This is the transcript for Ash's Adventures of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning.

(The movie shows the beach as it zooms to the water to the merpeople)

  • Sebastian: The world above is a wonderful place. But everyone knows the true magic lies... ... under the sea, where the water is clear, the fish swim free, and the mer-people live in the beautiful kingdom of Atlantica.

(At Atlantica, the merpeople swim and enjoy their lives)

  • Sebastian: King Triton ruled the seas with a fair hand...
  • Mermaid: Yoo-hoo!
  • Young King Triton: You're very kind.

(Young Ariel arrives)

  • Sebastian: ... and an open heart.
  • Young King Triton: Ariel! Oh!

(Then, Triton takes the flute and blows making the pufferfish puff up like a balloon.)

Sebastian: (Narrating) [chuckles] Oh, mon. No one loved music more than Triton's beloved queen, Athena. She and their seven darling princesses filled his life with joy and song.

[Queen Athena]

Oh, the waves roll low
And the waves roll high
And so it goes

- Oh! [chuckling]

Under a bright blue
Endless sky
Waves try to measure
The days that we treasure
Wave hello
And wave goodbye

Queen Athena: Good night, girls.

Sebastian: (Narrating) Ah, yes, the king loved his queen, and he took every opportunity to show her.

[playing Athena's Song]

  • Young King Triton: #...an endless sky #
  • Queen Athena: Our song.
  • Young King Triton: Our song.
  • Sebastian: (Narrating) Oh, mon! It was a magical time! The pure joy of song filled life in Atlantica.

[playing shell] [all harmonizing] [gasping] [all giggling] - Shh. - [laughs] - [all gasp] - [sighs] [all exclaim, laugh]

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) But even the brightest days can be darkened by an unseen tempest.

[rumbling] - [gasping]

  • Young King Triton: Go!

[all exclaiming]

(Everyone all went into the water.)

[gasps, grunting]

[gasps]

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) Somewhere in the chaos, Queen Athena...
  • Young King Triton: Athena!
  • Sebastian: (Narrating) ...was lost to us.
  • Young King Triton: Athena!

(Queen Athena tried to rescue the music box, but she watched in shock as the ship comes in closer, and closer, until it hits the rocks and kills her.)

  • Young King Triton: Noooooooooooo!

[softly plays Athena's Song]

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) Each note of that lovely melody seemed to deepen the king's anguish. He couldn't bear to hear it.

(King Triton then throws the music box far away in anger and grief as it sinks to the parts unknown)

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) From that moment on, the king's heart stayed dark. And music was banned from Atlantica... [whispers]... forever.

(That scene fades to black and fades into the present day in Pallet Town)

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) Ten years later. In a place called Pallet Town, a human boy named Ash Ketchum and his friends are having a fun and relaxing day at the Beach... But all that is about to change for them...
  • Ash Ketchum: TBA

At Atlantica/Ash and his friends finally at under the sea[edit | edit source]

(Then under the sea)

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) Meanwhile... Atlantica looked the same.

(We go to the palace)

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) But I can't say that about... everything.

(In the princesses' room, Ariel, and her sisters are now grown up. Then suddenly, their governess named Marina Del Rey and her assistant Benjamin came in)

  • Marina Del Rey: Uppy-uppy, my darlings.
  • Benjamin: It's us.

(The princesses groan)

  • Princess Ariel: [Groans] Governess!

(Then Marina takes the pillow from under Aquata)

  • Princess Aquata: Hey!
  • Marina Del Rey: Rise and shine.
  • Princess Aquata: Why so early?
  • Marina Del Rey: Mustn't be late.
  • Princess Arista: But it's still dark out.
  • Princess Aquata: Uh...
  • Princess Arista: [Sees now] Oh. Hi.
  • Benjamin: Wakey-wakey.
  • Princess Adella: Oh, I was dreaming about a boy.
  • Marina Del Rey: Yes. Come on, girls.
  • Princess Alana: But I need my beauty sleep.
  • Princess Andrina: Tell me about it.
  • Princess Alana: It's easy for you. No one cares what you look like, but I didn't even finish.
  • Marina Del Rey: Move it.
  • Benjamin: I think you're lovely.
  • Princess Andrina: Can't we meet Father later?
  • Marina Del Rey: Unfortanily, I don't get to make those kinds of decisions. [laughs] Any decisions, really. [Sees the girls go back to sleep again] Get up!

[The girls rushed up and go to the mirrors]

  • Marina Del Rey: All right, all right, all right. Move your tails. This is our special time with your father.
  • Princess Ariel: Special? It's the same every morning.
  • Princess Andrina: Ah, she's got a point.
  • Marina Del Rey: That's what your father cares about. Predictability, presentation, punctuality.
  • Princess Ariel: That's all Dad cares about.
  • Princess Andrina: She's got a point.
  • Princess Aquata: You've got your own mirror!
  • Benjamin: Two minutes.
  • Marina Del Rey: Stop primping!

(They get ready as they talk, as Attina goes to Ariel)

  • Princess Attina: Come on, Ariel.
  • Princess Ariel: Why can't he let us do something different? Just once.
  • Princess Attina: Give him a break. He's the king, remember? You try running a kingdom.
  • Princess Ariel: I wouldn't run it like this.
  • Princess Attina: Don't upset him, Ariel.
  • Princess Ariel: Just because you're the oldest, Attina, doesn't mean you can boss us around.
  • Princess Attina: Yes, it does.
  • Marina Del Rey: Benjamin, if we're late again, I'll never get a promotion.
  • Benjamin: Marina... - [Attina]
  • Princess Attina: [VO] Come on, girls.
  • Marina Del Rey: Not that I want a promotion. No, no, no, I love this job. Looking after you is what I live for. Really.

(The girls leave)

  • Marina Del Rey: I hate this job!
  • Benjamin: The less said the better.

(At the throne room, Sebastian arrives, and his chariot is going crazy)

  • Sebastian: [panting] Whoa! Whoa! - Good morning, Your Highness.
  • King Triton: Sebastian.
  • Sebastian: Hm? Oh! [chuckles]
  • King Triton: Anything to report?
  • Sebastian: [clears throat] Unfortunately, the sprat and the... smelt were still... [shrieks] squabbling. No worries. I told them I'd sic the salmon on them. [chuckles]
  • King Triton: Sebastian, what would I do without you?
  • Sebastian: You'd be negotiatin' with the sprat and the smelt, that's what.

