Ash strongly dislikes Dick since he wanted to steal the Chemical X so he can manufacture a security system and make money off of it. When Dick mutated into a monster, captured the girls and attempted to kill them by draining out the Chemical X to continue his plans, he becomes enraged and tries to help Professor Utonium rescue them. When he injected the Chemical X in himself and mutated in a much powerful monster, he challenged Dick to a fight that will determine the fates of Utonium and the girls. Their fight nearly destroyed the factory and it looked as though Dick was going to win. Just as Dick was about to kill Ash and deliver a fatal blow to defeat him, his knock-off creations, after hearing Utonium's declaration of his love to the girls, intervened. They were angered that Dick never gave any of them love after seeing what a cold-hearted, sadistic monster he all this time had been. As they rebelled against him, Ash quickly replenished his strength, overpowered Dick, and defeated him for good while also destroying him along with the factory. The remaining knockoffs tell him to take the original girls along with Utonium and his friends and get out before it's too late, which he does. But not before saving the other factory workers as well, despite being afraid of Ash's monster appearance. After everyone is safe and the girls are restored to life, Utonium injected some Antidote X in Ash's bloodstream and Ash reverted back to his normal self.
