(On the other side of the door, Ash and his friends are all cleaned up and ready for dinner with Ariel and the prince.)

'''Ash Ketchum''': (peaking through the keyhole) Okay, guys, they're gonna let us in now. So, remember, we're doing this for Ariel's sake. Don't say anything about Ursula, her cronies, King Triton, Atlantica, merpeople, or any of that stuff. Be dignified and act naturally. Got it?

'''All Heroes''': Got it.

(As the door opened, Ash and his gang stepped in. They all bowed down to show their respect towards the royal family of his kingdom.)

'''Ash Ketchum''': (clears throat) So, Eric, what do you make of her? Doesn't she look festive or what?

'''Prince Eric''': (looks at Ariel's new look and smiles) Uh...You look wonderful.

'''Grimsby''': Come, come, come, you must be famished. Let me help you my dear. (escorts her to the table and provides her a comfy seat) There we go, ah, that's better, quite comfy? Hmm? (chuckles)

(Ariel was comfy in her seat and she looked around her. This was a brand new experience for Ariel, and so far it was turning out nicely. In addition, these humans were very helpful and friendly. Ash and the gang all sat down as well, across from Ariel, getting ready for their meal.)

'''Grimsby''': It's not often that we have such special guests, eh Eric?

(Ariel picks up the fork and starts combing it with her hair like Scuttle described it. Everyone looked at Ariel with surprised looks.)

'''Ash Ketchum''': (firmly clears throat and signals Ariel to put the fork down)

(Embarrassed, Ariel puts it down before noticing Grimsby's smoke pipe. Brightening up again, she took it and examined it.)

'''Grimsby''': Uh, do you like it?

'''Ash Ketchum''': (becomes nervous and gasps; quietly) No, no, no, no, no.

'''Grimsby''': It is rather fine...

(Ariel swiftly blew into the pipe, and out came a lot of black smoke. It covered Grimsby's face as Prince Eric and most of Ash's gang chuckled. Ash groans and facepalms in complete embarrassment.)

'''Carlotta''': Oh, my! (giggles)

'''Asami Sato''': Yikes! (giggles)

'''Ash Ketchum''': (quietly) Geez, we've got a lot of work to do with her.

'''Prince Eric''': (clears throat) I'm so sorry, Grim.

'''Carlotta''': Why, Eric, that's the first time I've seen you smile in weeks.

'''Ash Ketchum''': Huh?

'''Misty''': There's no need to be embarrassed, Ash. He actually liked it.

(At the kitchen, Sebastian looks with gasp to find the chef, Chef Louis singing)

First I cut off their heads

(Sebastian examines a dead fish's head and gasps)

I pull out what's inside

And I serve it up fried.

God, I love little fishes, don't you?

(Louis adds cooked fish to a platter)

Here's something for tempting the palate

Prepared in the classic technique.

First you pound the fish flat with a mallet.

(Louis pounds the table hard)

Then you slash off their skin.

Give their belly a slice.

Then you rub some salt in

'Cause that makes it taste nice.

(Louis removes a leaf from the counter and finds Sebastian hiding underneath)

(Spoken) ''Zut alors!'' I have missed one!

(Louis picks up Sebastian)

''Sacré bleu!'' What is this?

How on earth could I miss

Such a sweet little succulent crab?

''Quel dommage'', what a loss!

Here we go in the sauce.

Now some flour-I think just a dab.

(Sebastian sneezes)

Now I stuff you with bread.

It don't hurt, 'cause you're dead

And you're certainly lucky you are.

(Sebastian spits out the stuffed crab filling)

In my big silver pot

(Sebastian almost ends up in the boiling pot but grabs hold of the ledge before a heated bubble causes him to jump out and lands on the table)

'''Chef Louis''': Eh? (Sebastian notices Louis and hides in his shell as Louis uses a steak knife to pick him up and examine) What is this?

(Then Sebastian pinches his nose with his claws)

'''Chef Louis''': OW!

(Sebastian fell close to a pot on the heating stove and then notices Chef Louis trying to get him as he jumps off. Louis ends up burning his hand)

'''Chef Louis''': YEOW! (a frying pan hits his foot and he hops in pain) Ooh, ow, eek, ow, oh, oh, ooh!