(The princesses arrive before their father)

  • King Triton: Good morning, girls.
  • Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista, Andrina and Ariel: Good morning, Father.
  • King Triton: Marina.
  • Marina Del Rey: Good morning, Your Majesty.
  • Sebastian: [As he clears throat]
  • Marina Del Rey: Sebastian.
  • Sebastian: You're late.
  • Marina Del Rey: I... uh... [chuckles, groans]
  • Sebastian: Your Majesty.
  • King Triton: Well, I presume you've all been attending to your royal duties this week.
  • Princess Attina: Yes, Father. We've been working diligently.
  • Princess Ariel: But, we're always done early.
  • Princess Attina: Shh!
  • Princess Ariel: And the coral is in bloom.
  • Princess Andrina: Clam it!
  • Princess Adella: Enough!

(Ariel swims to her father)

  • Princess Ariel: So I thought maybe we could go for a swim on the reef?
  • King Triton: Not today, Ariel.
  • Princess Ariel: But it only happens once a year. It could be fun.
  • King Triton: I don't have the time.
  • Princess Ariel: I was thinking we could just skip the morning walk.
  • Sebastian: Ariel! Your father said no.
  • Princess Ariel: Yes, sir.

(She swims back to her sisters)

  • Princess Attina: Nice job.

(They begin to swim out)

  • Sebastian: Be on time tomorrow.
  • Marina Del Rey: [grumbling]
  • King Triton: [exhaling deeply]
  • Marina Del Rey: Let's move it!
  • Princess Adella: OK, we're coming.
  • Princess Andrina: Time to go.
  • Princess Attina: Great.

(They swim to go on their walk)

Morning Walk/Ash and the others finding Pikachu and Togepi/"One Mistake"[edit | edit source]

(Cut to Ariel going for a "walk" with her family, Marina, and Sebastian)

  • Merfolk: Here they come!

(They swim by as Adella sees a handsome merman and she waves to him, flirtishly)

  • Princess Adella: Oh, hi to you, too. [shrieking]
  • Princess Andrina: [laughing]
  • Princess Ariel: [giggles]
  • Princess Adella: [growling] That's it!

(Ariel swims away as Adella chases her)

  • Princess Adella: Aah! [laughs]
  • Princess Ariel: [laughing]
  • Sebastian: Your Majesty, I was thinking about making some changes in the palace staff.
  • Marina Del Rey: Huh?
  • King Triton: Really?

(Ariel and Adella continue the chase and silliness as they ram into their sisters)

  • Marina Del Rey: Get up!

(They giggle and they got up as King Triton turns around)

  • King Triton: That will be all, Sebastian, Marina. Good day, girls.
  • Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista, Andrina, and Ariel: Goodbye, Father.

(They begin to swim until...)

  • King Triton: Ariel.
  • Princess Ariel: [groans] Oh! Yes, Daddy?
  • Princess Arista: [Whispering] He sounds grumpier than yesterday.
  • Princess Andrina: Time to go.

(With Triton and Ariel

  • King Triton: A princess does not tickle another princess with seaweed.
  • Princess Ariel: You saw that? I was just trying to have some fun.
  • King Triton: You disrupted your sisters.
  • Princess Ariel: Well, they laughed
  • King Triton: Well, I didn't.
  • Princess Ariel: Daddy, why can't...
  • King Triton: Is it too much to ask that you simply walk with your family?
  • Princess Ariel: That's all we ever do.
  • King Triton: Ariel...
  • Princess Ariel: Can't we do something different?
  • King Triton: Enough!

(Ariel is shocked at her father's behavior)

  • King Triton: You have to learn to respect the way I run this kingdom. Barnacles.
  • Princess Ariel: What? That'll take all day.
  • King Triton: Well, then you'd better get started, young lady.

(Ariel is angry at her father as he swims inside the building)

  • Princess Ariel: I hate this place.

(She swims off to where she will get all the barnacles off. Cut to Ash and his friends looking for Pikachu and Togepi) 

  • Ash Ketchum: Pikachu?
  • Misty: Togepi!
  • Korra: Pikachu?

(We fade to stacks of meat and are picked up by a stick, which turns out to be Benjamin uses it to feed the locked up creatures) 

  • Benjamin: Mm-hmm. Snacky-snack.

[animals growling]

  • Benjamin: OK. [moaning as the creatures ate the meat] No manners.
  • Marina Del Rey: This job is killing me!
  • Benjamin: Oh, dear.
  • Marina Del Rey: ​​​​If I have to watch over these spoiled princesses one more day, I'm gonna beach myself!
  • Benjamin: Mm-hmm.
  • Marina Del Rey: You should've heard that little clawboy Sebastian today. "You're late." [gibbering] If Triton wasn't looking, I would have squashed that crustacean into a crab cake!
  • Benjamin: Mm-hmm.
  • Marina Del Rey: [inhaling deeply] - Maybe I'm just too sensitive?
  • Benjamin: Dip.
  • Marina Del Rey: Did you feed them today?

(He shows her the key around his neck, and he continues to shorten her nails)

  • Marina Del Rey: Ooh! That Sebastian! I despise him! I loathe him!
  • Benjamin: Never heard that one.
  • Marina Del Rey: How did that little invertebrate get to be chief of staff?
  • Benjamin: Chutzpah?
  • Marina Del Rey: I want that job. I deserve that job! So what if I'm late every once in a while and the girls are miserable?
  • Benjamin: Nobody's perfect.
  • Marina Del Rey: That's right. Nobody's... perfect. -
  • Benjamin: Oh... my.
  • Marina Del Rey: Everyone makes mistakes, even... him!
[Marina]

  • Benjamin: Or a good cuticle cream.

