Ash initially thought Bagheera was going to attack Mowgli during their first meeting. Mowgli quickly cleared the misunderstanding. Bagheera became friends with Ash as he agreed to help him take Mowgli back to the man-village where he'd be safe from Shere Khan. Bagheera cares very deeply about Ash, as he told him to stop blaming himself for losing his temper towards Mowgli. Ash often rides on Bagheera's back whenever there's danger. Bagheera felt horrified upon seeing Ash get injured by Scrappy-Rex. After Ash got injured by Scrappy-Doo in his monster form, Bagheera advised Ash to stay in bed. Bagheera often calms Ash down whenever he's angry or frustrated. Sometimes Bagheera prevents Ash from fighting villains in their monster forms, so he doesn't get hurt or killed. Bagheera acts like a father-figure towards Ash, and he often addresses him as son.
