Opening/Ash and his friends meeting Richard Tyler[edit | edit source]

(The film opens to see the clouds form into different shapes such as a pirate ship sailing the ocean, a haunted house and a knight fighting a fire-breathing dragon. Then the scene changes to a boy named Richard Tyler waking from thunder and lightning. Richard picks up his flashlight, looking around his bedroom, we see warning signs all around his bedroom. Richard puts his glasses on and gets up from his bed. He checks under his bed making sure, he's got all of his safety gear. Then he walks up to his bedroom window, he nervously bends down the shades to see what's going on outside. Lightning flashes over a tree and Richard gasped in fright. Richard runs out of his bedroom and heads to his parents bedroom. But before he can knock he instantly stood quiet upon hearing his parents talking with each other.)

Claire Tyler: Alan, every ten year old is afraid of something.

Alan Tyler: The kid's afraid of tuna fish sandwiches.

Claire Tyler: Mercury levels in the tuna.

Alan Tyler: Whatever.

Claire Tyler: Alan, the world is a frightening place to him right now. I think we can be a little more supportive.

Alan Tyler: Supportive? I'm the most supportive father on earth, but I'm running out of supportive things to do. I signed him up for Little League, he drove everybody crazy with statistics about how you can develop tumors from being hit in the head with the ball. Did you know that shin splints can lead to blood clots in the legs? Claire, he brought in a medical journal. Nobody wanted to play after that. (Looks at the treehouse through the window) And now I'm building him a treehouse, in a tree he refuses to climb.

Claire Tyler: You know he hates heights.

Alan Tyler: I don't know. I just want to be a good father. (Sits on the bed)

Claire Tyler: (patting his shoulder) But you are a good father.

(Richard felt ashamed upon hearing his parents talk about him, so walks away, then runs back to his bedroom as the thunder crashed.)

Richard Tyler:(yelps) I'm OK! I'm OK! (Gets in his bed, the thunder crashed, then Richard covers himself with his bed covers yelping in fright) No, I'm not!-

(Later at morning we see Alan hammering nails finishing Richard's treehouse. Richard comes outside to his dad.)

Alan Tyler: Hey, Rich! (chuckling) Well? You like it?

Richard Tyler: Uh, yeah, it's great, Dad.

Alan Tyler: Hey, how about bringing me up a bag of a nails? (Richard picks up a bag of nails, holds it up for his dad to reach) No, come on up! Look. (hits the boards) Solid as a rock.

Richard Tyler: Dad, eight percent of all household accidents involve ladders. Another three percent involve trees. (Alan sighs) We're looking at 11 percent probability here.

Alan Tyler: Fine. Just put it in the bucket, OK?

(Richard puts the bag of nails into the bucket as Alan continues hammering. Richard pulls on the rope raising it for his dad to reach, but he raised it too high.)

Alan Tyler: Rich?

Richard Tyler: (surprised) Huh?

(Richard accidentally released the rope which the bucket to hit Alan's head. Alan falls on the ladder and lands on his back on the ground. Alan groans and Richard walks up to his dad making sure that he's okay.)

Richard: Dad! Do you have feeling in your toes?

Alan Tyler: (struggling to get up) Yes, I have feeling in my toes.

(Claire runs outside and saw what's going on.)

Claire Tyler: Oh, Alan, honey are you OK?

Alan Tyler: (gets up) Yeah, I'm fine. Fine. (groans, while brushing himself off)

(Claire placed her hands on Richard's shoulders.)

Richard Tyler: Can't argue with statistics, Dad.

Alan Tyler: Statistics. (calmly) Here's something you can do, go down to Gutman's Hardware Store, buy a pound of these.

Richard Tyler: But, Dad...

Alan Tyler: Son, you can't live your life based on statistics. You've gotta take some chances. Now come on, buddy. (Hands Richard money) You can do this.

(Richard takes the money as he walks away from his parents.)

Richard Tyler: (nervously) This is not good. Definitely not good.

(As Richard comes inside his house. Ash and his friends appear, Richard felt surprised at first.)

Ash Ketchum: Don't be scared we're good guys.

Richard Tyler: OK, but who are you guys?

Ash Ketchum: My name is Ash Ketchum.

Misty: I'm Misty

Brock: And I'm Brock what's yours?

Richard Tyler: I'm Richard Tyler. (sees Pikachu and Togepi) What are those things with you?

Ash Ketchum: This is my partner Pikachu.

Pikachu: Pikachu.

Misty: And this is Togepi.

Togepi: Togi.

Richard Tyler: (nervously) Do they bite?

Ash Ketchum: No, Pikachu wouldn't hurt a fly.

Misty: Neither would Togepi. It's only a baby.

Richard Tyler: Are you guys sure?

Brock: Yes, we're sure Richard. We're been training several Pokemon creatures and they're harmless.

Richard Tyler: I see. (Pikachu climbs onto Richard's leg) Uh, Ash, what's he doing?

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu wants to be your friend.

Richard Tyler: (Pikachu snuggles him affectionately) Hi, little guy.

Ash Ketchum: See, Richard. Pikachu likes you.

Pikachu: Pika.

(Togepi walks up to Richard climbing up and snuggling him affectionately)

Misty: Aww look, Richard. Togepi likes you too.

Richard Tyler: Yeah, they both like me and I don't know why.

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu likes to make new friends with people who are nice, so you see, Richard, Pikachu can be hostile towards anyone who crosses him.

Richard Tyler: So as long as I'm nice to him, he's cool, right?

Ash Ketchum: Right, Richard. People who are nice to Pikachu and he's a sociable friend.

Richard Tyler: You see, guys. I don't have any friends like kids my age.

Misty: Why not?

Richard Tyler: Because the other kids make fun of me since I'm scared all the time.

Ash Ketchum: We can be your friends.

Richard Tyler: Great, Ash. Anyway, I'm going to the hardware store to get some nails for my dad.

Brock: What for?

Richard Tyler: My dad's building me a treehouse.

Misty: That sounds cool, Richard.

Richard Tyler: Yeah, but I don't want to climb up.