(He turns to his kitchen knives and grabs them while throwing them to Sebastian as he panickily runs under a counter as Louise check the hole he went in while Sebastian dropped a bowl of sauce on his head and Louis growls mad and lifted his butcher's knife to air and stomped into the counter only to find no sing of Sebastian as he looks and then spots him running as Louis tosses one knife to block his way. Sebastian ran under Louis to a huge kitchen shelf with glass dishes. Louis runs screaming with a hammer as Sebastian takes cover while Louis jumps and crashed into the shelve with a big CRASH as Ariel, Eric, Grimsby, Carlotta, Ash, and the heroes heard from the table)

???: What was that?

???: I don't know.

???: Beats me.

???: It sounds like it came from the kitchen.

'''Carlotta''': I think I'd better go see what Louis is up to. (she runs off)

(At the kitchen we find it a complete mess as Louis, whose outfit was rather all a mess was seen trying to find Sebastian like crazy)

'''Chef Louis''': Come out, you little pipsqueak, and fight like a man!

'''Carlotta''': (comes in) Louis!

'''Chef Louis''': (hits his head) Ow.

'''Carlotta''': What are you doing?!

'''Chef Louis''': Well, I was just, uh... I'm sorry, madam. (puts out a flame on his mustache's left side)

'''Carlotta''': (huffs)

(She leaves with the dish orders. Back in the dining room, everyone continued the conversation together.)

'''Grimsby''': You know, Eric, perhaps our dear guests might enjoy seeing some of the sights of the kingdom. Something in the way of a tour.

'''Brock''': A tour you say? Oh, we'd love that!

'''Kimberly Ann Hart''': Oh, that would be delightful!

'''Trini Kwan''': Absolutely!

'''Jack Skellington''': Of course!

'''Ash Ketchum''': Oh, yes, definitely! A tour of the prince's kingdom would be fabulous. 

'''Misty''': It's a marvelous idea! (whispers to Ash) And it's the perfect opportunity to keep an eye on the two of them and see if they fall in love. Right, Ash?

'''Ash Ketchum''': (whispers) Exactly that.

'''Prince Eric''': I'm sorry, Grim, what was that?

'''Grimsby''': You can't spend all your time moping about, you need to get out. Do something, have a life.

''(Grimsby lifts his plate's cover to reveal Sebastian cowering in the salad with a side of cottage cheese. He motions "shh.")''

''(Ariel beckons him to hide in her plate.)''

'''Prince Eric''': Easy, Grim, easy. It's not a bad idea, if she's interested.

''(Sebastian runs to Ariel's plate and she covers it, leaning heavily on her plate's cover when Eric looks at her.)''

'''Prince Eric''': Well - whaddaya say? Would you like to join me on a tour of my kingdom tomorrow?

''(Ariel nods vigorously.)''

'''Grimsby''': Wonderful, now let's eat, before this crab wanders off my plate.

''(He stabs his fork in an empty plate and becomes confused to see that his 'crab' is really gone.)''

(Later that night, Ariel is watching Eric playing with Max from the balcony above.)

'''Prince Eric''': (whistles) Come here, boy.

(Max happily barked, ran up to him and licked him. Ariel smiled at the prince, happy to have met him in person and see him have a fun time with his dog. Eric noticed Ariel looking down at him and waved at her, happy to have met her too. Ariel, slightly embarrassed, waved back before going back to her room. Eric continued gazing at the woman, happy to have made a new friend. In her room, Ariel combed her hair with a fork as Sebastian complained about his experience in the kitchen.)

'''Sebastian''': (removing the food particles off his shell) This has got to be without a doubt the single most humiliating day of my life.

'''Zhane''': We're really sorry we made you go through all that, Sebastian. But we couldn't help it being Prince Eric's guests to his castle.

'''Sebastian''': I am not blaming it on any of you for this. (gets patted on the head by Ariel) I hope that you appreciate what we go through for you, young lady. Now, we got to make a plan to get that boy to kiss you. Tomorrow, when he takes you for that ride, you gotta look your best.

