Madeline: Allo? Dr. Cohn? C'est tragique! An emergency! Come at once, s'il vous plait.

(Just then knocking on the door is heard.)

Nicole: Oh, I wonder who that could be?

Chloe: I will get the door. (answers the door) Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, Togepi! How wonderful to see you.

(Genevieve barks happily and jumped onto Ash. She then affectionately licks Ash's face which caused him to laugh.)

Ash Ketchum: (laughing) Okay, Genevieve, okay, okay. I'm happy to see you too.

Pikachu: Pika Pika. 

Madeline: Oh, thank goodness you are all here. We need your help.

Bugs Bunny: With what?

'''Ms. Clavel:''' ''(sneezes)'' Ah-ah-ah-choo!

Velma Dinkley: Oh, dear! Looks like Miss Clavel has a head cold.

Danielle: Oui.

Nicole: Madeline had just called Dr. Cohn and he is on his way.

Brock: That's great.

(Mrs. Murphy fixes up some soup for Ms. Clavel.)

Madeline: Merci, Mrs. Murphy.

Mrs. Murphy: Be careful.

(Dr. Cohn checks Miss Clavel's temperature.)

Dr. Cohn: Hmm.

(The girls give Miss Clavel soup.)

Miss Clavel: Merci, girls. Whatever would I do without you?

Dr. Cohn: Oh, this is not good. You must stay in bed.

Miss Clavel: But my girls.

Dr. Cohn: They will look after you.

(Just then an out of tune violin is heard playing which caused our heroes to cover their ears.)

Heroes: (scream in pain as they cover their ears)

Miss Clavel: (groans) My head! It already aches so badly.

Daffy Duck: (groans in annoyance) Pepito!

Narrator: The disturbance, it seems, came from next door at the house of the Spanish Ambassador, where Pepito was, so to speak, settling a score.

Madeline: Pepito!

Pepito: Huh? 

(Madeline waves to him) 

Ash Ketchum: (sighs) That's better.

Pepito: Hola, Madeline. Hola, Ash and Pikachu.

Pikachu: Pika, pi.

Ash Ketchum: Hola, Pepito. What are you doing?

Pepito: Mama insists I learned to play the violin.

Ash Ketchum: That's nice, Pepito. But I'm afraid Miss Clavel is not feeling well just now.

Madeline: That is right. Your music is hurting her head.

Ash Ketchum: We're sorry, but your violin practice will have to wait until she is recovered.

Pikachu: Pikachu. 

Pepito: (understands) Oh. Perfecto, Ash! I will tell Mama no violin till Miss Clavel is better.

Ash Ketchum: There, Miss Clavel, peace and quiet for you.

Miss Clavel: Merci, Ash.

Dr. Cohn: Til tomorrow!

Misty: Is there anything we can do, Dr. Cohn?

Dr. Cohn: Of course. Keep her warm and give her love. She will recover soon enough.

Girls: Merci, Dr. Cohn!

Madeline: There. All tucked in.

Nicole: Miss Clavel, you may play with my marbles. They will cheer you up.

Brock: Yeah, and you'll feel better, Miss Clavel.

Miss Clavel: Thank you, ma petite, but you keep them. And, Brock, that is very kind of you to say that. (Brock chuckles) (to Nicole) I know how you treasure them. Do not worry, mes enfants. You make me happy. Tomorrow I will be better. (coughs) And I will take care of you.

Ash Ketchum: I think we'd better leave Miss Clavel to rest.

Girls: (nodding) Mmm-hmm.

Misty: Rest easy, Miss Clavel.

Miss Clavel: Merci, Misty.

=== Talking about families ===
Narrator: Miss Clavel went to sleep as the girls tiptoed out. But that evening at bedtime, they still have some doubts.

Girls: Aww...

Pikachu: Pika Pika. 

Madeline: What more can we do for Miss Clavel?

Chloe: Papa reads books to me when I am sick. (remembers when she was a little girl, her father reads in french, young Chloe giggles happily)

Chloe: How about you, Ash?

Ash Ketchum: My mom would stay by my side when I feel sick, she'd take care of me. (sighs) I don't know much about my dad since he left early and never came back.  

Nicole: Grandmama made me her special onion soup.

(Nicole remembers as a little girl tastes the soup.)

Young Nicole: Oh, c'est bon.

Nicole: How about you, Misty?

Misty: I live with my three older sisters, Daisy, Violet and Lily who are also known as The Sensational Sisters. I'm the youngest of four girls and my sisters refer to me as the runt of the litter.

Danielle: Mama comes home late from her performances. But we still play with my dolls.

(Danielle's mother comes into her bedroom, she squeaks the doll which caused young Danielle giggles happily.)

Danielle: How about you, Brock?

Brock: I take care of my younger siblings because I'm the oldest.

Madeline: (sighs) I remember Mama would let me stay in her bed and brush my hair. (remembers Madeline as a little girl with her mother) She let me wear the necklace Papa gave her when they first met. But not anymore. (sighs) At least you still have your families I have no one now.

Nicole: (crying) Poor Madeline.

Chloe: No family?

Danielle: How sad.

(The girls began crying as Madeline lowers her head while Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu look on with worry. Miss Clavel wakes up upon hearing the girls crying she turned on the light.)

Miss Clavel: (worried) Something is not right. Something is quite wrong. (enters the girls' bedroom) Little girls, what is wrong?

Madeline: We are sorry, Miss Clavel.

Nicole: We are feeling sad because poor Madeline has no family.

Miss Clavel: Mes enfants, do not forget. We are not only born into families, we can also find them, just as we have found each other. Families come in all shapes and sizes.

(The scene goes to the next day.)
Narrator: The morning arrived and the postman as well. With a letter addressed care of Miss Clavel.

(The postman drives up to the front door and throws a letter to Genevieve.)

Madeline: Bonjour, Miss Clavel. How are you feeling?

Miss Clavel: Much better, mes petite. Merci.

Shaggy Rogers: Oh, like whatcha got there, Genevieve?

Misty: Looks like a letter. Addressed to Miss Clavel. (gives it to Miss Clavel)

Madeline: Bon, Genevieve.

Miss Clavel: (opens the envelope and reads the letter) Ooh, la, la!

Pikachu: Pika?

Ash Ketchum: What is it?

Chloe: An announcement?

Danielle: An invitation?

Nicole: A birthday card?

Girls: For whom?

Miss Clavel: Madeline?

Madeline: Oui, Miss Clavel? "Mit love, from your long-lost Uncle Horst." I am part of a family! I have an uncle! 

Pikachu: Pika?

Ash Ketchum: Madeline's got an uncle?!

Miss Clavel: From Vienna! 

Madeline: And he is coming here! To see me!

Madeline: Do you think he'll have red hair like mine? Who will he be this Uncle Horst?

Chloe: I know a famous novelist from the Academy like a beloved Victor Hugo.

Danielle: A brave soilder. Non, non, a general with medals and decorations or an admiral in command of his own fleet.

Nicole: Non, non, he must be a prince with a castle and fine horses. Madeline, what do you see?

Madeline: He's sure to be handsome.

Chloe: And intelligent.

Danielle: And rich.

Nicole: And slender.

Madeline: And very, very kind. Monsieur Perfect. (goes to sleep)

=== Meeting Uncle Horst ===
(The scene changes to the girls, Miss Clavel, Ash, Brock and Misty going for their walk.)



Madeline: (runs downstairs) He's here! (laughs)

Miss Clavel: (stops her) Alors! Wait! We must make a first impression, non? Oui.

(The girls come downstairs laughing as Miss Clavel gestured them to settle down and knocking is heard on the door.)

Uncle Horst: Fraulein Clavel, I presume. Ja, I am Madeline's Uncle Horst.

Miss Clavel: Mais oui, Monsieur. And this is Madeline.

Madeline: Bonjour, Monsieur.

Uncle Horst: Ah, how could I not recognize my own kind? And every bit as beautiful as your mutter.

Madeline: Mama?! You knew her?!

Uncle Horst: (chuckles) But of course. I am your Uncle, nein? Family!

Madeline: Family? I did not know I had any.

Uncle Horst: Ist gut, ja?

Madeline: Oh, oui. Ja!

Girls: Ja!

Uncle Horst: And now...the gifts.

(The blue-haired cab driver brings 12 gifts which caused the girls to react in amazement.)

Girls: What can it be? He brought gifts for all of us!

Narrator: There were ribbons and boxes all over the place as each girl uncovered a collar of lace.

Madeline: So beautiful! And from my uncle!

All: Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Horst! 

Miss Clavel: You are most kind, Herr Horst.

Uncle Horst: No, no, no. It is my pleasure.  It is good etiquette, ja, to bring parting gifts.

Misty: Parting gifts? What do you mean?

Daphne Blake: Yeah, what are you talking about? You just got here.

Brock: That's funny. I don't remember Vienna ever having a finishing school there.

Fred Jones: Neither did I.

Ash Ketchum: Guys, I'm a bit concerned about Madeline's uncle. Do you find it weird that he really wants to make her leave so badly?

Misty: What do you mean, Ash? Madeline seemed pretty happy to see him.

Brock: Yeah, and he's her family. So, we don't see the problem.

Ash Ketchum: But Brock, you saw her face the moment he said that he wants to take her to this finishing school in Vienna. She doesn't even like the idea.

Velma Dinkley: True. But maybe she doesn't want to go. We have a difference of opinion. Who are we to question Horst's Viennese culture?

Ash Ketchum: Horst arranged the whole thing without any consultation. How do we even know if anything he said about this Viennese school is real?

Fred Jones: Hmm... I think we know what you're talking about, Ash. I'll go and see if I can do a little research on Vienna. Just to see if I can find any sources of finishing schools built there.

Bugs Bunny: Good idea.

Daffy Duck: Yeah.

Ash Ketchum: In the meantime, let's keep an eye on her "uncle" when he visits us again tomorrow. For all we know, he could probably be up to something with Madeline.

Heroes: Okay.

=== Dinner with Uncle Horst ===
Daphne: We have to look our best for tonight.

Miss Clavel: That is right, Daphne. Remember, girls, we must show Madeline's Uncle Horst that we are as good as any Viennese finishing school. Then perhaps he will let her stay with us. We will be tres delicate, non?

Girls: Oui!


Maid: Madames and monsiers, dinner is served.

(Later, everyone is gathered at the table having dinner.)

Madeline: Here at school, I have learned to play the piano.

Uncle Horst: Most beneficial, but in Vienna you will learn to play the flute.

Danielle: She has also learned to paint.

Uncle Horst: (to Madeline) In Vienna, you will also learn to sculpt.

Chloe: And she's learned um...

Nicole: Football!

Madeline: (gasps) She means...physics!

Uncle Horst: (chuckles) Young ladies do not need know such things.

(Ash becomes suspicious while his friends rolled their eyes upon hearing that rude remark.)

Bugs Bunny: (whispers) What's he talking about?

Daffy Duck: (whispers) Beats me, pal.

Lord Cucuface: Our girls are quite top of the line, are they not?

Uncle Horst: Not as top as Vienna.

Lord Cucuface: Really? I say we had a girl three years ago (clears throat) married a duke.

Madeline: And one who is now a famous writer.

Uncle Horst: In Madeline's new class, there will be three girls who are already duchesses, four countesses, two princesses on an empress to be.

(Madeline imagines what her "uncle" is talking about, and she shrinks while being surrounded by duchesses, countesses, and princesses.)

Madeline: (gasps in embarrassment)

Ash and his friends: (suspicious) Huh?

Pikachu: Pika?

Lord Cucuface: Um, I believe that our girls have something very special for us this evening.

Pikachu: Pika Pika. 

Chloe: I count like countess. 

Nicole: I speak Dutch like a duchess. 

Pepito: And she prince like a princess. 

Girls: (singing) We can sing, we can dance,

We write poems with compassion.

All into Parisian fashion.

We are dainty, proper, and well-bred.

Uncle Horst: (singing) My, how refined.

Girls: We can dance ballet in all positions,

Chloe: (singing) Sing at the opera. (sings off-key) Mi-mi-mi-mi-mi!!!

(Horst's glass breaks.)

Uncle Horst: (singing) Hmm, how very smooth.

Girls: (singing) We can swim, we can skate,

We can gallop with perfection.

We can cook, we can bake,

Any food of this selection.

We are dainty, proper, and well-bred.

Tres tres will travel and tres tres well read.

Uncle Horst: (singing) I find a bringing you've been giving.

Considering the place, you live in.

But, to learn correctly, if you please.

I'll find a teacher who's Viennese.