Ash and the gang meet Ariel and Flounder/Talking to King Triton/Ash learns about King Triton's backstory[edit | edit source]

(We go to Ariel, who is now cleaning the pillars)

  • Princess Ariel: One. [exhales deeply] [sighs]

(We zoom out to all the pillars)

  • Ash Ketchum: Pikachu. There you are! Been looking all over for you buddy.
  • Pikachu: Pika-Pi. Pikachu.
  • Ash Ketchum: What are you doing out....(sees Ariel who's approaching to him.) Oh...
  • Princess Ariel: Well, hello. Where did you come from?
  • Ash Ketchum: (blushing nervously) Oh....uh....sorry.....to bother you miss.....I was just looking to my friend: Pikachu.
  • Princess Ariel: Oh, don't be afraid. You've done nothing wrong.
  • Ash Ketchum: Really?
  • Princess Ariel: It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you.
  • Ash Ketchum: (shy) Oh, well thanks....well....you look (gulp nervously) beautiful.
  • Princess Ariel: Thank you. Um...I'm Ariel.
  • Ash Ketchum: (shy) Um I-l...I'm A-A-A-Ash a-and this is Pikachu.

  • Ash Ketchum: Mermaid? (looks at his flippers; gasps; in his thoughts) She thinks my flippers are fins?! Then this means she thinks I'm a merperson!

  • Princess Ariel: You and this Pikachu do seem... a little different. Where are you from?
  • Ash Ketchum: We're from kind of far away. And we're not really used to these waters.
  • Princess Ariel: Oh, I see. In that case...You and your friends can stay with me if you want.
  • Princess Ariel: First. [exhales deeply] [sighs] My father told me to remove all these barnacles the pillars.

  • Ash Ketchum: (in his thoughts) What do I say? What do I say? She's so pretty and she's really nice. Don't be nervous, Ash. You can do this.

  • Princess Ariel: I really appreciate it!
  • Ash Ketchum: Then I'll see you in a bit.
  • Princess Ariel:: (chuckles) Sure.
  • Ash Ketchum: (suddenly feels scared) Oh, no.... What have I done? What have I done? What have I done? What have I done? Pikachu, I can't breathe underwater and I don't swim great like Ariel! I'm not a merperson like her! I'm a lying human! (starts to panic) Oh, man, oh, man, oh, man, oh, man! What do I do?!
  • Pikachu: PikaCHUUU!!!! (zaps him to get him to stop panicking)
  • Ash Ketchum: (deep breathing) Thanks. I needed that. In fact, I need a backup plan. (gasp) I got it! Jack Skellington! He can help!

(We go to Jack Skellington talking to Ash.)

  • Jack Skellington: What can I help you with, Ash?
  • Ash Ketchum: Oh, I did a very bad thing, Jack. I-I-I just made a new friend and- (sighs) It's so embarrassing to say it.
  • Jack Skellington: Hey, you can tell me anything. I promise I won't say a word about to anyone.
  • Ash Ketchum: Promise?
  • Jack Skellington: Sure.
  • Ash Ketchum: Alright. I just met this young girl. No, no, no. More like a teenage girl. And I said something that wasn't true.
  • Jack Skellington: You mean?
  • Ash Ketchum: Yeah. I lied.
  • Jack Skellington: (gasps) Ash! You should know better than to lie to someone you just met. I can't believe you would do that! She was just beginning to trust you and you've violated it!
  • Ash Ketchum: I know! But there was a reason to it.
  • Jack Skellington: Well, it better be a good reason to why you lied. Speaking of which, what did you lie about?
  • Ash Ketchum: Well, you see, Jack, there was this big misunderstanding. This girl I've met named Ariel is a creature called a mermaid. During our underwater expedition, she thought my flippers was a tailfin identical to hers. And now she's expecting me and the rest of us to come and visit her in her kingdom sometime later tonight as merpeople. But the problem is she doesn't know that I'm a human being. We can't breathe underwater, and we can't swim in deeper water like she does. And if don't honor her promise to visit her kingdom, she'll be severely disappointed. I've made a horrible mistake, Jack. You've got to help me! Please!
  • Jack Skellington: Wait, you're telling me that she thought you were a merperson? And you didn't tell her that you're a human?
  • Ash Ketchum: Yes, yes!

  • Ash Ketchum: (whistling to himself as he returns to his gang; hums for a bit but notices his friends staring at him with angry looks) Oops!
  • Pikachu: Pika?!
  • Brock: Nice of you and Pikachu to join us, Ash. Where have you been?
  • Misty: Yeah. Where were you? You were both late for lunch today.
  • Korra: And why do you look so wet?
  • Ash Ketchum: Well, I, uh,... I was, uh,... nowhere? (his friends look at him suspiciously) Okay, okay, okay. (sighs) We got sidetracked somewhere but some random Pokémon found us and helped us found our way back. Now, if you'll excuse us, We have to go and clean ourselves up! (runs upstairs)
  • Heroes: Huh?

  • Ash Ketchum: Phew! That was close. Now, Pikachu, we need to think of a solution to how we need to talk them into getting into the ocean so that Ariel could meet them.
  • Misty: (overhears Ash) Ariel? (grows suspicious) Hmm....
  • Ash Ketchum: (comes out of his room after cleaning himself up until he bumps into Misty and his team; screams) Oh, uh, hi, fellas. What are you all doing here?
  • Misty: Ash, we want to know something. Who's Ariel?
  • Ash Ketchum: Ariel? (chuckles) Did I say "Ariel"? I-I-I have no idea what you're talking about.
  • Mako: Don't play games with us! We're not that stupid. Now tell us. Who is Ariel?
  • Bolin: And what were you talking about with us going into the ocean to meet up with her?
  • Ash Ketchum: Uh,... I don't know.
  • Heroes: (losing their patience) WHO THE HECK IS ARIEL?!
  • Ash Ketchum: (winces as he covers his ears in pain from their yelling) Okay, okay, okay! (pulls out a book, looks through the pages and points to a picture of a mermaid with red hair that's identical to Ariel) This is who Ariel is! And what she looked like when Pikachu and I met her at the beach!
  • Korra: A mermaid?
  • Tommy Oliver: You gotta be kidding me!