Ash Ketchum: Why, not?

Richard Tyler: Because, I'm afraid of heights.

Brock: You're afraid of heights?

Richard Tyler: Well, yeah, but not just heights, I'm afraid of everything else. I don't want to go alone.

Ash Ketchum: I had a fear of heights myself once. We'll all go with you and we'll help you.

Richard Tyler: OK, let's go!

Stormy bike ride/Richard, Ash and friends enter the library[edit | edit source]

(The scene changes where the garage door opens where Richard, Ash and friends are on their bikes. Pikachu and Togepi are inside the bike baskets. Richard wears a yellow bike helmet, a construction vest and a jacket. He turns on the bike lights then they all pedal away from Richard's house. The warning device beeps go on and off. The sky darkens with clouds as they all peddle into the neighborhood. Then we cut to a boy riding his bike off the ramp.)

Boy: All right!

Girl: Whoa! Good one!

(Richard, Ash and his friends peddle to see the kids perform bike stunts off the ramp.)

Boy 2: I went further. (kids laugh)

Girl: You went further that time.

Boy 3: All right! Way to go, dude!

Girl: All right, line it up.

(Richard, Ash and friends stop to see them, as the boy rides his bike off the ramp, the girl turns to look at Richard scornfully.)

Girl: Hey, guys, look, it's Richie Tyler. (kids laughing)

Boy: Hey, check out his clothes. (To Richard) Hey, Tyler, where you going the moon?

(Ash and his friends are appalled to see Richard getting picked on.)

Girl: Get cable on that thing Tyler?

(An embarrassed Richard didn't respond he just peddled away and ignored the kids taunts.)

Boy 2: Hey ,what's the matter you chicken? (making chicken noises)

Boy 3: What's the matter, wuss? Forgot your training wheels?

(The kids laugh at Richard scornfully. Ash and his friends glare furiously at the kids.)

Ash Ketchum: Hey, you leave Richard alone!

Misty: Yeah, back off!

Brock: You kids, give Richard his space!

Pikachu: Pika!

Girl: What are you guys, cops?

Ash Ketchum: No, we're Richard's friends!

Misty: And we're all Pokémon trainers!

Brock: That's right!

(The kids laugh scornfully upon hearing that.)

Girl: (smiling tauntingly) Yeah, right and that's some weird pets you freaks got here.

Misty: (furiously) Don't you dare call us that! (Ash growls in anger)

(Pikachu gets really mad upon hearing that rude remark and sparks come flying out his cheeks as if warning the kids, which made the kids nervous.)

Girl: Whoa! I think I hear my parents calling!

Boy: (scared) Uh-oh, we're outta here!

(The kids pedal away. Then Ash and his friends catch up to Richard.)

Ash Ketchum: Are you ok, Rich?

Richard Tyler: Yeah, thanks guys, nobody stuck up for me before.

Ash Ketchum: Oh, it was nothing.

Pikachu: Pika Pikachu.

Misty: You know, Richard you shouldn't let those kids upset you.

Brock: Yeah, Richard you gotta stand up for yourself, otherwise you'd be miserable for the rest of your life.

Richard Tyler: I don't know how to stand up to anybody and I also don't fight anybody.

Ash Ketchum: Don't worry Richard, we'll all help you.

Brock: (hears the thunder rumble) Uh-oh, looks like there's a storm coming guys. We gotta get out of here.

Richard Tyler: (nodding) Good idea, Brock.

(The thunder claps as the storm begins the lightning strikes the power lines which caused Richard, Ash and friends to gasp in fright. They rode their bikes into the tunnel, they peddled as fast as they could as lights in the tunnel break. They all come out of the tunnel it rained really hard, they continued peddling into the park, but suddenly a loose branch falls in front of Richard. He loses control of his bike hitting the tree and falling off his bike.)

Ash, Brock and Misty: Richard!

(Ash. Brock and Misty get off their bikes, taking Pikachu and Togepi out of the bike baskets and go to check on Richard.)

Ash Ketchum: Rich, are you ok? (Helping up Richard off the wet ground)

Richard Tyler: Yeah, Ash. (Removes his helmet and feeling his head) No cranial damage.

Misty: Good thing you have your helmet on.

Brock: That was really smart.

(Richard, Ash and friends turn to see the statue and the building.)

Ash Ketchum: Guys, the storm is too strong.

Richard Tyler: Ash is right, we better find shelter.

Misty: Good idea.

(Richard attempts to lift his bike, the headlights go off and beeping noise fades. Richard, Ash and friends run up the building. Richard throws away his vest.)

Misty: (takes Richard's hand) Come on, Richard!

(Richard, Ash and friends go up the stairs and looks at the lion statue. They all head for the entrance. Ash opens the doors as he, Richard and friends enter the building. Richard unbuttons his jacket, Pikachu shakes the water off him. Misty dries Togepi with a towel.)

Richard Tyler: Hello?

Ash Ketchum: Is anybody here?

Brock: What is this place?

(Just then the door opens. Richard, Ash and friends gasp.)

Misty: (softly) Who's there?

(Pikachu hides behind Ash and Togepi quivers and whimpers in Misty's arms while Brock has his hand on Richard's shoulder. It was a librarian named Mr. Dewey, pushing a cart of books he stops to see Richard, Ash and friends. He switches the lights, then slowly approached the group smiling kindly at them.)

Mr. Dewey: Welcome to the library, children. (shakes Richard's hand then he shook Ash, Misty and Brock's hands)

Ash Ketchum: So, this is the library?

Mr. Dewey: Yes, son it is. So what are all here for? Don't tell me, children. You're all here for a special book.

Misty: Uh, no sir.

Ash Ketchum: Uh-uh.

Brock: Not really.

Richard: Mister...

Mr. Dewey: Stop, stop, stop. Allow me to guess. I have a talent for guessing what people need. You're in need of... a fantasy. Brave knights, mythical fairies, ferocious dragons.

Misty: Look sir, all we want is...

Mr. Dewey: Adventure! Of course. You're the children who loves adventure! Brimming with wicked demons, cutthroat pirates...