Miss Clavel: (singing) They can weave, they can sew,

Lord Cucuface: (singing) They can quote from the classics,

in fluent Greek and Latin.

Spanish Ambassador's wife: (singing) They are dainty, proper, and well-bred.

Spanish Ambassador: (singing) Muy muy will travel and muy muy well read.

(Pepito plays his violin off-key, which makes Uncle Horst uncomfortable.)

Girls: (singing) We can sing, we can dance,

We write poems with compassion.

We can draw, we can paint

All into Parisian fashion.

We are dainty, proper, and well-bred.

Uncle Horst: (singing) Nein! Nein!

Girls: (singing) Tres tres will travel and tres tres tres tres tres.... well read. (speaks) Oui oui!

=== Madeline's departure ===
(Madeline climbs into bed.)

Miss Clavel: Sleep well, mes cheries.

Girls: Oui, Miss Clavel, we will try. 

Miss Clavel: Oh.

Madeline: I can't believe this is my last night.

Nicole: C'est horrible.

Danielle: Non, non, it is wonderful for Madeline. (crying)

Chloe: Oh, Madeline. What ever will we do without you?

Madeline: Do not worry, mes amies. I will come and visit.

Danielle: Promise?

Nicole: Soon?

Madeline: Soon as I can.

Girls: Friends for now and forever.

Narrator: Try as he might to stop daylight from breaking, Pepito had failed, and all Paris was waking. And 12 little girls met the morning with dread...thinking of sorrowful goodbyes ahead. As the girls made their beds, it was hard to ignore that Madeline, sadly, would sleep there no more. And at breakfast, the mood went from gloomy to worse as the girls all recited their favorite verse.

Girls: We love our bread, we love our butter, but most of all we love Madeline! (Crying)

Miss Clavel: Little girls, your tears will make the hot chocolate salty. (sheds tears)

Uncle Horst: Now, my sweet.

(Genevieve barks)

Narrator: Genevieve ran up on a seat.

Uncle Horst: Nein, nein, nein.  

Chloe: GENEVIEVE WANTS TO GO WITH MADELINE.

Misty: She'll be lonesome without Madeline otherwise.

Chloe: That is right and WE'VE ALL AGREED.

Girls: Oui, oui. 

Nicole: She will keep you company.

Narrator: As time grew short, there was packing to do with Madeline's clothes and some memories, too.

(KISS kiss)

???: Go with Madeline. 

[Squeaks]

Narrator: The suitcase closed, but did not click...

Madeline: Unh! Unh!

Narrator: Till 3 more bottoms did the trick.

Pepito: Ah!

Narrator: Pepito was searching and hoped to find a farewell gift for Madeline. 

Pepito: What would she like best? My slingshot? Mmm, maybe not. Ah, my top! But where is the string? My prize toad. Sun-dried, of course. Mmm. ¡Sí, si! The best of all! A present from the ambassador of Brazil. A genuine imitation shrunken head. ¡Perfecto!

Narrator: While Pepito was busily wrapping his treat, a taxicab waited outside in the street...as Uncle Horst gestured and said...

Madeline: Merci, Miss Clavel.

Uncle Horst: (clears throat) Ja, vell, you have me now und it is time to go. Ve must be punctual. Auf wiedersehen.

Girls: Ohh.

(Uncle Horst comes into the taxi and the taxi leaves.)

Girls: Goodbye, Madeline. We'll miss you.

Chloe: We love you, Madeline!

(Genevieve whimpers sadly as she and Madeline sadly wave to the eleven girls.)

Girls: Gone forever!

[All cry]

Miss Clavel: Little girls, do not cry. We must be happy.

Girls: Happy?

Miss Clavel: For Madeline. She is with her Uncle Horst, and he is family. We can write, and one day perhaps even visit! 

Nicole: When? 

Miss Clavel: Pauvres petites. 

(We cut to Madeline and Genevieve who are still looking sadly at the window.) 

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) There's something weird about this guy, Pikachu.

Pikachu: (whispers, agreeing) Pika.

Ash Ketchum: I have an idea. Come on. Let's follow him.

(As the taxi stops at a traffic light, Ash slips underneath it with Pikachu in tow. We cut back to Miss Clavel and the girls who are about to go in the house. Just then Pepito arrives with a package.)

Pepito: Wait! Am I too late? Where is Madeline?

Miss Clavel: She is gone.

Girls: Forever! (crying)

Brock: She left with her Uncle Horst just minutes ago.

Misty: We're sorry, Pepito.

Pepito: (shocked) No!

Misty: Hey, I know let's go to the train station and you'll get a chance to say goodbye to Madeline.

Pepito: (smiles) Gracias, Misty!

(The taxi pulls over to drop off Madeline and "Horst". Ash quickly hops off, crawls out and hides in a corner.)

Ash Ketchum: (in his thoughts) Why is Horst taking Madeline to the Metro when they're supposed to be going to the train station?

Madeline: Uncle? Uncle?

Uncle Horst: Ja, liebchen? 

Madeline: Why do we stop here? This is not the train station.

Uncle Horst: Because, uh, before the train, ve need to go to, uh, the... boutique.

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Boutique?

Madeline: La boutique? Pourquoi?

Uncle Horst: Why? For... a dress. Und vat a dress. A formal presentation dress. Mit, um, um, sparkly things all down the front. (chuckles) Come! (pushes Madeline forward)

Madeline: But...

Ash Ketchum: Hmm... Come on, Pikachu. He's definitely up to something for sure.

Pikachu: Pika.

(Ash and Pikachu follow them into the Metro. They slowly approach Genevieve.)

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Psst! Psst! Genevieve! Hey, Genevieve!

Genevieve: Aroo?

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) It's me! Shh! Listen to me carefully. I'm following Madeline so I could keep an eye on her. Because something strange is going on with her uncle and I do not trust him 100%. So, could you keep it a secret and not tell Madeline that I'm spying on her? Please?

(Genevieve nods her head in response.)

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Good girl. (pets her)

(Back with Pepito's limo...)

Brock: Pepito, what is in that package of yours?

(Pepito unwraps it and reveals his shrunken head, scaring everyone in the car. The driver, frightened by the screaming, swerves the car down the street and quickly stops somewhere to prevent himself from getting into an accident.)

Misty, Brock, & Miss Clavel: Put it away!!!

=== Something is not right ===
(Back at the Metro, a train pulls up and lets passengers in.)

Narrator: Down in the Metro, trains come in and they leave. Everyone was on board.

Genevieve: (barks as Horst suspiciously pushes her out)

Narrator: Except Genevieve.

Madeline: Genevieve!

Uncle Horst: No dogs allowed on the Metro. She will wait until we get back.

Madeline: Non!

Uncle Horst: Ja!

Madeline: Genevieve! Oh, no!

(The train begins to move, leaving Genevieve behind.)

Madeline: Something is not right.

Uncle Horst: Shh-shh-shh-shh! (to passengers) She's very excited. Great changes are happening in her life. Heh, heh. (to Madeline) Be a good girl. Who is in charge? I am in charge. You wish to see the court papers again? Nein? Good. We will discuss this later.

(Unbeknownst to them, Ash and Pikachu, while reading a newspaper, appear in back of them in disguise and are watching to see what happens next)

Ash Ketchum: (suspiciously) Hmm...

Narrator: Genevieve was alone, and she howled in despair.

Genevieve: (howls sadly)

Narrator: Meanwhile in the depot with no time to spare, Miss Clavel hurried forward, unaware that the one she was seeking would not be there. 

Danielle: Voilá!

Chloe: There is still time.

Nicole: We must run!

Bugs Bunny: Hurry! Let's go!

Daffy Duck: What are we waiting for?!

(Everyone begins to run.)

Miss Clavel: Girls, girls, keep in line! Oh, never mind! Run! Tres viet!

Brock: Excuse us! Pardon us!

Misty: We're in a hurry! Coming through here!

(They all run up to the train conductor.)

Miss Clavel: Oh, oh, monsieur! Have you seen a little girl? Dressed like this.

Danielle: With an uncle?

Misty: Who speaks Viennese?

Pepito: And a dog?

Train conductor: No.

Miss Clavel: It is tres, tres important.

Train conductor: Tres bien. I will check les ticket reservations. Un moment. (looks through the schedule) Je regrette I find no listing for them.

Misty and Brock: What?!

The rest of their friends: No listing?!

Miss Clavel: No listing? Something is not right.

Brock: Then let's check every train in the station. Half of you look this way. Half of you look that way. The rest of you, come with me and Misty.

(They all spread out and search for Madeline in different directions in the train.)

Miss Clavel: (singing) Oh, dear! Oh, dear! Something is not right!

Oh, dear! I fear a shiver, quiver kind of fright!

There's something going wrong!

Girls, Pepito, and Heroes: (singing) Oui, oui!

(Back at the Metro, Madeline and "Uncle Horst" exit the train.)

Madeline: Something is wrong.

Uncle Horst: Vhat?

Madeline: This is...

Uncle Horst: The end of the line?

Madeline: Oui.

Uncle Horst: Trust me. I am your smart, Uncle Horst.

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) "Smart Uncle Horst", huh? Well, let's see how smart you really are when you're being followed and watched, Mr. Viennese Man. Let's go, Pikachu. 

Pikachu: Pika.

(Ash and Pikachu exit the train and begin to secretly follow Madeline and her "uncle".)

Madeline: (singing) Oh, dear! Oh, dear! Something is not good!

Oh, dear, look here! I do not like this neighborhood!

There's something going wrong! (rips off her mother's necklace)

What is it? Qu'est ce que c'est?

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! Something is not okay!

(Ash continues to follow them as the necklace begins to lose its beads. Meanwhile, back at the train station, everyone is frantically searching for Madeline, but have no luck.)

Girls, Pepito, and Heroes: (singing) We're searching high, we're searching low.

We've got to find a sign.

Our favorite friend, where did she go?

Oh, dear, dear Madeline!

Miss Clavel: (looks for her in another cabin; singing) Oh, had I only realized

When the stranger came to call?

Who had I only recognized

The danger to us all?

Girls, Pepito, and Heroes: (singing) The danger to us all!

Uncle Horst: (singing) Now dear, now dear.

Everything is fine.

My dear, why fear?

Just put the chin up, Madeline!

Ash Ketchum: Hmmm... (continues following them)

Madeline: (singing) There's something going wrong!

I don't know what to do!

Uncle Horst: (singing) Now, here, my dear, now here.

Just grin! (laughs) And say, "Pooh-pooh!"

Madeline: (speaks) Pooh-pooh.

(Ash continues to secretly follow them until some street urchin grabs him by the hand. After a brief struggle, he manages to pull himself back and quickly hide.)

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Sheesh! What a tough neighborhood! Who would wannna live on this side of town?! (doesn't see Madeline nor Uncle Horst anywhere) Oh, great. Because of that street urchin, I've lost sight of Madeline and her supposed uncle.

Pikachu: (points to where they are) Pikachu.

Ash Ketchum: Huh? (sees them passing by a bakery) Oh, good job, Pikachu. Let's go. (continues to follow them in secret)

(Back at the train station, everyone is still frantically searching for Madeline, but are still not having any luck.)

Miss Clavel, Girls, Pepito, and Heroes: (singing) Oh, dear! Oh, dear! Something is not right!

It's clear our dear has vanished in the midday light!

Girls, Pepito, and Heroes: (singing) There's someone doing wrong!

Miss Clavel: (singing) Someone doing wrong!

Girls, Pepito, and Heroes: (singing) That uncle, he's the one!

Miss Clavel: (singing) Yes! He is the one!

Miss Clavel, Girls, Pepito, and Heroes: (singing) Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!

Narrator: Miss Clavel and the group left the depot despairing. (Genevieve is heard barking) When a sound from the distance... (Genevieve comes running out from the Metro) Had Nicole declaring...

Nicole: Genevieve!

Girls: (with Miss Clavel) Genevieve?!

Misty: Genevieve! Oh, thank goodness, you're all right!

(Misty hugs Genevieve while she affectionately licks her face.)

Brock: Where did she come from?

Danielle: She came from the Metro.

Miss Clavel: Something is definitely wrong.

Chloe: Where is Ash and Pikachu anyway?

Misty: We don't know, Chloe.

Brock: That's funny. We thought they were with us.

Misty: Oh, not again.

Fred Jones: Maybe Genevieve knows where they went.

Shaggy Rogers: Scoob, see if you can talk to Genevieve and ask her what happened?

Scooby-Doo: Rokay, Raggy.

(Scooby-Doo barks with Genevieve in an attempt to ask her what happened. She barks at him in words describing what she saw at the Metro.)

Bugs Bunny: Well, what did she say, Scooby?

