them to the servant's quarters Anastasia dropped her music box.
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' Hurry Anastasia!
*'''Bartok:''' Rasputin, she's getting away!
*'''Young Anastasia:''' My music box!
*'''Young Dimitri:''' (pushes her) Go! Go! (he then quickly shuts the door)
*'''Revolution Soldier (V.O.):''' Comrades! In here!
Three soldiers broke into the room searching.
*'''Revolution Soldier:''' (to Young Dimitri) Where are they boy?
Young Dimitri responded via tossing a lamp to them, only to get knocked out by one of the men armed with a shotgun, causing him to fall unconscious near Anastasia's music box. Outside we see Marie and Young Anastasia, now the only surviving members of their family left, quickly running outside away from their burning palace.
*'''Young Anastasia:''' Grandmama!
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' Keep up with me, darling!
But as they go under a bridge, Rasputin waiting from above jumped down and grabbed Anastasia via the leg.)
*'''Young Anastasia:''' (screamed startled)
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' Rasputin! (quickly tries to pull Anastasia to her as Rasputin grabbed hold of her leg tightly)
*'''Young Anastasia:''' Let me go, please!
*'''Rasputin:''' You'll never escape me child! (snickered) Never. (laughs wickedly)
But then the icy floor underneath him began to crack.
*'''Rasputin:''' (gasps shocked)
He then began to sink as he struggled to get out.
*'''Young Anastasia:''' Let go!
Rasputin lost his grip on Anastasia's leg as she and her grandmother fled.
*'''Rasputin:''' (shouts) Bartok!
Bartok came in but couldn't help as his master began to sink into the cold river water.)
*'''Bartok:''' Master!
Rasputin sank in, to what appeared to be his end, leaving behind Bartok with his Reliquary. The scene changes to a Russian train station where Marie and Young Anastasia were seen making their way to their train for Paris, as it begins to leave.
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' Anastasia! Hurry! Hurry!
Onboard the back of the train were the surfing staff members as they helped Marie up, but Anastasia was still behind.
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' (gasps)
*'''Anastasia:''' (continues running) Grandmama!
*'''Dowager Empress Marie:''' Dear! (tries to reach her) Take my hand! (Anastasia grabbed hold of her hand) Hold onto my hand!

She tried to hold on to Marie's hand only to lose grip and then she fell and screamed.

Young Anastasia hit her head to the floor and fell unconscious.

The train departs away with Marie and the surviving staff of the palace as she lost sight of her granddaughter. The scene changes to the Romanov family portrait.
