The relationships Ash Ketchum had with the other characters of Pooh's Adventures Universes.

Family

Delia Ketchum: Since Delia is Ash's mother they have a healthy loving relationship, although it does run into rocky spots at times. Ash loves his mother very much and cares about her, but he gets annoyed when she embarrasses him, especially in the original series where she constantly reminded him to change his underwear every single day. When Delia got kidnapped by Entei in The Spell of the Unown, Ash went through great lengths to get her back. Ash appreciates when his mother comments on how much he has grown as a person and as a Pokémon Trainer, and he is very grateful that his mother supports him by watching his Pokémon League battles and helping him get ready to go on another journey.

Friends

Pikachu:

Pikachu has been Ash's first Pokémon and best friends since their journey began in the Pokémon world. The two have formed a brother like bond, for they had gained the power to use the Z-Move 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt from the Alola region as well as the power of Gigantamaxing from the Galar region.

Professor Oak:

Ash has known Professor Oak since he was little, as he's a family friend and he respects him as a researcher. Ash also goes to Professor Oak for advice, calls him whenever he needs one of his Pokémon that has been kept in storage.

Misty:

When Ash first met Misty, they didn't get off on the right foot with one another after he borrowed her bike to save his Pikachu's life. That bike was then accidentally destroyed by Pikachu's Thunder Shock attack. At first, Ash didn't want Misty around and disliked that she kept following him since she wanted Ash to pay her back for destroying her bike. In fact, he hated her - period. However, Ash changed his opinion about Misty as she became a mentor to him and helped him become a great Pokémon Trainer. Ash grew to care for Misty and became best friends with her. Ash would always have Misty's back just like she had his. After their travels in Kanto, Ash and Misty traveled through the Orange Islands and Johto together. Ash and Misty have a friendly rivalry with each other as they tease each other from time to time. Ash and Misty have their fights, some of them have even almost destroyed their friendship, but they manage to patch things up in the end. After their journey through Johto, Ash and Misty part ways when she was forced to run the Cerulean Gym while her sisters went on an around the world cruise. Misty also got her bike back as well. Despite no longer traveling together, Ash and Misty maintain their strong friendship.

Brock:

Ash and Brock are best friends, as they traveled together in Kanto. When Brock stayed with Professor Ivy for awhile, Ash understood his reasons. After his best friend returned, Ash and Brock traveled together from Johto through Sinnoh. Through their travels, Ash grew to consider Brock like a big brother figure to him as he was one of his mentors that would give him helpful advice to better him as a Trainer. Ash and Brock are always there for each other. They don't usually fight with one another, but they’ve had small fallouts that are resolved pretty quickly. Ash and Brock almost lost their friendship once when one of Team Rocket's tricks got out of hand, but they mended it when the truth became clear. Ash and Brock would have practice battles together too. They officially parted ways after their travels in Sinnoh when Brock decided to become a Pokémon Doctor, and Ash continued traveling to fulfill his ambitions. After going their separate ways, Ash and Brock maintain lasting friendship.

Tracey Sketchit:

Ash and Tracey are pretty close friends as they traveled together through the Orange Islands, and they have great respect for each other. They parted ways when Tracey became Professor Oak's assistant and Ash continued traveling, but they see each other sometimes when he comes to visit Pallet Town.

May:

May is one of Ash's best friends as they traveled through Hoenn and Battle Frontier together. When May chose to become a Pokémon Coordinator, Ash gave her his full support and helped her in anyway he could. Ash also became a mentor to May and guided her in the ways of a Pokémon Trainer. They would train together for Ash's battles and for May's contests. Ash and May have their fights but they make amends with each other in the end. Their friendship remains after going their separate ways.

Max:

Ash and Max share a common love for Pokémon, as they like to do their own thing while May and Brock went shopping in towns and cities when they were traveling through Hoenn and Battle Frontier. They're each other's best friend as Ash acts like a big brother figure towards Max. Ash would protect and keep Max safe from danger. When Max was going to return to Hoenn while May traveled through Johto, Ash promised him that when he becomes a Pokémon Trainer, they were gonna have a battle together.

Dawn:

Ash shares an unbreakable friendship with Dawn, and would high five her whenever something good happens for them or as a sign of their friendship. Sometimes Ash fought with Dawn but they easily made up. Ash would stand up for Dawn and she’s done the same for him. Like he did for May, Ash mentored Dawn in the ways of a Pokémon Trainer and helped her as a Pokémon Coordinator. Also, Ash supports Dawn and cheers her on during her Contests as she cheers him on during his Gym Battles. Ash and Dawn would have practice battles to help their skill levels. After they went their separate ways, Ash and Dawn remain best friends.

Iris:

Much like his relationship with Misty Ash does get into fights with Iris, although one of them almost cost them their friendship when they both overeacted towards each other. They also tease each other from time to time as Ash gets annoyed when she calls him a little kid. Ash and Iris are still very good friends however, as they have respect for each other’s skills and the love they have for Pokémon. Ash and Iris would train for battles together. After arriving in Kanto, Ash and Iris went their separate ways to fulfill their dreams but they both know they'll always be friends no matter where they go.

Cilan:

Ash greatly respects his close friend Cilan as a Pokémon Connoisseur and as a Gym Leader. Much like his relationship with Brock and how he enjoys his cooking, Ash doesn't usually fight with Cilan but he does help him see through his mistakes and enjoys his cooking. Before going their separate ways, Ash was told by Cilan how much he learned from and he felt the same way about him.

Serena:

Ash and Serena have been friends since they were little kids back in Professor Oak's Summer Camp. Back then, Ash found Serena with an injured knee and tended to it with a handkerchief before helping her stand back up. Serena would later fall in love with him and become his girlfriend. Whenever Ash gets hurt or is in trouble Serena gets worried. In the aftermath of the Teen Titans' conflict with Terra and Slade, Ash expressed how proud he was of her for staying calm, finding her inner peace, and using her pacifism skills to save the day.

Clemont:

Clemont was Ash's traveling companion in Kalos. When Ash and his friends are in situations Clemont brings an invention to solve the problem, to which Ash replies "Wow, Science is so amazing!".

Bonnie:

Ash and Bonnie are very good friends as they both greatly care for Pokémon. Ash would also do anything to keep Bonnie safe from danger and cares for her like a little sister. They both like to have fun with Pokémon and accept each other's ideas that involve that activity as well. When their journey together ended, Ash and Bonnie went their separate as he was going home to find out his next move as a Trainer while she stayed in Kalos with Clemont.

Lillie:

Ash and Lillie are each other's best friend as they were also classmates at the Pokémon School. Ash was often there to cheer Lillie up whenever she was down and she would do the same for him. Like he would do for Max and Bonnie, Ash would go to great lengths to protect Lillie from danger and he got concerned for her safety. Ash was the biggest help for Lillie, as he never gave up on helping her get over her fear of touching Pokémon. Ash also helped Lillie and her brother save their mother from Ultra Space with the help of their other friends. Ash even helped Lillie perfect her Z-Moves as he gave her some advice on how it feels to use one, and although she didn't get it at first when she got it she did it. Ash and Lillie share a lot of things in common such as a strong love for Pokémon, excitement about going on an adventure or meeting new Pokémon, and a willingness to help others for various reasons. Ash and Lillie parted ways when he decided to continue his own journey while she left to go on a journey to find her long lost father with her family. Lillie thanked Ash for everything he did for her before the boat she was on went out further to sea. After Ash and Lillie reunited in the Galar Region since Lillie and her family found her dad "Mohn" and got his memory back from shiny Nihileho (who got Mohn's memories and before it Became Gladion's Pokémon). During heading back to the Alola Region Lillie tell her Dad about Ash how he help her to remember why she couldn't touch Pokémon, rescue her and Gladion's mum "Lusamine" from Nihileho in Ultra space and team up with Gladion, Solgaleo and Lunala to stop Necrozma and bring peace in the Alola Region. Mohn is amazed and impressed how Ash help his family when he gone and lost his memory. Then during the welcome home party for Lillie and her family Mohn make a special announcement to say thanks for everyone for welcome him home in Alola Region but the most thanks of all is Ash who helped his family while he was gone in the Galar, even since Ash came to the Alola Region Ash give Mohn's family something before they looking for him, Ash give them "hope" and Ash is the light to them to come out the darkness, then Mohn ask Ash if he would do the honor him to become his family as "Godfather" because Ash help his family alot. Ash agree to be the Godfather to Lillie's family, Lillie is surprised but happy that Ash agreed to become part of her family and since then both Ash's and Lillie's family just got bigger.

Mallow:

Ash and Mallow are close friends since they were also classmates at the Pokémon School. Like Brock and Cilan, Ash is impressed with Mallow's cooking. During their time in Alola, Ash and Mallow went on adventures together, sometimes they had Lana accompany them. They are often there to support and assist each other whenever they need it. Ash and Mallow hardly ever had any arguments with each other. Also, Ash greatly appreciates Mallow support in becoming Champion of Alola.

Lana:

Ash and Lana share a close friendship as they were also classmates at the Pokémon School. Ash gets annoyed with Lana's jokes, and gets even more annoyed when he falls for them. Ash and Lana go on adventures together where they’re sometimes joined by Mallow. Ash would also help Lana whenever her Pokémon were separated from her and she has done the same for him. In addition, Ash would help Lana in various other things as well and she would do the same for him. Ash and Lana went their separate ways when he decided to return home to continue his journey while she stayed in Alola.

Professor Kukui:

While attending the Pokémon School, Ash resided at Professor Kukui's house. The two have an extremely strong, almost familial bond. In fact, their relationship is almost akin to a father and son since they spent a lot of time together outside of the Pokémon School and enjoy each others' company. Ash at times gets scolded by Professor Kukui like a parent does whenever their kid did something wrong or wandered off on their own. They also have a student/mentor relationship with each other that works two ways, since Kukui is his teacher in the school and Ash became a mentor to him when he unexpectedly ended up going back in time to when Kukui was five years old. Ash also admires Kukui's alter ego, the Masked Royal, and gets fired up when watching his matches on TV with his Pokémon and Professor Burnet since they are also huge fans of his. When fighting as the Double Royals, their battling coordination and teamwork were so good that James said, "Those two are so in sync, you'd never know it's their first time." After the grudge match against The Revengers, Ash asked the Masked Royal to have a final battle with him someday, which he accepted. After finding out his identity, Ash was shocked that the Masked Royal and Professor Kukui were the same person. However, Ash became excited about it since he didn't care about how long Professor Kukui kept his secret. Also, like with Professor Oak, Ash trusts Professor Kukui to look after his Pokémon alongside his wife and will always consider him the father that he never had.