Scooby-Doo: She said that they went after them on their own and followed them into the Metro. She doesn't know where they went soon after Horst pushed her out of the train.

Velma Dinkley: Hmm.... This is really weird. Why would Horst take Madeline to the Metro when he was supposed to be going to the train station?

Daffy Duck: And why did he force poor Madeline to abandon her dog at the Metro? Even after he agreed to let her come with them?

Fred Jones: Gang, this really is a baffling mystery.

=== Meeting Madame LaCroque ===
Narrator: Uncle Horst led his niece past decrepit old places, then stopped at last under a sign which read "laces".

(Ash and Pikachu quietly followed Uncle Horst and Madeline to the bad side of Paris until they came across a lace factory)

Ash Ketchum: A lace factory? Why are they stopping there?

Pikachu: Pika?

"Horst": Wha-whoa! (drops the suitcase on his foot) Ahh! Sacre bleu! Mon peid!

Madeline: Uncle Horst, what happened to your Viennese accent?

"Horst": Viennese? Moi? Um, uh, jawolh, jawolh.

Madeline: You are not from Vienna, are you?

Henri: Little troublemaker. (grabs Madeline by the collar)

Madeline: (gasps) No!

Ash Ketchum: (gasps in horror)

Pikachu: Pika!

(Henri drags Madeline into the factory as she drops the last bead. Ash attempts to follow them in the factory but the door closes. He groans in frustration, but he leans against the door so he can hear what's going on.)

Madeline: Don't push! Who are you?

Henri: Henri, to you.

Madeline: (gasps, shocked) Henri? Not Horst? Not my uncle? I have no family?!

Ash Ketchum: (gasps; whispers) I knew this was too good to be true!

Pikachu: (whispers) Pikachu!

Henri: What you have, princess, is a new home!

Madeline: (gasps in horror)

Jessie: (laughs evilly) Yes, and a job at the lace factory.

James: Where you'll be working full-time.

Meowth: Twenty-four hours a day!

(Jessie and James grab Madeline and take her down to the basement.)

Madame LaCroque: (V.O.) Close the door! Sunlight ruins lace.

(Henri closed the door and follows down the stairs but slips and falls.)

Meowth: (his tail gets smashed on by Henri) Ow! (groans) Watch it, you clumsy oaf!

Henri: (laughs nervously)

(Outside, Ash attempts to get in the lace factory, but the front door is locked.)

Ash Ketchum: (grunts as he struggles to open the door, but its locked; whispers) Well, that's just super. It's locked. There has to be an easier way to keep an eye on Madeline. But how am I going to do that without making a scene?

Pikachu: (twitches) Pi? (hops off Ash's shoulder, goes around the corner and sees the windows; whispers) Pika, Pi! (points to the windows)

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Oh, good idea, Pikachu. We can get a better view from the basement windows. (goes around the corner, kneels by Pikachu, and wipes the dust off the window)

(Ash and Pikachu secretly begin to survey everything from the factory windows. But from what they see inside shocked them immensely.

Ash Ketchum: (gasps; whispers) What the?!

(They see nine sad, little girls who are being abused, oppressed, and forced to work into hard labor as slaves.)

Ash Ketchum: (gasps; whispers) Are-Are those...children?!

(He then hears one little girl coughing.)

Meowth: (V.O.) Hey!

Ash Ketchum: Huh?

Pikachu: Pi?

Meowth: Quit your coughing and get back to work, you little brat! (whips her)

Ash Ketchum: (gasps in horror upon hearing her cry in pain)

Pikachu: (scared) Pika!

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) What kind of a place is this?! It's being run like a prison instead of an actual factory! And those children are being treated more like slaves instead of employees! Who would do something like this?!

Jessie: (V.O.) Madame, we got the little red-haired girl just as promised.

Madame LaCroque: (V.O.) Merci, Jessie and James. Very good.

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Madeline!

Pikachu: (whispers) Pikachu!

Madame LaCroque: (applauds; V.O.) Bravo. Such a noble entrance. (appears in the light) Henri, the failed actor. Only good at accents. I hate bit players almost as much as I hate little girls who don't know when to be afraid.

Madeline: I ''am'' afraid. But also, I am brave.

Madame LaCroque: Ha! I am LaCroque. Short for la crocodile.

Henri: (whispers) Would you believe they once called her La Jolie Fleur?

Madame LaCroque: Nobody gave you lines to speak!

Madeline: La Jolie Fleur? The pretty flower? What happened?

Team Rocket: Uh....

Meowth: She wilted.

Jessie, James, and Henri: (chattering) Yeah, wilted.

Madame LaCroque: You do not have permission to speak! (to Madeline) And you, no questions!

(She grabbed Madeline which caused the slave girls to gasp in horror.)

Pikachu: (sparks electricity) Pika...!

Ash Ketchum: (silences Pikachu) Shh!

Madame LaCroque: You will do as you're told! Making lace for as long as I choose. And if you are not quick, (whacks Madeline's hat off her head) I will cut off your hair and use it to make lace!

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Wait. cut off her hair? Laces? Then that means... the laces we've received... are made out of... (looks at the lace he got from Madeline's phony uncle and gasps as he sees human hair, dead skin from scalp, and head lice sewn onto it) Eww!!! (nearly gags, rips off his lace and throws it away in the trash can; brushes any signs of lice as well as its eggs off his jacket; whispers) Phew! That was disgusting, Pikachu.

Pikachu: (whispers) Pika, Pika!

Ash & Pikachu: Huh?

Madame LaCroque: Just as I forged the court papers, I will fake reports from a Viennese school that doesn't exist and send them to the bank that controls Madeline's family fortune.

Henri: And...

Madame LaCroque: And each month...a nice fat check will come...pour moi!

Henri: We get Madeline's money while she's here under lock and key.

Madame LaCroque: It's brilliant!

Madeline: It is criminal.

Fifi: Shh!

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) So, there was no Viennese school at all. It was but a hoax! He didn't sign Madeline up to this non-existent school in Vienna! He and his partner tricked Miss Clavel into selling her to this factory for profit! All so they could steal her family's inheritance and enslave her life away! He's nothing more than a con man! A crook and a sneak thief!

Fifi: Your apron, your pillow for the lace work. See how I do it with these bobbins?

Madeline: So complicated.

Fifi: Oui, at first. It takes much time. But you are smart, no? You will learn fast. (whispers) Just be careful. Do not get LaCroque angry.

Madeline: How can I help it? They tricked me.

(Ash and Pikachu nod in agreement while spying from the window.)

Jessie: And how long do you think she'll be our guest, Madame?

Madame LaCroque: A loooong time.

Henri: Like forever?

Madame LaCroque: Ah, Henri, your mind is so fast. Tres rapide. Bravo! (to factory girls) Remember, work for your keep. Ah, the rarest lace of all is red lace from red hair. Come, my friends. (leaves with Henri and Team Rocket)

Madeline: (gasps)

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Uh, Pikachu, can I have a word with you? Have you noticed that this woman who calls herself Madame LaCroque is '''COMPLETELY INSANE?!'''

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) We gotta figure out a way to get Madeline and these other girls out of this place. Because if they stay here forever, who knows what harm this mad woman will do to them?

Pikachu: Pika.

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Let's stay here and keep watch for the time being. Then when the store closes, we'll go in and help them plan their escape. Okay?

Pikachu: Pikachu.

Ash Ketchum: (glares at LaCroque and Henri as they made their way to the top of the stairs; angrily talks in his thoughts) You won't get away with this, you double-crossing weasels! I am so telling Miss Clavel about what you've done!

=== Searching for Madeline ===
Narrator: While Madeline was trapped, it seems, in one of LaCroque's crooked schemes, her friends on the other side of Paris were working to find her. Where could she be?

Miss Clavel: Girls, I will go with Monsieur Le Gendarme and make a missing person's report. You will wait here with Mrs. Murphy.

Girls: Oui, Miss Clavel.

Nicole: What if we cannot find Madeline?

Brock: Yeah, that's a good point. It'll take days or maybe weeks until they've given up finding her.

Misty: (sighs in frustration) There has to be a way to help Miss Clavel find Madeline.

Danielle: (gasps) I know! We must look for Madeline ourselves.

Girls and Heroes: Oui!

Fred Jones: Good idea! We'll do what we always do: solve the mystery ourselves!

Danielle: Yes! We must be watchful.

Chloe: We must exam all evidence.

Nicole: Interrogate all witnesses.

Chloe: But first how do we leave Mrs. Murphy?

Velma Dinkley: Oh, yeah. We need to distract Mrs. Murphy so we could go out and find clues to where Madeline is. But how?

Girls and Heroes: Hmm. Pepito!

(Back at the factory, Ash and Pikachu are still watching Madeline and the factory girls slaving away under Madame LaCroque's iron fist.)

Madeline: (takes out the last bead and sheds a tear.)

Fifi: What is that?

Madeline: Mama's. It was Papa's first gift to her.

Fifi: Only one bead?

Madeline: (giggles) No, no, it was a necklace. This is the last bead left.

Fifi: How sad. You had to sell the rest?

Madeline: No, I dropped them.

Fifi: Pauvre, Madeline. You lost them all? That is worse.

Madeline: No, no, Fifi. Listen, when I began to think something is wrong, I knew I must leave a clue.

Fifi: Ah, like Hansel and Gretel?

Madeline: Exactement! A trail for the others to follow and find me.

Fifi: Who are these others?

Madeline: Mes amies. My very good friends.

(Ash and Pikachu smile proudly at Madeline for her smart tactic.)

Fifi: (V.O.) You are so clever, and so lucky to have friends who will look for you. (coughs; Ash and Pikachu grow concerned at Fifi's poor health condition) But to leave your mother's beads, that must've been hard.

Madeline: That's why I kept the last one.

Fifi: (looks at the remaining bead with the lion on it) The lion? To make you strong?

Madeline: Oui. And for hope that my friends will find me.

(Ash and Pikachu nod in agreement.)

Fifi: There is nobody to look for me, no one to find me. (coughs; Ash and Pikachu look on sadly at Fifi, feeling sorry for her)

Madeline: You have someone, Fifi. Moi. I will be your friend. See? You must always have hope.

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) And Pikachu and I will be your friends too, Fifi.

Pikachu: (whispers) Pikachu.

(Suddenly LaCroque, Henri and Team Rocket enter.)

Madeline and Fifi: (gasps)

Ash Ketchum: Huh?

Pikachu: Pika?

Madame LaCroque: Why aren't you working?!

Meowth: Yeah, who told you twoips to stop working?!

Fifi: (giggles and coughs)

Jessie: Hey, that twerp over there just giggled!

Madame LaCroque: A giggle?!

James: Or maybe a chuckle.

Henri: Tres petite.

Madame LaCroque: There will be no laughing here! Laughter is banished! Smiling is banned! Happiness is is--

Henri: Verbotin?

Madame LaCroque: When I need your help with words, Henri, you will be invited to speak!

(Madeline and the factory girls laugh but LaCroque silenced them with her scissors which caused them to gasp in terror. Madeline and the factory girls continue working. Ash grows angry at LaCroque, but turns his attention to Madeline and her new friend, Fifi with a concerned look on his face.)

Pikachu: (sad and worried) Pikachu...

(Meanwhile, back at the vine-covered house,...)

Narrator: Meanwhile, inside of the vine-covered house, Pepito arrived with a plan and a mouse.

Cera: This is so stupid. Why did you even have to bring over a mouse, Pepito?

Pepito: Shh! Because this is the only way to distract Mrs. Murphy. Now, we must hurry and keep her busy if we want to go out and help Ash find Madeline.

Narrator: As Mrs. Murphy prepared her meat pies, she did not expect an unwelcome surprise.

(Pepito lets out the mouse, scaring Mrs. Murphy out of her wits.)

Fred Jones: (whispers) Come on, let's move!

(They all run out and leave the house to help look for Madeline.)

Chloe: Shh! We must be very quiet.

Littlefoot: Yes.

Scooby-Doo: Okay.

Narrator: The children and their friends ran quickly without looking back, leaving poor Mrs. Murphy still under attack. (back at the factory, Madeline is feeding another mouse some breadcrumbs) While another small rodent, more friendlier than foe, was begging for breadcrumbs from someone we know.

Fifi: He's our pet. But do not tell LaCroque.

Madeline: Why would I tell LaCroque? She is a monster. (Fifi giggles) Well, she is. You should be allowed a pet.

Madame LaCroque: Stop yapping! Do you not want to eat your lovely lunch? Tres bien! It will be taken away!

Factory Girls: We love stale bread without the butter.

Madeline: (whispers) But at least we have each other.