(Then a fish comes by)

  • ?????: Live from The Catfish Club, it's... - [water bubbling melodically] - Flounder! [imitating cheering audience] We love you, Flounder. [imitating electric guitar]
  • Ariel: Oh, boy. [grunts] - [grunting]

(Then, Flounder swims play doing a rap)

(Then Flounder appears again and then...)

  • Flounder: [Off screen] Whoo! Oh, yeah!

  • Flounder: I'm hot. I know it.
  • Princess Ariel: Hey!
  • Flounder: Aah!
  • Princess Ariel: Was that... what I think it was?
  • Flounder: Nope. [water bubbling melodically] Whoops.

  • Flounder: What?
  • Princess Ariel: That sound! -
  • Flounder: Oh, that sound.

  • Flounder: I was just... [laughs] ...cleaning out these... But then you... Hey! And then I... [wheezes] And then the thingamajiggers just boppity boop, bop, bap!
  • Princess Ariel: Can you do it again?
  • Swordfish Guards: Halt!
  • Swordfish Guard #1: You're in violation of the Triton Acts!
  • Swordfish Guard #2: All music is forbidden in the kingdom!

  • Swordfish Guard #2: It appears we have intruders!

(They swim off)

  • Ash Ketchum: Run for it!
  • Swordfish Guard #1: Hey, get back here!

(They swim after them)

  • Flounder: Faster!

(They continue to swim faster as the swordfish chases them)

  • Flounder: Corkscrew!

(They judge the coral as the guards break through the coral, continuing the chase)

  • Flounder: Torpedo tube!

(They zoom forward through the tunnel)

  • Flounder: Whoo-hoo!
  • Princess Ariel: [giggling]

(They go even faster than before and then Flounder gets stuck)

  • Flounder: Not again! [straining]
  • Swordfish Guard #1: There they are!

(The swordfish heads toward them)

  • Princess Ariel: [whimpering] Fish launch!
  • Flounder: Thanks.
  • Princess Ariel: No problem.

(They swim in the different direction as the swordfish guards arrive out of the tunnel)

  • Swordfish Guard #1: [grumbling] - This way!
  • Flounder: My name is Flounder.
  • Princess Ariel: Oh, I'm Ariel. (Sees something) Oh, no!

(That was Sebastian as they stopped until her land on Sebastian)

  • Sebastian: Princess Ariel! What is the meaning of this?!
  • Ash and friends: Princess?!
  • Princess Ariel: Um... We weren't doing anything.
  • Sebastian: No? Then why were you trying to get away?

[both stammering]

  • Flounder: Um... 'Cause they were chasing us?
  • -
  • Swordfish Guard #1: We heard music, chief.
  • Sebastian: [shrieks] Music! The princess was making music?
  • Swordfish Guard #1: The princess wasn't making music. And neither were these intruders. He was.
  • Flounder: [whimpers]
  • Sebastian: Music is against the law! And you stranger creatures trespassing?

  • Sebastian: I'll deal with you after that fish! Take him to the dungeon!
  • Flounder: I can't make it in the slammer!
  • Sebastian: Now!
  • Princess Ariel: Wait! This is all a big misunderstanding. Huge. You are gonna laugh when I explain. Which I'm about to do.
  • Sebastian: In this century, please.
  • Princess Ariel: Right. You see, I was just cleaning the coral tubes, and my friends here [chuckles] were helping me.

(They make nervous smiles)

  • Princess Ariel: See?

  • Sebastian: Guards! Escort the princess back to the palace.
  • Princess Ariel: But Sebastian...
  • Sebastian: [To Flounder] And you!
  • Flounder: [whimpers]
  • Sebastian: Consider this your first and only warning, mon.

(The two guard goes on to escort the princess back to the palace)

  • Princess Ariel: Humph!

  • Sebastian: You!
  • Bolin: I don't think we can right now.

(At the throne where Ash and his friends see Triton on his throne)

(He crawls over to King Trition)

  • King Triton: Sebastian, do you have something to report?
  • Sebastian: Your Majesty, I have brought some strange visitors that the guard saw with Ariel and thought they were intruders.
  • King Triton: All right then, send them in.
  • Sebastian: You all may come in, now.

(Then Ash and his friends come in as Sebastian says)

  • Sebastian: (clears his throat) Behold you swim before the ruler of the seas! His Majesty, King Triton!
  • Brock: Greeting your highness.
  • King Triton: And who are you?

  • Ash Ketchum: But the queen's death was just an accident, Sebastian. Why didn't he just move on rather than hold a grudge against something he knows very little about?
  • Sebastian: Ash, sometimes there are people in this world who can't stand to see it when different races of other people live together as friends. And the king is one of those people. This is why he is against going to the surface and against humans. Whenever he hears that word or sees a human far away, it would remind him of that horrific day his queen was murdered by those barbaric pirates. Because of his queen's death, the king's temper became very violent and uncontrollable. And none of us know what he'll do if a real human makes direct eye contact with him. For all we know, it could be very dangerous. So, everyone has to be very careful not to anger him.

  • Ash Ketchum: (thinks in his thoughts) So, the sea king not only bans music, but he hates humans too? (becomes horrified and falls back in disbelief) Aw, man! This is worse than I thought. Not only that I’ve lied to Ariel about my identity, but now I’ve got to worry about the king’s anger problems?! (sighs) I guess I have no choice. It looks like desperate times call for desperate measures. If I want to protect my friends, I have to think of an easier way to resolve his problem with humans without raising his temper. Because if he or his entire kingdom find out that we're humans, who knows what he'll say or do to us. And I fear the worst for how Ariel will feel if she finds out as well.
  • Jack Skellington: Are you serious?! The king hates humans too?!
  • Ash Ketchum: Yes, Jack! The king not only banned music from Atlantica, but he also has an intense grudge on all humanity.
  • Jack Skellington: Oh, dear. You're right. This is a real problem. Oh, this is not good. Definitely not good at all. I don't understand it. Why does the king hate humans so much?
  • Ash Ketchum: A crab named Sebastian said to me that a group of pirates raided their lagoon and attacked them on the day of their anniversary. They stole every treasure they possessed and when his queen went to retrieve something, their ship crashed onto her. That incident was just too much for him to bear. So instead of moving on like any other parent should've, he blames humanity for the death of his queen and bans visitations to the surface as well as music for life. And from my perspective, it was just an accident.
  • Jack Skellington: I see. So, the sea king is delusional on the world he knows very little about and believes that all he sees in humans are evil monsters with little to no feeling.
  • Ash Ketchum: Mm-hmm.
  • Jack Skellington: Hmm...Well, I cannot help you with this one, Ash. But there is one person that can help you with this. And I might suggest that you'd go and talk with Zordon.