'''Tommy Oliver''': Most definitely. We all agreed to go with them for the tour of the kingdom. That will be a good chance for Ariel and Eric to know each other. 

'''Ash Ketchum''': Great idea, Tommy!

'''Misty''': The more they bond together, the better we'll have a chance of getting them to fall in love.

'''Bolin''': And Ariel needs to look her best, just like what Sebastian said.

'''Sebastian''': That's right. Now Ariel, you gotta bat your eyes...like this. (bats his eyes, then puckered up his lips) You gotta pucker up your lips...like this.

(Ariel is already sound asleep)

'''Kimberly Ann Hart''': How about that? Looks like Ariel is starting to get used to the way things are on land.

'''Billy Cranston''': Looks like it.

'''Zack Taylor''': Yep. So far so good.

'''Ash Ketchum''': I just hope we'd get her to kiss Eric on time before the sun sets on the third day.

'''Misty''': Oh, don't worry, Ash. We will. (sees Ash feeling upset) Still upset about what happened in the grotto?

'''Ash Ketchum''': (sighs) Yeah... (turns to Ariel sleeping)

'''Jason Lee Scott''': Now I don't mean to be rude and all, but Ash, how in the world were you able to make friends with King Triton even if he has an incredibly explosive temper problem?

'''Kimberly Ann Hart''': And why is King Triton so against humans? What did humans ever do to him that made him so angry that all of a sudden, he feels the urge to eliminate them?

'''Trini Kwan''': Yeah, what did we ever do to him that made him hate us too much? What is he so afraid of?

(Ash looks at his friends in silence. But knowing that it's time for his friends to know the real truth, he takes a deep breath and sighs.)

'''Ash Ketchum''': Okay, I guess it's time that Sebastian and I tell you what's really going on. It was a while back when we all first met them during our underwater exploration in Atlantica. That was when Triton was still in power and was a lot stricter than he is right now.

'''Sebastian''': (crawls up on Ash's shoulder) It was a very difficult time for Ariel. She grew up in a world with no music, no fun, and without a mother.

(Everyone gasps. But little did everyone knew; Ariel sharply opens her eyes and starts listening to the conversation but pretends she's still sleeping and doesn't move.)

'''Trini Kwan''': She didn't have a mother?

'''Korra''': That's terrible.

'''Ash Ketchum''': Well, during our first visitation in Atlantica, Sebastian told me, and Ariel at one time, that when she and her sisters were very little, King Triton loved taking them to the surface world where they can play and have fun. He even loved hearing his wife, who was also the queen, sing beautiful songs to them. He loved the queen like he had never loved anyone before in his life.

'''Asami Sato''': So, what happened to her?

'''Ash Ketchum''': Then one day, on their wedding anniversary, King Triton gave his wife a beautiful music box as a present. It was a happy moment for them. But all of a sudden, a group of vicious pirates appeared and that's when things went out of control. The pirates attacked them and stolen any kind of treasure they possessed. King Triton and his daughters managed to get away, but Ariel's mother wasn't so lucky. She stayed behind to recover her music box. But unfortunately, she ended up.... ended up...

'''Zhane''': Getting killed?

(Ash somberly nods his head, saying yes. All of his friends felt very sad when they heard the story.)

'''Sebastian''': When Ariel's mother died, the entire kingdom was heartbroken. And the heart that we feared would never heal.... was her father's.

'''Ash Ketchum''': And since that tragic time, her father detested all humans.

'''Korra''': So, that explains why King Triton hates humanity. Because a group of pirates murdered his wife on the day of their anniversary.

'''Jason Lee Scott''': So, instead of moving on from what had happened like any parent should, he blames his queen's death on the entire human race. The species he knows very little about.

'''Kimberly Ann Hart''': And since then, all he could see in humans was the badness in them.

'''Billy Cranston''': While even stubbornly refusing to see the goodness in them.

'''Ash Ketchum''': Yes, that's right. You see, when we first came to Atlantica, I didn't know anything about it. And neither did you guys. By then, we were doing some underwater explorations to find new water-type Pokémon. But when we discovered the kingdom, it was when music was banned as a result of the queen's death. I thought it was the stupidest thing to do, and someone else agreed with me. (points to Ariel) It was her.