Fifi: Before, at your wonderful school, you had a pet?

Madeline: Oui. All of us had Genevieve, the best dog in Paris. If only I knew she were safe.

(But little does Madeline know; Ash is still outside watching over her at the basement window and he along with Pikachu are eating their own lunches.)

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Do not worry, Madeline. I'm sure Genevieve is safe at home with your friends. (eats his sandwich)

Pikachu: (whispers) Pika. (eats his Pokémon food)

(Meanwhile, Miss Clavel is at the police station.)

Police officer: Madame, the police artist.

Police artist: Uh, please tell me about the suspect, this, uh, Uncle Horst.

Miss Clavel: Monsieur Horst was tall, elegant,...

Narrator: Miss Clavel chose her words and described Horst with care, while the artist was sketching with talented flair.

Police artist: Voila! (shows a picture of a man with a lemon head)

Miss Clavel: Uh, no. His hair, it was wavy, rather light.

Police artist: (sketches another picture) Ah, comme ca?

Miss Clavel: (gasps) Oh! No, no. His face, a little longer. (the police artist sketches another picture; gasps) N-Not quite. Oh, dear. I'm not sure if this is helping find our Madeline.

(Meanwhile, the eleven girls, Pepito, and our heroes are at the Metro, hoping to find clues. A train pulls up and they exit to search for clues.)

Narrator: At each Metro station along the route, Genevieve sniffed for a clue. (Genevieve sniffs around clues, but to no success) But when their time was running out... 

Girls: Ahh...

Misty and Brock: Aw, man!

Narrator: They had to decide what to do.

Pepito: Next stop is the last. Maybe there.

Daphne Blake: I'm sorry, Pepito, but I'm afraid it's too late.

Shaggy Rogers: And that was the last one for today.

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, last one.

Danielle: We must get back before Miss Clavel.

Pepito: Tomorrow, then?

Bugs Bunny: Yes, Pepito, tomorrow.

Daffy Duck: Exactly! We'll come back tomorrow and continue looking for her. Right, everyone?

Girls and Heroes: Yes! Tomorrow!

Genie: Now, let's get you girls home before Miss Clavel finds out you've been out and about.

Girls: Oui!

(They all board the train and depart for home.)

Narrator: As they left, they all wondered how Madeline was doing now.

Misty: I hope she's alright.

Daphne Blake: I hope she's not sick.

Velma Dinkley: I hope she's not cold.

Bugs Bunny: I hope she's not hungry.

Chloe: Pauvre Madeline.

(Meanwhile, at the lace factory, the clock rings its bell, and the girls line up.)

Narrator: When they heard the factory clock, the girls lined up to face LaCroque.

Madame LaCroque: I'll take that! There are a lot more antiques to be done tomorrow.

(Fifi nervously walks up with stained lace.)

Madame LaCroque: (furiously) Look what you've done! All of your coughing has turned lace yellow! Ruined!

Fifi: I'm s-sorry.

Madame LaCroque: From now on—

Fifi: (pleadingly) Madame, please no. I will be careful I will not cough. (coughs)

Madame LaCroque: You will work only on...black lace!

Fifi: (horrified) Oh no!

Madame LaCroque: I won't have my precious whites discolored! Remember that all of you!

(The girls gasp. Ash is angry and disgusted by Madame LaCroque's abuse towards a sickly little girl like Fifi)

Pikachu: (angrily) Pika....!!!

Ash Ketchum: (in his thoughts) What is this lady's problem?! Doesn't she care that the poor little girl is sick?!

Madeline: What is wrong?

Fifi: With no light. Working on the black lace. It takes our eyes.

Blonde hair factory girl: My grandmama turned blind that way.

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) What?!

Madeline: You can't do that to Fifi! It is heartless and cruel! She is sick!

Madame LaCroque: I beg your pardon?

Madeline: She needs sunlight, she needs more food, she needs—

Madame LaCroque: What you need is a lesson! Silence!

Jessie: Do you know what happens to naughty little children who dare misbehave, little twerp?

(Jessie yanks Madeline up by the collar)

=== Where Is The Hope I Once Knew? ===
(LaCroque throws Madeline in a small detention cell.)

Madame LaCroque: Spoiled brats have to learn the hard way.

Jessie: Annoying little twerps I must say.

Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!!

Henri: And you are the best teacher.

James: (tauntingly, to Madeline) Good night, twerp!

Meowth: (tauntingly) Sweet dreams, twoip! (snickering)

(Madame LaCroque, Henri and Team Rocket laugh evilly.)

Madeline: I don't see what is so funny. (sighs as she takes out her remaining bead) Oh, Mama. (sobs quietly)

(Later, Ash, seeing the villains heading back upstairs to close up shop and head for bed, takes advantage of the opportunity and seizes his chance to break into the factory to talk to Madeline.)

Ash Ketchum: (lets out Infernape and Lucario) I want you guys to keep watch while we go in and comfort Madeline.

(Infernape and Lucario respond affirmatively and stand guard.)

Ash Ketchum: (pushes the window open) We'll be right back. Hopefully, it won't be long. (sneaks in the factory through the basement window; grunts) Sometimes, this spying stuff is getting way too old for me. But our friend is in trouble and that's what matters.

Pikachu: (sneaks through the window) Pi! Pika!

(As they wander over to the detention cell, a breeze of cold air is heard blowing and drops of water is heard. Rats hear Ash's footsteps and scatter. Ash approaches the door to the detention cell and peaks through the bars.)

Ash Ketchum: (V.O.; whispers) Pssst. Madeline. Hey, Madeline!

Madeline: Huh? W-Who is it? Who is there?

(Ash uses his old library card to slip through the lock and open the door.)

Ash Ketchum: (whispers) It's me, Ash. 

Pikachu: Pika Pika.

(Madeline gasps; Ash and Pikachu quietly enter the detention room and immediately closes the door.)

Madeline: (overjoyed to see them) Oh, Ash, Pikachu. (hugs Ash and Pikachu) How did you find me? 

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu and I followed you without getting noticed. I heard that guy wasn't related to you.

Madeline: Non, Ash. This man's name is Henri. He tricked me into coming here and he is not from Vienna.

Ash Ketchum: I knew that guy was trouble.

Madeline: That woman, Madame LaCroque, hired him to kidnap me so that she could keep me prisoner here in this factory while also planning to steal my family's money.

Ash Ketchum: Yes, yes, we know all about it. Pikachu and I heard the whole thing while we were spying from one of the windows. Those jerks were just plain terrible! Oh, I can't wait to give them a piece of my mind once I get my hands on them. Right, Pikachu?

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Ash Ketchum: (sighs calmly) We're very sorry this happened to you today, Madeline. But you know what? I wish you could've been around to meet my very good friend, Ariel, and her husband, Eric. They wouldn't have treated you like those two have.

Madeline: What were they like?

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) Eric is a prince who's noble, very kind, handsome, and incredibly brave. And Ariel. Well, let's just say she came from another world, but wanted to become a part of ours.

Madeline: What do you mean?

Ash Ketchum: Do you wanna know a secret? (whispers) Ariel started out as a mermaid.

Madeline: (gasps) Vraiment?!

Ash Ketchum: Shh!!

Madeline: Opps! Sorry. I mean (whispers) vraiment?!

Ash Ketchum: Yes, really.

Madeline: Tell me more about her.

Ash Ketchum: Okay. (flashbacks of the Pokémon/Little Mermaid series occur) She's beautiful and really nice to everyone. She had this angelic voice that gave me and my friends comfort when we were lonely and weak. But like you, she had red hair, and was rebellious as well as brave. She never was afraid to let anything keep her from being with the man that she loves. Not even her controlling father. But then one day, (sighs sadly) an evil sea witch named Ursula, led her astray. She used her magic to offer Ariel a life-threatening deal. It was to become human for three days so that Eric could kiss her or else she will be Ursula's slave forever. However, I never felt at ease with the sea witch because of how untrustworthy she was on her side of the deal. During those three days while helping Ariel win Eric's heart as well as his affection, I've always felt that Ursula was up to no good. But on the third day, it didn't take long for us to realize Ursula's true intentions when she tried to ruin Ariel and Eric's relationship. (the flashbacks end; sighs) I'm sorry, Madeline. Here I am trying to cheer you up and you're having to lend your shoulder because I'm getting all tearful about my past.

Madeline: It's alright. It helps me talk about something else rather than what happened. I still can't believe how I foolish I've been when I thought that man was my "uncle" from Vienna. But what else can I say? They're right. I have no family and I left the old house for nothing. I wish I'd realized his intentions sooner. (begins crying) Oh, Mama. (sniffs)

(Ash looks on sadly at Madeline.)

Pikachu: (sadly) Pika...

(Madeline sadly looks up and sees the sun go down.)

Madeline: (singing) Here I sit so cold and hungry,

Feeling lost and far away.

Happiness is just a memory.

A patch of sun from yesterday.

Where is the hope that I once knew?

My dreams have vanished it is true.

When will the sun come shining through?

Where is the hope that I once knew?

(As Madeline sings, a fly flies in and gets caught in a spider web. Ash, though feeling sorry towards Madeline for being tricked and led astray by a total stranger, doesn't take her despair lightly.)

Ash Ketchum: Madeline, I understand how you feel. But from what you're saying about you not having a family, I don't believe in it. How can you say that you don't have a family when you've already had one all along? For the last three days, we all thought you were related to someone from Vienna. But this is a major upgrade! You don't have to be blood related just to show us that you have a family. Miss Clavel, Pepito, and all your friends are like a family to you. Heck! Me and my friends are like family to you too. As what Miss Clavel said before, Madeline, families come in all shapes and sizes as long as they have each other. And you know what, Madeline? I'm sure that they're all back at home thinking about you and they're doing everything they can to find you.

Madeline: Really?

Ash Ketchum: Really. So, who cares what Madame LaCroque says? Don't let anything she does hold you down. You're still the bravest, little girl of the bunch. You just gotta have faith in yourself and in your friends. And as long as you do that, then I'm sure that you will get out of this horrible place.

Pikachu: Pikachu!

(Madeline looks at her last remaining bead with the lion picture on it and thinks about what Ash said.)

Madeline: (singing) Friends would call me bravest lion.

I once had that kind of roar. (the bead's lion roars)

If I reach inside for courage,

Perhaps I can be strong once more. (Ash nods in agreement)

Pikachu: Pika!

Madeline: (singing) I'll find the hope that I once knew. (removes the fly from the spider web and sets it free)

And I will make my dreams come true.

I'll see the sun come shining through.

Full of the hope that I once knew.

Factory girls: (V.O.; singing) We'll find the hope that we once knew.
 
And we will make our dreams come true.

Madeline: (gasps)

Ash Ketchum: Huh? Who is that?

Pikachu: Pika?

Factory girls: (V.O.; singing) We'll sing the sun come shining through.

Madeline: Fifi!

Ash Ketchum: Fifi?

Factory girls: (V.O.; singing) Full of the hope. (Full of the hope.)

That we once knew!

(Madeline picks up a nail and grids through the cement.)

Madeline: Fifi? Are you there? (pulls out a brick, revealing the other side of the wall where the other factory girls are)

Fifi: Madeline, we were worried. Are you alright?

Madeline: Mais oui. Fifi, I've decided we must escape.

Fifi: Ah, that is not so easy. I tried. (coughs) As punishment, LaCroque cut off my hair to make black lace. (sees Ash and Pikachu) Oh, who do we have here?

Madeline: Oh, Fifi, this is Ash Ketchum and Pikachu.

Ash Ketchum: Hello there.

Fifi: Nice to meet you, Ash. And you too, Pikachu.

Pikachu: Pikachu.

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu and I couldn't help but feel sorry for you and the other girls.

Fifi: (coughs) You saw and heard the whole thing?

Ash Ketchum: (nods) Uh-huh. I'm sorry that you're not feeling so well, Fifi.

Pikachu: Pika.

(Pikachu nestles against Fifi)

Ash Ketchum: Don't give up 'til it's over, okay? By the way, uh, why is LaCroque so miserable to you girls anyway? Why does she treat you all like prisoners?

Fifi: They say she was a cabaret star once.

Pikachu: Pika?

(A flashback was shown during LaCroque's younger years where she was a cabaret dancer, performing her latest show.)

Fifi: (V.O.) Then something happened.

Narrator: Fifi explained that LaCroque was a dancer whose kicks dazzled all of Paris. And one fatal night through a "seaming" mischance...

(Suddenly, something rips in LaCroque's dress. She gasps and becomes embarrassed. The crowd laughs at her. The laughter continues until one of the dancers accidentally kicks LaCroque off the stage and sends her crashing into the audience.)