Ash Ketchum: (shakes his head) No, no, sir, that's not it.

Mr. Dewey: Horror! (Richard, Ash and friends look at him with confusion) Oh, horror. (they walk backwards as he walks like a monster) Evil demon, wretched monsters, haunted houses, graveyards.

Misty: Oh, this is really disturbing.

Mr. Dewey: Yes, it's horror for you, children. I'm sure of it. Your library cards, please.

Ash Ketchum: We don't have them. (Mr. Dewey pulls out the library cards)

Mr. Dewey: You all do now. (Get's out the clipboard and pen) Sign here. (Richard, Ash and friends sign their names) Richard Tyler, Ash Ketchum, Brock and Misty. Consider this your passports to the wonderful, quite unpredictable world of books.

Ash Ketchum: (calmly) Uh, excuse me sir. We're not here to check out books.

Mr. Dewey: Hmm?

Misty: We're only here for shelter.

Richard Tyler: Yeah, that's what we're trying to tell you. We only came in here 'cause of the storm.

Mr. Dewey: You mean all don't need...

Brock: No sir, we're staying inside until the storm clears.

Mr. Dewey: (disappointed) Oh, I see. (He walks to his desk)

Misty: So, Mr uh...

Mr. Dewey: It's Mr. Dewey, young lady.

Misty: Right. Mr. Dewey, is there a phone where Richard can call his parents?

Mr. Dewey: (Points to the direction) Through there. Proceed in a northeasterly direction until you all get to the rotunda, and from there head west through the fiction section. And you'll find it. A public telephone. You all can't miss it.

Ash Ketchum: Thank you, Mr. Dewey.

Mr. Dewey: You're welcome, son.

(Richard, Ash and friends walk to the northeasterly direction. Richard stops and looks at Mr. Dewey nervously.)

Mr. Dewey: Don't be afraid, boy. If you and your friends lose your way, merely direct yourselves back to the exit sign. Ash has his arm around Richard as they all continued walking through the sections. Then they all see the rotunda.)

Richard Tyler: (amazed) Wow!

Ash Ketchum: Cool.

Misty: Amazing.

Brock: Would you look at that.

Pikachu: Pika.

Togepi: Togi.

(They all look up at the rotunda seeing a dragon fighting a knight, Long John Silver and his pirate crew, Captain Ahab fighting a white whale, Dr. Jekyll holding a potion with shadow monster in the background. The water drips from Richard's jacket.)

Richard Tyler: Jeez!

(Richard, Ash and friends look up to see a man with a long white beard and wearing a blue garb. The thunder clap is heard then suddenly Richard, Ash and friends slip on the wet floor knocking them unconscious.)

The Pagemaster send Richard, Ash and friends on a journey[edit | edit source]

(Seconds later, Richard, Ash and friends sit up as Pikachu and Togepi checks on them, making sure they're okay. The library is now dark.)
Pikachu: Pika, Pikachu?
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, we're ok Pikachu.
Misty: We must've slipped on the wet floor.
Brock: Yeah, we also hit our heads on the floor.
Richard Tyler: (calling) Hello? (his voice echoes)
(The lights go on, as the sword fighting is heard.)
Richard Tyler: What was that, guys?
Ash Ketchum: It sounds like sword fighting.
(Misty and Brock hear an eagle screech and horses galloping and whinnying)
Misty: I hear horses too.
Brock: This is getting weird, guys.
Richarrd Tyler: Uh-oh.
(Suddenly a drop is heard, Richard saw a green drop on his hand and wiped off his jack. It turned out to be small drops of paint.)
Brock: Hey, what's that?
Ash Ketchum: Looks like drops of paint. Richard look.
Richard Tyler: Huh?
Misty: Where's it coming from?
Pikachu: (see's the ceiling) Pika!
(Richard, Ash and friends look up at the rotunda. They react in fright upon seeing the rotunda melting.)
Ash Ketchum: Oh, no!
Misty: What's happening?!
Brock: The rotunda is melting!
(The paint comes down from ceiling, Richard, Ash and friends quickly get out of the way. Richard see's the green paint spot spreading out on his jacket. Then Richard removes his jacket throwing it on the floor.)
Ash Ketchum: Richard, come on!
(Richard, Ash and friends run from the paint colors. A wave of paint forms into a shape of a dragon. Richard, Ash and friends react in horror then a wave of paint chases after them.)
Ash Ketchum: Should we run?
Pikachu: (nods) Pikachu.
Ash Ketchum: Run for it!!!!
Richard Tyler: Mister, Mister, where's the exit?
Misty: We're trapped!
Brock: There's no way out of there!
(The wave of paint pursues our heroes)
Pikachu: Pika!
(Ash screams)
(Another wave of paint comes from another section.)
Ash Ketchum: Well this is it!
Misty: It's getting closer!
Brock: Brace yourselves!
(The waves of paint approached Richard, Ash and friends scream in fright they took cover as the waves of paint splash around them.)
Ash Ketchum: (he open his eyes) Hey! We're alive! Is everyone okay?
Misty: I think so, Ash.
Brock: That was one big wave of paint!
Ash Ketchum: Richard are you alright?
Richard Tyler: Yeah, I guess so Ash.
(Ash and his friends are surprised upon seeing Richard who now looks different)
Ash Ketchum: Richard look at your hand!
Brock: You look animated.
Misty: That wave of paint splashed us all.
(RIchard feels shocked upon seeing his animated self.)
Richard Tyler: I'm a cartoon!
???: You are an illustration.
Ash Ketchum: Who's that?
Misty: I don't know.
Richard Tyler: Who are you?
Pagemaster: I am the Pagemaster, keeper of the books and guardian of written word.
Ash Ketchum: My name is Ash Ketchum, sir and this is my Pikachu.
Misty: My name is Misty and this is my Togepi
Brock: And I'm Brock.
Pagemaster: It is an honor, to meet you, children.
Richard Tyler: You're the guy from up there! Where are the others?
Pagemaster: Why, they're here of course! And all around.
Ash Ketchum: Maybe you can show us the way out?
Pagemaster: Follow me, children.
Richard Tyler: Is that the way?
Pagemaster: Oh, the only way.
Misty: Which way, are we going sir?
Pagemaster: Fiction, my dear. A to Z! Where all is possible! (A page appears on his hand and tossed it) Where children's imagination can take root and grow to incredible heights!
(A pair of giant of legs appear, Richard hid behind the Pagemaster. Ash has his hand on Richard's shoulder. A viking ship appears sailing in the air.)
Ash Misty and Brock: (awed) Wow.
Pagemaster: Where children's courage is a wind that moves them to discovery! And where your journey begins. (A book cart wheels towards Richard, Ash and friends sweeping them up and speeding away as they ride along it, they screamed) To find your way home, you must face three tests, horror, adventure and fantasy. (disappears) (loudly) And remember this, when in doubt, look to the books!
(The voices are heard inside the library.)
Ash Ketchum: Hang on, guys!
Misty: We're holding on!
Richard Tyler: How do you guys, stop this thing?!
Brock: I don't know, Richard. There aren't any brakes!
(Richard, Ash and friends scream as they head for the phone booth then they crashed into it among with the books. Richard, Ash and friends struggle to get up as the phone hangs limp making the busy sound.)
Phone Operator: Due to the storm, all lines have been temporarily disconnected. Please try your call again later.
Ash Ketchum: (groans) Everybody, ok?
Pikachu: Pika.
Richard Tyler: (groans) Yeah, I think so Ash.
Togepi: Togi
Brock: Man, that was some ride!
Misty: Yeah, a wild cart ride.