'''Kronk''': So, you and Ariel became good friends during that time?

'''Ash Ketchum''': Yes, but here's the thing. When I first met Ariel, she thought I was a merperson like her. But in actuality, I wasn't because I was wearing flippers while trying to look for my partner, Pikachu, after it wandered off. For she mistook my flippers as a tailfin that looked identical to hers. When I heard about the banning of music in Atlantica, I had a really bad feeling that the king might also have a hatred to humans. I was afraid of what he might do to me if I revealed myself to him and reveal you guys as well. So, in order to protect my true identity, I had no choice but to make you all dress up like merpeople to fit in with the other merfolk. But in order to protect you guys from the king's anger during our visits and to keep our secret safe, I went to Zordon for his help. I told him about the problem I'm having with the sea king's hatred towards humans straining with my friendship towards Ariel and he reluctantly agreed by granting us the ability to breathe underwater. But on the condition to not get caught up in the act nor go too far in deceiving everyone.

'''Asami Sato''': I see.

'''Ash Ketchum''': But even so, while we did manage to get the king to lift the banning of music, we were unable to get him to change his mind about humans. You see, during our visits, he always told us, including Ariel, to never go near any humans. Ironically, he did not know that I'm a human myself. Because I was so scared of revealing my identity to him.

'''Trini Kwan''': So, during your first meeting, you never told King Triton that you're a human?

'''Ash Ketchum''': Yes.

'''Tomax Oliver''': And you didn't even tell Ariel?

'''Ash Ketchum''': I would've told her, but I couldn't. Because she wasn't too interested in humans at that time. But after a while, she started to become fascinated in them and began disobeying her father more frequently. Even if humans interested her, I couldn't feel the urge to tell her anything about me or you guys. It would've caused her to lose her trust in me. After everything we've been through in our adventures, after how she looked out for me when I needed her, and even after when she called me her best friend. But now that she knows who we really are and where we really came from, I felt so bad about lying to her and hurting her feelings. And now that the king knows too, I fear that he will never allow us to come to Atlantica anymore. All because of a stupid mistake I've ever made: lying to someone who looked up to me and trusted me as a friend. (He started to cry.)

'''Zhane''': Oh... So that's why you kept telling us to bring swimwear every time we visited Atlantica. It was because Ariel mistook you for a merperson during your first meeting. And because of her desire to meet you and all of us, you've been so scared of what her father would say or do if we revealed our human heritage to her.

'''Korra''': And all that time, while under those disguises, you've been trying to get the sea king to build better relationships with humans just so he can see the goodness in them and reconsider his hatred.

'''Brock''': While even abandon his rules against them. And in doing so, you were doing that to protect those close to you. Including Ariel.

(Ash nods his head sadly while shedding tears.) 

'''Ash Ketchum''': And that's not the only reason. Now that she made a deal with Ursula. She was able to become human. And now I...just don't want to lose her...the same way what happen to Marina....

Korra: Marina?

Misty: She was another mermaid that we met when we were with Pooh and the others as well the Rebels, during our vacation in Denmark after the Shredder's defeat. She made a deal with another sea witch to help her become human to fall in love with another prince in his kingdom. She warns Marina that if she doesn't marry him, she will die.

Brock: Ash had a crush on her ever since. She was about to kill the prince with the dagger in order to save her life. But she couldn't do it and ends up accepting her fate. Her body slowly turned to foam and ascended into the sky.

Ash Ketchum: And It was then I vowed to never have a crush on another woman again...knowing that it would hinder my responsibilities to the Rebels and to Zordon.

Korra: (''Consolingly.)'' Ash...

Billy Cranston: The Marios decided to leave him with Delia's younger sister, April O'Neil.

(His team stand there sympathetically at their remorseful leader, feeling sorry for what he tried to do, but failed miserably. Ariel, though sympathetic, still had a bit of resentment towards Ash for lying to her and her family all the time during his visits in the kingdom of Atlantica. But couldn't help that he had good intentions on protecting those close to him. Including her. With no other choice, she reluctantly decides to give him another chance during the tour with Prince Eric.)

'''Pikachu:''' (sympathetic) Pika, Pika....