Dancers: (gasp in horror)

Narrator: Her fame ended most tragically.

Young LaCroque: (sobbing)

(The tragic flashback ends.)

Madeline: Alors?

Fifi: Then she could no longer perform because she felt so humiliated.

Madeline: Quel dommage!

Ash Ketchum: But it was an accident. Why didn't she just move on and find another job?

Fifi: Because she had no money. So, she sold her long hair to make lace. Now, she runs the factory. (coughs) And she will cut off your hair like mine if you make trouble, Madeline. And I'm pretty sure that she will cut off your hair if she finds you here, Ash.

Madeline: It will grow back. I will take the chance. I will find a way out.

Fifi: You are not scared?

Madeline: I am angry!

Ash Ketchum: And I don't care if that witch cuts my hair if she finds me here. I'm not afraid of her. Even if she does find me, I'll shock her with my Pikachu's Thunderbolt! And whip her too!

Fifi: Wow! You really are a brave person, Mr. Ketchum.

Ash Ketchum: Thanks. And you know what, Fifi? Once you're free, I'll be sure that we can help you and the other girls to your families.

Fifi: Oh, well, you see, we have no family. None of us.

Ash Ketchum: (gasps) You mean you're all orphans?

Pikachu: Pika?

Fifi: Yes, LaCroque and Henri lied to the courts. They say they will take care of us. Then treat us like this.

Ash Ketchum: Well, that doesn't sound fair.

Fifi: No, it isn't.

Madeline: Don't worry, Fifi. We can look after each other.

Fifi: Like real friends.

Madeline: Better. Like family.

Fifi: Family? You think so?

Madeline: I know so.

Ash Ketchum: Sure. A family must always stay together.

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Mouse: (squeaks)

Girls: (laughs)

(Thunder roars and the girls get scared.)

Ash Ketchum: (scared by the thunder) Uh-oh. I think I better get going now. Miss Clavel and everyone else might be wondering where I am and are probably worried about me. But don't worry, Madeline. I'll make sure to inform them that you're safe for now. And the rest of you girls. I  promise you all that I will find a way to get everyone out of here as well. Because I've got a plan. If it works, it will surely help you escape from this horrible place and bring that evil woman to justice for good. And Madeline, here. (digs into his backpack and gives her a blanket to keep warm for the night) It isn't much, but it'll at least keep you warm for the night. Just don't let LaCroque see it. Okay?

Madeline: Okay. Merci, Ash. (hugs Ash before he begins to depart)

Ash Ketchum: (unlocks the door with his card and goes to exit the detention room) I'll be back soon with reinforcements. And remember, stay out of trouble. (closes the door)

Madeline: Bye, Ash.

Factory girls: Bye.

Fifi: Will he come back and save us, Madeline? (coughs)

Madeline: Don't you worry, Fifi. I know he will return to help us. For he promised us that he will bring help.

Fifi: But what is his plan? Will it work?

Madeline: Who knows? Whatever he is planning, I hope it will help us. But right now, we must stay together. Now, listen up, I've got a plan of my own.

(Ash goes back to the window, climbs back out, closes it. and recalls Lucario and Infernape. He and Pikachu were just about to leave as the rain and thunder begin to roar, when suddenly...)

Jessie: (off-screen) Well, well, well. What have we here? Two uninvited guests who have the nerve to spy on Madame LaCroque and expose her lace factory!

James: Well, if it isn't the pesky, young twerp!

Meowth: And his little partner, Pikachu!

Ash Ketchum: (quietly) Uh-oh!

Meowth: Don't think you can get away that easily this time!

Jessie: Prepare for trouble!

James: And make it double!

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now or prepare to fight!

Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!

Meowth: Meowth, dat's right!

Ash Ketchum: Huh. I might have guessed. So, you must be working for Madame LaCroque, Team Rocket!

Jessie: Right-a-roonie, twerp.

James: We noticed two Pokémon guarding an opened window while we're on guard duty and found out they would belong to a certain someone.  However, instead of trying to capture them head on, we decided to wait outside and ambush you at the right time once you dematerialized your Lucario and Infernape. Thank you for doing us a favor, twerp.

Ash Ketchum: (to himself) I guess I overstayed my visit. (turns to Team Rocket) You guys should know that it's wrong to force children to work in this sweatshop!

Meowth: Dat's what da little twoip said dat got her thrown into da clink for stickin' up for de paleface twoip who was hackin' up a lung.

Jessie: Time to teach you a lesson in manners, twerp! Get in there, Seviper!

James: Go, Carnivine!

(Both Pokémon materialize, but Carnivine tries to munch on James's head)

James: Don't attack me, you ding-dong! Let me go!

Meowth: He's in way ovah his head.

Ash Ketchum: If it's a battle you want, then it's a battle you're gonna get! (Takes out a Pokéball) Dragonite, I choose you!

(Dragonite materializes)

Ash Ketchum: Get in there too, Pikachu!

Pikachu: Pika!

Ash Ketchum: Dragonite, Hurricane! Pikachu, Thunderbolt!

(Both Pokémon launch their respective attacks at Team Rocket's Pokémon, knocking them out, effortlessly)

Ash Ketchum: Let's go, Dragonite!

(Ash mounts onto Dragonite's back with Pikachu in tow and they fly away)

Meowth: (coughs) Hey, where's the twerp and his Pikachu?

(Team Rocket frantically look around to find Ash and Pikachu.)

Meowth: Where did they go?

Jessie: I don't see them.

James: Me neither.

Meowth: Well, they've got to be around here somewhere. (sees them flying away on Dragonite) Hey, there they are!

Jessie: You won't get away so easy!

Pikachu: (hears Team Rocket along with Ash) Pika?

Ash Ketchum: (to Team Rocket) You think that was easy? (he and Pikachu shrug it off and continue flying far away from Team Rocket and back to the old vine-covered house)

Jessie: (growls) Forget this! Come on, you guys! We'd better go inform Madame LaCroque that she's got an annoying spy on her property.

=== Tricking Madame LaCroque ===

(Team Rocket knocks on the door.)

Henri: (answers it) Yes?

Jessie: We wish to speak with LaCroque at once.

Henri: Madame, our friends want to talk with you right away.

Madame LaCroque: They do? (groans in frustration) Very well, then. But it better be a good one to interrupt a peaceful evening after feeling very temperamental today.

Henri: It is. They said it's very urgent.

Madame LaCroque: Urgent, huh? Hmm... Are they ready to come in right now?

Henri: Yes, madame.

Madame LaCroque: Alright. Let them in.

Henri: (opens the door) You may enter. (lets Team Rocket in)

Madame LaCroque: Well, what is it?

Jessie: (clears throat) LaCroque, so sorry to disturb you at this hour, madame. But we just wanted you to know that there has been an intruder eavesdropping onto your factory grounds today.

Madame LaCroque: (spits out her wine) WHAT?! An intruder, snooping into my lace factory?! How is this possible?! (glares suspiciously at Henri) Henri, you told me that no one was following you when you were bringing Madeline here, did you not?!

Henri: Oui, oui! I did! I was sure that nobody was behind us! I swear!

Madame LaCroque: Then how come someone was smart enough to follow you without being spotted and then know about the whereabouts of my factory and its secret operation?! Hmm?!

Henri: Uh, well, I, uh, uh...

James: Wait, madame! There's more to this than what you already know. He also broke into this place just to check on the little red-haired girl and comfort her after you locked her away in the detention room.

Meowth: And because of how you run the system in this factory, he threatens to turn you ovah to da authorities and expose your crimes!

Henri: What?! (laughs as if Team Rocket was joking) You're kidding, right?! (laughs until he gets slapped in the face by LaCroque) Ow!

Madame LaCroque: Quiet, you idiot! (to Team Rocket) Where is he?!

Jessie: He escaped, madame.

James: Yeah!

Meowth: Right after he defeated us, he'd just flew da coop. 

Madame LaCroque: After all this time of disciplining those wretched little girls, you failed to catch one boy from escaping?! 

James: He's no ordinary twerp, madame. His Pikachu is far more stronger than you realize. 

Henri: You mean that yellow mouse with the red cheeks laying on that boy's shoulder? 

Jessie: Exactly! We tried to capture it many times, but we keep getting trounced by the twerp and his friends! 

Meowth: And once he get down there tomorrow, he would have the Pikachu use Thunderbolt on the both of you! 

Madame LaCroque: Hmm... Bothersome brat! I do hope we won't see him again. But who knows when he'll be back. He could be onto us. I need to know exactly who this intruder is and why he's meddling with my plans! This could ruin everything! You three need to find some more recruits and bring them here so that we can strengthen the factory's security system. We don't want my operation to be further exposed now that someone knows about it.

Team Rocket: Yes, ma'am! (leaves)

Madame LaCroque: If I ever hear rumors of that street rat invading my property again, I'll be sure to give him a haircut he'll never forget! (takes out her scissors and snips them) But I won't be using his filthy hair for my laces!

(The thunder outside continues to roar outside. Back at the vine-covered house, the thunder continues to roar, and rain pours down.)

Chloe: Look, Ash has come back! And he's... riding on a giant dragon?

Misty: That's his Dragonite, Chloe.

Chloe: Dragonite?

Misty: Uh-huh.

(Dragonite lands and Ash dismounts)

Misty and Brock: Ash!

Danielle: There you are, Ash!

Nicole: Are you alright, Ash?

(Danielle and Nicole hug Ash.)

Chloe: We were really worried about you. (hugs Ash)

Ash Ketchum: Don't worry, girls. I'm fine. But I have something to tell you about Madeline. (takes out a Pokéball) Dragonite, return.

(Ash recalls Dragonite into its Pokéball)

Genevieve: (barks happily)

Ash Ketchum: Hey, Genevieve. (pets her) Madeline was worried about you. (she licks him)

Miss Clavel: Oh, thank the lord, Ash! You're alright. (hugs Ash) But, ooh, la, la! You are soaked to the bone.

Nicole: Oh, my! You must go to the fire to keep yourself warm, or you'll get sick with a cold.

Chloe: And we'll have Mrs. Murphy whip you up some tea.

Ash Ketchum: Thanks, everyone.

(Later, Brock threw wood into the fire to help Ash warm up and stay dry. Mrs. Murphy gives him some hot tea and Misty wraps him in a blanket while Ash begins warming up by the fire to dry up from the rain.)

Bugs Bunny: Here, Ash. (hands him the one carrot he was going to eat) I was saving it for later. But you can have it.

Ash Ketchum: Thanks, Bugs. (eats the carrot) Everyone, I'm sorry I wandered off without telling you first. I was just so suspicious about what that man was going to do with Madeline.

Misty: We understand, Ash. But you know what? You're not alone.

Genie: In fact, we're in the same boat as you. When we went to the train station, we went on a wild goose chase, frantically looking for her.

Ash Ketchum: You did? Wow!

Daffy Duck: And thank goodness, you weren't there with us at the time.

Ash Ketchum: Hmm. Yeah.

Miss Clavel: Now, Ash, we want you to tell us. Is Madeline okay when you were following her and keeping an eye on her?

Ash Ketchum: (sips some tea) Well,... I'm afraid.... I'm afraid she's in trouble, Miss Clavel.

(Everyone gasps in horror.)

Chloe: Madeline is in trouble?!

Danielle: Where is she, Ash?

Brock: Did you find her?

Ash Ketchum: Yes, I did. She's being held prisoner at a lace factory.

Misty: Prisoner?!

Nicole: At a lace factory?

Sylvester the Cat: Sufferin' Succotash! Where's that?

Ash Ketchum: It's on the other side of town. You see, girls, that man who took Madeline isn't who we thought he was.

Eleven Little Girls: He's not?!

Ash Ketchum: Nope. His real name is Henri. And he's actually a failed Shakespearean actor who was impersonating as one of Madeline's relatives.

Misty: An actor?! All this time we've been welcoming an actor?! UGH!!! I can't believe we fell for such a phony! How could we have been such fools to let this happen to Madeline?! We trusted him and we let him drag her into his evil plans! (crying)

Ash Ketchum: Misty, this isn't our fault. You know there was nothing we could've done to stop this from happening. And besides, there's a lot more to Henri than what we already know.

Misty: There is?

Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh. He has a boss who told him to bring her to the factory.

Heroes: Who?

Ash Ketchum: An evil woman named LaCroque. Madame LaCroque. You see, Henri had been lying to everyone all along. Including Lord Cucuface and the Spanish Ambassadors. He didn't sign Madeline to this fake Viennese school as he claimed. He and LaCroque tricked you, Miss Clavel, into selling her to their lace factory for profit.