Professor Burnet:

Ever since Professor Burnet married Kukui and moved in with Ash, she has acted as a mother figure to the boy. Although, unlike Delia sometimes, Ash doesn't get embarrassed by Professor Burnet as she usually doesn't say anything that would freak him out or make him nervous. They are both huge fans of the Masked Royal, although they and Ash’s classmates were clueless at first that it was actually Professor Kukui. Ash, his classmates, and Professor Burnet eventually found out about the Masked Royal's identity, which ended up just making them admire him even more. Before going back home to resume his journey, Ash thanked Professor Burnet for everything knowing they'd always be friends no matter the distance. Ash not only knows that his Pokémon are in good hands with Professor Burnet and her husband, but he will also consider her as another mother.

Gary Oak:

Ash and Gary have known each other since they were little, as they grew up together. Ash and Gary had a close friendship, but that ended when they became rivals and started their Pokémon journeys. Despite their rivalry Ash and Gary at times still looked out for each other, showing that they were still friends. During their time in Johto, Ash and Gary were able to mend their friendship as they grew close to one another again. Ever since Gary moved on to become a researcher like his grandfather and Ash continued his Pokémon journey, they remained friends till the end even though they have more of a friendly rivalry with each other. Ash gets annoyed when Gary teases him from time to time.

Ever since Tai and his friends lost their families during the 9/11 attack, he became a family to them. He will do whatever it takes to help them reunite with their parents.

Tai Kamiya:

He and Tai became best friends to each other ever since they first met. They both want to protect everything they love, and make a pretty good team when fighting villains and saving the day. The two of them had a close relationship to each other like they were brothers.

Ash and Pooh have had a close bond since the day he met Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit and Eeyore as he learned they are friends with Christopher Robin. The two been through a lot of exciting adventures together.

Piglet:

Ash and Piglet are good friends. Ash often comforts Piglet whenever he feels scared.

Tigger:

Ash formed a close bond with Tigger. Tigger affectionately addresses Ash as Ashy boy. Sometimes, Tigger would tend to bounce onto Ash like he does with most of some friends, but mostly out of affection.

Rabbit:

Ash is good friends with Rabbit. Rabbit cares about Ash's safety despite being fussy. He and Ash often act like escorts towards their new friends. Rabbit often calms Ash down once he's rescued as he complains about Ash getting injured or almost getting killed. Rabbit often scolds Ash for endangering himself like going under Sykes' car. Sometimes, Rabbit would sometimes seek for console and advice from Ash and his friends whenever he or any of his friends need any help with their problems. Like when Kessie's instincts of learning to fly conflicts with the belief that he'll never see her again, he went over to Ash, Misty and Brock to ask for their help due to their past experience of releasing some of their old Pokémon in the past.

Eeyore:

Ash and Eeyore are good friends despite his gloomy attitude.

Christopher Robin:

Ash is great friends with Christopher Robin.

Kanga:

Ash and Kanga get along really well. Kanga is very motherly towards him, and whenever he tries to prove his point, she talks some sense into others or straightens out a series of misunderstandings, she'll step up and tell him/her to back down and let Ash finish when they try to protest him. When Ash goes and saves Roo from dangerous situations, Kanga is very grateful. For instance, when Roo was trapped in a lava lake created by Jafar while saving his group, Kanga becomes worried when she discovers that her son was not among the group. But Ash bravely runs down the bridge he created and rescued Roo in time while getting his arm burned.

Roo:

Ash acts very brotherly towards Roo and is quite protective of him.

Owl:

Ash gets along with Owl, but he gets bored occasionally while listening to Owl's long stories about his family relatives.

Gopher:

Ash gets along with Gopher as he affectionately addressed him "sonny."

Kessie:

Since her debut in "Find Her, Keep Her", Ash, along with Pikachu, Misty, and Brock, never fully met Kessie as a small chick due to Rabbit keeping her a secret from them. The reason being was because Rabbit believed that Ash and his friends would make things more difficult in taking care of her than Pooh and his friends ever would. With that, he remained distant from them for nearly a year as she grows into her adolescent years. However, Kessie's instinct of learning to fly begins to become a major conflict in keeping her a secret from Ash and his friends. And because of that, he fears that she'll leave him forever and will never see her again. Once she ultimately learned to fly after she saved him from falling after he was accidently launched off the cliff, Rabbit began to suffer an emotional breakdown. With that, he came to the realization that he cannot keep hiding Kessie from Ash and his friends forever now that she learned to fly and that he really does need their help. The very next day, Rabbit musters up the courage to introduce Kessie to Ash, Misty and Brock despite her shyness to them. As she plays with Pikachu, Rabbit told Ash, Misty, and Brock the truth about why he kept her hidden while even explaining the struggles he's been having since becoming her father figure. After hearing his sad story, Ash and his friends felt sorry for their friend and gave them some proper advice: if he really loves her, he must let her go so that she can be free to explore the world and be happy with other birds. They even said that as a loving parent, he should always put Kessie's happiness before his own and that she needs his support whether he likes it or not. After their long discussion, Rabbit began to break down in tears until he was comforted by his friends. But little did he knew, Kessie watched how Ash, Misty and Brock gave Rabbit emotional support to help with his problems in parenthood and realized how nice they really are. Later, that same day, Ash and his friends asked Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Owl to tell them more about Kessie so they can get a chance to know her before her departure. Later on, Pooh and the others helped Kessie prepare to leave for the winter. But Rabbit arrived too late to say goodbye to her. Luckily, Kessie joyfully came back, and Rabbit emotionally apologized for everything he said to her about not wanting to let her fly. But Pooh, Ash, and the others assured him that she will return and that he'll never be alone. Because no matter where she goes, she will always be in his heart, which makes Rabbit feel much better. Soon after Kessie left, Ash and his friends look after Rabbit and smile proudly at him.

Later, in "A Bird in Hand", Kessie returns from the south as a fully grown bird. But she doesn't reunite with Ash until he comes to everyone's rescue when he disguised himself as "The Great Heffalump" just to scare Stan and Heff. But unlike those who were easily fooled by the disguise, Kessie was the only one who wasn't fooled and secretly figured out it is indeed Ash the whole time.

Korra:

Ash and Korra are good friends. Korra sometimes acts like a big sister figure to Ash Ketchum. Ash sometimes helps Korra understands how things work Pooh’s Adventures in the Multiverse and modern life. Korra in return helps Ash with his own problems. Ash and other kids she became friends with reminds her of Tenzin’s kids: Jinora, Ikki and Meelo. And misses them sometimes. Ash reassures her that she will see them again soon. Korra comforts Ash whenever he either lost his temper or when a fall-out happens. As seen in the Pokémon crossover of The Little Mermaid, Korra doesn't hesitate to follow Ash's orders during times of crisis.

Asami Sato:

Ash and Asami are great friends.

Aisling:

Ash has a Brother-Sister relationship with Aisling, plus he told her about his promise of secret crushes, showing that sometimes she can be overprotective for the well-being of her friend and partner, though sometimes she loves to tease him.

Lincoln Loud:

Ash bonds really well with Lincoln. Each of them consider the other as the brother they never had.

Lincoln's Sisters:

Ash has a good relationship with Lincoln and his sisters. Although Ash cares for them, he still tells them to stop fighting because they can get on his nerves easily. However, during times of crisis when dealing with powerful villains they've shown to have deep concern for Ash's safety.

Otis:

Ash bonds really well with Otis. Ash felt sorry for Otis losing his father, Ben.

Ash formed a brotherly bond with Josh, as he felt sorry for Josh since he lost his dad. Ash does not hesitate to defend Josh from the basketball bully named Larry, Coach Joe Barker, and Buddy's abusive former owner Norm Snively. Ash felt proud of Josh when he and Buddy won the basketball game, football game, and the soccer game. Ash, along with his friends, promise to Josh that they’ll take care of Andrea and Noah as he leaves for college.

Ash formed a sibling like bond with Andrea. Ash, along with his friends, would help Josh and Andrea rescue Buddy's puppies. Ash comforts Andrea when Josh leaves for college, when she struggles to make the baseball team, and when her best friend Tammy moves to California with her family.

Ash, Pikachu, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo formed a friendship with Buddy. Ash felt sorry for Buddy since he was abused by his former owner Norman Snively.

Elliott is even fond of Ash's Pikachu. Ash would help Elliott take care of a stranded alien named E.T. Ash, Elliott, Michael and his friends work together to help E.T. escape from the government. Ash comforted Elliott when Michael and his friends were mad at him for ruining the pizza, when his whole family didn’t believe him, when E.T. almost died, and when E.T. left earth.

Ash shares a brother-like bond with Kenny, Kai Hiwatari, Daichi Sumeragi, Ray Kon, Max Tate, and Tyson Granger.

Tyson Granger:

Ash and Tyson are much alike. They are both competitive, have a love for food, are cocky, reckless, determined, stubborn, both have won championships, and are also quick-tempered at times. Ash feels sorry for Tyson since he lost his mother at an early age.

Kenny/Chief:

When Kenny was captured by a local neighborhood gang called the Blade Sharks, Ash risked himself to try to free him while Tyson battle Kai for the computer nerd's freedom.

Ash also risked his own life when Kenny and Hilary were abducted by Gideon's henchmen, Fatso and Slim, by jumping on top of their moving van while Tyson was forced to play their mind games. Ash and Tyson both managed to track their location and find the hostages trapped in a glass cage.

Kai Hiwatari:

Ash initially had a rocky start with Kai, due to the latter being the leader of a neighborhood gang called the Blade Sharks, with a reputation known for stealing other kids' beyblades.

Mystery Inc.:

Ash and Mystery Inc are good friends. They first met in the library where Mystery Inc. had detention. Whenever Mystery Inc has to solve a mystery, Ash helps them. They serve as older brother and sister figures to Ash. In the live-action movie, it is shown that Ash is the glue to the team as he and his own team reminded them that they shouldn't quit on each other. He then gives a lecture that teams like Mystery Inc. are like a family and they shouldn't be apart just because they're different, and that they should always stick together. At the end, the team comforts Ash when he's depressed from Scrappy-Doo's betrayal.