Meeting Adventure and Fantasy[edit | edit source]

Richard Tyler: This is not good. Definitely not good at all.

(Suddenly the sword pops out of the book which causes to Richard to scream in fright.)

Ash Ketchum: Whoa, what is that?!

???: Where's the son of the sea biscuit knocked me from me crows nest?! (It reveals to be a pirate book named Adventure which amazed Richard, Ash and friends) (Shaking the loose pages off him) Where's he'd be? Where's he'd be?

Brock: (shocked) Is it just me, or is that a talking pirate book?

Adventure: So here be the lubbers who knocked me on me poop deck, and with no apologies too! (jumps on the crashed cart) You, all fiction or nonfiction?

Richard Tyler: I'm... Richard. Richard Tyler. And these are my friends Ash Ketchum. Brock, Misty, Pikachu and Togepi.

Adventure: What kind of books would ye be?

Ash Ketchum: We're not books, we're human kids.

Adventure: Got any proof?

Ash Ketchum: (pulls out the library cards) See? Here's our names.

Adventure: (gasps) A library card. Oh, begging your pardon, kids. I didn't you are customers. (sees Pikachu) Ahoy, there, little matey.

(Adventure was about to touch Pikachu's cheeks but Ash stopped him.)

Ash Ketchum: Ah-ah-ah. Please, don't touch Pikachu's cheeks.

Adventure: (confused) But, why, matey?

Ash Ketchum: Because Pikachu's got 100,000 powerful volts of electricity stored in his cheeks, otherwise if you touch them you'll get literally shocked.

Adventure: (understands) Oh, all right, matey.

Richard: Look all we want to do is get out of here.

Adventure: (laughing) Of course you do, matey. We all do.

Misty: You too, huh?

Adventure: Aye, Misty. But this is a library, mates. Not everything as it seems.

Pagemaster's Voice: Look to the books. (echoing)

Brock: So, you know the way out of here?

Adventure: Aye, Brock, I know these waters like the back on me hook!

Ash Ketchum: Okay, so which way?

Adventure: This way.

Ash Ketchum: We got to get home.

Richard: Yeah, my parents are probably worried sick about me.

Pikachu: Pikachu.

(Adventure follows Richard, Ash and his friends.)

Adventure: Well, I'm afeared I've been dry-docked in this library than I'd like to remember.

Misty: You mean nobody have checked you out.

Adventure: (shaking head) Nay, Misty, nobody checked me out. (to Richard) As I sees it, you with your library card are me ticket out of here! Isn't that a deal, matey? (his belt falls off) Ooh, I'm naked.

Richard: Uh, yeah, I guess so.

Adventure: (laughs) That's the spirit, lad!

Richard: Can we get going now?

Adventure: Aye aye! Let's scale this mast and get our bearings!

Richard: Mast? That's a ladder. I kind of have this thing about heights.

Adventure: Huh. I'll take care of that.

Ash Ketchum: How are you gonna do it?

Adventure: Oh, you'll see. (muttering) "Mysterious Island." Yes "Kidnapped." Ah, here we be! "(takes the book) "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea."

Misty: Are you sure you know what you're doing?

Adventure: Trust me. Ah, the squid, yes, that's it!

(Just the water and the giant squid pop out of the book.)

Ash Ketchum: You guys climb up!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Richard: It's a giant squid!

(Adventure, Richard, Ash and his friends climb up the ladder but the squid wraps it's tentacles. Adventure jumps to the next book shelf.)

Misty: What do we do now?

Adventure: Jump, kids! It's jump for your lives!

(Richard, Ash and his friends jump to another book shelf, Richard struggles to hold on he takes some of the books and falls down screaming. Then all sudden Richard looks to hear a female voice yelling at him to let go of her it was a fairy book named Fantasy he released her which caused her to gasp and the she flies to Ricard angrily.)

Fantasy: (angrily) What are you doing, grabbing me like that, messing up my pantyhose hmph. (grumbling) Now I gotta straighten up my little mermaid underwear!

Misty: I do beg your pardon, ma'am, what is your name?

Fantasy: (grumpily) I'm Fantasy! (clears throat, sweetly) I'm Fantasy. What are your names children?

Ash Ketchum: My name is Ash Ketchum and this is my partner Pikachu.

Pikachu: Pika.

Misty: I'm Misty and this is Togepi.

Togepi: Togi.

Brock: (lovestruck) My name is Brock, Miss Fantasy.

Fantasy: Why it's a pleasure to meet you, children.

Misty: Okay.