(They begin dancing)

(They play the instruments and continue to dance, as the lobster came to Aquata)

(Attina kicks her fins with the two female fish and Andrina is with Cheeks playing the trumpet, and then Ariel and Flounder watch the starfish doing the limbo)

  • Dolphin: Let's dance.
  • Princess Aquata: No, thanks.
  • Fish: Would ya like to dance?
  • Princess Aquata: [growls] I can't dance, OK? I'm a mermaid with no grace. I look like a spastic piece of kelp.

(Aquata dances terribly)

(Marina swims up and spots the girls dancing towards the music)

(Then she sees Sebastian there dancing as well, and Marina is shocked and surprised by this)

  • Sebastian: We be jammin', mon.

(Marina sees this as an opportunity to get his place and she swims off somewhere as the party finishes)

  • Sebastian: That's right!

(At the girls' room)

  • Princess Andrina: Good night, Ariel.

(We go to the Catfish Club and the heroes dance and enjoyed the music. Until they heard a bang at the door, as it is knocked down and a bunch of swordfish guards come swimming in)

  • Sebastian: Jumpin' jellyfish!

[all yelling]

  • Flounder: Quick! This way! [swordfish grumbling]
  • Hi. [all sighing]
  • King Triton: This is how you watch over my daughter?
  • Sebastian: Sire, I...
  • King Triton: I trusted you.
  • Sebastian: Sire.
  • King Triton: Guards! Lock him away.
  • Princess Ariel: What? No!
  • King Triton: Lock them all away!
  • Sebastian: But, Your Majesty, please!
  • Swordfish guard: Come on. Let's move it.
  • Flounder: I'm with the band.

  • King Triton: Marina, you will take over Sebastian's duties immediately.

(She leaves the throne room, as the king and her sisters watch her leave. Cut to Ariel entering her and her sisters' room crying)

  • Princess Ariel: [sobbing]

(Her sisters enter the room as Attina is now 2 feet away from them)

  • Princess Ariel: Attina?

(Ariel tries to comfort Attina, but...)

  • Princess Attina: You just don't know when to quit.

(Attina gives her the angry look and swims away from her)

  • Princess Ariel: What?

(Her sisters do the same)

  • Princess Adella: It's over, Ariel.
  • Princess Ariel: But... we were finally happy.
  • Princess Attina: Look around, Ariel. No one's happy.

(Cut to Marina who is happy to have Sebastian's job)

  • Marina Del Rey: Yahoo!
  • Fat fish #1: Who
  • Fat fish#: I don't know, but she scares me.

(She does a The Little Mermaid pose but then gets splashed, as Scuttle comes close to her)

Fade back to Ariel who then takes a flower and she swims to her bed and puts the flower on her pillow until she looks at her sleeping sisters. And then, she swims out to the exit and leaves the room.)

Ariel rescues Sebastian and the others and runs away from home/Swimming off somewhere while singing "Jump in the Line"[edit | edit source]

(Meanwhile, at the dungeon. Ray-Ray throws the ball against the wall, as the heroes are sad being in the dungeon, as Ink Spot panics)

  • Ink Spot: I got to get out of here. I got to get out. The walls, they're closing in. There's no space! No air! [grunting] I got it! We'll start a riot! Follow my lead. Atlantica! Atlantica! Join me, guys. Atlantica!

(The band gathered around to discuss the plan)

  • Sebastian: Well, I...

(And the band are done discussing the plan)

  • Ray Ray: The band has talked it up, see, and we want you to...
  • Cheeks: Slip through the bars.
  • Sheldon: Use your claws to pick the lock, man.
  • Ink Spot: And open that door!

(They have each other about that being a good plan)

  • Flounder: Liquid! [the gang looked at him] Just kidding.
  • Sebastian: No! Bad plan! If we break out of this jail, there ain't no coming back here, mon! We'll be fugitives!

(The pause at that, but they agree on being fugitives)

  • Flounder: What's a fugitive?

(Ariel arrives and heads to their cell)

  • Sebastian: What about Ariel? You just going to abandon her? Leave her to deal with all that we tangled her up in? You think that small, weak, innocent, helpless little girl an do anything by herself?
  • Princess Ariel: Oh! - [grunting] (breaks the lock)
  • Sebastian: Ariel?
  • Princess Ariel: Come on, guys. Let's go.
  • Princess Ariel: I'm getting you all out of here.
  • Shelbow: I'm with her.
  • Sebastian: If we run away from Atlantica, it'll break your father's heart!
  • Ray Ray: She got to do what she got to do.
  • Princess Ariel: I'm sorry. I just can't live here.
  • Ink Spot: Yeah, let's go.
  • Sebastian: [closes the cell door] Listen, I will not be responsible for taking you away from your family.
  • Princess Ariel: [opens the cell door] I'm leaving! With or without you.
  • Cheeks: All right!
  • Sebastian: [closes the cell door again, but this time he is out of the cell] Nobody's leaving!
  • Shelbow: Except you.
  • Ray Ray: Mmm-hmm.

  • Princess Ariel: Look, Sebastian, without music, this place just isn't home.
  • Shelbow: You know she ain't lying.

(Morning at the place, Benjamin comes to the princess' room)

  • Benjamin: Oh...
  • Princess Arista: [sighs]
  • Benjamin: Aw... [Benjamin humming]

(His view looks at the girls sleeping and then sees that Ariel's bed is empty)

  • Benjamin: [gasps] OK...

(He counts the princesses in bed and went to Ariel's bed where she left her flower on the pillow)

  • Benjamin: Oh, dear.

(Go to the gang)

  • Sebastian: Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go!
  • Flounder: [scatting]
  • Sebastian: Flounder, shh! Move it, move it, move it, mon.
  • Flounder: Move it, move it, move it.