Shaggy Rogers:

Ash and Shaggy have a close bond. They both have a fondness for eating. Despite his cowardice, Shaggy is always there to help Ash and his friends when they're in danger. Shaggy (along with Fred) also serve as an older brother figure towards Ash. In the live-action movie, Shaggy is saddened to see Ash depressed from Scrappy-Doo's betrayal.

Scooby-Doo:

Ash and Scooby-Doo get along really well. Whenever Ash or one of his friends gets into trouble like when dealing with Team Rocket, Scooby is always there to protect them from danger despite his cowardice. Scooby also acts as an older brother figure to Ash, even if he's only a dog. Scooby often comforts Ash when he's sad or hurt. Scooby is often saddened to see Ash injured from the battles.

Fred Jones:

Ash and Fred Jones are close to each other. They both have been playing sports since they're both leaders. Fred (along with Shaggy) serves as an older brother figure to Ash.

Daphne Blake:

Ash and Daphne are good friends, but sometimes when Daphne doesn't like dirty Pokémon, Ash argues with her despite their friendship. Daphne also serves as an older sister figure to Ash. Whenever Ash is angry and frustrated Daphne often calms him down, like when he bitterly vowed vengeance against Scrappy-Doo for his betrayal.

Velma Dinkley:

Ash and Velma are great friends. Velma is impressed with Ash’s strategies in battling while Ash is impressed with Velma's brains. Velma serves as an older sister figure to Ash.

Mary-Jane (Scooby-Doo):

Ash formed a friendship with Mary-Jane along with Shaggy and Scooby. After escaping the possessed students, Ash and Shaggy couldn't believe that Mary-Jane was also possessed. After Mary-Jane was finally free from possession, she felt deeply sorry for Ash upon seeing him wounded from his fight with Scrappy-Doo in his monster form. Mary-Jane comforted a depressed Ash while he was resting in the hotel room.

That's when Ash realized that Simba was trying to prevent Kiara from suffering the same experiences he went through as a cub, but that he’s doing it the wrong way. After learning that Simba's pride and Zira's pride were going to clash in a bloody war that would sever the Circle of Life for good, he raced back to the pridelands with Kiara and Kovu. Just when Simba and Zira were about to strike each other, Ash, Kiara, and Kovu stepped in between them and stopped them from fighting. Through the words of Ash and Kiara and Mufasa's presence, Simba finally snapped out of his anger and ended the feud once and for all. Zira refused to submit, and still wanted to kill Simba to fulfill Scar's wish. Luckily, Ash and Kiara prevented Zira from killing Simba and knocked her off the cliff. As they all fell further into the ravine, Simba dove down to assist them. Though Zira fell in the river and drowned, Simba managed to pull Kiara up while giving Ash a ride back up. Simba then reconciles with Ash, Kiara, and Kovu for his selfishness and promises to be a better, fairer, and wiser king from then on.

When Ash first met Tod as a little baby fox, he felt deeply sorry for him, since his mother had been shot. Ash among with his friends play with Tod when he was a young fox. Ash cautioned him that they're not supposed to be on Amos' property. While Copper was away on a hunting trip, a very sad Tod didn't feel like playing with Ash and his friends due to missing Copper so much. As he grew into an adult fox, he was accused for supposedly hurting Chief on purpose his best friend, a hound dog named Copper (who had just come back from his hunting trip as a fully grown and trained hunting dog) and his grumpy owner who is a hunter, Amos Slade. When Ash and his friends heard the news, they were shocked since Tod would never intentionally hurt anyone and they knew Chief's condition was just an accident. After Mrs. Tweed somberly left Tod at the game preserve, Ash learned that Amos and Copper plan to a monstrous, revenge hunt for Tod so they can get back for what he supposedly did to Chief. With that, Littlefoot and Ash decide to beat Amos at his own game and put a stop to the madness once and for all. Or they'll end up suffering a similar fate their friend, Kenai, did back when he was a rebellious human being prior to his transformation into a bear. So, they both tell the gang that they'll get up very early on the morning of Amos and Copper's monstrous hunt and get to the game preserve before they do. Two days later, the dangerous hunt begins, but for both sides: good and bad. Ash and the group find Amos and Copper setting up traps for Tod and witness their fox getting attacked by them. They set their plan in motion and fight their way to talk Copper and Amos out of killing Tod and Vixey while giving them time for them to escape. But things took a turn for the worse when a giant grizzly bear attacks Amos and Copper. Luckily, Tod comes back and saves the day by plummeting the bear down the waterfall. Ash and the gang arrive at the banks where Tod collapsed from exhaustion. While making amends with Copper and tending some of Tod's wounds, Amos points his gun at the wounded fox. The gang, having enough with the hunter's attitude towards their foxy friend, finally take a stand and successfully talk him out of killing him after reminding how he saved everyone from the bear. With Tod finally safe, Nurse Joy nurses him back to health and releases him back into the wild the following morning, reuniting with Vixey. Later on in the afternoon, Ash and Littlefoot meets up with Tod for the last time and asks him how he was still able to forgive him after all he and Amos put him through. He humbly tells them that while Big Mama was right about Copper becoming his enemy one day, he always knew he'll still be his best friend forever because he never gave up on their friendship. Though Tod wished Copper realized it sooner before he became his enemy, Ash assured him that he already had. Littlefoot and Ash sadly said they're going to miss him so much and Tod kindly told them that he will be okay as long as he lives with Vixey.

Tod Vulpes (DeltaForce)

Ash meets another version of Tod during the events of A Land Without Feelings, the first (and most likely only as of the time of writing) adventure of the first Care Bears movie. Ash comes across this time and space displaced Tod, mistaking him for his universe's version until he noticed the Magic Band he was sporting and figured something was up. Initially, their styles of facing danger were vastly different, but eventually during an encounter with Team Rocket, Ash braves up with Tod and with Dragonite's help, forced Team Rocket back for a bit in the Forest of Feelings. Even Tod learned a couple tricks, causing his Zettaflare to adopt a slight Electric property. Although their time with each other was short, Ash learned quite a bit from the fox and hopes to improve further as a Pokémon Master thanks to their brief team up, with Tod hoping he meets his universe's version of Ash at some point.

Vixey:

Ash first met Vixey when he and Littlefoot were talking with Tod for the final time towards the end. He and Littlefoot apologized to her for dragging her into their situation and they didn't mean to put her life in danger. They explain to her the truth behind Tod's strange connections to the hound dog, Copper: They've been best friends since they were puppies, and they didn't know they're supposed to be enemies. But because Amos trained Copper into becoming a hound dog during the winter, their friendship was nearly torn apart. And one night, Tod was falsely accused for supposedly hurting Chief when he got hit by a train. But in reality, it was just an accident. The boys ended the conversation by saying that they were only trying to be peacemakers and wanted to make Copper and Amos stop the senseless violence, so the bloodshed won't happen. Vixey, feeling sympathetic towards them and their team, humbly says to them that she understands. She tells them that Tod had told her everything about Copper and she was grateful for their efforts in calming him down. She then thanks them for saving her and for saving Tod.

Big Mama:

Big Mama acted motherly towards Ash and his friends. Big Mama comforts a hurt Ash after he and his friends were harshly ordered to stay away from Copper by Amos Slade. She also cautioned him not to interact with Amos' older dog Chief since he hated his visitors. Later, Big Mama felt very proud of Ash and his friends for talking out of Amos and Copper from killing Tod and Vixey. She also felt pleased since Ash and his friends started to get to know Amos and Chief.

Dinky and Boomer:

Ash formed a friendship with Dinky and Boomer. Dinky and Boomer along with Big Mama comforted a hurt Ash after being harshly told to stay away from Copper by Amos Slade. Later Dinky and Boomer felt very happy upon hearing that Ash, Littlefoot, and the gang saved Tod and Vixey.

Widow Tweed:

Mrs. Tweed serves as a grandmother figure towards Ash and his friends. Ash among with his friends were saddened to learn that Mrs. Tweed's husband passed away, she felt pleased for bringing baby Tod to raise him, Mrs. Tweed cautioned Ash and his friends to watch out for Amos Slade since he was grumpy. Mrs. Tweed comforts a nervous Ash who frets about Amos threatening to shoot Pikachu after Tod. Towards the end, Ash, Littlefoot, and their friends revealed to her that the reason why Amos is always so grumpy is because he has a family that's twice as big as hers and he misses them very much since they live far away. And because of that, he didn't have the money to go see them as much as he used to due to his poverty problems. To prove it, they show her a picture of his family and they gave Amos a bus ticket so he can have his lifelong chance of visiting his family once again. That kind gesture made her so emotionally that she had never seen her grouchy neighbor so happy before. With that, she promises to be a better neighbor to him and find a way to help him with his money problems while he can still go out hunting.

Porcupine (The Fox and the Hound):

Ash only interacted with the friendly porcupine twice while in the game preserve. The friendly porcupine gently taps Ash's ankle getting his attention as he asked him, Littlefoot and their friends if they're looking for someone. Ash is very calm towards him since he's very kind and he explained that he, Littlefoot and their friends are friends of a fox named Tod and they arrive at the game preserve to stop Amos Slade and Copper. The porcupine cautioned that Amos and Copper can be dangerous as he noticed their angry behavior and he also cautioned them to watch out for his rude, grumpy neighbor, Mr. Digger who is a badger. He also told them not to interact with Mr. Digger since he was aware with Tod's incident during his first night. Ash agreed to stay away from Mr. Digger and thanked the porcupine shaking hands with him. Later on, after cleaning up the game preserve, the porcupine who is on Ash's leg and asked if everything's all right. The porcupine explained to Ash, Littlefoot and his friends about Tod's incident with Mr. Digger which deeply worries the heroes. He felt glad that Ash, Littlefoot and their friends stayed true to his word earlier and grateful that they cleaned up the mess that Amos had made.

Dr. David Q. Dawson:

Dr. Dawson serves as a grandfather figure towards Ash and his friends. After Ratigan's death Dr. Dawson bandaged Ash who was wounded from his battle.

Olivia Flaversham:

Ash acts like a big brother towards Olivia. Ash felt sorry for Olivia since her father was kidnapped by Fidget the bat. Ash defends Olivia from Ratigan and Fidget. Olivia is fond of Ash's Pikachu, and she is really impressed with Ash's bravery.