Fantasy: By the way, what is this? (takes the library card and looks at it)

Richard: It's a library card.

Fantasy: I'm a book, honey, I can read. (clears throat) Now, tell me, children, what's the one thing for more than anything in the world? Hmm?

Richard: Anything in the world?

Ash Ketchum: We'd like to get out of here, Fantasy.

Pikachu: Pika.

Fantasy: I'll grant your wish, children. But you must do me one small kindness in return.

Brock: Anything, Miss Fantasy.

Fantasy: (shaking Richard's face) You gotta check me outta here!

Misty: You want to get out of here too.

Fantasy: Mmm-hmm.

Richard: That's it? Okay, let's go. Do I have to click my heels or something?

Fantasy: (laughs) Honey, you in the wrong story.

Ash Ketchum: They are no yellow brick roads around here.

Brock: Yeah, this a library not the Land of Oz.

(Adventure climbs on top of the shelf.)

Adventure: That was a close one, kids. Kids? Hold on there, missis! The kids with me!

Fantasy: You all know that short story?

Richard; Yeah, he's Adventure.

Misty: He wants to get out of here too.

Fantasy: Children, that's what they all say.

Adventure: I heard that! I'll have you know I'm a classic!

Fantasy: Mmm-hmm. A classic...misprint.

Adventure: Why, you old sea serpent! I'll rip out your pages and use them for...(falls off) Oh, no!

Richard: Do something!

Ash Ketchum: Catch him!

Fantasy: Hmm.

(She attempts to catch him with her wand magic but Adventure lands on his face.)

Fantasy: Oops! (laughs) I forgot.

Ash Ketchum: Why, forget?

Fantasy: Because my wand doesn't always outside the Fantasy section.

Richard Tyler: You mean you can't wish us to the exit?

Ash Ketchum: I guess we're gonna have to take the long way.

Adventure: (groans) That overdue shrew's never seen the exit before.

Fantasy: More than you have, shorty! In fact the exit's just beyond my Fantasy section. Hmph!

(Richard picks up Adventure and dusts him)

Adventure: Then what are ye doing in these parts? There a witches' convention around here, maybe?

Fantasy: Look I was misshelved. (laughs) But that's over, now that young Prince Charming and his friends come to check me out.

Adventure: My good eye, he is. The lads and lass checking me out! (he grabbed Richard's arm and Fantasy grabbed Richard's other arm) Come on, boy, we're wasting time chumming off this dinghy. It's onto the exit for us.

(Ash and his friends felt embarrassed with Adventure and Fantasy fighting over Richard.)

Ash Ketchum: (groans) Oh, good grief.

Pikachu: Pika.

Fantasy: If he thinks the exit in that direction, you know it's got to be in this one!

Adventure; Don't listen to her, mate. She's not sailing with a full crew!

Misty: Come on, you guys! Quit it!

Brock: Yeah, stop fighting you're hurting Richard!

(Fantasy sends a wave of fairy dust which causes Adventure to sneeze and fall back.)

Adventure: Fantasy! She's a blooming nightmare.

Fantasy: Let's leave him, children. He doesn't even know where we are now.

Adventure: Bilge water! Of course I know we are! (sees a book) We're... "Hound of Baskervilles." (takes the book) Ha! We're in Baskervilles! Have a look-see!

(Richard takes the book and looks through the pages.)

Richard: Hmm. Huh?

(Suddenly a wild hound pops its head out barking angrily at Richard scaring him. Ash, Misty, Fantasy and Brock scream in fright as they run for their lives. The wild hound comes out of the book chasing the group.)

Ash Ketchum: Run for it, guys!

Fantasy: Hey! This way! Through here!

Pikachu: Pika, pi!

Togepi: (cries in fright)

Adventure: Nice doggy! Good doggy!

Richard: Hurry!

(Richard gets pulled by Adventure before the hound can bite him. The group pants as they catch their breath.)

Ash Ketchum: Man, that was close. I don't like that hound dog.

Misty: Me neither. it tried to maul us.

Brock: Uh, guys, you might want to see this.

Pikachu: Pika.

(The group sees a night sky and hear howling.)

Fantasy: (sighs) Oh, baby.

Misty: Where are we this time?

Brock: Looks like some kind of graveyard.

Richard: Are we still in the library?

Adventure: Aye, kids, the horror section.

Richard: It looks pretty scary.

Adventure: That it does. Just stay close to me and you got nothing to worry about.

Misty: Yeah, sure.

Fantasy: Mmm-hmm.

(The group start their journey walking into the graveyard.)

Meeting Horror/Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde[edit | edit source]

(They walk through the graveyard, just then Richard see's something.)

Richard Tyler: There it is the exit

Ash Ketchum: Richard, wait!

(He see's the Exit sign is up in the sky and feels disappointed.)

Fantasy: (reading the sign) "Dr. Jekyll" "Mr. Hyde." Must be a duplex.

-

Horror: Oh, I scared you all. I'm sorry!

Ash Ketchum: Aww, that's OK little guy, you just surprised us.

Fantasy: You mustn't judge a book by it's cover. (Richard feels uncomfortable as Ash and his friends feel sorry for Horror) Look, he's smiling!

(Horror laughs softly as he shows them a homely smile)

Misty: Aww, he's adorable.

Richard Tyler: That's a smile?

Adventure: All right, teatime's over. Let's start navigating this house. (Grumbling)

Horror: (scared) Huh? (jumps out of Richard's arms) No, wait don't go in there! (Running up to Adventure to stop him) It's scary inside!

Adventure: Ha! I ain't a feared of nothing!

Horror: (To Richard, Ash and friends) I'm afraid.

Richard, Ash, Brock and Misty: Of what?

Horror: Of, of, (yells) and...Aah! and...(makes creepy noise) and...(imitates woman screaming then he collapsed holding a white flower)

Richard Tyler: Uh, we know how you feel.

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, we all do. It's ok to be scared.

Brock: Everybody gets scared.

Misty: I'm afraid of Bug Pokémon. They bug me a lot!

Horror: Horror always have sad endings.

Misty: Your name is Horror?