'''Jack Skellington''': (comforts Ash) There, there. Do not worry about the king right now.

'''Asami Sato''': (smiling) Yeah. At least we tried our best to show him what we really are, though it didn't work out the way we hoped. But now, we need to focus on helping Ariel win Prince Eric's heart and save her from becoming Ursula's slave.

'''Trini Kwan''': And besides, you had good intentions. You were just doing what's best for us and what's best for Ariel and her family.

'''Ash Ketchum''': (looks at Ariel then turns back to his friends) Maybe you're right. Even if I did do a terrible thing to a really good friend, I hope we can do it. Hopefully, it would be enough to atone for what I did and maybe regain Ariel's trust.

'''Sebastian''': Ash, I remember that you had an extraordinary amount of loyalty to Ariel wherever you visited us in Atlantica. Maybe you can show her that same loyalty to her here on land. That way, she will be saved from Ursula's wrath, and she might even forgive you.

'''Ash Ketchum''': Y-you think so, Sebastian?

'''Sebastian''': Yes, Ash. I know so.

'''Ash Ketchum''': (slowly starts to feel better) Thank you for understanding my intentions, Sebastian. And for understanding who we are and where we're from.

'''Sebastian''': Oh, don't mention it, man. It might not have been easy to get used to at first, but I've grown to see what a special friend you've become. So, from now on, I don't care who you and your friends are nor where you're from anymore.

'''Brock''': That's great to hear. (looks at his watch) Hmm. It's getting late. We should go get some rest. We have a busy day for Ariel tomorrow.

'''Misty''': (yawns) Yeah. I agree. We need to be ready for her.

'''Tommy Oliver''': Absolutely. Good night, everyone.

(Ariel gasps and immediately goes back to sleep. The heroes begin leaving Ariel's room and head off to bed. Sebastian blows out the candle and hops on to Ariel's pillow.)

'''Sebastian''': You are hopeless, child. You know that. (lays down on the pillow) Completely hopeless. (yawns and goes to sleep)

(As the others left to go to sleep, Ash stayed behind and looked at Ariel. He walks up to her, tucks her in a warm blanket, and places his hand on her head. He leaned in closer to whisper in her ear)

'''Ash Ketchum''': (whispering) Ariel, trust me when I'm saying this. I may not have been what you thought I was, but I'm still gonna stay by your side. Just like before.

(Ash turns and leaves the room, now full of confidence and determination to complete the task and make sure Ariel is safe. Ariel wakes up and looks at the door where Ash walked out, wondering if he truly will stay by her side like he did back in Atlantica. though she couldn't helped but overhear their conversation about the story she heard about Ash's time with Marina. She feels deeply sorry for him. Guess we'll find out during her time with Prince Eric on land. Meanwhile, back in Atlantica, King Triton heard about his daughter's disappearance and has ordered everyone to go on a search party to find her. The seahorse herald arrives as the king paced back in forth, worrying about his daughter.)

'''King Triton''': Any sign of them?

'''Seahorse Herald''': No, your majesty. We searched everywhere. We've found no trace of your daughter or Sebastian.

'''King Triton''': What about Ash and his friends? Did you find them by any chance?

'''Seahorse Herald''': I'm afraid not, sir. They're nowhere to be seen either. It's most likely that they've vanished alongside your daughter.

'''King Triton''': Well, keep looking. Leave no shell unturned, no coral unexplored. Let no one in this kingdom sleep until they're all safe at home.

'''Seahorse Herald''': Yes, sire. (bows and leaves)

(Now alone, King Triton sulks in his throne, feeling guilty about losing his temper, lashing out at his daughter, destroying the treasures in her grotto, and how he cruelly mistreated Ash and his friends after finding out they were humans in mermaid swimwear. He flashes back to the moment Ash questioned him for his harsh actions before heading out of the grotto.)

'''Ash Ketchum''': (flashback) Do you honestly think that Athena would've wanted any of this, your majesty?

(The flashback ends. King Triton is now completely broken then before. Seeing that Ash made a good point. His queen never wanted him to act so barbaric to his own daughter nor to any of her friends. Even if they are humans.)

'''King Triton''': (remorseful) Oh, what have I done? What have I done?