Toby (The Great Mouse Detective):

Ash becomes attached to Toby as he takes a quick liking to him, Littlefoot, and his friends. Toby gives Ash affectionate licks, and he likes being petted, but Basil sternly told the kids that Toby is what he does for tracking and not a pet dog to play with and told them to leave him be which offends them. Later on, Basil understood why Toby likes Ash and his friends.

Lady:

Ash and Lady have a nice start. Lady views Ash as a sweet little boy and she adores his Pikachu. When her owners Jim Dear and Darling are expecting to have a baby, that makes Lady sad because they don't have time for her but Ash who comforts her and says to her "That's not true, Lady, nobody can never forget you not even Jim Dear and Darling." and Ash would offer to take Lady on a walk and play, Lady is totally grateful to Ash.

Tramp:

Upon meeting Tramp, Ash among with his friends weren't pleased with Tramp butting into their conversation with Lady. After Tramp saved Lady from the junkyard dogs, Ash was reluctant to trust him while he was still mad at Tramp for upsetting Lady and making fun of him, Misty and Brock since they're humans. Ash got really upset with Tramp for dragging Lady into chasing the chickens which led her being sent to the pound. However, after Tramp saved Jim Jr. from a vicious rat, Ash realizes he was wrong about him from the start. After saving Tramp from the pound, Ash apologized to him for misjudging him, so Tramp forgives him.

Jasmine gets along with Ash quite well. But when the Evil Queen Grimhilde captures her and uses her hair to make a potion to impersonate Jasmine to trick Ash to make him her king and overthrow Bowser. Ash formed a friendship with Genie. Ash felt entertained by Genie's shapeshifting, and whenever Genie changes his voice, it made Ash laugh. Genie magically fixes Ash's wounds occasionally whenever he gets hurt in battle.

Bob/Mr. Incredible serves as a father figure towards Ash, he is fond of him and his Pikachu. Helen/Elastigirl serves as a second mother to Ash. Ash and Ariel are great friends even though he had a small crush on her. When they first met, Ariel mistook Ash for a merperson and Ash inadvertently lied about his identity. However, when he discovered from Sebastian that her father, King Triton, who is the current sea king and ruler of Atlantica, has an intense grudge on all humanity due to pirates murdering Queen Athena on the day of their anniversary, he becomes worried about what would happen if she and everyone else in the kingdom discovered his identity along with his friends. So, during his visits, he and his friends kept their human heritages a secret from the sea king and from Ariel. Soon, Ariel became fascinated with the human world and longed to become a part of it, Ash felt torn between keeping his secret from Ariel and telling the truth. After she rescued Prince Eric from drowning during a storm and started falling in love with him, he becomes more uncomfortable in telling the truth than before. But when Sebastian accidently spilled the beans about Ariel's rescue of Prince Eric and Ash's human heritage that led to King Triton destroying his daughter's human treasures in barbaric rage, Ariel becomes devastated while Ash felt remorseful for hurting her feelings and breaking her trust along with her father's. Ash was later horrified when Ariel made a life-threatening deal to one of his most dangerous and powerful enemies he's ever faced in his life, Ursula, after she traded her voice in order to gain legs to be with Prince Eric. To atone for his misdeeds and reearn Ariel and King Triton's trust, Ash went through great lengths to help Ariel win Prince Eric's heart and protect her from Ursula throughout the course of the movie. In the end, after Ursula's defeat, Ariel forgave Ash for what he did, knowing why he lied to her that he and his friends are from another world. Ariel told Ash that she loves him as a brother. After being married to Prince Eric and given birth to a daughter named Melody, Ariel became more of a second mother to Ash Ketchum, but when Grimhilde returns as a ghost, Ariel was possessed by her. Ash feels a sense of guilt for putting herself in danger, but with the help of his Friends, the Rebels, the Power Rangers and the Ghostbusters, they managed to put their stalker in her place.

Ariel's Sisters:

Like Ariel, most of her sisters believed that Ash was a merperson like her. However, despite having learned that he and his team lied during their visits, they still valued them as their friends. This shows that unlike their father, who held a grudge against humans, they aren't judgmental towards them and have every urge to make friends with them while also forgiving them for any mistakes they make. They're very fond of Ash's Pikachu.

King Triton:

When Ash first met King Triton, he wasn't terribly friendly towards him. However, when he learned from Sebastian that he has an intense grudge on humans due to pirates murdering Queen Athena on the day of their anniversary, he becomes worried about what he was gonna do if he discovered the truth about his identity along with his friends. So, to protect his team from the king's temper tantrums, he kept everyone's human heritage a secret from him and from Ariel during their visits to Atlantica. Soon, Triton eventually began to warm up to Ash during their visits. But things later took a turn for the worse when Sebastian accidently spilled the beans and reveals Ash's secret along with Ariel's rescue of Prince Eric to the sea king, making him enraged. As Triton confronts his daughter as well as Ash's team in the grotto, he cruelly mistreated them by disrespectfully saying that they're just like every human he describes as "spineless, savage, harpooning, fish-eaters, incapable of any feeling!". Those harsh words inadvertently hurt Ash and his team to the core. But after he destroyed the grotto in a fit of anger when Ariel revealed that she loves Prince Eric, he becomes remorseful of his actions and believed that everyone's disappearance as well as his daughter's was his fault. In the climax of the film, when he learns that Ariel's in danger at the hands of Ursula, he reluctantly teams up with Ash's team to help save Ariel, hoping to atone for what he's done in the grotto. However, Ursula bribed the sea king into giving up his kingly status if he wants to save his daughter. With no choice, Triton signed the contract for Ariel's place and was reduced to a polyp, giving up his status as king to Ursula. When Ash learned about what Ursula did to Triton, he becomes enraged and battles her to the death while also giving out a speech about how humans cooperate to keep the planet safe. After Ash defeated and destroyed the wicked sea witch with Prince Eric's help, the evil spells on all her victims were reversed. The spell on King Triton was also reversed and his status as king was restored, permanently nullifying the contract for good. Triton later apologized for his behavior in the grotto and allowed Ariel to follow her heart and marry Prince Eric, much to Ariel's joy. He even allowed Ash and his team to come visit Atlantica as much as they want, much to their joy.

Near the end of the film, Ash saw that Melody made friends with a wild Squirtle as it defended her from Morgana and teamed up with her to help defeat the sea witch in the process. Seeing that they make an excellent team together like he does with Pikachu, he warmly gives Melody an empty Poké Ball and allows her to ask Squirtle if it wants to stay with her and her parents. Squirtle responds by joyfully jumping right into the Poké Ball. Once Squirtle was captured, Ash declares that it is her first captured Pokémon, and she'll consider it a gift for putting Morgana's plans to an end. Melody, touched by this kind gesture, hugs Ash out of gratitude. Since obtaining her Squirtle, Ash became Melody's mentor and would teach her all she needs to know about being a Pokémon trainer while help her develop her skills in battles.

Belle:

Ash and Pikachu got lost in the village, they ran into Belle, who walked into the village, and she offered them to stay at her home until Ash's friends find them. When Belle say there's no one to talk to her but Ash tells Belle that she's got them and she can always talk to him and Pikachu whenever she wants to, Belle is very grateful to Ash and since he and Pikachu became her first friend.

Alice often calmed down Ash as he expressed resentment towards the Wonderland residents. Alice comforted Ash during the trial as he complained about the Mad Hatter and March Hare's unbirthday song giving him a headache. Alice admired Ash for his bravery, and she appreciated him and his friends for sticking with her.

Peter Pan:

Ash first met Peter Pan when he and his friends were assigned to help Wendy babysit her brothers while the parents were away. During their time in Neverland, Ash slowly grew jealous of Peter due to his popularity and they became more like rivals than friends. After he reluctantly helped Peter save Tiger Lily from Captain Hook despite having difficulty cooperating with him, his own teammates began to ignore Ash and looked up to Peter more often. Feeling left out, Ash berated his friends for betraying him and not helping him when he needed them. This tension caused them to go their separate ways and split up, believing they were better off with Peter than with Ash. It wasn't until he learned about Captain Hook's plan of killing Peter with a time bomb wrapped in a box from Tinker Bell that Ash put his jealousy aside and saved Peter's life with Tinker Bell's help. While recovering from the explosion, Ash explained his dilemma to Peter and how much trouble his popularities had caused between him and his friends. Though he was sympathetic, Peter asked why he never told him about it before. Ash replied that it was because he and Peter weren't friends before. Upon hearing that, Peter apologized for being a jerk and for hurting him immensely. He explained that he just loved having so much fun, especially when it comes to fighting Hook and his pirate crew. Peter promises to be a better friend and to be more considerate if he gave him another chance, which Ash happily agrees to. Ash then apologizes to Peter for being a jerk and for being so jealous of him at Skull Rock, to which Peter forgives him for. Soon after reconciling, the boys spent a bit of time getting to know each other and made a friendly truce, ending their rivalry for good. After working together to save everyone and stop Captain Hook, Peter told the Lost Boys, Wendy, John, Michael, Misty, and Brock the story of everything Ash had been through since coming to Neverland. Out of deep gratitude and generosity for the remarkable hard work and effort he had done, Peter gave Ash something he wanted ever since coming to Neverland: the praise and recognition from its citizens, much to Ash's happiness. Since then, Ash and Peter came to good terms and became much better friends.