Horror: (nodding his head) Uh-huh. (sees the Pokeballs) What are those? (picks them up curiously)

Ash Ketchum: (gently) Ah-ah-ah. Be careful, Horror. Our Pokeballs are not toys and they're not for you to play with.

Misty: (gently) Yeah, our Pokeballs have Pokemon creatures in it.

Horror: Oh, I'm sorry, Ash. I'm sorry, Misty.

Ash Ketchum: Oh, that's ok, Horror. No harm, no foul.

Fantasy: I come from a world of happy endings.

Ash Ketchum: Come with us Horror, maybe you could help us through the house.

Fantasy: Good idea Ash.

Horror: Through the house?

Misty: Uh-huh.

Fantasy: You can do it.

Horror: "Kay. (holds out his hand to Richard) Friend? (Richard gulps nervously)

Ash Ketchum: It's okay, Rich. Horror's not gonna hurt you.

Richard Tyler: Hello? Anybody home?

Ash Ketchum: The fireplace is lit.

(Just then a man holding a lantern named Dr. Jekyll arrive from downstairs.)

Dr. Jekyll: May I assist you all, in someway?

(Richard, Ash, the books and friends turn to see Dr. Jekyll,)

Misty: Oh, hello Mr...

Dr. Jekyll: Doctor, It's Dr. Jekyll, young miss.

Misty: (understands) Oh.

Ash Ketchum: Dr. Jekyll, we're really sorry for intruding your house.

Dr. Jekyll: (kindly) Son, there's no need to apologize. (sees Pikachu and smiles kindly) Why, hello there little fella. (pets Pikachu)

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Richard Tyler: Well, sir, we did ring the bell. (Dr Jekyll helps up Richard)

Horror: (sadly) It's all my fault. I was trying to help them find their way to the other side of the house.

Dr. Jekyll: (concerned) The other side. (escorts Richard, Ash and friends) My boy, I derive no pleasure in telling you that you and your friends are in extreme danger.

Richard Tyler: Danger?

Dr. Jekyll: Even as we speak. Lurking in this room, waiting to strike, are forces of evil.

(Horror looks around and sees the broken mirror then he gets really scared.)

Horror: (screams) Wait for me! Wait for me! (runs to catch up with the group)

Dr. Jekyll: Every man has possessed good and evil.

Richard Tyler: (looks through the vial) Hmm.

(Horror looks through the vial as his reflection shows as a handsome young man.)

Horror: (suavely) Oh, yes. (chuckles)

Dr. Jekyll: (changes the subject) But enough of that. Anyone care for a drink.

Ash Ketchum: No, thank you, Doctor.

Misty: We're not thirsty just now.

Brock: Yeah, we'll pass.

Pikachu: Pika.

Dr. Jekyll: Suit yourselves, children.

(He puts an olive in the potion.)

Adventure: I'll have a go with you, doc.

(Horror walks up to him.)

Adventure: Stay back! This is a man's drink.

Horror: Can I have the olive? (accidentally knocks the potion out of Adventure's hand) Uh-oh!

Adventure: Now, look what you've done!

(The spilled potion turns out to be acid which made a hole.)

Richard Tyler: No!

Ash Ketchum; No, don't drink it!

Misty: Don't do it doctor!

Brock: Please don't!

(Dr. Jekyll ignores them and drinks the potion. Suddenly Dr. Jekyll has stomach pains he throws the glass into the fireplace. The fire becomes green it flashes on Dr. Jekyll's body. Ash sheilds his eyes as Misty Pikachu, Togepi, Brock, Richard, and the books look on with horror. Dr. Jekyll feels very strange as he approached the group he placed his hand on Richard then suddenly Dr. Jekyll's hand becomes green as Richard, Ash and friends gasp in horror. Dr Jekyll has now become a green monster. He laughs maniacally as Richard, Ash and friends step back onto the couch as he menacingly approached them.)

Pikachu: Pika!!

Ash Ketchum:(worried) Dr. Jekyll what happened to you?

Brock: (worried) You don't look very good doctor.

Fantasy: Dr. Jekyll?

Misty: (worried) Are you all right, Dr. Jekyll?

Mr. Hyde: My name is Mr. Hyde! (Reveals his face to Richard, the books, Ash and friends which caused them to scream in terror)

Brock: Run!!!

Pikachu: PIKA!!!!

Ash: Rich, you run for the exit! I'll take care of this creep! Cyndaquil, I choose you!!!!!!

(Cyndaquil

Ash Ketchum: Ok, PIkachu shock that creep!

(Mr Hyde gasps in terror then Pikachu shocks him with his thunderbolt which caused him to scream in pain.)

Adventure: (curiously) How did you that mates?

Ash Ketchum: We're Pokémon trainers.

Adventure: (confused) The who now?

Brock: We'll explain later. Right now we're getting out of here.

Adventure: You're right, Brock, lad. The stairs, mateys, the stairs!

Misty: Hey, wait, are we forgetting someone?

Ash and Brock: Horror!

Pikachu: Pika!

Horror: Help, kids, don't leave me! No way to treat a library book. Sanctuary!

(Horror on the chandelier is being pulled by Mr. Hyde who is cackling evilly below the hole of the floor.)

Horror: Santuary!

Fantasy: Honey, you've got to help him!

Richard Tyler: But, I-I-

Fantasy: (groans in frustration)

Ash Ketchum: We'll do it. We're coming, Horror!

(Fantasy, Ash, Brock and Misty go to help Horror.)

Brock: You think your wand can break the chains, Miss Fantasy.

Fantasy: I'll try, Brock. At least this wand is good for something.

(She used her wand breaking the chain and Misty safely carries Horror then the chandelier falls to the hole sending Mr. Hyde to his doom.)

Misty: I've got you, Horror!

Horror: Thanks, Misty.

Misty: You're welcome.

Adventure: Come on!

Ash Ketchum: Let's get out of here!

(The ghosts come out of the books moaning.)

Richard Tyler: What's going on?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, what was that?

Horror: Ghost stories.

(Richard, Ash and friends scream fight as ghosts chase them.)