Heroes: WHAT?!

Daphne Blake: That's human trafficking!

Fred Jones: I thought there was something strange going on with that guy!

Velma Dinkley: He's nothing more than a con man!

Shaggy Rogers: Like, yeah, man! He's a fraud!

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, a fraud!

Miss Clavel: Ooh, la, la! How could I let this happen?! I've been such a fool to endanger Madeline like this! What have I done?! (sobs)

Brock: (comforts her) There, there, Miss Clavel. This isn't your fault. All of us were tricked by two evil people who only wanted to make money. We'll save Madeline and bring her home safely. You'll see.

Miss Clavel: (sniffs) I hope you're right.

Danielle: So, Ash, how did you find out about his intentions?

Ash Ketchum: Well, Danielle, Pikachu and I first took notice about Henri's strange behavior. So, to see what he was up to, Pikachu and I followed him escorting Madeline to that side of town. Then I snuck into the basement of the factory to check on her without getting caught.

Daffy Duck: Really?

Ash Ketchum: Yes. But while I was there, I've learned from one of the factory girls that LaCroque used to be a famous cabaret dancer back when she was a young adult. But, one night, she was publicly humiliated when her dress ripped during her latest performances.

Girls: (gasps in horror)

Miss Clavel: (shocked) Ooh, la, la!

Ash Ketchum: Wait, there's more. When the crowd was laughing at her misfortune, one of the dancers kicked her off the stage by accident.

Brock: Whoa!

Scooby-Doo: (gasps)

Shaggy Roger: Zoinks! Like that's unbelievable, man!

Fred Jones: Ouch! That's gotta hurt!

Ash Ketchum: You can say that again, Fred. And now because of her issues with poverty due to the humiliation that destroyed her career, she sold her long hair to make lace and run her own factory.

Daphne Blake: Oh, is that so?

Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh.

Velma Dinkley: Then that could explain why the laces we got from Madeline's phony uncle were so itchy. (becomes horrified) They're made out of human hair!

Heroes: Eww!!!

Misty: Laces made out of human hair?! GROSS!! Get it off! Get it off! Get it off! (rips off her lace and throws it away)

Little girls: (rips their laces off and react in disgust)

Miss Clavel: Ooh, la, la! Quickly, girls! Throw them all in the fire now!

(The girls throw the hair laces into the fire to permanently get rid of the laces.)

Littlefoot: That is seriously gross, Ash! Where on earth did she come up with the idea of making lace out of hair?!

Ash Ketchum: I've been asking that same question myself ever since I stayed there to keep an eye on Madeline.

Fred Jones: (cringes) But that still doesn't explain why she would kidnap Madeline.

Chilly Willy and Woody Woodpecker: Yeah.

Bugs Bunny: They have a point.

Ash Ketchum: It's because she and Henri has something even bigger in mind with her.

Everyone: Huh?

Miss Clavel: What is that?

Ash Ketchum: They're both planning to bribe the courts with a fake adoption paper so they could "adopt" Madeline and steal what's left of her family's inheritance. Just like how she did it to the other factory girls.

(Everyone gasps in horror.)

Miss Clavel: (horrified) Steal her family's inheritance?!

Mrs. Murphy: (horrified) Oh, goodness gracious!

Scooby-Doo: That ain't good.

Daphne Blake: She can't do that to poor little Madeline! It is cruel and inhumane!

Brock: Not to mention the fact that she told lies to the court about taking care of them when all she's been doing is enslaving them!

Shaggy Rogers: Like yeah, man!

Scooby-Doo: Yeah!

Genie: Those poor children deserve a better life than that! And I thought Jafar was evil.

Bugs Bunny: And we thought Judge Doom was evil, right Daf?

Daffy Duck: Yeah! Who does that wicked witch think she's messing with?!

Misty: Those two guys are sick!

Porky Pig: (stutters) We'll give her a (stutters) piece of our mind! And show her who's the (stutters) boss around here!

Misty: By the way, Ash, how on earth did you escape from that terrible woman, Ash?

Ash Ketchum: It wasn't easy, especially when Pikachu and I almost got caught by Team Rocket. They're working for her. 

Eleven Little Girls: Who is Team Rocket? 

Ash Ketchum: They are bad guys who steal other people's Pokémon.

Brock: Miss Clavel and I will go and inform Officer Jenny and her partner, Bonkers, about Madeline's situation tomorrow. I bet they'll be able to assist her in locating the factory and tracking down Madame LaCroque and Henri with their help.

Misty: And maybe Nurse Joy can lend us a helping hand too. She and Dr. Cohn can provide some hospitality for the other girls who are being held prisoner alongside Madeline in the factory.

Ash Ketchum: Great idea, you guys. Now, here's what we're going to do tomorrow. When Miss Clavel leaves with the police, we'll have Pepito distract Mrs. Murphy with one of his pranks and then we'll put my plan of leading everyone to Madeline's location into motion. Fred, before we leave, we want you and the Mystery Gang to inform Lord Cucuface and the Spanish Ambassadors of the whole situation. Tell them to keep Madeline in their thoughts and pray that LaCroque doesn't inflict any harm to her along with the other girls in the factory.

Fred Jones: Will do, Ash.

Ash Ketchum: Petrie and Ducky, when Miss Clavel leaves tomorrow, help Pepito out and let him know when the coast is clear.

Petrie: Aye-aye, sir!

Ducky: Me too! Yep, yep, yep!

Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) I want an early head start for tomorrow, everyone. So, let's get some sleep. We've got lot of work to do.

(Everyone agrees and goes to get some shut eye. Later, the girls prepare for bed, worried about Madeline.)

Miss Clavel: Do not lose heart, Mes Petites. We will find our Madeline.

Danielle: Do you really think Ash is right about where Madeline is?

Chloe: Oh, I do hope so. Where could she be?

Nicole: I hope she is not lonely.

Danielle: Or hungry.

Chloe: Or wet and cold.

Miss Clavel: She knows we love her.

Danielle: That is true.

Miss Clavel: And we will be looking for her. Tomorrow, I will go again with the gendarmes.

Chloe: Mais certainment.

Miss Clavel: And we won't give up...

Girls: 'Til we find her!

Miss Clavel: Exactly! Bonne wuit, Mes Cheries.

Girls: Sleep well, Miss Clavel!

(Miss Clavel turns off the lights and closes the door as the girls went to sleep. In the other room, Ash and the gang all prepare for bed.)

Misty: We hope you're right about where Madeline is, Ash.

Ash Ketchum: I am, Misty. Trust me. Once I show the girls where she is, you will know what I'm talking about. (sighs sadly) Though I do feel bad for leaving Madeline behind back there. It just... felt like I abandoned her.

Daphne Blake: Oh, don't say that, Ash. You did that so you wouldn't get caught by LaCroque. You didn't have a choice.

(Everyone gets to bed and goes to sleep as the rain and thunder roar through the night.)

Ash Ketchum: (looks out the window as rain pours down) Please be okay, Madeline.

Pikachu: (sadly) Pikachu...

(Ash and Pikachu goes to sleep.)

Narrator: Their hearts were with Madeline. Where was she now? And they prayed that the next day, they'd find her somehow.

(Back at the lace factory, Madeline and the factory girls' pet mouse are both sound asleep. The next day, Miss Clavel leaves with the police to continue her search with Madeline.)

Mrs. Murphy: Bye-bye!

(We go to the Mystery Gang explaining the situation to Lord Cucuface and the Spanish Ambassadors.)

Lord Cucuface: Alright, we understand. We will keep sweet little Madeline in our thoughts. And pray that this mad woman doesn't hurt her and the other children whatsoever.

Spanish Ambassadress: Oh, I hate to see poor little Madeline in such a terrible situation like this! How can she endure such cruelty from a cold-blooded monster like LaCroque?! (cries)

Spanish Ambassador: There, there, my dear. Don't you worry. They'll get them out of that place in no time.

Velma Dinkley: That's right. You just need to have faith.

Spanish Ambassadress: (sniffs) You're right. (blows her nose) Please get them out safely.

Shaggy Rogers: Like yeah, ma'am. We will.

Scooby-Doo: Yeah, we will! (chuckles)

(Later, Pepito appears in the bushes.)

Petrie: (whispers) Okay, Pepito, coast is clear.

Ducky: (whispers) Yep, yep, yep! The coast is clear! Follow us!

(Petrie and Ducky leads Pepito into the old house.)

Narrator: Miss Clavel left the house, just the same as before. But the children and their friends did not expect what they had in store.

(Suddenly, Pepito's mother's cat appeared from the kitchen and snarls at the mouse.)

Pepito: Caramba! She's burrowed my mother's cat!

Misty: Now, what do we do?

Littlefoot: Yeah, Pepito. Any ideas?

Pepito: Jase! I know!

Ash Ketchum: What are you going, Pepito?

Pepito: I'm bringing a little something that I forgot. Wait here, everyone! I'll be right back!

Narrator: While Pepito ran off for the thing he forgot, (meanwhile at the factory) clever Madeline tried a new lace making knot. (Madeline and the factory girls secretly make a message through the laces) As the factory villains inspected the work, it was Madame LaCroque who first spotted a quirk.

Madame LaCroque: Ah-Ha! (snatches a lace from one of the girls)

Jessie: What's this?!

James: I don't know! I can't read French!

Meowth: Me neither!

Henri: Regardez!

Madame LaCroque: I can read! (to the girls) Come up here! All of you! Ah-Ha! (reads the message) "Help! I am a prisoner in a lace factory!" You will stand here all day, all night, all year 'till I find out who is responsible for this sacrilege.

Madeline: Perhaps a flaw in the thread, Madame?

Girls: (laughs)

Madame LaCroque: You think this is a holiday?! (snips her scissors) Get back to your bobbins, brats!

Meowth: You heard her! Get back to work, you little creeps! (whips them) Go on! Get! (whips them more)

(The frightened and hurt girls rush back to their tables and resume their work as usual. LaCroque, Henri, and Team Rocket head back upstairs. Madeline snatches some cheese behind their backs.)

Narrator: LaCroque, Henri, and Team Rocket made their way to the top as Madeline planned a surprise for the shop. (meanwhile at the old house) Back at the old house, Pepito popped in with something to give an old trick a new spin.

(Pepito tickles the cat with a whip, which attracts its attention.)

Cat: (screeches)

Brock: (whispers) Here, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty.

(The cat runs out and catches the whip, but Pepito scares the cat with his shrunken head and causes it to dash into the kitchen.)

Mrs. Murphy: (becomes scared as the cat jumps onto her) AAH! AAH! GET OFF! GET OFF ME! OW, GET AWAY FROM ME! GET OFF! OH, OW, OOH, AAH!

Misty: (whispers) Sorry, Mrs. Murphy.

(Pepito lets out his mouse.)

Mrs. Murphy: OH HO, NO! GET AWAY! (becomes frightened with Pepito's mouse and jumps up onto her stool)

Narrator: Poor Mrs. Murphy was in distress. Pepito's plan was a success.

Pepito: Perfecto!

Ash Ketchum: Alright. Now, everyone, follow me! Let's go save Madeline!

(With Ash and Pikachu leading the way and Genevieve along with Scooby-Doo acting as their tracking dogs, they all head out the door and set off to rescue Madeline from LaCroque. Back at the shop, Madeline has a tasty trick up her sleeve with a piece of cheese.)

Narrator: Madeline had a sly trick up her sleeve and she and the girls tried a tasteful new weave. (Madeline and the girls begin weaving laces with pieces of cheese on them; their pet mouse appear out of its hole and smells the scent of cheese) Who says that a mouse can't appreciate art? It looks so rewarding, he like to take part.

(The mouse takes the cheese and rips one of the girls' laces.)

Factory Girl 1: Oh, no! Madame LaCroque, the thread is broken!

(Madame LaCroque growls angrily and Fifi giggles. The mouse rips another lace while taking another piece of cheese.)

Factory Girl 2: Ooh, la, la! Monsieur, mine is gone too!

(Henri takes the torn lace. Madeline giggles just as the mouse rips her lace.)

Madeline: Uh-oh.

(Madame LaCroque takes her torn lace just as the mouse rips another lace.)

Factory Girl 3: Mine too!

Girls: (giggles)

Madame LaCroque: STOP!! What is going on?! Well?!

Jessie: Yeah, what is going on here?!

James: Tell us, young lady!

Meowth: Well?!

Madeline: There is a problem?

Girls: (giggles)

Team Rocket: (groans in frustration as the mouse, full of eating too much cheese, squeezes back into its hole)

(At the Metro, the train pulls up to a stop. Ash, his team, the eleven girls, Genevieve, and Pepito quickly exit.)