In the sequel, Ash and Peter's relationship seemed to have improved a lot since they made their truce and became better friends. After rescuing Wendy's daughter, Jane Darling, from Hook, Ash told Peter that the pressures of World War II caused her to grow up too fast and locked away her inner child, making her become strict and cynical as her grandfather once was before her. He then asked Peter and the Lost Boys to help Jane reunlock her inner child, show her how to have fun, lighten up, and open herself up to people. Peter and the Lost Boys were delighted to help, though it proved to be a more difficult task than Ash and Peter expected it to be. After Jane angrily blurted out that she didn't believe in Peter, magic, and fairies, Tinker Bell started becoming sick and it made both Ash and Peter worried. Upon learning that Tink's light would go out and die if they didn't get Jane to reconsider her disbelief, it became apparent that the situation was getting worse than he thought. Ash tells Peter that he and his friends would stay behind and look after Tinker Bell while he and the Lost Boys went out and looked for Jane, which Peter deeply appreciated. Peter even promised Ash that he and the boys would help Jane loosen up once they found her, which he did when they played a small game of treasure hunt. In the midst of celebrating Jane becoming the first Lost Girl, the game turned out to be a trap formulated by Captain Hook. Peter Pan and the Lost Boys were then captured and taken to the Jolly Roger. Jane quickly rushed back to Hangman's Tree to alert Ash and his friends about Peter's plight after helping to restore Tinker Bell's light. Upon hearing the shocking news, Ash was angry at Jane for disobeying his orders to stay away from Hook and putting Peter's life at risk. After seeing how remorseful Jane was when she broke down in tears and admitted that she wanted to make things right, he naturally forgave her. Ash became incredibly desperate to save his former rival from the deranged pirate who wanted to kill him so badly. After making Jane promise she'd change her ways, Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, Jane, and Tinker Bell formulated a rescue plan. Ash knew that they were gonna need as much help they could get, so they travelled to Mermaid Lagoon and the Indian Camp respectively to speak to the inhabitants and ask them for a helping hand in rescuing Peter. The mermaids provided aquatic weapons while the Indians provided arrows, bows, war paint, axes, and spears for the five heroes to use. They even went to a cave where they seek help from Captain Hook's old enemy, Tick-Tock Crocodile, so that he can act as their trump card for the rescue mission. With the battle preparations and rescue plan set in motion Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Brock, Jane, Tinker Bell, and the entire adventure team rushed to the Jolly Roger and successfully saved Peter Pan and the Lost Boys from the wicked Captain Hook. They soon sent the cowardly pirate and his crew packing, never to return and torment anyone ever again. In deep gratitude for the daring rescue, Peter escorted Ash, Jane, Pikachu, and their friends back home to London on Earth. After Peter spent time to see Wendy alone, Ash took Danny to see Peter fly away where they said goodbye and promised to see each other again one day.

Tinker Bell:

Ash met Tinker Bell when she and Peter Pan came to Wendy's home to find Peter's shadow. Though throughout the movie, Ash and Tinker Bell didn't interact much. Ash was deeply shocked that she purposely tried to hurt Wendy when she made the Lost Boys shoot her down upon arriving in Neverland. It wasn't until they finally interacted with each other during the climax of the movie where she alerted him about Peter's immediate danger of Hook's time bomb implanted in his hideout, ready to explode. With that, she quickly led Ash to Hangman's Tree and helped him save Peter's life from the horrific blast. This would seemingly cost Tinker Bell her own life. Miraculously, the blast didn't kill Tinker Bell but mortally wounded her. Seeing how much Tinker Bell meant to Peter, it reminded Ash about his friendships with Pikachu and most of his Pokémon from the past. Not wanting to let Tinker Bell die, Ash selflessly risked his life to find a way out of the rubble so that everyone can escape safely before the ruined hideout collapsed. Because of Ash's selflessness and newfound belief, Tinker Bell's light was restored and healed. After a while, Ash and Peter spent a bit of time getting to know each other while also reconciling for their past behavior. In the process, Tinker Bell felt sympathetic towards Ash upon hearing the story of the troubles he went through during his stay while also beginning to enjoy his company. Tinker Bell then apologized to Ash for attempting to hurt Wendy upon arriving to Neverland. Ash, having surprisingly matured upon saving Peter from the explosion, humbly forgave her for her actions and told her that he relates to her in some way. He told her that he knows to be overshadowed by someone who's better than others, and that he'd been through all of that with Peter. In the end she helped Ash and Peter battle Captain Hook and save Wendy, her brothers, the Lost Boys, Brock, and Misty. It was because of Tinker Bell that snapped Ash out of his depression and helped him open himself up to Peter. And with that, he was very grateful to Tinker Bell for helping him change for the better. In the sequel, Ash became more loyal to Tinker Bell when her light was starting to go out due to Jane's arrogant disbelief in magic and fairies. He and his friends were assigned to look after her while Peter and the Lost Boys went to look for Jane. Sometimes throughout the Pokémon/Peter Pan crossover movies Tinker Bell would lend Ash a helping hand with her pixie dust and allow him to fly, becoming one of Ash's trusted allies in the process.

Wendy Darling:

Wendy felt sympathetic for Ash when Misty and Brock picked Peter Pan over him and his influence caused a tension between them. After hearing about Ash's brave action of saving Peter Pan's life from Hook's deadly time bomb explosion with Tinker Bell's help, Wendy was deeply touched and mighty grateful for his bravery. When Ash attempted to apologize to Wendy for snapping at her at the Indian camp, she kindly forgave him and told him that she understood why he was angry. She then praised Ash for putting his jealousy aside and showing Peter Pan the meaning of cooperation, teamwork, compassion, and understanding. She then said to him that teaming up with Peter to defeat Hook and reconciling with his friends made her see that he had matured spectacularly. As a result of everything he's accomplished, she expressed how deeply proud she was of him and gave him a kiss.

Jane Darling:

Ash initially had a rocky start with Jane when he met her in the midst of a war in London. He and his friends bumped into her while they were running from the Blitz's incoming bombs. Luckily, Jane led them safely to a bomb shelter where her mother, Wendy, and her little brother Daniel are taking refuge. But when the bombing ceased and after witnessing a heated argument between her mother and little brother Daniel, Ash decided to speak with Jane alone. She calmly explained to him that because of the pressures of the war, she tried to change herself by growing up at a fast pace to show her mother that she's old enough to take care of herself. With that, she never had the time for fun, games, or listen to her mother's Peter Pan stories. Seeing that she's making the same mistakes her grandfather made, he told her the story about how practical, disbelieving, and strict her grandfather was. He then ended the conversation with if she really wanted what's best for her family, she should listen to her heart, or she'll lose them forever. Later that night Ash witnessed Jane being abducted by Captain Hook through the reflection in the bathroom mirror and alerted his friends before stowing away on Hook’s ship back to Neverland. With Peter Pan's help, they saved Jane just in time. While helping Jane to fly, Ash told her to always stay away from Captain Hook and to never fall for any of his trickery. However, Jane foolishly thought Ash's warning was one of her mother's nonsensical Peter Pan stories. Soon, she slowly began to warm up during her stay. However, due to her strict no-nonsense attitude she got from the war, things went from bad to worse when she was unable to fly and angrily blurted out that she didn't believe in magic. After spending a night on her own she bumped into Captain Hook and was tricked into making a deal to find his treasure in exchange for a ride back home to London. The next day, she slowly started to warm up to Peter Pan and the Lost Boys when they played a game of treasure hunt. After finding the treasure, she threw the whistle away and decided not to honor Hook's request. Peter and the boys praised Jane for finding the treasure and named her as the very first Lost Girl. However, Tootles found the whistle and blew it, inexplicably setting Hook's trap and getting Peter and the boys captured. Peter believed that Jane was a liar, a traitor, and that due to her not believing in fairies Tinker Bell's light was going out. Upon hearing this, she rushed to Hangman's Tree as fast as she could, but she seemingly arrived too late to save her. Ash somberly told her that Tinker Bell's light went out, but Jane's newfound belief in magic miraculously brought Tinker Bell back to life. Jane then told Ash and his friends about Peter Pan and the Lost Boys getting captured by Captain Hook, and that she unintentionally made them fall into Hook's trap after encountering him. Hearing this, Ash, along with his teammates, were appalled with what happened. In retaliation, Ash gave Jane the punishment she deserved when he angrily and rightfully scolded her for deliberately disobeying him, not heeding his warnings, and letting Hook take advantage of her no-nonsense personality so he can destroy Peter Pan. Jane remorsefully and tearfully apologizes to everyone for causing so much trouble and begged them to help her save Peter Pan. Ash, upon seeing how remorseful she is and how much she missed her family, reluctantly forgave her and said that they'd help her rescue Peter Pan on one condition; to promise to loosen up, have fun, never be too practical and strict, and never grow up too fast. Jane swore to this promise with a pinky swear. After remarkable planning and excellent bravery, Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, Tinker Bell, Jane and the entire adventure team rescued Peter Pan and the Lost Boys while also defeating Captain Hook for good. Upon celebrating their victory, Jane finally showed her kind and gentle nature she'd kept bottled up for a long time when she tended Ash's cut on his shoulder he'd gotten from his fight with Hook. Afterwards, Peter escorted everyone back to London. Jane, rejuvenated and changed for the better, happily started telling Danny stories about her adventures in Neverland. Jane then took her brother to the window to see Peter Pan and Tinker Bell fly away, and then she told Peter that she'd always believe in him. She then asks Ash about the story he told her, and then she finally understood what he was talking about. He was talking about her grandfather, George Darling, and asked how'd he knew about him. Ash simply replied that it was a gift and tells her that he was there and witnessed it all with his friends. He then tells her that the reason he told her about her grandfather was that he didn't want her life to end up like her grandfather's when he lost his childhood. She then embraced him with a hug and thanked him for changing her. Jane then asked Ash if he could tell her his stories about his first encounter with Peter Pan and the adventures he had with him, to which he was very much obliged to since he knew she'd tell his story to the next generation one day. Moments later, Jane's father, Edward Darling, returned home from the war, and Jane joyfully decided to introduce Ash and his friends to him.