Richard Tyler: Get us out of here!

Richard, Ash and friends attacked by a white whale[edit | edit source]

Fantasy: (gasps) He's possessed!

Horror: He's insane!

Adventure: He's my kind of guy!

Horror: Look, guys! It's heading straight for them!

???: Not good!

Captain Ahab: Thou darned that whale! Thus I give up! The spear!

(They are in the middle of the ocean)

Ash: Is everyone okay?

Pikachu: Pika.

Richard Tyler: Guys, where are you?

(Ash, Brock, Misty, Pikachu and Togepi are held in the water safely by Staryu, Starmie, Goldeen, Horsea and Squirtle)

Richard Tyler: Ash, Brock, Misty, Pikachu, Togepi you guys made it!

Ash Ketchum: Are you ok, Richard?

Richard Tyler: Yeah I think so, Ash. But where's Adventure, Fantasy and Horror?

Misty: We don't know Richard.

Captured by Long John Silver and his crew/Horror and Fantasy to the rescue[edit | edit source]

(Then they get thrown onto the boat, Richard among with Ash and his friends are surrounded by other pirates. Richard backs away and Tom Morgan puts his around him.)

Tom Morgan: Give the word, Capn; Silver, sir. And, I'll show you the color of his insides.

Richard Tyler: Red, red, they're red!

Long John Silver: Stow your cutlass, Tom Morgan. I want a better look of his outsides first.

Richard, Ash, Misty and Brock: Long John Silver!

Ash Ketchum: Listen, here, Silver! You don't know who you're talking too!

Long John Silver: Oh, and just who might you kids be? Hmm?

Ash Ketchum: We're Pokémon trainers!

Misty: That's right!

Brock: We're friends of Richard too!

Pikachu: Pika!

Long John Silver: (laughing) I've never heard of you kids!

(The pirate crew also laugh in amusement and then they turn to see Pikachu.)

Tom Morgan: That is one sparky little yellow rat you got there, kid.

Pikachu: PIKA!!

Ash Ketchum: (growls in anger) His name is Pikachu!

George Merry: (tauntingly) Oh-hoo! You're a feisty little kid aren't you? (snickering)

Tom Morgan: (mockingly) What's your little rat gonna do to us, kid? Stare at us with his cute big eyes?

Ash Ketchum: (angrily) No, I'll have my Pikachu shock you guys if you don't let us go!

Pirate 1: (mockingly) Ooh, now we're really scared.

(The other pirates laugh at Ash.)

George Merry: (picks up the Pokeballs) Hmm, well, what do we here?

Tom Morgan: I don't know. But, I've never seen those before.

Misty: Hey, don't touch them, you idiots! Those are our Pokeballs!

Tom Morgan: It's uh, in the middle by the waterfall.

George Merry: No, it's east by some broccoli.

(Ash and his friends snickers quietly upon hearing it.)

Long John Silver: (takes the map) Give me that!

Parrot: "Broccoli?"

Long John Silver: (annoyed) Oh, you half-wits! It's west by a tree! (muttering) East by broccoli, broccoli.

Parrot: They're all idiots.

(The pirates gasp upon seeing the skeleton lie on the ground and they got really scared.)

George Merry: Oh, what sort of way for bones to lie? It ain't natural.

Tom Morgan: This island's haunted! It's accursed that is!

Long John Silver: (annoyed) Oh, you're all yellow dogs! Open your eyes! The bones is the compass pointing the way to the doubloons!

(The pirates gasp happily upon seeing the treasure chest then they run up to it. Tom open the chest but only to find it empty.)

Tom Morgan: (shocked) It's gone!

Long John Silver: Dig deeper, boys! (George does so) I say dig deeper! Find the treasure!

(Tom picks up the gold coin and he and the other pirates are not happy.)

Tom Morgan: (angrily) One gold peace?! This is your treasure, is it? (whispers to pirates) Well, let's kill him and eat his parrot.

???: Uh-oh.

???: I got a bad feeling about this.

???: Oh, boy. We are in trouble.

Adventure: (whispers) Stand by trouble.

(Ash and his friends nod in agreement.)

George Merry: We might've known you double crossed us!

(John Silver pulls out his gun and the other pirates also pull out their guns.)

George Merry: Throw down your weapon, John Silver!

Parrot: Look out!

Long John Silver: Why, you pack of biting dogs! You'll be regretting this, George Merry!

George Merry: Save your speeches! Dead men don't bite!

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu, use thunderbolt!

Tom Morgan: (gulps fearfully) Uh-oh.

George Merry: (fearfully) Oh, no.

(Pikachu shocks the pirates with his thunderbolt which causes the pirates to yell in pain. It amazed Richard, Fantasy and Horror.)

Richard Tyler: (amazed) Wow!

Fantasy: (amazed) Oh baby!

Horror: (amazed) Ooh, amazing!

Ash: Yup, my Pikachu is full of surprises!

Long John Silver: Get aboard, kids! We're gonna be shovin off!

Richard Tyler: I'm not going with you!

Ash Ketchum: We're not either!

Misty: Yeah, forget about it, mister!

Brock: That's not gonna happen!

Pikachu: Pika Pika!

Fantasy: The sword, honey. Get the sword.

Long John Silver: Don't even think it, boy. You ain't got the heart.

(Richard felt hesitant but made up his mind as he picks up the sword.)

Richard Tyler: Stay back!

Long John Silver: Avast there, laddie. Somebody could get hurt with that blade you got there.

Horror: Be careful, master.

Richard Tyler; That's just his way of saying "Thanks."

Ash Ketchum: I don't think Adventure's in a really good mood right now.

Horror: You're welcome!

(Horror laughs as Togepi follows Adventure.)

Richard Tyler: Misty, where's Togepi going?

Misty: It's probably tagging along with Horror. My Togepi tags along with Pikachu all the time.

Adventure: (rudely) You'll never be Adventure! You ain't got the spine for it! And take that stupid thing off!

Horror: (hurt, taking off the bandana) Sorry.

Adventure: (grumbling, walking away) He thinks he can be a pirate.