  • Korra: Quiet.

The King realizes Ariel and the others are missing/Stopping in the middle of nowhere[edit | edit source]

At the palace, King Triton is standing from his window, as Marina arrives)

  • Marina Del Rey: And thanks to my bold new initiatives, second only to my fabulous day wear and dressy evening separates, productivity in all sectors is up 20 percent.

(The king ignores her as he swims away)

  • Marina Del Rey: Squids are producing more ink, kelp more oxygen, and the coral reef is just churning out the plankton. Chuga, chuga! [laughs] I do so enjoy fresh plankton on my salad, don't you?

(He didn't answer)

  • Marina Del Rey: I'll take that as a yes. As you can see, I'm... I'm a self-starter, Your Majesty, here to anticipate your every need. Not like that last guy. What was his name? Sooner we forget about him, the better. In fact, let's make a vow never to mention his name again. Here, I'll start. There. Wasn't that easy?

(Benjamin appears)

  • Benjamin: Marina.
  • Marina Del Rey: Busy!
  • King Triton: I think I was too hard on them.
  • Marina Del Rey: Huh?
  • Benjamin: It's about Ariel.
  • Marina Del Rey: Not now!
  • King Triton: Perhaps I went too far.
  • Marina Del Rey: Nonsense, Your Highness. Not possible.

(Her seat went down to Benjamin)

  • Benjamin: Marina.
  • Marina Del Rey: What?
  • Princess Attina: [Offscreen] Daddy!
  • Marina Del Rey: Huh?

(Attina arrives with the flower Ariel left behind)

  • Princess Attina: Ariel's missing.
  • King Triton: What?
  • Marina Del Rey: Why didn't you tell me?
  • Benjamin: I just... did.
  • Princess Attina: We can't find her! We've looked everywhere!
  • King Triton: Don't worry. I'll find her. Get me Sebastian! And Ash and his friends!
  • Marina Del Rey: What, what! No, no, no! No, I'm in charge here! [swims to Triton, but stops when he gives him the look] Well...
  • Benjamin: Sebastian's gone, too. So are Ash and his friends.
  • King Triton: Guards! Search the palace. Search every inch of Atlantica! Find my daughter! [Leaves as the guards gone off to find Ariel]
  • Marina Del Rey: Your Majesty. Whoo-hoo! Your Majesty, Your Majesty. [growls]

(She turns to look at the flower as she goes to pick it up and squeezes it in anger.)

  • Marina Del Rey: Sebastian.

(Back to the heroes, who are still swimming to their location)

  • Flounder: Are we there yet?
  • Sebastian: No.
  • Flounder: Are we there yet?
  • Sabastian: No.
  • Flounder: Are we there yet?
  • Sebastian: No.
  • Flounder: Are we there yet?
  • Sebastian: No.
  • Flounder: Are we there yet?
  • Sebastian: Yes. This is it.
  • Kimberly Ann Hart: Seriously? That's it?
  • Misty: You took us to the middle of nowhere?!
  • Korra: All that swimming just for this?!
  • Ash Ketchum: Are you sure this is the right place, Sebastian?
  • Sebastian: Yes.
  • Ray Ray: Are you sure?
  • Sebastian: Yes.
  • Princess Ariel: Are you s-?
  • Sebastian: Yes!
  • Bolin: Okay! We hear ya! No need to shout, dude.
  • Ink Spot: Oh, man. We can't live here!
  • Shelbow: Yeah, this place is all "Oom-pa-pa." We need some... [drumbeats]
  • Sebastian: Nonsense. It's perfect. Just listen to them acoustics: Do, re, me, fa, so, la, ti, do

(It echoes three times)

  • Sebastian: Solid.
  • Ray Ray: Well, it beats the dungeon.
  • Cheeks: But not by much.
  • Shelbow: It'll do for the time being. Excuse me.

(He goes inside his shell and, Ink Spot goes on a boulder and sleeps upside down, and Ray-Ray buries himself in the sand)

  • Ray-Ray: Ooh...

(Flounder tries to do the same thing that Ray Ray but fail and spits out the sand)

  • Flounder: [sputtering]
  • Princess Ariel: Sebastian, be honest. Are we lost?
  • Sebastian: No, this is fine. There's more to this place than meets the eye.
  • Ash Ketchum: [To Ariel] Say, Ariel, do you know why Sebastian led us here?
  • Princess Ariel: No, but he said there's more to this place than meets the eye.
  • Ash Ketchum: I see.
  • Pikachu: (worried) Pika.
  • Ash Ketchum: Don't worry Pikachu. We'll get a good night's rest and figure out why we're here first thing in the morning, okay? (Falls asleep.)
  • (Pikachu crawls in Ash's sleeping back and fells asleep.)
  • Princess Ariel: (smiles warmly) Goodnight Ash. Sweet dreams. [She kisses Ash.]

(The gang went to sleep until...)

  • Flounder: [Once again, scatting]
  • Everyone except Ariel: Knock it off!
  • Flounder: Sorry.

(At the palace)

  • Marina Del Rey: [Off Screen] Give me the key!
  • Benjamin: I said no.
  • Marina Del Rey: Look, I haven't worked my tail off for the last 12 hours just to have it snatched away.
  • Benjamin: How about a nice relaxing bath?
  • Marina Del Rey: Benjamin.
  • Benjamin: Kelp wrap?
  • Marina Del Rey: Benjamin!
  • Benjamin: Lomi lomi rub?
  • Marina Del Rey: Give me the key!
  • Benjamin: You said never give it to you in a fit of rage!
  • Marina Del Rey: I'm perfectly calm!
  • Benjamin: Doesn't sound it.
  • Marina Del Rey: Give!

(Benjamin ducks from her swipe)

  • Marina Del Rey: Give!
  • Benjamin: Mm-mmm.
  • Marina Del Rey: Give!
  • Benjamin: Mm-mmm!
  • Marina Del Rey: Oh, look at the pretty fishies.
  • Benjamin: Really? Where?

(She snatches the key from the distracted Benjamin)

  • Marina Del Rey: [laughs] Ooh, yum-yums! Come to Mommy.