Ash and his friends never knew about Prince Phillip until Aurora, both mentioned him to them, and that she was planning to meet up with him at the cottage on the evening of her 16th birthday. At first, they misunderstood her, thinking that she'd fallen in love with someone else and that she was denying her arranged marriage. They inadvertently hurt Aurora's feelings by telling her that she'd never see Phillip again, causing her to break down and cry. When Ash and his friends were taking her back to the castle, Aurora was still depressed. When Aurora was lured into Maleficent's trap and afflicted by the dreaded curse she’d received as an infant, the fairies with Ash and the gang’s help placed the kingdom under a sleeping spell until Aurora was awakened. In the process, they discovered that the boy she’d met, fallen in love with, and planned on meeting with was in fact her betrothed fiancé Prince Phillip. Remorseful for the terrible mistake they'd made, they rushed back to inform Prince Phillip. When they got to the cottage, they found the place wrecked and Phillip's hat lying on the floor. The group deducted that Maleficent had beaten them to Phillip, abducted him, and had taken him to the Forbidden Mountain as prisoner to prevent him from kissing Aurora. Because of that, Ash and the gang realized the trouble their misunderstandings had caused and that it was their fault for putting both Aurora and Phillip in danger. Determined to make it up to Aurora and set things right, Ash has the fairies lead everyone to the Forbidden Mountain. Once they got there, Ash leads the group on a rescue mission to find Prince Phillip and free him. After busting him out of the dungeon, they explained the whole story to the prince while the fairies gave him a shield and sword. While escaping the castle Ash, his friends, and the fairies helped Phillip ward off the goons and avoid several obstacles so he could get to Aurora's tower. Before they could get there, they were challenged to a deadly battle with Maleficent in her dragon form. Though Ash wanted to help, the fairies told him that Phillip could handle her and was brave enough. In a last-ditch effort, Ash commanded the fairies to make Phillip's sword stronger with an enchantment that would be powerful enough to destroy any traces of evil. That turned out to be a successful spell, as it was powerful enough to destroy Maleficent for good. After that, Ash and his friends led Phillip to the tower where Aurora was sleeping and let him kiss her to break the curse so they could live happily ever after. Phillip and Aurora forgave Ash and his friends for misunderstanding them and for putting them in danger.

Elisa Maza:

Elisa is Ash's older cousin. Elisa is fond of her younger cousin and his Pikachu, as she would often see him as a little brother of hers.

When Ash first met Goliath, he felt nervous at first, as he thought Goliath and his clan were going to eat him. Goliath kindly assured Ash that him and his clan meant him no harm. Once Ash got to know Goliath more he served as a father figure towards him, and he kindly addressed Ash as a son. Goliath and Ash form a father-son like bond since they're both leaders. Ash would often help Goliath and his clan defeat Demona and the other villains who attempt to kill him and his clan. Goliath often carries Ash safely in his arms whenever he's in danger or gets injured. Goliath sometimes tells Ash to get behind him. Goliath often calms Ash down when he's angry, scared or frustrated. Goliath is deeply fond of Ash's Pikachu, and he often pets him gently. Goliath often comforts Ash when he's really sad. When Goliath cautioned Ash not to go anywhere near his ex-mate Demona or try to reason with her since she hated humans, Ash agreed to stay far away from Demona and kept his promise to never, ever leave Goliath's side. When Elisa got hospitalized, Ash felt deeply worried about his cousin Elisa as he's starting to cry Goliath gently comforts Ash that he has to be brave for her and he revealed to Ash that Elisa is all right.

Angela:

Angela acts like an older sister towards Ash. She often saves Ash from her mother Demona. Angela is fond of Ash's Pikachu. Ash and Angela were both annoyed with Brookyln, Broadway, and Lexington fighting over her.

Ash and Rapunzel get along well like Mother and son, after Rapunzel hides Flynn Rider (aka Eugene Fitzherbert) Ash, Pooh and the others were wondering what happened to him, so Ash and Pikachu go investigate along with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Littlefoot, Cera, Jimmy Cricket, SpongeBob SquarePants, Suri, Korra and Asami Sato. They didn't know Rapunzel was hiding, she was about to attack them but she noticed Ash's left foot hurt (after were being chased by the guards and they think they are working for Flynn Rider) Rapunzel come out from a hiding spot, at first Ash, Pikachu, Pooh and the others are worried that Rapunzel is going to hit them with a frying pan but after she see Ash's left foot hurt, Rapunzel help Ash heal his left foot, before she did that she told them not to freak out or tell anyone about her magical hair. They promise not to. After Ash is all healed, they hear Mother Gothel, she just returned, Rapunzel quickly hide them in her room while the others outside the tower find themselves places to hide too. Ash understands Rapunzel's first time out of the tower, just like his first time out of Pallet Town. Before the end Ash comes to Rapunzel's rescue from Mother Gothel while the others take care the the villains, Ash remembered what Rapunzel said before something about losing the power when her hair's cut off. Rapunzel says ("Once it's cut, it turns brown and loses its power.") So, Ash order Sirfetch'd to cut Rapunzel's hair and Gothel got shocked with horror. Rapunzel is grateful to Ash for rescuing her. Sometimes later Ash and Rapunzel spend some time together and Rapunzel would help Ash to learn how to draw and paint.

Cassandra became good friends with Ash after they first met. She would often teach Ash some skills of swordsmanship, which he would often use in battle. Even after she went rogue on him, Rapunzel, and their friends, Ash would still be one of the few people who believed she'd return to their side. When she lost the power of the moonstone after Zhan Tiri betrayed her, him and Rapunzel would help sympathize with her when she expressed remorse for what she’d done.

Pinocchio:

Ash acts like a big brother towards Pinocchio. When Pinocchio dies from a giant wave while trying to save his father, Ash felt really sad. When Pinocchio becomes a real boy, Ash was overjoyed.

Ash formed a friendship with the Teen Titans. He would help them defeat their arch-enemy Slade and all of the other villains. Since Ash has helped them so much, they see in him that he has the heart and soul of a Teen Titan. They even gave him a communicator so he could give them a call whenever he's in trouble and needs their help, or whenever they're in trouble and they need his help. Ash would often tell the Teen Titans stories about his past adventures, which they grew very fond of hearing. After their conflict with Terra the Titans admitted to Ash that his friend Serena is a wonderful pacifist when it comes to drastic situations, and that he's so lucky to have someone like her. After hearing Ash's speech about Serena and Terra's heroism to Raven, Robin was deeply impressed with his wisdom and realized that Ash was wiser than he thought.

Robin (Dick Grayson):

Ash formed a brotherly bond with Robin since they're both leaders. Ash would sometimes assist Robin in the most dangerous missions, which he doesn't seem to mind at all. When Ash tells stories about his past adventures, his heroism in those stories intrigued Robin very much to the point that he saw something very special in him. Prior to the conflict with Terra, Ash received the communicator from Robin for helping the Titans so much in the past. However, he was also told by him to always remember that using it should not to be taken lightly. Possessing the Titans' communicator is a lot of responsibility and it'll only make good use for whenever there is trouble. He then told him to only use it when he’s in trouble or when him and his team are in trouble. With that, Ash understood and promised to take good care of the communicator.

Starfire:

Ash formed a friendship with Starfire. Ash really loves hearing stories about Planet Tamaran from Starfire while she loves hearing his stories about his past adventures. She is really fond of Ash's Pikachu. At one point, he was angered when Starfire was mistreated by an alien named Val-Yor. Because he learned from her that whenever he called her, "Troq," he said that she's worthless and inferior. For it had become clear to Ash that Val-Yor hates Tameranians including Starfire. So, in an act of friendship, he, along with everyone else, stood up for Starfire and told Val-Yor to back off.

Cyborg:

Ash formed a brotherly bond with Cyborg. He enjoys hearing Cyborg's catchphrase, "Boo-yah!" for it makes him laugh. After hearing his tragic story about how he became part robot, how he was pushed out of social life, and how he never got to finish high school and live a normal human life because of his appearance, Ash felt sympathetic towards him. Ash then humbly told Cyborg that while he may be mostly half robot on the outside, on the inside is where he’s mostly human. Whenever Ash tells stories about his past adventures, Cyborg felt amazed at all the journeys Ash went through.

Beast Boy:

Ash formed a brotherly bond with Beast Boy. Although he is not fond of his corny jokes, Ash is really impressed with Beast Boy's ability to change into all kinds of animals. Beast Boy is also impressed with Ash's Pikachu shocking the bad guys. When Ash learned about how he was treated unfairly by Mento, the leader of the Doom Patrol, he felt sorry for him. Ash comforted him and told him that sometimes parents like Mento don't understand what their children are capable of. He then told him that in order to earn Mento's appreciation and acceptance for what is he, he needed to show him how to find better ways to be a hero as long as he believes in himself. He is also fond of hearing Ash tell stories about his past adventures. Ash, along with Serena, become worried about Beast Boy when he was struggling to get Terra, who was revived from her petrification, to return to the team, but had no memory of everything she'd gone through: her powers, having friends, and her experience with Slade. After the girl left Beast Boy one last time, both Ash and Serena went up to him, comforted him, and talked to him themselves like the good older brother and sister figure they are. They tell him that while they understand that growing up, letting go of the past, and change is hard and it will hurt, embracing the future and living a happy life with the people they love is something that'll never change.

Raven:

Raven is good friends with Ash. Despite her sarcastic attitude, she cares very deeply about him and his friends. She appears to enjoy hearing Ash's stories about his past adventures, for his heroism in those stories has impressed her immensely.

In the aftermath of Slade's conquest with Terra, Raven never wanted to admit that she felt responsible for causing Serena's depression over Terra's death due to her lack of trust in her. Ash would then remind her of the moment she, her team, and everyone else witnessed Serena shedding tears and how sad she felt during her final confrontation with Terra. He even reminded her about how she admitted to Serena that she was wrong about Terra being truly evil and being a liar as well as a spy. He then pointed out that if it hadn't of been for Serena, it would've taken everyone who doubted her too long to realize how strong her friendship was with Terra. He also explains that if it hadn't of been for both Serena and Terra, the city would've been destroyed by Slade and she and her teammates would've been goners. He believed that they deserve a lot of praise for being heroes and saving the day, and that they have every right to receive that kind of honor more than anyone else and that Raven that she should've known that by now. After hearing Ash's speech, Raven realized that he did make a good point and finally admitted that she and her teammates had indeed went overboard with their thirst for vengeance. To make things better for Terra, she went along with Ash's plan in building a memorial site so that everyone could remember Terra and miss her together.