Ash Ketchum: Come on! This way!

(They all follow Ash and Pikachu to the same stairway Madeline and Henri entered through. Genevieve begins sniffing out something.)

Pepito: Look, she is tracking something.

Velma Dinkley: A clue?

Bugs Bunny: A hint?

Daffy Duck: A lead?

Misty: A scent?

(But Pepito stops at a puddle.)

Pepito: Aww, the rain washed away the trail.

Danielle: What now?

Chloe: We cannot lose hope. Madeline would never do that.

Nicole: But which way do we look?

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu and I saw her walk by here with Henri yesterday. Right when they exited the train.

Genevieve: Rroo? (barks)

Daphne Blake: What is it, Genevieve?

Genevieve: (runs up the stairs and finds a bead)

Shaggy Rogers: It looks like she's found a clue.

Pepito: (picks up the bead) What is this, a bead with a swan?

Ash Ketchum: Wait a minute. I do recall seeing Madeline dropping these beads while following them yesterday! She must've done that to leave a trail for us to follow and find her!

(The kids and Genevieve walk up. Nicole picks up another bead.)

Pepito: (picks up bead) Look, I found one too!

Officer Jenny and Bonkers: (through megaphone) Freeze!

Miss Clavel: Why were you running away?!

Henri: I was walking briskly. That is not crime. This is mistaken identity.

Officer Jenny: Can you prove he is the man who took Madeline, Miss Clavel?

Miss Clavel: Oui. (snatches Madeline's suitcase and reveals her belongings)

Bonkers: What were you doing with these?

Henri: Uh, well, I, uh...

Police officer: (sarcastically) Aw, you always play with dollies and wear the little dress? (the doll squeaks)

Homeless boy: (giggles)

Miss Clavel: Tell us where Madeline is!

Police officer: If you do not, it will go very hard on you.

Officer Jenny and Bonkers: Literally.

Henri: Hmph!

Miss Clavel: If he is silent, how do we find Madeline?

(Back with Ash, his team, Pikachu, Pepito, Genevieve, and the girls. Danielle finds the last bead.)

Misty: Aww, that's the last one.

Danielle: What now?

Genevieve: (barks and sniffs at the front door of the lace factory)

Pepito: Look at Genevieve!

Brock: What is it, girl?

Genevieve: (barks and scratches the door)

Ash Ketchum: This is the spot where Pikachu and I saw Henri pull Madeline into this store yesterday.

Pepito: (looks inside) But are you sure this is the right place, Ash? Nobody is there.

Nicole: And we don't see Madeline anywhere inside.

Genie: Me neither.

Velma Dinkley: Ash, if you're saying that Madeline is here, then why is she not inside?

Ash Ketchum: That's because she's in the basement with all the other captured little girls.

Chloe: (sees the window on the other side of the building) Ash, is this where you and Pikachu had been watching over Madeline?

Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh.

Pikachu: (affirmatively) Pika.

(He and Chloe go over to the window and, much to their horror, they witness Madame LaCroque about to snip off some of Madeline's red hair.)

Ash Ketchum and Chloe: (gasps) Madeline!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

(LaCroque snips off some of Madeline's hair.)

Madame LaCroque: Voila! (nearly sees Chloe, Ash, and Pikachu at the window) Huh?! (to Madeline) You do not get off so easily!

(Madeline runs around, but Fifi and the other girl trips LaCroque.)

Madeline: Now!

(The girls begin to restrain LaCroque with thread.)

Madame LaCroque: Why you...!

(Back outside...)

Ash Ketchum: Guys, come take a look at what's going on in the basement!

(They all peak at the basement through the window, and they gasp.)

Nicole: A monster!

Chloe: (gasps) Poor Madeline!

Pepito: Aye-yai-yai!

Ash Ketchum: That's her! That's the crazy lady I've been telling you about!

Misty: (gasps)

Littlefoot and Cera: Whoa!

Brock: No kidding!

Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck: Jumpin' Jehoshaphat!

Porky Pig: (stutters) Oh, dear!

Sylvester the Cat: Sufferin' succotash!

Genie: (Wreck-It Ralph's voice) No way!

Fred Jones: Hold the phone!

Scooby-Doo: Uh-oh!

Shaggy Rogers: Zoinks! Like we gotta do something to help them, man! This woman is out of her mind!

Heroes, Pepito, and Girls: YEAH!!!

(Pepito grabs an old curtain bar and prepares a surprise attack for LaCroque with the shrunken head. Our heroes go to dash inside the store.)

Bugs Bunny: When I get my hands on that lady, she is in for a world of pain!

Daffy Duck: You said it, pal!

(But suddenly...)

Harley Quinn: (V.O) Oh, no you don't!

Joker: Nobody's going anywhere in here!

(Team Rocket, the Crime Empire, Buzz Buzzard, Thrax, Mojo Jojo, Wile E. Coyote, Yosemite Sam, Marvin the Martian, and the Dazzlings all appear in the shop.)

Yosemite Sam: All right, you varmints! Hands up!

Mojo Jojo: (cackles) Now, you'll have to play with us! So, if we were you, you'd better run fast if you can, little children! Because now's the time to be playing run for your life! (cackles)

Misty: Oh, great. These guys?

Ash Ketchum: It's alright, Misty. Before we went to bed, I called in for some backup. (talks through walkie-talkie) Now, girls!

(The ground rumbles beneath them.)

(Suddenly, three colorful lights emerge from the ground.)

Buttercup: Fast!

Powerpuff Girls: Bad guys!

Mojo Jojo: Powerpuff Girls?! But-But-But...!

Blossom: But is right! Now, back off from our friends and surrender immediately, you goons!

(Ash and his friends follow him in the shop.)

Narrator: While Madeline's fate hung by a thread, her friends, Ash and Pepito, were planning ahead.

(Madeline sees Pepito planning a sneak attack to help Ash save her along with the factory girls and winks.)

Madame LaCroque: That's the oldest trick in the world! Think I look back? (cackles) Think again! There is no escape!

(As LaCroque goes to strike Madeline, Brock struggles to open the door. Shaggy, desperate to help Brock, sees an emergency fire axe and goes to get it.)

Brock: (grunts) I can't get it open! It's jammed!

Shaggy Rogers: Like here, Brock! (hands Brock a fire axe) Try breaking it down with this!

Brock: Thanks, Shaggy. Alright, everyone. Stand back! (starts to chop on the door)

Madame LaCroque: (hears the door being cut down) What the?! (growls) You! You did this! You led that street rat into my factory! I'm gonna make you pay for this! I swear I will! (looms in closer to Madeline as Brock continues to break down the door)

(Meanwhile, Miss Clavel, Officer Jenny, Bonkers, and the police escort Henri to the police truck.)

Narrator: While Henri's crooked act was through, in Miss Clavel's mind, there was still much to do.

Miss Clavel: If only there was just a clue. Monsieur, surely, if you help, the courts will not be so hard on you.

Henri: What is it you are saying?

Miss Clavel: They will give you a lighter sentence if you lead us to Madeline.

Henri: You can promise this?

Police officer: Hmm...

Henri: Alright, I'll tell you.

Officer Jenny: Okay. Now for the last time and we're not asking you again. Do you know where Madeline is? (Henri is silent) Answer us! NOW!!

Henri: Y-Y-yes. She's at an old lace factory several blocks away.

Miss Clavel: Lace factory? Wait a minute. Ash did mention something about seeing Madeline being imprisoned at a lace factory yesterday.

Officer Jenny: Oh, well, then, let's go!

Bonkers: What are we waiting for?!

Police officer: (to Henri) You! Lead us to the lace factory! (pulls him in the police car)

(Back at the factory, Brock is still chopping down the door.)

Littlefoot: Hurry up, Brock!

Daffy Duck: Chop faster!

Brock: I'm trying!

(Brock continues chopping the door.)

Genie: I'll give you a hand, Brock! (changes into his firefighter outfit and helps him chop the door down)

Brock: (grunts) Thanks, Genie!

(They both continue to chop the door down until finally it breaks down.)

Genie and Brock: Got it!

(Everyone makes a dash down the basement. Madeline, on the other hand, is keeping LaCroque busy by laughing at her.)

Madame LaCroque: Laughter?! You will never laugh at LaCroque again!

Ash Ketchum: (V.O.) '''WANNA BET?!''' (appears as he screams in anger, rushes down the stairs, and then pounces onto her, knocking her to the floor)

Madeline, Fifi, and the factory girls: (gasps in shock)

Narrator: Luckily, for Madeline, Pepito, Ash, and his team acted just in time.

(Ash looks back at Madeline in concern if she and the other girls are okay.)

Madame LaCroque: (groans and gasps upon seeing Ash for the first time) Why you, little! I'll snip off your hair for ruining my plans, street rat! (begins fighting Ash in a struggle)

(Madeline, Fifi and the factory girls become scared with Ash and LaCroque's fighting. But most of Ash's teammates rush over towards them and give them protection against the villainous woman.)

Misty: Hang on, Ash!

Brock: We got your back!

(Misty and Brock rush over to back Ash up and they summon Forretress and Staryu.)

Ash Ketchum: (holds LaCroque's head up and clenches onto her face really hard; angrily) Look at these little girls! Look at them! (shakes her really hard) LOOK AT THEM I SAID!!! Do you have any idea what they are?! Do you?! They're children! They're children for Pete's sakes! Poor innocent children that you've brought nothing but suffering! Don't you have any shame, you crazy lady?!

Madame LaCroque: (struggles to get up on her feet and backhands Ash to the ground) What makes you think that I care about their age?! Children should be disciplined and must always listen to their employers if they don't want to face the consequences! These girls always have dreams to do what they want if any of them try to escape. Dreams that I myself do not approve for them! Every company needs money to keep their jobs alive! If I let one of them slip out of my lace factory, who else would you prefer to continue running my business?! So I will do whatever it takes to crush their hopes and dreams, so I can keep those brats in line!

Ash Ketchum: Even if it means sacrificing your past life as a cabaret dancer!?

(Madame LaCroque was stunned momentarily from Ash's sudden question. The Pokémon trainer stood back up and rubs his face where the mad woman hits him.)

Ash Ketchum: I heard what happened from Fifi! You were once a successful dancer and everyone adored you when you were on that stage! But after the seaming accident, you were traumatized from what happened and never wanted to show yourself to the public again! You could've at least get over it and find a new job! But instead of doing so, you decided to chop off all of your hair and made a lace out of it so you can earn some money. You realized that you can't make more money on your own, so you hired a failing actor to kidnap all those girls, including Madeline, and forced them to work on your stupid laces! I can understand that you couldn't forget about your pain, but the people who were laughing at you and the dancers aren't to blame for what happened! The reason why all those girls are suffering is because YOU CHOSE TO DO ALL OF THESE HORRIBLE THINGS!! SO WHY DON'T YOU OPEN YOUR EYES AND TAKE SOME RESPONISBILITY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!

Madame LaCroque: (enraged; tries to thrust her scissors on Ash, but the latter quickly dodges it before the sharp tips touches his face) WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY PAST?! I did tried to get over it many, many times, but there was still laughter everywhere that I couldn't wake up from this nightmare! And how would you understand?! None of you were there when I was in my prime, SO DON'T LOOK AT ME WITH THOSE PITIFUL FACES!!

Ash Ketchum: (glares at Madame LaCroque) Believe me... I don't!

Bugs Bunny: (jumps onto LaCroque) Gotcha! (grabs LaCroque's arm and uses her fist to punch her in the face)

(Daffy grabs her other arm and uses her other fist to punch her as well)

Daffy Duck: How do you like them apples, you maroon?! (knocks her down and lets Bugs give her a good spanking on the rear)

Bugs Bunny: Looks like someone's been a bad girl. Time to teach this one some manners! (spanks LaCroque really hard) You'll just have to learn not to play with scissors and not to use naughty words in front of little children! And believe me, LaCroque, this hurts you more than it does me!

Misty: Now, Pepito!

(Pepito swings his shrunken head, knocking LaCroque's wig and revealing her bald spot.)

Madeline and the factory girls: (laughing)

Heroes: (gasps)

Bugs Bunny: Leapin' lizards! She's bald!

Madame LaCroque: (groans; gasps upon seeing Pepito's shrunken head, screams and falls over)

(LaCroque loses her scissors.)

Daffy Duck: I'll be taking these off your hands. (picks up the scissors)

Madame LaCroque: (dodges the shrunken head) Help! Get it away from me!

(Scooby-Doo runs up and bites her leg, knocking her down to the floor.)