(The eel came out of the hole and swim around their master)

  • Marina Del Rey: [speaking in baby talk] Oh, yes. Mommy wuvs you.
  • Benjamin: OK, I'm not gonna watch this part. [shuddering]
  • Marina Del Rey: My, my, are you hungry? Ooh... Who wants crab cakes?
  • Benjamin: What are you going to do?
  • Marina Del Rey: Whatever it takes to get rid of Sebastian!
  • Benjamin: But what about Ariel? And Ash and his friends?
  • Marina Del Rey: Ariel? And Ash and his... You're right, they'll tattle. I'll have to get rid of them, too.
  • Benjamin: What?
  • Marina Del Rey: That's brilliant, Benjamin, brilliant!
  • Benjamin: OK, that wasn't what I meant.
  • Marina Del Rey: I never liked them anyway. I'll make it look like an accident. That's it! An accidental underwater ambush by a team of the cutest wittle yum-yums ever.
  • Benjamin: You've lost your mind.
  • Marina Del Rey: Sic 'em, boys!
  • Benjamin: Ooh, what hath we wrought?
  • Marina Del Rey: Oh, swim, you pretties. Swim, you pretties. Faster! Swim.

(Her eels swim out the window)

  • Marina Del Rey: Wait up!

(The eels kept on going)

The Heroes find the Music Box[edit | edit source]

[In the morning, Ash and Pikachu wake up then Ariel wakes up as well and hears something and see something flashing in the distance, Sebastian snoring]
  • Princess Ariel: Ash, wake up!
  • Ash Ketchum: What is it, Ariel?
  • Pikachu: Pika?
  • Princess Ariel: Do you hear something? [Ash and Pikachu hears something as well and saw something flashing in the distance]
  • Ash Ketchum: I hear something too. Whatever that sound is, it’s coming from over there. Let’s wake up Sebastian. I bet he knows what it is.
  • Princess Ariel: Good idea! Sebastian.
  • Sebastian: Five more minutes, Mommy.
  • Princess Ariel: Sebastian, did you hear that?
  • Sebastian: Leave me alone. Sleeping.
  • Princess Ariel: But there's something out there. Come on, help us find it.
  • Sebastian: I'm tired. You go check it out.
  • Ash Ketchum: Well if you changed your mind, you know where to find us. Come on, Pikachu.
  • Pikachu: Pikachu. [Ariel and Ash swim out to follow the sound, Sebastian watches her leave as Ariel and Ash swim to follow the sound, and she stopped near the kelp forest, She swim through the kelp forest, and they are amazed of what there seeing, A shiny cave is what she's entered, as she look through the walls]
  • Ash Ketchum: Wow!
  • Pikachu: Pika
  • Princess Ariel: [chuckles] [Ariel looks around and sees a reflection of herself and then she sees something, Ariel picks up the box and opens it and King Triton dancing with Queen Athena.]
  • Ash Ketchum: What is that?
  • Ariel: It’s a music box, Ash. You see those two figures? The queen is my mother along with my father.
  • Ash Ketchum: The queen is your mother?
  • Ariel: Yeah. It plays the most beautiful music ever!
  • Ash Ketchum: So what’s this music box doing out here and what’s it for anyway?
  • Pikachu: Pika?
  • Sebastian: It was an anniversary present. Your father had the music box made for your mother. Athena was more than his queen, you know. She was his best friend. [Flashback of her and her sisters young, and Triton dances with Athena. And they play with each other, and young Ariel playing the piano for the first time. And her bandaged hand being kissed by King Triton]
  • Princess Ariel: [VO] The family together. Music playing all the time.
  • Sebastian: [VO] The palace always echoing with laughter. [The two girls hide and then they tackled their father, and they laugh in joy, and fades to Triton and Athena being on the rock at the surface world. And we fade back to the present.]
  • Sebastian: When your mother died, the whole kingdom was heartbroken. The heart that never healed was your father's. [Ariel and Ash are sad about this]
  • Princess Ariel: It's so sad. He's forgotten what it feels like to be happy. I... I have to bring this back to him.
  • Sebastian: If you insist.
  • Princess Ariel: This is why we came here, isn't it? [Sebastian smiles and we cut to the gang]
  • Ray-Ray: Whoa, whoa, let me get this straight. You led us out here...
  • Ink Spot: To the armpit of nowhere, man.
  • Shelbow: In the hope that Red might find the music box. And now you wanna go back to the palace...
  • Ink Spot: To return the music box to the king...
  • Ray-Ray: On the chance that maybe it'll...
  • Shelbow: Remind him to remember how to be happy...
  • Ink Spot: And then he'll bring music back?
  • Sebastian: That about sums it up.
  • Cheeks: Couldn't we just strap it to a dolphin? He'd get it eventually. [The band gathered around again, to discuss it. And the band are done discussing it and say.]
  • Ray-Ray: Listen, the band talked it over, and...
  • Shelbow: We just can't take that chance.
  • Sebastian: What the--
  • Flounder: Huh?
  • Princess Ariel: It's OK. Maybe someday it'll be different. You'll come home and play music all you want.
  • Ray-Ray: Sure, Red. Someday. Someday.
  • Princess Ariel: Bye. [They swim different as Flounder is distaught by this]
  • Flounder: What? No, no, wait. Ray-Ray! Guys! We can't just let them go back alone.
  • Ray-Ray: Drop it, small fry.
  • Flounder: But we took an oath! To jump, jive, wail, groove, rock steady, and at all times lend a helping hand to your fellow music lovers!
  • Ray-Ray: The Catfish Club is history. That oath don't mean a thing.
  • Flounder: Well, it still means something to me. Hey, Ariel! Wait up! Ariel! [Flounder swims up to Ariel's direction as the band watch him go]

Marina attacks them/Finale Battle/King Triton apologizes to Ariel[edit | edit source]

  • Oogie Boogie: We got you heroes cornered!
  • Brock: So you followed us all the way to the bottom of the sea.
  • Negaduck: Well before we can attack. There's something you should all know that Marina wasn't planning on helping us capture you. She just wants to get rid of you by sending her eels to attack you.
  • Steelbeak: Just thought we can give you a fair warning of course.
  • Ash Ketchum: Wait. So you were trying to warn us?
  • James: Of course. We don't want to hurt you. Just trying to capture you.
  • Joker: And we all know Bowser's rules. So we are trying to follow them.
  • Korra: Guys. I believe they're telling the truth.