(Horror felt very sad what Adventure said to him so he sighed and walked away)

Richard Despairs/The Fantasy section/Dragon attack[edit | edit source]

(The scene cuts back to Richard sitting alone on the beach while feeling sad, he writes "Exit" in the sand with a stick.)

Pagemaster's voice: Seize the courage, Richard, then you will reach the exit.

(Ash and his friends sit next to Richard to comfort him.)

Brock: Hi, Richard, why are you sitting alone on the beach?

Richard Tyler: Hi, guys.

Ash Ketchum: What's wrong, Rich? Are you ok? (wraps his arm around Richard)

Pikachu: Pika? (climbs onto Richard's lap)

Richard Tyler: Yeah, it's just that we'll never get home. (petting Pikachu)

Misty: Aww, sure we will, Richard.

Fantasy: Misty's right, you did good honey.

Richard Tyler: I lost the library card. I can't check anybody out. We'll never get to the exit now.

Ash Ketchum: The journey's not over yet, Richard.

Fantasy: Yeah, honey, never say "never" around Fantasy, because sometimes you've got to fight to make a wish come true. So come on. Don't quit on me now.

Misty: Just because, you lost the library card that doesn't mean you can give up.

Brock: We have faith in you, Richard.

Richard Tyler: Do you guys, think we can make it to the exit?

Ash Ketchum: Sure we do, Rich. Don't give up until it's over OK?

Richard Tyler: (smiling) OK, Ash. (hugging Ash)

Misty: That's the spirit, Richard.

Fantasy: (smiling) Yeah.

Adventure:(scoffs) That crazy hunchbook. He don't see me pretending to be Horror.

Brock: ........

Richard Tyler: Where's Horror and Togepi? Aren't they with you?

Adventure: He was...

(Fantasy, Ash and his friends glare angrily at Adventure.)

Ash Ketchum: (angrily) Adventure, did you say something to Horror?!

Fantasy: (angrily) Yeah, what did you say to him now?!

Misty: And, where is my Togepi?!

Pikachu: (angrily) PIKA, PIKA!!!

Brock: (calmly) Listen, Adventure, you shouldn't be mean to Horror.

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, you should be nice to Horror.

Adventure: (sighs in shame) You're right, lads...I wasn't very nice to Horror.

Misty: That's right! You owe that poor guy an apology!

Adventure: (shamefully) Yes, Misty, lass. I know and I'll help you find him and your Togepi.

Fantasy: Yeah, you better go find them and be quick about it.

(Adventure and Misty look for Horror and Togepi.)

Adventure: Horror! Horror!

Misty: Togepi? Togepi, where are you?

(Misty and Adventure gasp upon seeing Horror and Togepi tied up by those little people on the kingdom.)

Adventure: Horror!

Misty: Oh, no! Togepi!

Adventure: Are you sure that swizzle stick of yours is working right?

Fantasy: Hmm. (shrugging) I don't know, maybe we should test it.

(Fantasy zaps Adventure making him look like a woman. Ash and his friends are amused upon seeing this.)

Adventure: (shouting as he rips the costume) You've gone overboard, misses!

(The fairies playfully take Richard's glasses off and take playfully Ash's hat off his head.)

Ash Ketchum: Hey, where you going with Richard's glasses and my hat?

-

Ash: Go, Charizard!!!

(Charizard materializes)

Pikachu: Pika Pika!!!!

Ash: Iron Tail attack, Pikachu!!!!

Fantasy: Watch out for his tail!!!

Adventure: .......

(The dragon noticed Ash and Richard)

Misty: Ash!!!

Richard: I'm not scared of you!

Ash: Yeah!

(Then both are tossed into the air)

Brock and Misty: ASH!!!!!

Pikachu: Pika Pi!!!

Swallowed whole/Richard, Ash and friends reach the exit[edit | edit source]

(See Ash and Richard slide into the dragon's stomach.)

Ash Ketchum: (sarcastically) Great, just great.

Richard Tyler: ....

(Ash notices something is dissolving his shoes and the hem of his jeans)

Ash: Aaaah!!! It's the stomach acids!!!

Misty: Richard, Ash!!!

Pikachu: Pika Pi!!!

Horror: Master, you've save us all!

Adventure: (proudly) That you did, matey.

Brock: Way to go, little buddy!

Misty: Richard, you are amazing! (Hugs Richard)

Richard Tyler: (smiles and blushes) Aww, thanks Misty.

Ash Ketchum: Richard, we're so proud of you!

Richard Tyler: Thanks, Ash! (Hugs Ash as they both laugh happily)

(Pikachu and Togepi climb onto Richard's lap he laughs while hugging them both. Just then Richard pulls out Fantasy's wand from his pocket.)

Misty: Richard, you found Fantasy's wand!

Fantasy: Baby, you're the greatest! (Richard blushed and Fantasy kissed him on the cheek)

Ash Ketchum: Come on, guys the journey is almost over.

Richard, Ash and friends return home/Ending[edit | edit source]

(As they reach the door, ...)

Richard Tyler: Who's there?

Adventure: Pagemaster.

Richard Tyler: Hey, how'd you get here?

Fantasy: Quit it! We're in the presence of the Pagemaster!

Richard Tyler: Good, that is definitely good!

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, you did great Richard! (he and Richard high-five each other)

Richard Tyler: Thanks for everything, guys. I could've done it without you.

Ash Ketchum: You're welcome, Richard.

Richard Tyler: Ash? MIsty?

Ash and Misty: Yeah. Richard?

Richard Tyler: Can I sleep with Pikachu and Togepi in my treehouse tonight?

Ash Ketchum: Sure, Richard.

Misty: Absolutely, Pikachu and Togepi love to snuggle with each other.

[The scene changes where Alan and Claire Tyler pull up in the driveway]

Claire Tyler: I can't imagine where could they be, maybe we should call the police. (Claire and Alan come out of the car) Alan he's home.

(Alan and Claire see Richard sleeping with Pikachu Togepi, and the books in his treehouse.)

Horror: It's dark out here. I wish there was a night light.

Fantasy: Honey, wish granted.
