Ash only interacted with the friendly porcupine twice while in the game preserve. The friendly porcupine gently taps Ash's ankle getting his attention as he asked him, Littlefoot and their friends if they're looking for someone. Ash is very calm towards him since he's very kind and he explained that he, Littlefoot and their friends are friends of a fox named Tod and they arrive at the game preserve to stop Amos Slade and Copper. The porcupine cautioned that Amos and Copper can be dangerous as he noticed their angry behavior and he also cautioned them to watch out for his rude, grumpy neighbor, Mr. Digger who is a badger. He also told them not to interact with Mr. Digger since he was aware with Tod's incident during his first night. Ash agreed to stay away from Mr. Digger and thanked the porcupine shaking hands with him. Later on, after cleaning up the game preserve, the porcupine who is on Ash's leg and asked if everything's all right. The porcupine explained to Ash, Littlefoot and his friends about Tod's incident with Mr. Digger which deeply worries the heroes. He felt glad that Ash, Littlefoot and their friends stayed true to his word earlier and grateful that they cleaned up the mess that Amos had made.