(Marina, who is still stuck in the coral tube, begins barreling towards Sebastian. However, her stunt does not go unnoticed by Ariel.)

  • Princess Ariel: [gasps] Sebastian!
  • Flounder: Look out!

(Ariel swims forward as her father watches in horror.)

  • King Triton: Ariel! No!

(Marina almost crushes Sebastian when Ariel rams into her, but the impact knocks them both out. The heroes gasp and watch wordlessly as the unconscious mermaid fell into the canyon. Ash rushes towards Ariel's body, and the others soon arrive and watch the scene helplessly.)

  • Ash Ketchum: Ariel! Ariel! Please wake up! Come on! [listens for a heartbeat] Korra, help me! Use your bending!

(Much to his dismay, Korra sadly shakes her head.)

  • Ash Ketchum: What? No! (tears began to form in his eyes) Come on, Ariel! I need you to wake up! We can't bring music back to Atlantica without you!

(Eventually, Ash breaks down crying as Triton appears on the scene. Brock begins to escort the heartbroken Ash to the sidelines, but the latter lets out a scream of agony as he does.)

  • Ash Ketchum: NO! NO! NO! (hangs his head as Brock pulls him into a hug) I'm so sorry, Ariel.

(Then, the music box falls down from Ariel's arms and it opens and plays the song, as King Triton listens to it and realizes what has become of him.)

  • King Triton: What have I done?
[King Triton]
Endless sky
Waves try to measure
The days that we treasure
(Then suddenly, Ariel wakes up)
  • Princess Ariel: Daddy?
  • King Triton: I'm... I'm so sorry I didn't listen. I'm sorry.
  • Princess Ariel: [hugs him] Daddy. Let's go home. (King Triton swims off with Ariel in his arms)
  • Flounder: Guys, you came back.
  • Ray-Ray: Sure did, small fry. Like you said, we took an oath.
  • Ink Spot: Come here, you little knucklehead. Group hug!
  • Cheeks: We dig you, man. (They group hug around Flounder, squeezing him)
  • Flounder: Guys, can't breathe.
(Then Sebastian closes the music box and smiles at the audience)

Triton restores music to Atlantica/Ending/Bonus scene: Bowser learns about Ash and his friends and angry with Marina[edit | edit source]

(Back in Atlantica)

  • Sebastian: (Narrating) So, Ariel came back home and life went on just the same as before.

(In the girls' room, they're all asleep)

  • Sebastian: Well, things weren't exactly the same.

(King Triton comes in)

  • King Triton: Rise and shine. It's a beautiful day.
  • Princesses: Daddy! Daddy!

(They hug their father)

  • King Triton: [chuckling]

(At the courtroom, the merpeople gathered in)

  • King Triton: [clears throat] To my daughters, and to all the citizens of Atlantica, I hereby decree that music will once again ring clear from one end of my kingdom to the other!
  • Crowd: (Cheers)
  • King Triton: Therefore, I hereby present Atlantica's first official Court Composer.
  • Flounder: Fabulous!

[indistinct chattering]

  • Sebastian: Thank you, Your Highness. [Offscreen] Uh.... [Onscreen] not that we don't trust you, Your Majesty, but... Swifty, hit it, mon.
  • Swifty: [clears throat] Raise your right hand, fin, claw, tentacle, or whatever the case may be.

(Triton raises his hand)

  • Swifty: Very good. Do you promise to jump, jive, wail, groove, and at all times lend a helping hand to your fellow music lovers?
  • King Triton: Um... I do?

(The crowd cheers)

(Arista blows on the flute, Adella kisses her crush and he jumps up in joy and the merpeople dance away, as Triton swims off somewhere.)

[Jeannette Bayardelle]

(King Triton goes to the statue of him and Queen Athena, and he places the music box as it opens up and it made the weeds on it disappear and turns the wasteland into a reef as Ariel shows up)

  • Princess Ariel: Daddy, how about a dance?
  • King Triton: I wouldn't miss it for the world.
  • Princess Aquata: Whoo! [chuckles] Conga!

(She dances terribly, but they rest shrugged and danced with her, Ariel and Triton)

[Jeannette Bayardelle]
For the rest of my life
  • Sebastian: (Narrating) So that's how a king and a princess brought a family back to life. And, after ten years, love and music finally returned to the kingdom of Atlantica. (We fade to the Atlantica and it fade black to the titles reading "The End")
    [Jeannette Bayardelle]
    I will sing for the rest of my life

(And then we go to the dungeon where Marina and Benjamin are locked up)

  • Benjamin: Let's think about what we've learned. You just can't hurt people. Hurting is mean. We don't want to be mean, do we?
  • Marina Del Rey: (Blows her nose) Maybe you're right.
  • Benjamin: That's my girl. Samba?

(up-tempo music plays, as he dances, and Marina joins in on the dance)

  • Benjamin: Ooh-wa, ooh-wa!

(As Benjamin keep dancing, Marina suddenly disappear like magic)

  • Benjamin: Feeling better now, Marina? (turning to notice she is gone) Marina?

(The scene change to the familiar castle as the Koopa Guards drag Marina)

  • Koopa Guard 1: Marina Del Rey, Your Majesty! (They toss her to the floor)
  • Marina Del Rey: Oof! Seriously? Do they know how to respect a--?
  • Bowser: Get in here, Marina! Don't make me wait!

(Marina hears a familiar voice, she looks up and gets shocked to see it was Bowser sitting on his throne with his wife "Mistress 9" and their son "Bowser Jr". Marina gulps in nervousness as she started to swim up to them)

  • Marina Del Rey: (to herself) Ok, Marina, just keep it to yourself and remain calm. Don't you dare mention to him about what really happened to you after got beat up by a boy with his strange creature called Pokémon and got sent to jail.

(She swims up to them and bows to Bowser)

  • Marina Del Rey: (squeaky voice) Yes? (Clear throat) Yes, your majesty?
