Ash strongly dislikes Swackhammer, since he was the reason why the Monstars have been acting like bullies and he was also appalled by the fact Swackhammer wanted to make the Monstars win the game by any means necessary and wanting Michael Jordan as his new attraction at his failing theme park Moron Mountain. At the end of the game when Swackhammer crossed the line by berating the Monstars for losing the game, kicking Pikachu and calling him a freak. A furious Ash tried to stand up to Swackhammer but is brushed off and gets pushed in front of the Monstars. Then Ash's Pikachu is furious upon seeing this so, he comes to Ash's defense. Swackhammer becomes scared upon seeing Pikachu's sparks sputter from his cheeks. Then Pikachu shocked Swackhammer with his thunderbolt, which amazed the Monstars.