Later on, she felt regret for accidentally hurting Ash while lashing out at her friends who’d tried to throw her a party on her birthday. She even overheard him question her behavior from outside their room but didn't bother to but it on their talk. It's most likely because of her regret for hurting him during her outburst, she fears that Ash might not forgive her after that. But later that same night, Raven was attacked by the newly revived Slade and, using his newfound demon powers, he delivered a horrifying message by burning red markings onto her skin and showed her a bleak vision of the future. Luckily, Robin, Tino, and Ash saved her in time. With Raven safe, she atoned her misdeeds as she healed Ash's injuries and apologized for hurting him. Eventually, Ash forgives her and tells her to let bygones be bygones before the boys escort her home. Soon, the gang threw her another party for her, but this time, she calmly agrees to celebrate it, much to their happiness and relief. Before celebrating, Tino, Ash and Robin tell Raven they'll protect her from Slade the next time he attacks her again. Sometime after, the gang began to do research on the strange symbol Slade had on his head. However, Robin started to become worried about Raven's strange behavior and asked Ash and Tino to go spy on her and see what she was up to. They managed to do so and learned that she was desperately hoping to seek help from her mother, Arella, in Azarath. Ash and Tino were both deeply horrified when they discovered that Azarath had been destroyed and Arella, along with all of the denizens, had perished at the hands of Raven's evil demonic father Trigon. Shortly after returning to the old library, they found Raven brutally beating up Slade right after saving Tino's gang and the remaining Titans. Just when she was about to finish him off Ash and Tino quickly restrained her and told her to stop, calming her down in the process. It went to show that Ash and Tino are some of the few people that can easily handle Raven with no difficulty, and that they don't seem to fear her losing her cool at all. Soon after, Raven learned about her dark destiny to become the portal which would allow Trigon to enter Earth and destroy it. After hearing her tragic story and learning what Trigon did, Ash swore to protect Raven at any cost. After Raven became the portal and her evil father destroyed the world Ash, while barely surviving, didn't believe that Raven was gone forever. He discovered from Slade that Raven was still alive, but that her human side was being held prisoner in Trigon's underworld. Not wanting to let his close friend be doomed to oblivion, Ash went with Robin, Tino, Sunset, Shido, and Slade to rescue Raven from Trigon's prison. During the final battle with Trigon, Ash saved Raven from being killed by his powerful blasts. He then gave Raven an inspirational speech about families staying together through impossible odds, and that he was willing to give up his own life for her. With that, Raven gained the courage to step out of her father's shadow and destroy him once and for all. Afterwards, Raven healed Ash and thanked him for saving her life as well as giving her the strength to stop Trigon for good. Soon after, Raven came to view Ash as a more valuable and honorable friend.

Bruce Wayne/Batman:

Ash often backs up Batman fighting the Joker, the Penguin, Two-Face and all of the other bad guys in Gotham City. Ash felt sorry for Batman since he lost his parents as a child, and even for how his first chance to for happiness was ruined thanks to the likes of crime boss, Salvatore Valestra for getting him and his very first, love Andrea A.K.A. the Phantasm separated.

Ash saw that what Casper really wanted he was a friend, and he told him that he could be his friend which made Casper feel happy. Casper is fond of Ash's Pikachu, so he pets him much to Pikachu's happiness. Pikachu would help Casper find Ash. Ash felt appalled when Casper's uncles the Ghostly Trio treated him like a slave and did not hesitate to defend him. Casper was impressed with Ash's bravery when he stood up to Brock Lee, Leon, Danny, Desmond Spellman, Josh Jackman, Carrigan, and Dibs. Casper let's Ash know about a mean girl named Amber who picks on Kat, and he praised Ash for telling off Amber and Vic. Ash enjoys flying with Casper in the sky. Ash felt entertained by and laughed at Casper's shapeshifting. Ash was saddened to learn that Casper died from pneumonia when he was out in the cold for too long. Ash felt surprised to learn that Casper's last name is Mcfadden. Ash kindly told Casper that it doesn't matter if he's a ghost or a human, and that what he is a true-blue friendly friend inside and out. Casper felt deeply touched by Ash's praise.

Chris Carson:

In Pooh's Adventures of Casper: A Spirited Beginning, Ash formed a brotherly bond with Chris. Ash felt sorry for Chris since his father neglected him. Ash defended Chris from three bullies named Brock Lee, Leon, and Danny. Chris is fond of Ash's Pikachu. Ash comforts Chris when Chris's father refuses to attend the parent-teacher conference after arguing with Chris's father. Ash was saddened to learn that Chris' mother had passed away two years before meeting him. Chris was impressed upon seeing Ash's Pikachu shock Brock Lee, Leon, and Danny with his thunderbolt as revenge for almost getting him and Chris killed. Ash felt deeply touched as Chris reconciled with his dad.

Tim Carson:

Ash felt deeply worried about Tim since he had a strained relationship with his son, Chris due to being workaholic, neglecting him too many times and wanting to destroy Applegate Mansion.

Ash was deeply appalled by the way Wendy's aunts treated her, and he got really mad at them after the dance. Ash defended Wendy from an arrogant rude boy named Josh Jackman and an evil warlock named Desmond Spellman. After Desmond's defeat, Wendy was amazed by Ash's bravery and heroism.

Kat Harvey:

In Pooh's Adventures of Casper, Ash formed a brother sister like bond with Kat. Ash felt sorry for Kat since she’d lost her mother and hardly had any friends since she moved nine times with her father Dr. James Harvey. Kat kindly told Ash that he's lucky to have a mother. Kat is fond of Ash's Pikachu. Ash and his friends were deeply touched when they hear the story of Kat's mother. Kat was impressed when Ash's Pikachu shocked Carrigan's partner in crime Dibs.

Ash forms a brotherly bond with Richard while him and his friends helped him get over his fears. Ash felt sorry for Richard since he was afraid of everything, and he told Richard that it's okay to be scared occasionally. When Richard first met Ash's Pikachu, he nervously asked Ash if he bites, and Ash assured Richard that he's harmless. Richard quickly warmed up to Ash's Pikachu and took a liking to him. Ash defended Richard from the kids who picked on him, Mr. Hyde, a white whale, Long John Silver and his pirate crew, and a dragon. Richard felt amazed upon seeing Ash's Pikachu shocking Long John Silver's pirate crew. In the end, Ash praised Richard for his bravery. When they got home from their adventure Ash agreed to let his Pikachu sleep with Richard in the treehouse, along with Misty's Togepi.

When Ash and his Alolan classmates were sucked into an unstable dimensional rip and separated from their home and Pokémon (later revealed to be the cause of the T-Drive engine from the 2015verse's Zero-X), Jeff was at first rather sceptical of their supposed circumstances that had landed them in the hangar for Thunderbird 2. This changed when Brains confirmed that their arrival occurred at the same time as a spacial rend, he had picked up, connecting the dots together. When the billionaire of five sons understood this and the fact that Ash and his friends were strangers to his world, he was more than willing to look after them until a new rip could be created to send them back to their dimension. Since Ash and his friends had knowledge of Jeff’s family being an International Rescue (which at the time was nearly ready to begin operating), Jeff offered to train them to be part of the team to keep their secret.

During this time whenever missions weren’t going on, he spent some of his free time getting to know Ash and where he came from. Jeff ended up becoming a father-like figure to Ash during the trainer's stay on Tracy Island. A "lost episode" set before the events of the first movie has him tell the boy about the origin story of how International Rescue came to be, having trusted him enough by that point to consider him a sixth son of sorts. Like all the Tracy family members and the rest of International Rescue, they expressed worry during the finale titled "Thunderbirds Go On" when they eventually lost contact with the Alola class as they travelled through the rip in a desperate attempt to get back to Alola. Jeff, his family, and the rest of the International Rescue members firmly held onto the hope that they would make it. When life continued on without them, they still held a strong feeling that someday they would return under less drastic circumstances. Jeff personally holds hope to see Ash again when he can return to their dimension safely.

The Chipmunks:

Ash formed a brotherly bond with Alvin and his brothers Simon and Theodore. Ash defended the chipmunks from two diamond smugglers named Klaus and Claudia, a mad doctor named Dr. Frankenstein, Lawerence Talbot in his werewolf form and a greedy Jett Records music executive producer named Ian Hawke.

When Ash and his Alolan classmates first arrived in the world Spectrum to keep watch as global security, he was quick to befriend Scarlet whom he received most of his training to become a Spectrum officer (eventually becoming Captain Onyx in Series 2). The pair were killed and revived by the Mysterons in an effort to crash Skybase. They died again at the hands of Captain Blue whose gunshots sent them hurtling into an energy beam that broke the Mysterons' control over them, whilst also letting them retain their ability of retro-metabolism. When their friends, classmates, and Spectrum personal found it difficult to trust them (save for Colonel White, Destiny Angel and Doctor Gold), Ash found it easy to confide with Scarlet who kept him from spiralling into depression by reminding him his actions from their resurrection would speak louder than their words. In return in future episodes, Scarlet would find it easy to confide in Ash in scenarios where he ponders if being indestructible would have its own consequences for those around them.

Destiny was already a well-known acquaintance to Ash and initially was one of the few other than Scarlet, Doctor Gold or Colonel White willing to trust him after his initial possession by the Mysterons when most of his classmates were certain he would try to kill them again. Much like other Spectrum personal, he is close friends with Destiny, though it wouldn't be until the Season 2 episodes Virus and Enigma when he would come to view her as an older sister. In the latter episode's ending after the Mysterons gave false hope to Ash and Scarlet that they could change the past so the war of nerves would never start, Ash was utterly devastated after previously going through motions throughout Ash's Adventures of New Captain Scarlet on questioning if he was even still real. Although his friends would try to console him, it would be Destiny who would finally snap him out of it by reminding him that he isn't the only one that has gone through similar motions (though she does sympathize that a child should never have had to go through what the Mysterons did to him at the start of the series) and that he's still responsible for his own free will still being alive.

Alakay/Alex the Lion:

When Ash first met Alex after he broke out of the zoo in New York and got transferred, him and his friends thought he was wild and vicious due to his giant teeth. When everyone fell overboard and ended up on the island of Madagascar however, Ash started to understand Alex more and realized that he wasn’t such a bad lion. Upon seeing how much he missed New York and how he tried so hard to return to the zoo, he walked over to him and attempted to befriend him by offering him some raw fish he’d caught. Alex, touched by Ash's kindness, became fast friends with him as Ash was the first human to ever come in contact with him and not be afraid. In the next several hours however, Alex's hunger got the best of him and started acting wild. This inadvertently scared his old and new friends. When Littlefoot, Ash, and Marty attempted to snap Alex out of his wild state they were attacked by fossa. Alex, remembering the kindness Ash gave him on the night they first met, overcame his wild state and saved everyone from the fossa. With that Ash, Littlefoot, and the gang decided to help Alex return to New York by plane.

