Ash and Kanga get along really well. Kanga is very motherly towards him, and whenever he tries to prove his point, she talks some sense into others or straightens out a series of misunderstandings, she'll step up and tell him/her to back down and let Ash finish when they try to protest him. When Ash goes and saves Roo from dangerous situations, Kanga is very grateful. For instance, when Roo was trapped in a lava lake created by Jafar while saving his group, Kanga becomes worried when she discovers that her son was not among the group. But Ash bravely runs down the bridge he created and rescued Roo in time while getting his arm burned.