Littlefoot: Pin her down!

Cera: I got her!

Pepito: Hurry, we must help everyone save Madeline!

(Pepito and the girls rush into the shop.)

=== Reunited/Madame LaCroque and Henri get arrested ===

Ash Ketchum: Get her!

Heroes: (scream in anger and they pounce onto her as they begin tying her up)

Misty: Give it to her!

Brock: Don't let her get away!

Fred Jones: Make it good and tight!

Shaggy Rogers: (grunts as he struggles to help restrain LaCroque) Hold still, will ya?!

Bugs Bunny: Someone grab her by the legs!

Daffy Duck: I'll do it! (grunts as he attempts to grab her legs) Give me your legs, ma'am! (grunts as he holds her legs)

Madeline: Come on! We have to help them! (the factory girls agree and they rush over to assist them) Hurry, tie her up!

(They all cooperate and tie up LaCroque as best as they can.)

Littlefoot: Tighter, you guys! Tighter!

Narrator: The girls and Pepito dashed into the shop. Just as the gendarmes pulled up to a stop.

(The children rush inside and head downstairs in the basement to help our heroes save Madeline. In the process, punching sounds were heard from the Powerpuff Girls defeating the other villains. One by one, they all pile up and moan in pain from their defeat.)

Crime Empire and Dazzlings: (collapse and groan in defeat)

Yosemite Sam: Oh! (groans)

Marvin the Martian: Owie!

Elmer Fudd: Oof!

Wile E. Coyote: Oh! (groans)

Thrax: Ah! (groans)

Buzz Buzzard: Ooh!

Mojo Jojo: Ugh! (groans and faints)

Bubbles: Ha, ha! We did it!

Buttercup: We beat 'em all!

Blossom: Great job, girls!

(Back outside, Miss Clavel, Henri, Officer Jenny, Bonkers, and the police hop out of the police truck.)

Madame LaCroque: (V.O.) Miserable children!

Misty: (V.O.) Shut up! 

Madame LaCroque: (V.O.) Madeline, you are the worst of all!!

Misty: (V.O.) I said, '''"SHUT UP!"''', you wicked witch!

Miss Clavel: Voila! My angel! (rushes inside the lace factory)

Velma Dinkley: Miss Clavel, hurry!

Shaggy Rogers: She's in the basement!

Daphne Blake: Come quickly!

Blossom: (gasps) Come on, girls! (they all follow Miss Clavel downstairs)

(Down the basement, everyone finished restraining Madame LaCroque.)

Ash Ketchum: (grunts) There! That should hold her for the time being. Great work, guys!

Madame LaCroque: (growls angrily)

Scooby-Doo: (growls at her which scares her)

Bonkers: (V.O.) Freeze!

Officer Jenny: Hands in the air, LaCroque!

Miss Clavel: Madeline! (comes downstairs)

Heroes: Huh?!

Madeline: Miss Clavel! (hugs her)

Bonkers: (rushes downstairs with Officer Jenny and the police) Put your hands in the air, lady!

Officer Jenny: Hands up! Turn around!

(Officer Jenny, Bonkers and the police surround LaCroque as Miss Clavel embrace Madeline.)

Girls: Aww!

Miss Clavel: My little one! Mes enfants, what are you doing here?

Pepito: Rescuing Madeline!

Ash Ketchum: From her! (points to Madame LaCroque)

Madame LaCroque: Henri? (Henri chuckles nervously) (furiously) You rat! (to police) It was all his idea! His scheme! Everything! Oh! Oh, let me at him!

Velma Dinkley: Actually, (clenches LaCroque's face really hard) she's the true mastermind behind this evil scheme, Officer Jenny.

Officer Jenny: Oh, really?!

Velma Dinkley: She ordered Henri to impersonate as Madeline's long-lost uncle so they could manipulate Miss Clavel into selling her to this factory for profit.

Daphne Blake: In other words, they would trick her into unintentionally human-trafficking Madeline so that they could abduct her under everyone's noses.

Fred Jones: And with Madeline slaving away in this lace factory under LaCroque's iron fist, they were free to carry out their ultimate plan. It was to commit forgery by bribing the courts with fake adoption papers and then rob what was left of Madeline's family inheritance.

Officer Jenny: Hmm... Well, what do you two have to say for yourselves?!

Henri: Um... (becomes nervously and attempts to run away, but gets blocked by the police)

Narrator: Then, at that instant, Henri took flight.

Officer Jenny: Halt! We order you to halt!

(The police blows his whistle and gives chase to the fleeing Henri.)

Brock: Stop him!

Misty: Don't let this imposter escape!

Bonkers: Stop in the name of the law! (chases Henri)

Ash Ketchum: Get back here!

Daffy Duck: (pounces onto Henri) Gotcha! (gets punched in the face) Ouch!

Bugs Bunny: There you are, you little-!

Shaggy Rogers: Like I got him, man!

(Pikachu jumps on top of Henri, with sparks sputtering from his cheeks)

Pikachu: (angrily) Pika!!!!

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu, thunderbolt him!

(Pikachu thunder bolts Henri which caused him to scream in pain.)

Pepito: Muy bien, Ash!

Ash Ketchum: Gracias, Pepito. Care to do the honors?

Pepito: With pleasure, Ash.

Velma Dinkley: We'll teach you to mess with our Madeline, you traitorous fraud! (she, Shaggy, Fred, and Daphne throw a net at Henri after Pepito restrained him at his feet)

Bonkers: Put your hands up, mister!

Officer Jenny: Hands behind your head right now!

(Bonkers and Officer Jenny immediately handcuff Henri. The kids took advantage of the opportunity and tie Henri up with a lace pattern.)

Scooby-Doo: (angrily growls at Henri as the fur on his back slightly stands up)

Madame LaCroque: Ah, a fitting curtain for a coward.

Bugs Bunny: Think again, Baldy! (he and Madeline dump a lace pattern onto her, making the girls and most of our heroes laugh)

Ash Ketchum: Now, who's the real street rat, Madame LaCroque?

(Officer Jenny then handcuffs Madame LaCroque, despite being tied up with the laces.)

Police: There will be a substantial reward for the capture of this one.

Officer Jenny: You got that right! We've been looking for this scoundrel for years. And now we've finally got her.

Madame LaCroque: And I would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids and that little red head troublemaker, Madeline!

Cera: Tell it to the judge, you bald-headed freak!

Daffy Duck: Yeah! And tell it to your cellmates in Arkham Asylum! 

Fred Jones: That's right! Okay, Officer Jenny, take them away. These crooks aren't going to deceive any more people now that their crime spree is over.

Officer Jenny: With pleasure, children. (to LaCroque and Henri) Alright, you two, you're both under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can, and will, be used against you in court of law. (she, Bonkers, and the other officers take LaCroque and Henri away)

Narrator: The gendarmes led the villains away. Their misdeeds were ended. Now, they would pay.

Misty: That's what you both get for slaving away those poor little girls and for attempting to steal someone's family inheritance, you thieves!

Brock: Maybe you should try training yourselves before you try being more respectful to children!

Miss Clavel: My brave Madeline! (lets Madeline off the desk)

Madeline: Ash! (runs up and hugs Ash)

(Fifi and the factory girls run up to Ash and hug him, knocking him down to the floor.)

Ash Ketchum: (falls over) Whoa! (laughs)

Madeline and the factory girls: (laughs)

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Dragonite: (warmly hugs them all)

Miss Clavel, the eleven little girls, Pepito, and our heroes: Aww...

Madeline: I knew you would come back for us.

Ash Ketchum: Why wouldn't I, Madeline? You're like family to us. We'd never let anything happen to you. No matter what.

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Fifi: You were right, Madeline. He is someone to trust.

Madeline: You see, Fifi? I'd told you he'd never gave up on us. For he's one of the reasons why I'm so brave. But it's not just him. It's also because I had friends all around me.

Misty: Speaking of friends, we found something you lost.

Chloe: Voici. Look! (gives Madeline the beads to her mother's necklace)

Madeline: Mama's beads.

Scooby-Doo: Yeah.

Bugs Bunny: Every single one of them.

Daffy Duck: That's right.

(Fifi and the girls hug Madeline, thanking her for her help.)

Madeline: You were right, Miss Clavel. Families come in all shapes and sizes. And now, I want to go home.

Genevieve: (barks)

Miss Clavel: Oui, Madeline, home sounds good. No?

Madeline: (giggles)

Ash Ketchum: Fifi, you and the other girls are welcome to come as well.

Fifi: Merci, Mr. Ash Ketchum.

(Later, Ash locks the front door of the lace shop. Shaggy holds up a sign that says "condemned" and Brock hammers it on the door to close the place for good. The Powerpuff Girls throw the last of the defeated villains into the police truck before shutting the door.)

Buttercup: Well, that's the last of 'em.

Blossom: Take 'em away, boys!

Police officer: Our pleasure, Blossom. (drives them away with the police car containing LaCroque and Henri in tow)

Daphne Blake: I had just talked to the one woman who was LaCroque's latest customer. We told her about the crimes she and Henri committed and reminded her that she will be getting a refund soon enough.

Velma Dinkley: Very good, Daphne. And pretty soon, any lace she sold to people will be collected and burned after we tell the health department about how she made them.

Brock: Certainly.

Misty: That would be a good idea.

Ash Ketchum: Yeah. (remembers something) Oh! I almost forgot! (rushes to a telephone booth and dials number) Hello, Dr. Cohn? This is Ash Ketchum. (chatter) No, nobody at Miss Clavel's school is sick. However, (looks at Fifi) there is someone who might need your help.

(Later...)

Narrator: The very next morning, the old house was cheerful. Though Madeline's haircut was still a bit fearful. As the girls left the house, Miss Clavel, Ash and his friends were in shock. (Miss Clavel gasps.)

Ash Ketchum: (shocked) What?!

Pikachu: Pika?!

Heroes: Huh?

Narrator: When they saw they had all copied Madeline's locks.

(Miss Clavel gasps. They all look at Madeline in confusion.)

Miss Clavel: (giggles) Tres Bien, girls.

Ash and the gang: (shrug it off and go about their business)

=== Ending/Family (reprise) ===
Nicole: I know what I would do with the reward money.

Danielle: Me too! I would go shopping for wonderful clothes and jewelry.

Chloe: And travel around the world to exotic countries.

Nicole: I would have a private zoo with all of my favorite animals.

Madeline: Oui, those are tempting choices. But I have something very special in mind.

(Soon, everyone was gathered at a new school built for the former lace factory girls.)

Narrator: At last, it arrived, that wonderful day. But all dreams came true in Madeline's way.

(Madeline snips LaCrqoue's scissors and the girls giggle. The she steps up and uses the scissors to cut the ribbon.)

Narrator: Then Lord Cucuface proudly stepped forward to say,

Lord Cucuface: Madames, monsieurs, mes enfants, if I may, I now declare the new city school for girls, funded so generously by our very own Madeline, officially open! (everyone applauds) And may I say, they're absolutely top-drawer girls, the very best.

(The girls curtsied and everyone continues to applaud as balloons float to the air.)

Pepito: (gives Nicole her marbles back) Por usted.

Nicole: Merci! Gracias, Pepito.

Pepito: Permiso.

Brock: We had just been informed by Officer Jenny and Bonkers that Madame LaCroque and Henri are locked away at the Arkham Asylum in Gotham City. Due to LaCroque's horrible attitude towards children, she is now currently in solitary confinement.

Misty: Very good.

Ash Ketchum: Now we'll see how she likes it when she's locked up in a detention cell like how she did it to Madeline.

Madeline: Fifi (hugs her)

Fifi: Merci beaucoup, Madeline. I am not coughing at last. Dr. Cohn, he has made me better.

Dr. Cohn: Fifi is my star patient!

Fifi: You will visit often?

Madeline: Of course. We are sister schools.

Miss Clavel: I am very impressed you have chosen to donate your reward to the new school, Madeline.

Madeline: It is Mama would've wished to share with family. I am so lucky that my family is so very big.

Miss Clavel: And so is your heart, mei petite.

Madeline: (singing) Arms that warm me when I'm cold.

Lips that smile and never scold.

Ears that listen, hands that hold.

My friends are just like family!

Girls: (singing) Family!

Nicole: (singing) The ones who wipe your tears when you feel small!

Girls: (singing) Family!

Fifi: (singing) The one who'll always be there when you call!

Girls: (singing) Family!

Chloe: (singing) The ones who truly love you most of all!

Madeline: (singing) My friends are just like family!

Girls: (singing) Our friends are just like family!

Narrator: Madeline has friends and family galore, and that's all there is. There isn't anymore.