But as they were halfway across the world, the plane's engines went haywire, and the plane crash-landed in Africa where Alex meets up with his long-lost parents. Seeing how happy Alex was with his parents, Ash began questioning if returning him and his friends to New York would bring them happiness or not. After seeing Alex being tricked by Makunga into humiliating himself at the right of passage ceremony and later banished from the pride, he was outraged. Sooner or later, the watering hole dried up due to the crazy old woman leading a group of lost tourists to build a dam. Ash went with Alex and Marty to go unclog the dam so they could get their water back, but unfortunately Alex ended up getting captured in the process. Marty and Ash ran back to get help from Melman, Gloria, Littlefoot, Scooby-Doo, and the gang. After fixing the plane Ash and the group came and saved Alex and his father Zuba from the crazy old woman, destroyed the dam, brought the water back, and banished Makunga from the reserve. As Alex and his friends happily danced away with Zuba and Florrie, Ash began to believe that they were better off living free in Africa rather than going back to the zoo in New York.

Ash later reunited with Alex and the gang on the circus train when they were being chased by Chantal DuBois. He became very suspicious as to why Alex and his friends were in Europe when they should’ve been in Africa with Zuba and Florrie. Alex lied to him by saying that they were on vacation, and they thought they could travel Europe before heading back to Africa. After he inadvertently spilled the beans when he said that the train was a ticket back to New York however, Ash was angered at his deception and knew it was another one of his selfish schemes to go back to New York. Although Alex was confused at first, Ash decided to give him a choice to where his true happy home is: the zoo or the circus. Ash then left with a warning that if Alex truly cared about Gia and the circus, him and his friends must tell them the truth for it's not fair to them nor him and his team. Ash remained angry with Alex throughout the entire process of renovating the circus, even after performing a spectacular performance in London. When Chantal DuBois arrived and exposed Alex's secret to the circus, Ash, Littlefoot, Mickey, Ttark, and the gang accused Alex of calling everyone stupid and naïve idiots for falling for someone's dishonesty. As the circus animals left, Littlefoot, Ash, Ttark, and everyone else expressed their disappointment in Alex's dishonest actions. Alex had not only broken the trust in his old and new friends, but in the girl, he fell in love with. As a result of his selfish actions Ash and his gang turned their backs on Alex and his friends, but not before smasing Alex’s snowglobe he’d gotten as a souviner from the zoo as a symbol of their anger towards him. Upon arriving in New York, Alex and the gang realized that the zoo was not as great as they thought it was. With that, Alex came to realize what Ash had been trying to tell him and his friends all along: they were free when they weren’t in the zoo. Alex also realized that because of his and his friend’s selfish desire to return to captivity, they took their freedom for granted. They then saw that when they were with Zuba and Florrie in Africa and with Gia and the circus animals, they were already home. Alex decided to go back and tell Ash, Littlefoot and the circus that they were wrong about the zoo being their permanent home. Before he could however, him and his friends were ambushed and captured by DuBois and her men. Julien managed to escape and showed the circus animals, Ash, and Ash’s friends what had happened. At first Ash didn't want to help them and stayed behind, but thanks to the words of encouragement from Stefano, Gia, Vitaly, and Skipper, Ash returned to the zoo and helped in the rescue by announcing to the crowd DuBois's true nature. Things get out of hand when Stefano ended up getting into serious trouble as DuBois captured him. Ash ran over and attempted to help him, but DuBois stabbed him in the thigh and threw him in the penguin habitat full of cobras. Ash called out to Marty to help him, but Marty told Ash that Alex was on his way to get him and to hold on a little longer. Just as Marty said, Alex grabbed Ash before the cobras could bite him and got him to safety before finishing off DuBois. After defeating DuBois, Alex and his friends begged for Ash's forgiveness, and promised to never take advantage of other people's trust nor take their freedom for granted ever again. With the combination of Alex saving his life, his apology for his selfishness, and his decision to live with the circus instead of the zoo, Ash happily forgave them and his friendship with Alex was restored for the better.

In Pooh's Adventures of Turning Red while battling Panda Ming, Pikachu gets hit and Alex saves it as Ash thanks him.

Marty:

Ash formed a friendship with Marty. Unlike Alex, who cares about going back to living at the zoo in New York, Ash doesn't seem to mind Marty's decision to live free from the zoo. At times Marty would let Ash ride on his back, even during times of danger.

Melman:

Upon learning about Charlie's past crimes, Ash wasn't terribly trusting towards Charlie and referred to him as a "back-stabbing mongrel". After seeing him warm up to Anne-Marie however, Ash slowly started to see that there could still be some goodness in the misguided dog. Throughout the movie him, Littlefoot, and the others decided to bring out the goodness in him by showing him that vengeance is not always the right answer and that money isn't always everything. They even taught him about love, friendship, loyalty, trust, compassion, understanding, courage, and honesty. When Annie-Marie ran got sick with pneumonia and was taken hostage by Carface Ash, Littlefoot and the gang went with Charlie to go save her. During the battle, the casino ship caught fire. Charlie told everyone to get out of there. Ash didn’t want to leave Charlie and wanted to help him save Anne-Marie. Charlie insisted that he'd be fine, and ordered him to take care of Littlefoot and his team since it was all his fault Anne-Marie got involved in his feud with Carface. With no other choice, Ash reluctantly did as Charlie told him and left to join the others. Charlie managed to get Anne-Marie to safety, but he could not save his life-watch as it filled up with water and stopped working. That caused him to drown and die underwater. Upon learning from Killer that Charlie died while saving Anne-Marie, Ash and his friends were devastated. To honor Charlie's sacrifice Ash, Littlefoot, and his team did a private funeral for him and saluted him as an honorary hero who gave his life for a sad and lonely little girl.

Ash and Pikachu comforted Ron as they mourned his death that was caused by a scorpion. After being returned to their normal size, Ron introduced Ash and others to his parents. Ron and Ash enjoyed their time together at camp.

To say that Ash and Jotaro got off to the best of starts would unfortunately be an overstatement. Jotaro's offstandish behaviour and rude words would often put him at odds with Ash throughout most of the eventual journey of the Stardust Crusaders. The trainer at first didn't take kindly to Jotaro after witnessing him brushing off his own mother after being released from prison and returning to school, even to the point they would end up getting into arguments with Ash often being the more vocal of the two and despite their relationship briefly straining when Jotaro was willing to bet Holly's soul just to force D'arby to surrender to his bluff over protecting the secret of DIO's stand instead, the two of them had gotten along better towards the end of their journey to DIO's Mansion. They are willing to put each other's differences aside when they or their friends are in grave danger and have been known to agree on things every now and again, having fought DIO back to back with Jotaro playing a crucial role in helping Ash see and briefly move in DIO's stopped time.

Throughout Diamond is Unbreakable, Ash and Jotaro are shown to have complete trust within one another to the point the two of them work together as an efficient team despite their occasional disagreements. Their relationship however had strained again when Ash and co were sent hurtling through time for the final time (by DIO Over Heaven) and he found out that Jotaro's bond with his former wife and Jolyne had been shattered and thus found friction between the two of them once again. By the time the two were close to fully reconciling however, that was the moment that Jotaro made the ultimate sacrifice to save Jolyne from Pucci, resulting in his own death. Ash mourned Jotaro (and eventually Jolyne's) deaths with great grief as he and Emperio still had to battle Pucci to ensure their sacrifices weren't in vain, eventually resulting in Emperio's ultimate victory where only a small portion of the prior timeline was rewritten.

When that reset had taken place, Ash found himself reliving the journey of the Stardust Crusaders once again before he and Jotaro would come across the burning pages of DIO's diary. Throughout their travels through time and alternate universes together with their friends and the Joestar Bloodline from all points of history, Ash managed to have some effect on Jotaro to the point he softened up a little around his friends, family (and future daughter) and eventually, after defeating DIO Over Heaven (who summoned Ash to various points in the timeline all that time in an effort to destabilize it) once and for all together alongside their companions, Jotaro managed to restore the timeline to mostly how it had played out and with Ash's advice had managed to make amends with Jolyne permanently, ensuring that she wouldn't have to grow up all on her own. Following this and the good future Emperio had achieved from defeating Pucci in the prior timeline, Jotaro whilst still offstandish and tough has otherwise become a better man because of Ash (much to his own annoyance) and is always on hand with Star Platinum Over Heaven to assist him, wherever and whenever he needs it.

Despite having arrived in her world with his Alolan Classmates prior to their first adventure together, Ash only knew of Lara by reputation much like many who were familiar with her line of work before they first met. At first, she was initially hesitant to allow him and his friends to tag along for her quest for the Scion, partly out of concern for their safety in the dangerous territories she would visit, but following their efforts to collaborate to advance in the perilous situations ahead of them and their own suspicions of the mysterious Jacqueline Natla, the two of them have worked together to uncover the secrets of many a forgotten civilization and history and outdoing those that would dare use those secrets for darker purposes.

Although Ash isn't one for being much of a history 'geek' as his friends would sometimes tease him about (unless it had anything to do with Legendary Pokémon and related myths), by Legend, he's shown to display more appreciation for the beauty and wonder of certain ancient architectures because of the places he's visited alongside Lara and even he admits he owes that sort of self-discovery to her efforts. Although he knows she can be capable of handling nearly anything, if something on their quests makes her past come back to haunt her, he knows when to provide emotional support for her and when he needs to give her space to allow her to process these thoughts on her own.

Ash first saw Fifi and the other orphan girls the moment he saw his friend, Madeline, being pulled into the lace factory by Henri, who pretended to be her supposed uncle as an attempt to lure her into Madame LaCroque's clutches. Upon seeing the horror of how LaCroque runs the system of her factory, Ash and his partner, Pikachu, pitied them all. But out of all of the oppressed children he took pity on besides Madeline, he pitied Fifi the most because of the severity of her illness. After visiting Madeline, Fifi, and the factory girls in their jail cells in secret, Ash and Pikachu concocted a plan. Their plan was to lead his entire team, the eleven little girls, Pepito, Miss Clavel, and the police to where Madeline is, save them all from LaCroque's tyranny, and shut down her evil operation for good. The following day, Ash and Pikachu led everyone to Madeline's location. And just when LaCroque was about to harm her, they rush into the shop and came to the children's rescue. Miss Clavel and the police arrive in time to arrest her along with Henri, putting an end to the LaCroque's lace factory enterprise for good. Soon after Madeline opened up a new school for her new friends, Fifi and the former factory girls now look up to Ash as one of the many kind people who helped deliver them from slavery.
